This was a great little backpack to have for a transition from a diaper bag. Now that my son is older, we don't need to carry around a diaper bag anymore. Clark & Mayfield Stafford Pro Leather Laptop Tote 15.6"

This bag arrived as described appearance-wise. It looks good in-person and really fits the purpose I bought it for. I work as a consultant and am visiting clients all the time, lugging my computer back and forth and setting up my "desk" in any free space or conference room I'm given. Because of this, I need to bring a lot of stuff with me (cords, mouse, mouse pad, notebooks, files, pens, snacks, extra clothes, cosmetics... etc) all the time.

Before finding this bag I was annoyed that most "business" bags for women charged top dollar and offered no functionality. It made it appear as though they really didn't take the needs of professional women seriously, rather only offering an additional fashion accessory big enough for a lap top. This bag is different and I would recommend it to anyone who asks.

I had been looking for a leather laptop tote and researched many before deciding on this one. It is very roomy for laptop, papers, Bose, cables and my personal things and has a strap to slip on my roll-aboard handle. It also goes over the shoulder easily. It looks very smart and professional. Update after 6 months of usage.

Fabric on bottom of case is wearing away from rolling thru airports... I put some black gaffer tape on it.

Wheels and handle are holding up well.

Fits on all of regional jet overheads.. Some need a good shove(Delta), but it does fit.

Update... 11 months in...

Zipper on the middle compartment has failed.. Wheels and handle in good shape..

Called the vendor, within 5 minutes I had a form in my inbox for a claim. Within 5 days I had a replacement bag.

All at no charge. Pretty easy, just emailed them the form with 2 photo's. 1 to show what failed, 1 to show the front of bag with logo.

For the money, you can't do better.

The design of this case is awesome. So many great compartments, smartly organized, useful. The problem with it is the stupid handle! I ordered one for my father-in-law. He loved it. The handle wouldn't full extend. So he exchanged it, and got one with a working handle. My mother-in-law loved the design, so she ordered one, then had the same handle problem. It's very frustrating. She sent it back and is looking for a different case just to avoid the handle issue, even though she really likes it. Now I want to find a rolling case and even though I do really like the design of this one, I hesitate to buy it, or any other by Case Logic. Please, fix it!

Stephen Joseph Boys 2-7 Boy's Quilted Backpack

Great looking and durable preschool back pack. Easy to wash! (Air dry to prevent fading it is cotton.) This bag is perfect for a young age child to hold his/her lunchbox. It is a little small to carry home artwork without folding which usually messes up their masterpieces. I would not recommend this for elementary school age children. It is too small for their needs and the bag's artwork is a little young for my elementary age child's taste. Both of my children carried these bags during preschool. My daughter had the pink and purple princess bag and my son had the airplane. They are super cute and even cuter on a three year old child's back!

This is a really lovely padded backpag. I would say that the straps are thin if you were going to carry heavy things in it, and it is also not superbig, but it holds my kid's school folder and is plenty of space for the first few grades of elementary school. I love the fact that it's not mainstream at all and looks classy, unlike all the Disney stuff out there.

This is a very comfortable bag!

I can fit my 15.6' laptop and my D-SLR camera in it with all the accessories for both!

I had few thoughts about this bag(which color to pick), I bought the Tanner Hall design

Rockland Melbourne 3 Piece ABS Luggage Set

I travel 2 weeks out of every month for work and needed some more durable luggage. I was concerned about getting hard case luggage because other brands/reviews indicated there was a smell to them upon purchase that wouldn't go away and got into your clothes. I was excited to find that when these arrived they had no strong odor. I let them air out anyway and they have been perfect for my needs lightweight and very durable. And the color means I don't get my luggage confused with anyone else's. :-)

I haven't had to use the medium or large one (only the carry on) but they appear to be just as great as the carry on. Also, what I didn't see in the item description that was an added bonus is that all 3 of them come with little locks.

All in all, a great purchase great price, fast delivery by the seller, nice bright color, durability, and exactly what I was looking for.

Overall I would have to say that this luggage is pretty good. It is quite sturdy, and it has held up pretty well, but we have only used it for 4 flights. It lacks a bit of structural stability, but the handles and wheels are very durrable. I would recommend this to future customers, but you have to make sure that you occupy the entire suitcase or there is a pretty good chance that over time the suitcase structural material will weaken as it is fairly thin. All in allif this would have been built a little bit better I think I would have given it 5 stars and it would probably last 10 or 15 years, but I dont expect it to last over 7 years with flying five or six times a year.

After having a lot of my stuff trashed on recent flights due to baggage handlers, I decided that I wanted hardside luggage. I have also been fortunate enough to have my luggage lost repeatedly, so I wanted something easy to identify. At the moment, there are not many people who fly with "orange" luggage, so identifying my missing bags is always easy. My last set was orange, and I don't think I could go back to anything less "high profile" with respect to appearance.

With that said, there are a couple of things to keep in mind with this set:

1) Hardside does not equal hard case. The components are likely vacuum formed, and are fairly thin (0.020"?). As such, they are not rigid, but do seem to maintain their shape. Still a far cry better than standard, soft sided luggage.

2) These are budget pieces, and some aspects of them feel cheap. For example, the extendable handle on the carry-on sized piece, is telescoping. When fully extended, the handle dos not feel very robust. Maybe this is because I like to push the suitcase in an upright position while walking though airports (doing so takes bearing the weight of the suitcase off of you and put it onto the wheels). In this mode of operation the handle deflects about an inch due to the plastic bushings in the telescoping pieces.

3) The casters seem to do quite well. They are smooth and quiet, and seem to roll over most surfaces easily. Short carpet provides some extra resistance, but it isn't too bad. Time will tell how they hold up.

4) The Set is advertised as "Super Lightweight", this is true. The suitcases are very light. I would be willing to forgo a little weight savings for the rigidity of a thicker shell. But, again, these are budget minded pieces. The advertising scheme is that with a lighter case, you can pack more of your belongings inside without risk of being "overweight" on the airlines' scales. I figure that the weight savings equate to an extra change of underwear and socks. So, I'm not sure this is a tremendous advantage, as much as it is a marketing ploy. Also, I have high enough frequent flyer status that I do not pay for baggage. So, for me this is a moot point.

Overall, these are decent pieces, but I expect that they will be worn out in 4 or 5 years. I fly a lot, so your mileage may vary...

Bought the purple set of this luggage last week, packed all three, and headed to Mexico the next day. We are impressed with the ease of movement and transition of the wheels from one direction to another while rolling through the airports. The lightweight but sturdy shells protected the contents well and held up nicely to the treatment they received being thrown in and out of the luggage carts and cargo holds without being overly heavy. It was great not having to pack a separate toiletry bag, because not only did all my clothes and shoes fit in the biggest case, but I did not have to worry about the tubes or bottles being damaged and leaking all over everything. As mentioned in previous reviews, the set was a bit smelly (like new plastic) when it arrived, but I left the cases open overnight after spraying some Febreze in them, and by morning, the odor was completely gone. The liner for the purple set is tan, and I like that one side is completely covered and secured by a zipper, while the opposite side, which has equal packing space, has only the elastic straps to hold items in place. We are very happy with this purchase and plan to buy another set.

We bought this in red for our 5 year old because it is his favorite color. Surprise! The inside is pink. We bought two other colors for family members purple and orange---these two colors have grey interiors. Fortunately my son did not mind the pink. Phew! Both my sons were able to maneuver the carry ons all by themselves with no problem through connecting flights. Plus, these colors stood out on the luggage carousel amount the black bags. I highly recommend bright and dIfferent color sets for individual family members. So far only two tough trips and luggage looks as good as new. Two other problems, don't use locks provided as not airline approved and they will get cut, very plastic smelling...before our 1st flight we opened them up in garage and aired them out for three days. Otherwise, luggage is a good value and most importantly our boys wheeled their own luggage with pride which saved mommy's back.

Le Donne Leather Multi Pocket Backpack

I love this purse because it is large, totally zippered with a flap over the top, main zipper and it is heavy duty. I carry a LOT of things and there are 5 separate sections. The straps seem secure, so far. (This is my 5th backpack purse from Amazon.) The others were nice but not as durable. I only ranked it a 4 because the main area has no divisions...with the exception of one small zippered pocket... so my things inside slide around and because the 5th section (that lays against your back) is smaller than I'd like...if I could put my 6.5 x 9.5 in planner in there, it would get a 5 star. I know, I know, if I went electronic with my planner, it might not be an issue :O)

I was worried about purchasing a purse online as I'm a bit rough on mine and am quite picky. I need a backpack style as I dislike carrying bags across my chest and hate it when they fall off my shoulder. The single pocket main body is the perfect size for carrying a tablet computer and/or ebook reader with plenty of space for the rest of your necessities. There are also 4 zippered pockets, 2 on the sides, one on the front and one on the back. The sides are great for sunglasses and cell phone. The one in front is excellent for a wallet. The leather is heavy and the straps are thick, wide and well sewn. All in all this purse is not fancy, but it is elegant, durable and useful. The only improvement I might suggest would be to include some credit card slots and a cash/coin pocket in the front pocket, but it isn't necessary to make me totally satisfied with my purchase. I would specifically recommend it to women who travel by plane as you can pack everything you need in-flight which means you don't have to dig into your carry-on during your trip. It's also perfect for women who have husbands who shop with them. Your man won't be embarrassed to be seen holding-the-bag.

UPDATE: 5/8/2013 and I'm still using and loving this purse! It fits everything I need to carry, but is small enough that I don't try to carry too much. The wide straps make it comfortable and I don't have to sorry about my purse falling off my shoulder when I'm carrying bags.

The North Face Router Backpack

Before the north face router daypack I used the north face surge (the old version) I have been a backpacker for many years and I have worked in designing combat gear for the army. This is my opinion on the router pack after a little more than a month of use.

The router backpack is nearly identical to the new surge backpack with the main difference being the increase in size, from around 30L to 40L. The materials that went into this backpack are excellent and the newer generation seems to be lighter and stronger than the previous. In particular I would like to mention the shoulder straps which are very comfortable and make bearing heavy loads (+20lbs) much more comfortable. The waist strap in my opinion is not really a useful feature, I never used it and in my old back pack the buckle caused the backpack to erode at the base.

The new top carrying strap is smaller, lighter and better located than in previous models as is the zipper design. By having a bi directional zipper that can be closed not directly at the top the bag ensures that the zipper won't open itself from the weight of the content of the bag. The bag is now equipped with a semi hard lining in the bag designed for back support. While it does do its job, this is not a hiking pack. It will no supply the support if you place heavy hard irregular shaped object close to the back of the bag. The tablet pouch is very nice, I would prefer a more elastic material that could accommodate an ipad with a case, but for me that wasn't a make or break feature anyway. What is a make or break feature however is the loss of the second side (bottle) pocket. In the older models this pocket was a dual layer fabric which could be accessed one from the top and one from the side. A beautiful innovation. The new pocket is a single and only on one side of the bag. On the other side is a pouch designed for a laptop charger or other small items. In older north face bags this was located in a zippered pocket under the bottom of the bag, thus keeping both side pockets. The side pockets are important because usually I used one for a water bottle and one for an umbrella when it was raining. If your water bottle is narrow enough you can have both on one side but this also takes away from the ability to balance the load of the bag equally across both shoulders. A good feature of the Router bag is the abundance of small zippered pockets, different from the older model but whether you like it or not is just a matter of taste. I do. A new innovation of the bag is a tapered bottom. This is designed to bring the weight closer to your back which it does well but it has a downside in that the bag can no longer be balanced standing up. Its default position is face down, which is very annoying if you want to access your things/ keep it clean

Lastly I would like to address the size of the bag a major issue. The bag is very big, but the extra size isn't necessarily an advantage for school. I needed the extra space for textbooks, but the way the bag is designed, all the extra volume comes from having a taller/deeper compartment. This means that having books lined next to each other results in the same carrying capacity with more space on the top. Placing books on top of each other like that will likely result in damaging of the books. The added depth makes the bag seem useful for trekking or as an overnight pack, but when you take into account the flimsy back panel and lack of hydration pouch, it is really only ideal for an overnight bag or for traveling. It is my opinion that you should buy this bag for that and try the surge (which is significantly cheaper) if you want to use it for school/college.

Ful Hybrid Rolling Duffel Bag

I had never seen a bag like this one until I encountered it several weeks ago at Target. I was immediately struck by the utter practicality of the design. The bottom is like half a hardshell suitcase, and it protects business clothes and prevents them from being smashed flat and creased. The top is like a normal duffel into which you can dump a ton of stuff. I have already traveled around the world with it on a trip that required a diverse wardrobe and gear selection and found it to be almost ideal in terms of overall design. I actually have no improvements to suggest, beyond a slightly larger external side pocket.

It is relatively lightweight for its size, so the ultimate durability is yet to be determined. But I have seen no reason to suspect I won't get a few good years out of it, which is all I ask of a fairly cheap bag that gets used hard. But I will come back and deduct stars if it self destructs after three trips.

The Ful Hybrid was bigger than other 30 inchers in terms of width, depth and capacity. I wanted the 2nd big compartment and got it. But the big thing is, it's tough; much more durable than others of lower price, but shorter durability. I'll take it.

This is simply an initial quality review of the Ful Hybrid rolling duffel. I really don't believe in doing legit reviews until I've actually had the chance to use the product, but since this product's use will span five weeks this summer, I'll do a followup on quality, etc. after.

My initial impressions are very positive. I ordered these primarily to use in international travel. I work with orphans and conduct documentary film/photography work in various places around the world. My travels take across a major ocean every year and I need a bag that can take the abuse. I need it to protect what camera gear I do travel in a checked bag (tripod, glidecam, light stands, umbrellas, and or softboxes) from the bumps of life of course this won't prevent theft. I also need it to carry my teaching materials (usually for English work, etc.) in addition to my clothing and personal items. My other bags made it to Australia, Turkey, Ukraine and Africa. And I will be trying THESE out on BOTH a two week trip to Ukraine and a 2.5 week trip to Africa this summer. I'll readdress my review after I have some real-world experience with them, but here are some initial thoughts and I've posted some images.

Surprisingly, the rolling duffels I purchased at Wally World several years ago held up better than I expected, but are now coming unstitched, zippers are missing their tabs and the fabric is rubbing thin not that it was ever superb.

I picked these up because they match my previous bags in length at 30 inches.

The handle is solid when extended, though not very long which will likely CONTRIBUTE to a longer life. This is not to say it's short, rather, it's not as long as SOME luggage handles, especially with tiered, interconnected rods, that are week. The fabric feels very durable compared to most and the harder, somewhat reinforced insert in the wall of the lower pocket appears to provide a solid base when sitting upright. The problem with most duffels is that they mold to the packed items, often creating a rounded base. This makes them virtually impossible to stand upright without holding onto them because they have a tendency to obey gravity all too well.

The end pockets are a very good size as is the center compartment. The diagonal zipper you see on the main product image opens into a very small pocket (see my pics). This sort of seems pointless to me as it won't hold much, but I guess if you wanna tuck something in there for quick access in the airport or whatnot it would work, but unless I was car traveling with it, I don't think I'd LEAVE anything in there.

One thing to note that's hard to tell in the product images is that the material that divides the upper bag from the lower shelled area has a see-through mesh center and actually unzips to offer through access. This can be viewed two ways.

1. The combo of zipper and mesh can weaken this divider layer causing rips or too much give over time thus rendering a two compartment duffel pointless.

2. It can provide you access to items in the lower area without having to flip the bulk of the load over to open the base. Imagine trying to open your suitcase with the bottom side up! You're tossing the bulk of your packed load up and away! This can help reduce that. In addition, if you WANTED a big single chamber, you can have that.

The former could present a problem, while the later could prove an outstanding quality. Only time will tell.

These are a few lbs heavier than my previous duffels, but the protective base and added fabric heft are a welcome addition. I think they are 7ish lbs each vs. my previous at around 5ish lbs each. I purchased two of them in the RED.

I ordered one and paid for the PRIME overnight so I could examine it before deciding if the quality was right for me. Once I decided to go with another one, I just had it come standard 2-day. It arrive the next day. One simply CANNOT complain about Amazon's shipping or service. It's outstanding.

BUYER CAUTION NOTE: when selecting colors, the top color which at this time is black appears to be the best value, HOWEVER, note that it actually comes up as a 28 inch version, not the 30 inch! Amazon needs to fix that. I almost ordered the wrong size! It won't APPEAR different at first, but add the black one to your cart and then click on the cart and you'll see it labeled as 28 inches.

High Sierra 1800-Cubic Inches Opie Daypack

I bought this backpack to walk around my college campus. I've used a messenger bag for a long time, but it finally got to my right shoulder, and I decided it would be smart to wear a backpack again. It does its job, and it is very well priced. However, you can tell why it is priced the way it is. The material does not feel quite as nice and sturdy as other backpacks I have owned, and after less than a month of use, I have found that the material on the arm loops will occasionally scratch my wrist when I take it off. Not a big complaint, it just means I have to be careful, or maybe loosen the straps before taking it off. Overall the compartments are nice, but I wish there were more interior pockets to actually organize stuff. I end up throwing everything that's small in the very front pocket, and it takes a few moments to find what I need. One of the big selling points was that I knew I wouldn't be lugging a TON of stuff around, and I didn't want a loose and floppy giant bag with two notebooks in it. This bag could hold maybe three THICK books or two notebooks and a textbook as I have. It's not stuffed, but there isn't much extra room. Perfect size. Also, a little ingenious thing I love is the pencil holder in the left arm loop. It's very useful for one of my field classes. Overall, I wish the arm loop material was softer and there were more compartments, but it's a very good bag.

It's the perfect size to fit in textbooks that are quite heavy and still have room for other paper works. The number of zippers and pockets this backpack has is perfect. I really, really like this backpack, and the colors are perfect as well.

I looked around quite a bit for a backpack that would fit my 7 year old. This one works perfectly. Big enough for full size school books and folders, but not so large that it overpowers him. Good quality and it has held up well so far after 6 months of kid abuse.
