I also wish there was room for more books and cartridges.I got this backpack to use with the My First Leappad I got for my daycare. I am able to store the Leappad and six books and cartridges neatly. It's easy for the 2 & 3 year olds to carry around and use and keeps everything from getting broken or lost. This is a must-have!

To keep your My first leap pad together with out damage, I would definitly get this bag, it is perfect for them to take 3 books and 3 cartridges out with them for the ride.We bought this for my middle child (will be passed on to the youngest in a couple years) and I was a little disappointed in the storage (or lack of.) There are only 3 book and 3 cartridge slots, you can fit more in but they seem to stretch out when you do that. They should have built it more like the LeapPad Storage Organizer my older daughter has. Other than that, it works or what it is made for.I have not seen this backpack but all the reviews mention the fact that it only holds three books and cartridges. We (my wife) found a backpack for the Fisher Price Reader that holds twelve books and cartridges. This backpack easily holds the books, cartridges, and the leap pad in one convenient place.Oakley Men's Carry On Roller

Fits well in carry-on compartment of a plane. Enough room for a weeks worth of summer clothes, & very durable. Love it!!I have been using this travel bag for several months and I am very very happy with it. It is durable, and just the right size for a carry on.I purchased this item in early July (2011) and it's already damaged and inoperable. Admittedly, I travel a lot (130K miles this year & counting) but this item didn't even last six months. Specifically, the handle no longer works (the handle won't rise making it next to impossible to do anything but carry the bag). I liked the styling and the size of the bag but the quality is completely unacceptable. My advice, save your money and make a different selection!Black Diamond Demon Backpack - 1953-2197cu in

I mainly use this pack for carrying climbing gear to the crags, and typically carry about 50 lbs for 30-45 minutes to get there. I have however used it with that weight for up to 4 hours and it felt fine. It easily holds all I need for long trad climbs or bolting new routes. As a day hiking or summit pack with a lighter (more normal) load of up to 30 lbs it is extremely comfortable and stable.
I can without hesitation give this pack a solid 5 star rating.

and the print. When others said it was smelly, I thought it was made of plastic but it was made of fabric and streachable
and the zip does not open all the way so your laptop if it is 17" might get scratches while putting it in.Many reviews on this comment on the smell; perhaps some are more sensitive to the particular initial smell, but I only noticed it slightly for an hour or two, and my young daughter who gags at most every smell that is not baking-cookies perfect, held it up to her face and said nothing. So for us, it is a non issue and today it is 3 feet from me at the moment and I smell nothing. If someone is sensitive, perhaps a day or two in the garage unzipped and propped over a vase or something should do the trick, or perhaps soaking in mild soapy water and air drying for a day...
But I am happy with the purchase. It provides nice cushion protection for my 17" macbook pro, will be perfect for airport security, and I picked up the smaller version for my bamboo tablet, since it was almost the exact size of the new-package sleeve for that tablet. Can't beat the price point, and it probably deserves 5 stars for the price category. It would just be nice if it had an extra compartment for the power chord is all -Good quality and looks just like the picture.
Slightly loose for my laptop but it is a 15" one so expected it anyway.
But has some cushioning effect to make it better.Well made and attractive. The price is unbeatable! I am so glad I was able to find something like this perhaps the most clever way to get a teenager to protect her laptop!I would have given it 5 stars if it was actually the same gray color. It is actually on the purple side. Glad i like purple. Nice quality though.

As a laptop backpack, it's terrible. My laptop, a standard 15 inch laptop, and the backpack barely closes if otherwise empty. It doesn't close at all if it's pretty full. It might be OK for a large netbook or a small 12 or 13 inch laptop, but it's not useful anything larger. This rolling laptop backpack is ideal for anyone looking for a mid-size pack to quickly 'store and go' your tech stuff and personal essentials. So far, have traveled through airports, city streets and trails with this pack, and it's proved versatile, durable and functional. Design and size of pack is useful for overnight/weekend trips. Light in weight, good choice as a carry-on bag for flights. Am very happy with this item.

Love the easy touch pull up bar. The bag is on the smaller size, but perfect for my 4th grader. The capacity seems very good.I am actually going to buy it for my 2nd grader too I just wish this was on Prime shipping and I didn't have to pay the shipping twice. My son has been using it for 2 weeks now and can't begin to say how fun it is to roll this along.
I got another Jansport rolling backpack which is awesome, but this Nike one is way too stylish. A+++

Before I get this bag, I spent 3 days looking for a rolling backpack. Last week, I bought the other backpack, but finally, I returned that one to the seller. For this NIKE Backpack, No more words than "Excellent" Love it!!.. Its size is exactly what I want. I can put three law books, my laptop, my "fat" stationery bag (I bet, you cannot imagine how fat it is), and they are altogether. It is awesome!! The magenta color..is "pretty".. The rolling and handle work very well. Thanks to NIKE..this is a very good products. I am very happy when I use it.. Happy Happy ..this wheel bag is large in volume. It fits my fifteen inches laptop. But the stick is kind of loose. The sound that the wheel produce is bigger than I expected. I thought it's waterproof according to someone else's review but it's not. Nonetheless, it worth my money.

This one is perfect. I put three nine-ounce bottles, a three serving formula dispenser, baby food and a spoon, two burp cloths and two bibs, a few small toys, the included changing pad and my wallet in the main compartment. I put five size four diapers and a small tube of rash cream in one of the front pockets, a wipes case in the center front pocket (it's the widest) and more of my stuff in the other front pocket (cell phone, chapstick, hair ties, etc). I keep an extra outfit and, now that it's cooling off, a receiving blanket for my son in the back pocket (there are two pockets in the back of the bag, on the outside).
The cell phone holder is essentially useless you have a small flip phone or bar phone... and even that might be cutting it. But, it's easy to remove since it's just held on with velcro.
There is a bottle pocket, but I haven't used it yet.
I really like the attached stroller clips. The too-large diaper bag that I had came with clips, but they weren't attached to the bag (you had to either leave them on the stroller and hope they didn't get lost or keep them in the bag) and they were thin rubber (which ripped through after three uses). I really like how these are attached to the bag... nothing to lose or store.
The fabric of the bag is really heavy canvas and the zippers are heavy duty. They're not the cutesy (and flimsy) zippers that most bags have.
I think my favorite part is the messenger style of the bag. I hate going into public bathrooms, only to find that there is nowhere to put the diaper bag. The hooks on the changing stations all seem to be long gone and only a few select stores/restaurants have thought to install a shelf or a hook on the wall. So you end up having to put your diaper bag on the floor. Ew. This bag can stay attached to the parent while you're changing diapers.
So, to sum it all up. Great bag, lots of space. I can't imagine needing to take anything else for one child. I think I over-pack and there is still have plenty of space. The only negative I can come up with is the tiny cell phone holder and that's not enough for me to drop a star.THIS BAG WE BOUGHT WHEN MY DAUGHTER WAS BORN AND IT LASTED ALL THE WAY UNTIL WE NO LONGER NEEDED IT WHICH WAS 2 YEARS LATER. WE WASHED IT AND IT NEVER FADED OR LOST ITS NICE LOOK. THIS BAG WAS MADE TO LAST A LIFETIME AND WE DONATED IT TO ANOTHER MOTHER AND SHE IS STILL USING IT 2 YEARS LATER. THIS BAG IS WELL WORTH THE PURCHASE.

I've had about 3 diaper bags that really didn't meet my needs until I found this one. It has lots of room and pockets. The cell phone holder really won't fit any of the newer phones, but there are plenty of pockets to put them in. The extra pockets really gave it plenty more space and helped to organize way better than other diaper bag I've seen. I love how you can unbuckle the strap. It came in handy many times when my daughter fell asleep on my shoulder and it makes it much easier to balance the weight when carrying my daughter. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a very practical diaper bag.I had been looking for a messenger bag that was reasonably priced that met my needs and this definitely did that! It's roomy enough to double as mom's purse as well. The extra pockets allow for so much more. It even accommodates my daughters bottles that aren't the usual cylinder bottle. This is the 3rd diaper bag I've bought since my daughter was born in April. I definitely recommend this!Have had for over a year now for our 3rd child. I have had other diaper bags before that didnt hold up nearly as well as this one, still in pretty much new condidion. Still very nice looking. Highly recommend!Swissgear Laptop Backpack with More Function See Below.(black and Red).

As you would expect from a "Swiss Army" backpack, there are lots of extras. Interior zippered pockets, padded laptop storage area, ipod pocket with headphone hatch, detachable keychain, mesh pockets on the sides for water bottles. Definitely a thumbs up on this one!

One comment though that I hope makes it to the LowePro people is to begin to pay more attention to the needs of the mobile video community. More on this later.
I was carrying a Panasonic HVX200, high definition, a hand-held form factor video camera, three Focus Enhancements DTE FS-100 portable digital video recorders, a .6x wide angle adapter and a large, heavy 2x telephoto adapter both by Century Precision Optics and a set of rods for mounting the telephoto adapter. Of course there was the full complement of batteries, lens cleaning acessories and a small Pentax 7.1 megapixel point and shoot camera.
The tripod I carried was quite a bit heavier and bulkier than a typical still camera tripod. For HD video a heavy fluid head and stout sticks are necessary, even with image stabilization on, to get clean video. Using a telephoto adapter this is especially important.
My total weight load was between 35 and 40 pounds and I must say that the Vertex 300 AW was comfortable beyond belief! I have been backpacking since before the invention of the internal frame pack (almost 40 years) and this pack under load was as comfortable as any I have ever carried. In addition when adjusted and cinched properly the Vetex 300 AW was as stable as any pack I have worn. Even climbing 700 feet in ohe-half mile on a narrow trail the pack was comfortable and stable and truely a joy to carry.
I could easily have carried more weight, if this pack could stand up to more. I have not been able to find any maximum-load recommendations on the LowePro website so I do not know if I exceeded the recommendations of LowePro and/or the design specs, but I could have easily shouldered more weight using this well designed pack.
LowePro should give a bit more thought to design for video camera carriers. The Vertex 300 AW is rated to carry a "professional" video camera. The shoulder mount form factor of most pro cameras (like the ones you see TV news videographers carying) make the cameras larger than the Panasonic HVX200 that I was carrying and I cannot imagine there is enough room in the Vertex 300 AW for a pro camera, unless the lens is detached. That is something the vast majority of videographers are NOT willing to do on a regular basis as a crew travels, sets up, shoots, breaks down and travels again. So I cannot recommend to pros that this pack would be roomy enough. However if the camera you are using is the hand-held form factor this pack is great!
One other concern must be addressed for video camera use with the Vertex 300 AW. Video tripods are generally heavier and bulkier than a still camera tripod. The HD head on mine (a Manfrotto 503HDV with Manfrotto 35-1MVB2 sticks)makes up about half the weight I was carrying. Because the head is so heavy, for stability it has to be carried head down (tripod feet up). The Vertex 300 AW comes with an adjustable and removable attachment that holds two feet of the tripod at the pack's bottom. This is great for my still camera tripod, but two feet of my video tripod do not fit into the attachment. In addition because of the weight of the head I had to carry the tripod head down. Using a couple bungee cords and the straps that are part of the pack I was easily able to attach the tripod and carry it comfortably. I hope LowePro comes up with a simplier solution.
As far as air travel, even stuffed to the gills the Vertex 300 AW fit into overhead bins with ease.
This is a great, comfortable, stable pack if you need to carry a great deal of equipment and long distance and keep it safe this is the pack for you.
Buy Lowepro Vertex 300 AW Backpack Now
I recently went on a 3-week cross country RV-styled trip and took this bag along to handle photography equipment and my 17" macbook pro (uni-body style). It worked well for me.the laptop fits just fine, and if you're needing to shove something else in with the machine (a book for instance) it can accomodate that, though i get nervous of the screen taking more impact than it normally would.
the exterior compartments do well to hold misc items (headphones, point and shoot camera, etc), and the interior storage is more than adequate. I actually didn't take a whole lot of photography equipment, but it was intentional to give me a pack that could handle photo gear along with all of the other miscellaneous items that i had along (books, point-and-shoot cameras, batteries, chargers, etc, etc.
it has a shoulder strap covering panel so you can zip it up if you don't want to have the shoulder carrying straps get caught on things, and it has a waterproof, cinch-down covering in case you go hiking in the rain. speaking of rain, the zippers are the rubberized, waterproof looking variety (I haven't tested it yet in wetness).
the shoulder straps fit well and the waist band is broad to help offload the weight from your back.
it's spendy, for sure, but i think it'll last quite a while and suit my needs well. I don't think I have anything bad to say about the bag. it's only the price that made me swallow hard.
Read Best Reviews of Lowepro Vertex 300 AW Backpack Here
I am heading to China for a year and needed a bag to carry a substantial amount of my photo equipmenton the plane and the Lowepro Vertex 300 AW Backpack does the job nicely. One is able to move the velcro
dividers and adjust the interior of the bag to meet ones storage needs. Also, there are added compartments for miscellaneous items adding to it's versatility.
This bag is definitely for someone who needs to travel with a lot of equipment for an assignment or for an extended photo trip. If you need a bag for walking around with two or three lenses and a DSLR /SLR then honestly this might just be too much bag.
I am able to pack away quite comfortably the following:
Nikon D300s body w/battery grip
Nikon D3s body
50mm lens
85mm lens
180mm lens
28mm-75mm lens
80mm 400mm lens
8mm fisheye lens
12mm 24mm lens
2x teleconverter
15" MacBook Pro
SB800 speedlight
Light Meter
Nikon SC-28 cord
Battery Charger
70" tripod
an international electrical plug adapter kit
various filters, flash memory cards, dust cloths, etc....
I have used Lowepro products before and have always been happy with their quality. I have been caught out in the rain and snow before and their bags have always protected my equipment. As far as airport carry on back pack camera bags that carry a great deal of equipment it does not get much better.
Want Lowepro Vertex 300 AW Backpack Discount?
Lowepro gets it right, February 11, 2009I have had Lowepro backpacks for many years and always loved how they fit me and how practical their compartments & configuration were. I bought my Tamrac camera backpack 4 years ago and it is also a nice backpack but I outgrew it and on a recent trip to Europe, it developed a split on one side. A couple other photographers in Europe were using various Lowepro Vertex packs and I soon bought the Vertex 300 AW to upgrade and replace my Tamrac.
I dont know why I didn't get a Lowepro to begin with as I knew their reputation and my own experiences with their packs. It is simply a great backpack and fits 2 DSLRs, 100-400mm, 70-200mm, 100mm macro, 24-70mm, 17-40mm, 10-22mm, 580EX & 430EX flash, Macro ring light and all my CF cards, batteries, card readers, & my 15.4 inch laptop (although it will fit a 17").
The straps are easy to control and snugs up tight & comfortable making this heavy load easy to carry.
It is harder to pick this loaded backpack off the floor than it is to carry it on your back.
It also comes with 2 pull out covers: 1. for covering the belt/shoulder straps for storing in overhead bins, etc.. & 2. a rain cover that covers the entire backpack to keep everything inside protected from rain/weather. I love this feature as I live in the Pacific Northwest and it rains a lot here.
On top of all this is a tripod carrier that is also easy to position and use.
I highly recommend this pack but will warn that when it is full, it is very heavy. Lowepro Vertex 300 AW Backpack
