The case got here really fast and in perfect condition. It fits my lap top perfectly!. However the only draw back it has is when you want to carry it with the handles you can't zip the top completely. There's a small opening. However to me, this is no big deal. I was just happy to find a case that fit. It is very cushioned so it protects the computer beautifully. I am very happy with my purchase and if this company had more designs in this size, I would get more cases. Whatever mood I'm in that day, I could switch them up. The skull and crossbones is awesome! Travelon Search Alert Locks
Love this little lock, the code is handy as sometimes the key no longer fits the lock .The last time I traveled with a TSA approved lock with a key it looks like an attempt had been made to open the lock with the wrong key because when I did try to open it myself when I had reached my hotel in Europe my key no longer opened the padlock,I made sure it did before I left so had to arrange for the hotel handyman to cut the lock off. The new lock I had to buy was also cut off by the airport security I presume as they were not TSA approved lock as these are not available in Europe for as far as I know.

My 9 year old daughter's school mates liked it.It is different not something you can find in the stores.The price was good but when you add shipping it is not so much a bargain anymore. I went through a bunch of bags before I arrived at this one. I wanted a simple and small to med size black (work friendly) backpack with a side pocket for water, organizer, and preferably a pocket for a tablet in addition to a laptop pocket. This one covers all bases. The backpack is very well made and appears to be using a water resistant (unconfirmed) nylon. It has tricot lined pockets for both a laptop (up to 15") and a tablet. There is also a small lined pocket on the side for a phone or music player, but it seems kinda useless being so small. The backpack is perfect size, not huge where it would be uncomfortable on the train, but large enough to fit all my stuff and then some. It also doesn't have a lot of those annoying features most backpacks seem to come with these days. Things like sternum straps, insanely padded back, and other useless straps all around. This backpack is listed at 18L capacity, which is not mentioned anywhere for some reason.

My 1 year old loves her froggie backpack. It's cute and just the right size for her. Unfortunately the handle doesn't stay in the open position so it's constantly sliding closed when she tries to carry it along with her. High Sierra Express Lumbar Pack
I own this, the Envoy, and the Passport.Based on the review citing BPA I called the manufacturer. They switched to a bottle with no BPA over a year ago so that is no longer a concern. The bottle and the package now indicate this.
Just the main compartment can hold a compact umbrella, wallet, cell phone, and key case with room to spare. The smaller front compartment alone is big enough to hold a wallet, cell phone, and keys with room to spare. A lot of capacity.
The pack seems very well made. Easy opening/closing zippers, sturdy material, comfortable backs, a loop on the bottom to which you can fasten something.
The Express (this unit) feels less massive than the Envoy when wearing it. The Envoy has more capacity but no water bottle holders. Effectively, if you need to carry a water bottle this Express may have more usable space than the Envoy since the Express has two very spacious top-opening compartments with a pocket in the larger one. These are in addition to the two water bottle holders.
If you want greater capacity and do not need to carry a water bottle consider the High Sierra Envoy. High Sierra Envoy Lumbar Pack
If you want a comfortable although small unit just to carry for example a wallet, cell phone, and keys then consider the Passport. High Sierra Passport Lumbar Pack.
As it was, choosing this particular pack was almost torturous as you don't get a clear idea of what it can hold. And so I kept vacillating between a few High Sierra products -this one, the Diplomat (which seemed too high and narrow), the Ridgeline (maybe to large?), and the Envoy and Passport (both of which didn't have bottle pockets). But in the end, this product seemed like the best choice.
The primary motivation for getting a lumbar pack is that I needed a mini diaper bag, something I could bring to museums, etc., with the kids and have full function of my arms and hands. Fanny packs didn't fit the bill because I don't want something bulky in the front as it gets in the way. Backpacks are size-overkill and make for sweaty backs in the summer.
That said, it's a nice pack with 2 pockets (one large, one small). For me, one holds a travel size baby wipe case, a few diapers and cream; the other, car keys, camera or flip, sunglasses. Not much more could fit maybe other slim electronic devices like a phone and iPod, but since there are only 2 pockets one has to consider what's going to be scraping against what.
The mesh bottle holders are nice -they are each designed with a stretchy loop that holds the bottle snug so it doesn't fall out. That's good but it also means that blindly reaching behind to reinsert a bottle is a finger-fumbling act. Maybe I'm lame, but I have to rotate the pack to the front to place the bottles back. The holders hold most any 16-20oz bottle: bottled h2o, soda, arizona iced tea, etc.. The included bottle is useless to me as it contains BPA -sort of idiotic given the chemical's bad press.
Lastly, if you need to access your stuff *often*, get a fanny pack -reaching behind or rotating constantly isn't convenient, especially if you have a camera in there.
Overall a well-made, comfortable, and useful product. Would recommend.

A great entry-level pack, very practical and well suited for the casual/day hiker and/or anyone who doesn't want to spend $50-60 or more on a pack from a "fancier" equipper. The pack is well constructed and carries plenty of water. The central cargo container is modest -it's not going to work as a diaper bag -but if you're looking for a pack that optimizes H2O capacity (has pockets for two water bottles) without being a huge monster, the High Sierra Express is a good choice. For a slim profile, buy a second 500mL water bottle. Or if you need to reduce bulk in your luggage, leave the included 500mL bottle at home -the Express' twin pockets will easily carry two 1-liter bottled waters from any convenience store at your destination with only a small change to the balance of the pack on your body. (A 1L bottle is taller than the included 500mL bottle, of course, but the pockets are still deep enough to hold it securely.)The High Sierra Express is comfortable to wear, not too heavy, and is narrow enough for even the most slender of users. The belt, adjustable from 18" to 55", is ordinary webbing, not padded -slightly less luxurious for long-term wear but also less bulky.
The High Sierra Express offers a great balance of overall size/bulk, water capacity, cargo capacity, comfort, and price! When I need to replace my second, older Outdoor Equipment lumbar pack, I plan to buy another High Sierra Express. :-)

I bought this for half day hikes into Big Cypress Forest Preserve in South Florida. The belt is strong enough to hold three lens pouches for relatively heavy zoom lenses. The pack is big enough for a tighly rolled poncho, bug repellant, snake bit kit, compass, mirror, whistle, matches, utility knife, cell phone, notepad, pen, lens cleaner and lens paper, bandana, and a pound of trail mix. The side pockets easily hold two bottles for water. It does get heavy, especially with the lenses so I use workshop suspenders to take some of the load off of my hips. This is a nice alternative to a camera vest which can be pretty hot to wear; and a lot easier to use than a back pack. And it is very well made.Want High Sierra Express Lumbar Pack Discount?
I like the size of the compartments very roomy. the back compartment can fit a small paperback and the front compartment is good for keys, phone, etc. The fit is good with the adjustable straps. it is a comfortable, well-made product.

Before I submitted my order I compared 4-5 different products. I had very strict requirements on what my bag should respond to. I was definitely looking rucksack with side and top handle as it helps to travel in airfields but also when traveling by helicopters. Side handle equally disperses the weight of the bag if you have to move fast and have to crab your gear. It must have compartment for CamelBak and there is well covered holes for drinking tube just in the middle of the top edge and both sides of the top handle. The back of the bag must have supporting pad for my lower back but good to have upper pads also because this way it leaves air between and prevents sweating in long walks. Bag has ergonomic and adjustable shoulder and wrist belt with couple fastenings. Bag has enough capacity which is spread among different compartments with different size. In the middle you will have room for clothes and bigger items and in front and side you will have smaller sections for smaller items. First panel has sector for smaller items inside with different sections. One good thing is that it has molle system in front just in case if I will need any additional pocket. It has little strengthened holes in bottom to leave possible water out and air in. Seams are doubled and there are couple more good topics. I`am very happy and confident with this rucksack.

its a great case protects against water but the strapes to carry it are on the inside so if you want ot carry it you have to leave the top open and i havent tried it because in scared to drop my laptop like that but i carry mine in my bookbag and i keep the strapes inside anyways but if you want to carry by the handles dont get this bag.

The Ivar backpack could not fit all that my daughter usually carries for highschool: 2-3 books, 2-3 notebooks, and a 3 ring binder, in addition to her pencil case and calculator. Just her binder and books alone made the backpack difficult to zip closed. I wanted this backpack to work for her, but unfortunately, it did not.

The back broke off easily and so it is useless, I will never again buy expensive bookbags. I will buy regular priced school bags for my son. It is made of a strong thick plastic and has lining on the inside but the loops are not sewn on well and are really flimsy and weak. High Sierra 21 Wheeled Carry-On w/Compu-Sleeve
I first received this bag 5 years ago from my company and I love it so much I hunted and found it again! I travel almost every week and I love a bag that can handle a 3 day trip with no problem. This bag is sturdy I have had the best TUMI and other bags not stand up like this bag week after week on the road.And add the backpack straps if you need them to get the perfect travel bag!
I also don't really like the zipper operation as it relates to the "book style" opening. It is difficult at time to get the zipper around the internal frame at the bottom of the unit. But with a little exercise in patience (which is a good lesson for me anyway) it really isn't THAT difficult! I was going to send the unit back but as many other options are far more expensive I decided in the end to keep it.
The book style opening does allow for easier packing than my old one which is a plus. This pack does fit with ease in the smaller overhead compartments of many of Alaska Airlines older jets (747-400). This pack is often all I take with me on trips and it handles what I need well. When I do bring additional luggage the shoulder straps are very convenient!
