Clik Elite Compact Sport Camera Backpack
I went hiking along a shore, a HUGE wave slammed us, though I was able to hold onto the rocks just fine, I was certain my camera had gone to expensive gear heaven. Much to my pleasure the construction of this bag and its water resistance kept my camera and lenses in pristine shape. Instantly worth every penny. Now if I could only find my slippers that were swept away in the wave.Overall, this pack is great. It's about the same size as my camelback MULE and will accept the 100 oz reservoir from my camelback. The pack fits nicely and is comfortable to mountain bike or hike with all day long. The camera compartment is big enough to hold my Canon T2i with 24-105 lens attached and the hood reversed or removed. Any lens bigger will not comfortably fit. Side pockets hold the cases, filters, and other odds and ends (e.g. extra batteries, memory cards). The upper pouches contain enough room for some food, a spare tube, essential mountain biking tools, and a lightweight jacket.
My gripe:
The camera compartment contains a zipper, allowing you to unzip the divider which separates the lower camera compartment from the upper compartment. When the divider is unzipped, you have a pack with one large compartment. However, when the compartment is zipped, as I always keep it, the natural place for the zipper handle is right beneath the battery pack of my camera! There is NO cloth sleeve for the zipper handle. No matter how I arrange the camera in the compartment, the metal zipper handle would be able to rub up against the camera body not something to be ignored if you're going to be hiking or biking with this pack on. I wrapped a thick piece of fabric around the zipper handle to protect my camera body, but for this pack's price and photo-specific purpose, I feel I shouldn't have to do this. Fortunately, the rest of the camera compartment is well thought out.

There have been enough reviews of this backpack that I don't need to add much, but to say it's heavier than the Tenba and a few shades darker than the photo leads you to think. I'm carrying a D90, SB600 flash, 55-300mm f3.5-5.6, 17-50mm f2.8, and 35mm prime lenses, plus a few little accessories and sometimes monoor tri-pod to outdoor events and on walks through woods. Although there is room, I appreciate the way it's organized (it's smart to have side access and to compartmentalize top from bottom), and like the comfort (it has a curved back and well padded straps), I believe I'll need to exchange this pack for one that is lighter in weight and color. When the sun beats down on your pack from March to November, you realize pretty quickly that you have to have light tan! I primarily will use this for hikes 4 hours or less. Took this out for the first time yesterday, and was very impressed. My camera kit fits nicely, is secure, and easy to access (though it is a smaller kit as I have a Sony Nex 5), and there are plenty of pockets/space for everything a hiker needs to bring along. I am really size conscious with pack's, and love all of the thought that went into designing a high end camera/activity pack. There are more pockets to store stuff in than the images of this product lead on...The reasons this didn't get 5 stars:
-The hydration pack compartment seems like an afterthought. Both 100 & 70 ounce camelbak's fit, but it's not as seamless, which one would expect in a hybrid pack. I actually bought a 70 ounce osprey bladder specifically for this pack as those bladders have a rigid, contoured back to them. With this pack you really feel the camelbak on your back more than other, hiking specific packs because the fit is so tight.
-The verdict is still out on comfort. This definitely felt 'different' while I was carrying it around. It may just take getting used to as I have used camelbak packs for years, but my upper back felt a bit uncomfortable and was a little sore after the hike. Again, this could just be due to using a pack with different back padding then I'm used to, plus some extra weight. Also, I'm going to try hiking without a bladder next time to see if the bladder aids the discomfort.
-When stored in the backpack it does take a few seconds longer to access the camera than I would like. I have to quickly remover the sternum & torso straps, swing the pack over, and pull out the camera. Yes, this only takes 5 seconds...but I wish I could just reach over, unzip the compartment, and grab the camera.
I did a lot of research on different hiking backpacks, and with this product it seems like with a few minor adjustments this pack will be unbeatable. But Clik Elite came close!I've been looking for a day hike pack, the main purpose of which would be to protect my DSLR gear. My Canon T1i with the 18-55 attached, the 55-250 telescopic, and 55mm fixed (small lens) were crammed in there. I felt like the camera body was going to get scratched every time I put it in/took it out. I also couldn't configure it to a point where I didn't feel that the camera body was going to just fall out when I unzipped without it being very difficult to get out of the bag. The other complaint I had was that the water sleeve pocket with padding (the part that would be flush against your back) was very hard and curved in toward my back, making it very uncomfortable on my upper back. I may have a somewhat bony back, but it would have taken a lot softer padding to make it comfortable. So it's going back.. and my search continues.

I have a final betsy Johnson bag that Imam always digging ton find surf in, I put this in there and it fit perfectly. It looks neat and organized. It's not as tall as the bag itself so I have Rooney to lay folded blanket or a changing pad on top of everything. I bought a very expensive gorgeous large leather tote. The leather is soft, the purse is very large and it turned into a black hole for all my stuff. I could not find a thing in there and could not stand it anymore. Since my purse is very large I decided to order this product because it is one of the largest organizer inserts. I know it is really meant for diaper bags but if it does the job, who cares! It is fantastic. It fit perfectly into my purse and it organized me immediately. There is a little section for anything I need. I keep my wallet in one section, my makeup in another, etc. I can see it all now and not have to fumble through to find something. It also stands up well enough so that my purse has more shape and does not collapse inward. I am looking forward to using this a lot. The only negative is that the material could be higher quality. I think it will hold up though for my needs.Gregory Mountain Products Palisade 80 Backpack

I purchased the Palisade 80L pack in March of 2012 and I have since used it backpacking in Arizona, on a cycling trip through Ireland, hiking in Scotland, and the Camino de Santiago in Spain. This pack has proven itself time and time again for it's reliability, comfort, and durability. I originally purchased this pack for its ability to carry heavy weight without too much strain on the body. I am 5' 10", 160 lbs with a damaged shoulder and I can carry an easy 50+ lbs without any issues. Most of my trips have been loaded with 25-30 lbs plus a grocery bag of food. One thing to consider is that it is not waterproof and a rain cover should be used. Through a series of unfortunate events, my pack ended up in the Atlantic on the Irish Coast. I was able to remove the aluminum supports and drop it off at a cleaner, good as new.
I was worried about the pack being too large or too heavy but the good news is, if you need the space, you have it! If you don't, empty space never hurt anyone. I would highly recommend this pack and I look forward to many more years of use.

Fits our digital camera and our Flip cam plus all the accessories in one tidy case. The bright color means that the gear won't be lost/left behind. We own other Built neoprene cases/bags and are happy with this and the other Built products.Yeah, this sucker is huge. If you have really bulky stuff, you probably couldn't zip it with the Mini, but I fit several small items in there and it zipped tightly around my Mini. Cool. The product meets all my expectations and my experience of this purchase is exceptional. PROS:
The bag is large enough (in fact, it seems a little larger than the older model) to hold plenty of stuff. We easily fit in 1-2 spare outfits, socks, shoes, binkies, nursing cover, 1-2 bottles, lotion, hand sanitizer, formula, and of course diapers and wipes.
I like that the changing pad on the front can unzip and the wipes and diapers fit nicely in convenient pouches in the front. The pad can be removed for easy washing as well.
The bag has sufficient storage for smaller items (2 side pockets are perfect for hand sanitizer, lotion, binkies, or cell phone. The inside has a couple open pouches as well as a zipped pouch.
The outside has a nice texture that doesn't snag like our old model (it had a fuzzy texture that sometimes caught on velcro and tape). It's a simple "stamped" style pattern but it doesn't look or feel cheap.
We almost always use the back-pack style straps since we prefer having both hands free for carrying other objects (like the baby carseat!). If you use it over your shoulder it can slip pretty easily since the straps don't have any padding or grip.
CONS:
Although not a straight "con", the straps are still a little simple. I thought they might add some padding, but I also haven't ever had too many heavy items in the bag that would require a lot of padding. Besides, how long am I ever carrying the bag? 10 minutes at most? Usually it is in the car, on the ground, or in the stroller. So the padding isn't a must.
COMPARISON TO OLDER MODEL:
So far we like this newer model much better. The biggest improvement is the lack of velcro on the top flap that folds over the whole bag. On the older model they had velcro that came loose by simply picking up the bag. So if you forgot to zip up the bag and simply folded over the flap, the contents of the bag would spill out. But on this newer model, they have magnets (stronger than the velcro) as well as 2 snap settings (1 for normal fit, 1 for stuffing in extra capacity into the bag). It seems like they listened to their customers and we thank the company for that.
Hopefully this review helps you in your decision to buy. We like the bag... it's functional, looks good (come on, I'm a guy and I don't mind carrying it), and it works great. If you appreciate this review, please let me and the other reviewers know. And leave a comment with any questions.

The pack is well made and the right size for a five-year-old, but it does not have padded straps, which is a deal-breaker for me. The lack of padding means it is only suitable as a toy and not something my preschooler can carry her stuff to and from school in. Not worth it for the price; I am returning it.The size is perfect for my 4 year old. I have bought others that were too small. He'll be able to use it for a years before needing another one.Standing at 5'0, I'd say I'm pretty short/petite. As a college student I needed a backpack that wouldn't dwarf me, like most backpacks do. This backpack fit perfectly. The material is durable and does not stain easily. I've had this bag for about 3 years now and it still holds up great. I can usually fit a large textbook, 2 notebooks, a water bottle, lunch, wallet, phone, and pen case inside, while still carrying it comfortably.Timbuk2 Wingman Suitcase
I ordered both the small and medium to inspect them in person and compare the sizes. I came to the following conclusion:
Medium: May fit under the seat if it is not fully loaded, but when fully loaded will likely only fit in the overhead bin.
Small: Will easily fit under the seat, even when full loaded.
I decided to go with the small based on this observation and returned the medium. The small will fit a decent amount of folded clothes in the main compartment and I can even squeeze a pair of shoes in there (men's size 11), but this reduces the amount of space available in the side pockets. The laptop compartment is fairly large, even on the small, and I'm able to fit a 14" Dell Latitude with extended battery (13.9" x 10.3" x 1.3") easily.
I can only really find two cons, which aren't a big deal to me, but may be for others:
As other reviews have mentioned, the laptop compartment is hard to zip if the cinch straps inside the main compartment are pulled tight. This problem is worse when there are very few clothes, since the strap will be cinched tighter. When I have it loaded with a large amount of clothes, it's not really a problem.
There is no water bottle holder. One could easily fit on the side opposite the main zippers (and I'm considering adding one), so I don't see why it wasn't included.
Overall, this a very quality bag and will last a very long time. I was able to purchase it on sale and I'm not sure I'd be willing to pay full price, but if you can find it discounted I think it's worth it.I took this on a 3-week trip to Italy and carried it on airplanes, boats, and trains, as my only luggage. It held up really well and fit all of my stuff (although I did laundry during the trip), including shoes and souveniers. I mostly carried it backpack-style. If you want to travel light, this backpack is very lightweight and pretty roomy. I definitely recommend it.

I fly twice a week for work, and frequently find myself stuck on the smaller regional jets that some airlines have fallen in love with. The overhead bins on many of these planes will not accommodate even a smaller "rollaboard" suitcase. My Eagle Creek rollaboard JUST MISSES fitting into a CRJ900 overhead by 3/4" because of its lower rigid frame, so I'm forced to gate-check it. The Timbuk2 Wingman (Medium) has the same length-by-width footprint as my rollaboard (21" by 14"), and fits into the small overhead bins! No need to gate-check my bag and wait 10-15 minutes in the jetway for the bag to be unloaded and brought up!I was also very pleased to find that if you use the Eagle Creek Pack-It Cubes (which I do) to organize your packing, the Wingman nicely fits a pair of the full sized Cubes as a layer. So, it can easily hold 4 full Pack It Cubes (2 per layer) or 2 Cubes and the larger Eagle Creek Folder (I have the 18" folder but the 20" should fit as well) with some room to spare.
For me, the backpack straps complete the package. I had to stand in customs lines on my first trip with this bag, and never experienced any fatigue, where I'm sure I would have wanted to set the bag down if I'd used the included shoulder strap.
The computer pocket is huge, but I have to admit I won't put my Macbook Pro 13" in there without the additional protection of a sleeve. I'm using the Timbuk2 Quickie. It fits in the pocket, and I just pull it out before tossing the Wingman bag into the overhead.
Time and travel will tell how durable this bag is. My wife has owned some other Timbuk2 bags that she carries 20 pounds of books and paperwork in. With a lifetime guarantee, I'm certainly willing to see how well this bag stands up to life on tho road.

This is a very lightweight, portable option to a wheel aboard carry on. I wish it was an inch or two thicker to be closer to the max carry on size but it serves my purposes well. The first time I used this was on a 12 day trip to Europe where we were taking trains from city to city and I didn't want to be dragging my luggage on the subway. This was my only bag in addition to a small shoulder bag. I fit 6 days worth of clothes in here plus my toiletries and a few miscellaneous items. The bottom pocket is great for a spare pair of shoes or dirty laundry since it has a flexible divider. The top pocket is great for your 3-1-1 liquids bag for quick access going through security. The small front pocket is great for stashing boarding passes or a thin guide book or a stocking cap and gloves. The back pocket which is designed for a laptop is also great for all your important paperwork for your trip since if you wear this as a backpack that side is inaccessible to pickpockets. The mesh pocket in the flap when you open the main compartment is good for small items like socks and underwear. The straps in the main compartment help keep everything from sliding around when cinched tight.
I have only carried this as a backpack and my one suggestion is to add a sternum strap for comfort which you can buy on Amazon or elsewhere from the manufacturer. Using a packing folder organizer in it helps add structure but isn't necessary. I removed the shoulder strap for carrying it as a messenger bag and use that on a different bag. I have used this on a half dozen trips and its great for anywhere from a weekend to a week if you're a light packer. I even fit it under the seat on a smaller plane that didn't have dividers between the underseat area in front of my husband and I. The small size would probably be better for that purpose but I don't really need two of these.
For trips where a roller bag is inconvenient or too big, this is my go to bag now. This bag was great for a trip with the kids. As a Dad I'm always carrying something besides my stuff. Being able to use this as a backpack while still having the organizational features of luggage was great. I always had 2 hands available and the bag didn't flop around like a messenger bag would have. This is not a real backpack however. If your thinking about hiking the appalachian trail with this thing you'll be sorry. Its comfortable enough to get you through the airport but its not a super long distance hauler. To be fair I don't think it could be. Most real backpacks of this size have some sort of frame and weigh twice as much which would not be an advantage on a plane. I normally travel very light. I don't bring more than 4 days of clothing as I always find a way to clean them. Having said that this bag swallowed this easily. I didn't bring a suit or a change of shoes which would have filled more of this bag. The suit also would have needed some protection or at least the dry cleaning bag as it might wrinkle. I found the internal straps very helpful in keeping the clothes compact and less lumpy. I also got the packing cube which is helpful. The bag fit very easily on all the planes and the messenger strap did double duty replacing a cheap strap on a soft sided cooler during the trip. All and all if you travel light and need both hands to manage other stuff and want to get through airports quickly this bag is perfect. If I still traveled a lot for business I might use this bag. I always found the wheeled bags would fall over or be difficult to get around in a crowd. It was nice not to be trailing a rolling bag. I just don't know if it would wrinkle your suit.

There is way more room than you think, it is very comfortable to wear, and having two hands free is the best part.Love it!. Really good quality and great amount of pockets for all those endless essentials. Impressed as i can also fit my things in there too! Only improvements would be to be able to make the rucksack straps a little shorter and another section inside to keep nappies away from everything else. Otherwise really please with it and the delivery.
