I ordered this bag for my son to carry around his own water bottle and snacks while on our trip to Disney. It is the perfect size without being to bulky. It was large enough to hold a small lunch box, a water bottle, a small (99 cents) first aid box, and an emergency poncho.
I wanted something to take with me to the gym but not something that would be bulky like a regular backpack. This little backpack serves the purpose of me being able to place my notebook, straps, weight lifting gloves, protein shaker bottle, and a 1.5 liter water bottle and still not be bulky. I still have room on the front zipper to put my keys and other small items, if I wanted to. I love it! I would totally recommend one of these to anyone wanting something light with plenty of room.

These backpacks are smaller that I thought but we are going to try to use them for school this year anyway. I standard size folder or notebook does fit but thing that would be bigger than that prob would not. Not a lot of pockets but does have the headphone port that is nice. It is more like an overnight bag or sports bag as opposed to a school bag. This is the perfect laptop carrier. Neopreme material offer just the correct amount of stretch to fit laptopmousepad, & notepad in main compartment. The side compartment hold power cord, mouse, and usb HDTV adapter. The pocket in the shoulder strap is perfect for mp3 player and earphones.Choice of size is important to understand that it's your size in addition to laptop. Whatever shirt size you wear choose same size back pack. My husband, main carrier of unit. is 6' 170#s and the large fits best to give him a little wiggle room for the straps. We also have a medium and although it fits him he prefers the comfort level of the large size.
Well worth ever penny we paid for it. Consider any of this product line for quality products.
The day after I got it, I tried putting my 15" unibody MacBook Pro with Golla sleeve in the main compartment and it was a snug fit. Seeing as this variation of the pack should be able to carry 17" notebooks as well, I reckon that if I put the MacBook Pro in without the Golla sleeve, it would be a nice fit. Thing is, if you want to put anything else in there with the notebook, you might, depending on the object, wind up scratching it or something. If this is not an issue for you, then no worries.
As for the side pocket for accessories, I was expecting like a little pocket that can contain power bricks, power cords, and some knick knacks but was pleasantly surprised upon closer inspection, to find out that the side pocket goes into a separate compartment (in front of the notebook) and is composed of pretty much the entire backpack and part of the lower straps. Nice. But as with the main compartment, if you put them in a water-tight plastic "sleeve" like I do, they will be a tight fit. If you put the items in one at a time without the sleeve and they fit nicely and don't really add much to the bulk of the pack.
The fit of the pack is nice and it hugs my sides and back real well, very streamlined. You can even secure the sternum strap if you aren't using it so it doesn't flap around and get caught on things.
As the title of this review says, it's a nice, minimalist pack and if you just want to lug around your notebook, some accessories and knick knacks, then this is the pack for you.

I've only had this backpack for about a month and I've been very gentle with it(as it houses my new macbook). Its tearing at the bottom corners at the seems. I like how the backpack looks, but I'm pretty disappointed in the build. I might be able to fix it, but I'm probably going to end up replacing it soon.

I have always tended to get the zip-type cases or sleeves, but the HP one was a simple foldover design.
More recently, I acquired a Toshiba Portege 13" ultrabook, and it did not come with a custom sleeve, but I wanted one like the HP Spectre sleeve.
This ain't quite that, but it's close and I'm happy with it.
It's a little bit roomy (all directions) for the Portege, which is razor-thin, but the fit is pretty good. The foldover action works fine and it's quite easy to slip the Portege in and out of the sleeve.
One thing I did notice was that it does have a very strong odor for the first several days, but that fades.
All in all, it's a good case for the price and provides a good (though not great) fit for a thin 13" ultrabook.
EDIT: Also tried the case with a Dell XPS13 ultrabook. The XPS has a smaller footprint, but is a little thicker than the Portege. It actually is quite small inside the case, with at least 1" on all sides excess space. The XPS 13 promotes itself as having the same footprint as an 11" ultrabook, so if you have the XPS13, you may find this case to be too large.

JanSport Air Cure Backpack
The short: Sure, it might last a long time, but that doesn't alleviate anyone in backpack hell (Well, it's not *that* bad, but it's uncomfortable).The long:
I needed to replace my North Face Jester backpack after 4 years of use. I ride my motorcycle to school everyday, so I wanted something that would last more than 4 years. Perhaps I was asking for too much?
I looked into motorcycle specific backpacks, but they were pretty costly and were a pound or two heavier than your regular daypack. I liked the look of the Air Cure. It was simple and had a large volume capacity. Now, my gripes:
1) As it turns out, simple and blocky does not mean ergonomic. The pack just doesn't feel that great, even with it's narrow "S-shaped" straps, which I'm sure is a patented design. Broader straps distribute weight better -padding just reduces shock (or, could the springiness even aggravate it?)
2) It doesn't come with a middle clip to take the load off your back, but that was my mistake, I should have checked for that in the pictures. But in any case, it lends to the whole "simple but too simple" lack of ergonomic design.
3) It stores a lot. I mean, a lot. 2200ccs or something like that. 4 times my motorcycle's engine displacement. In any case, that doesn't help. With the "simple" block design, more stuff just makes the load feel even worse. Here's a function to describe the comfort of a backpack: Comfort(W,E)= W x E, where W = weight of your stuff, E = ergonomic design, where 0 is the best value. With a subpar design, more stuff feels like even more stuff.
Lesson learned you have to try the pack on with full weight before you purchase it. I would return this guy, but seeing as how I waited almost 2 weeks for it to arrive, I really don't want to deal with shipping. Oh, and as a final note, if I could rate shipping (separate from my product review), I would give it a 1-star. Perhaps they should take the fluff out of their shipping time and apply it to their shoulder straps.
Final note: I'm going to wear this around for a while and adjust my rating as necessary. Might be some redemption value if I get attached to it.
EDIT: After some use, I've noticed that the bag will tend to fatigue your shoulders at high loads because it's so top-heavy, which, rather than just pulling down on your shoulders, also pulls back on your shoulders.

A simple and capacious backpack with no unnecessary pockets.It has two big compartments, that can contain a lot, with no other pockets inside, except one, that suits for 15.6" notebook. Other three medium pockets are outside and it`s not very well, cause there are small things you want to put inside for more safety.
I like big zipper sliders and that they can be hidden under the material.
The backpack seems smaller, than i thought; it looks not very big (and i prefer it looks a little bigger, cause i`m a tall person). The straps are really narrow and small, not very comfortable to my mind. Also the shoulder straps by default make the backpack hanging too high, almost near neck.

I bought the Crossbody bag and the Backpack, both in Terra Cotta and I don't know which I like better. I love them both. They are beautifully made-I have not found a loose or crooked stitch in either bag. I have paid more for designer bags that weren't made this nice. In the picture you can see tags on the zippers, each one of these and one inside were carefully wrapped for shipping, which shows the attention to detail that is used. There is also a cloth bag that comes with the bag that is for storage. This is a great bag. The construction is good and folds up into a size you can place in your luggage for an extra bag to bring home extras or use as an over-nighter. I loved it and comes in great colors.

The case itself is made of a very nice material. The one thing I know I did not like was the "hidden handle" part. I bought this online at the beginning of the school year since I heard great reviews and t was pretty affordable.... Let me just say one thingThis backpack is BOSS! I received it in record time and I loved how it had a shipping thingy that let you track it :)I bought the 'Houndstooth' since it was one of the cheaper patterns and I couldn't be happier! The only thing that made me a bit sad was that the zippers were green rather than pink, as displayed in the picture. However, I have grown to love the color! The inside is somewhat of a circular floral pattern with pixel-looking blocks and smaller flowers here and there. The background is neon green to match the zippers, but the flowers are hot pink and orange, adding a nice pop of color to the otherwise plain pack.
Now onto the pockets (which display the same bright pattern described above)there are a total of 6, along with a few inner pockets within pockets (pocketception!) and a laptop sleeve inside. The top pocket is positioned at the little handle where the straps meet at the top. It is lined with a velvety kind of material and is meant for sunglasses, but who caries sunglasses to school really? I found that it is perfect to carry your phone, iPod, or other small personal items in. ( Ladies... ;] ) The next pocket is the main one on the front. it has 2 velvet-lined pockets in the middle for your devices, 3 pen/pencil holders, and a zipper pocket for materials. Seeing as I use the top pocket for my devices, I use the little inner pockets for my ID and whatnot...But those little guys work good for your phone as well!
The last pockets are the front pocket (a open slot in the front without a zipper, best used for pencils and other items you take out often), The two side pockets (One has a mesh little pop-out with a draw string to hold a water bottlesuper handy! The other does not have one, so it is great for snacks!) and the AMAZING insulated pocket! Oh my gosh, this thing rocks! It is lined with the same material used in lunch bags, and keeps food cold! However, I do not like the placement. Seeing as it is on the front, your sandwich may be squished or your soda may made your bag appear bulky and awkward. Still a pretty cool feature for a backpack, though.
A few other cool thingsThe straps have a memory-foam type stuff in themNo more sore shoulders! :) And this pack seems like it is made for women in mindNo more squished boobs! The straps are shaped so they don't go right across your chest. And lastly, this brand comes in a variety of stylish shapes and colors so you will be sure to find one that fits you just right!
A few other NOT so cool thingsThe bottom is rounded, which gives it a nice look, but it makes it hard to stand up straight and not fall over. :( The shape also makes it look a little...large. even when I only have a few spirals and a binder in it, the rounded shape makes it balloon out and make me look like a little turtle. Which is cute and all, but I wish the material was little less stiff so it wouldn't pop out or dent inwards when zipped shut.
It has a ton of pockets, adorable pattern on the inside, a nice shape, and durable build! I would totally recommend this to anyone who needs a bag that supplies comfort and storage space! Happy Shopping!!

I got this bag a few weeks ago, and it's fantastic. I get comments everywhere I go, but the main thing is that this bag is going to last a lifetime. I have a 13" MacBook Pro that I keep inside an "INCASE" pouch, and then put it inside the Vagabond. Fits like a glove. In fact, there's a model that's 14.5 inches tall that would be a tad too short. Get this one since it's the same price.Could not be happier. Beautiful and well built. I didn't oil mine or anything, and the stiffness is gone after just a couple of weeks of use. I would not hesitate to buy another item from VT. Excellent.

Rugged, not to large, just right for 2 week trips that require a daily carry sack with enough room to carry a days worth of stuff. the buckles are a bit to shiny but some rubbing can fix that. Three compartments are good for separating daily food and water from rain and mosquito gear and jacket stuff. Thick leather to withstand abuse.I wanted something that looked good but was not "pretty". This fits the bill.
