Baggallini Luggage Enchant Satin Quilted Backpack

Baggallini Luggage Enchant Satin Quilted Backpack, Black, One SizeI purchased the brown bag with pink lining. The bag is very well made. The stitching is solid and I think it will last a long time. It has plenty of room for all my devices. The tablet pocket has more than enough space for my Samsung Note 10.1 tablet. If anything, I think the tablet pocket has too much space. The length and depth were perfect fits, but the pocket is also about an 1 2 inches wide. I would prefer if it were like a sleeve with a more snug fit. That would also create a little more room in the main compartment, something that I think would benefit the design.

There are three zippered pockets; two exterior and one interior. On the exterior, there is a small zippered pocket on the front and a larger one on the back. The small one is good for things like cash and anything you need to access quickly; it is even accessible when the flap is closed. The inside zippered pocket is pretty large, it's almost big enough for a tablet itself. I keep my Kindle Paperwhite in there with its cover on and there is still room for more stuff, if I wanted.

In the main compartment, there are also two open pockets and two pen pockets. I have a huge phone (a Samsung Note II) and there is plenty of room in the open pockets for it and it's case.

The bag can be worn as a small backpack, but I am only interested in using it as a cross-body bag. It works perfectly for this.

I took off one star for style. The thing I don't like about the bag is that it is very boxy. It is also much taller than it really needs to be, which adds to the boxiness. The other issue I have with it is an oddly placed strap. When you open the flap, there is a nylon strap over the main zipper. I can't figure out what its intended purpose is. It doesn't seem to do anything but get in the way. If you tuck the flap under it, I suppose you could use it as a carrying strap, but I don't know why you would want to?

Overall, I am happy with this product. I wanted something that could easily fit my tablet, phone and Kindle, without looking masculine, and this serves that purpose.

This is a very attractive bag with loads of compartments and zippered pockets. Comfortable as an over the shoulder or across the body bag, not comfortable at all as a back pack which is how I wanted to use it. Can't give it a better rating because of the uncomfortable back pack option.

I like the backpack because it is sturdy and dressy, I just have to figure out how to keep the straps from sliding unevenly.

for a shorter person like me, finding a backpack that can hold a worthy amount and not be hitting me in the small of my back..this is perfect. the straps also work well for cross body and backpack style with infinite adjustments.

I got this to replace a large leather purse I have been carrying for a while. Back issues made it necessary to switch to something I didn't have to carry on one shoulder. I like the fabric, and the size, of the Baggallini Enchant Satin Backpack. It's not quite large enough for files and folders, but it is lightweight and can be used as a backpack or a cross-body bag. The biggest problem with it is the way the straps are hung it is a bit difficult to put on as a backpack, but just fine as a cross-body bag.

Aqua-Quest 'The Stylin' Waterproof Backpack Dry Bag - 30 L / 1800 cu. in. Red Model

Aqua-Quest 'The Stylin' Waterproof Backpack Dry Bag - 30 L / 1800 cu. in. Red ModelI was truly impressed with the excellent quality both in materials and workmanship of this waterproof dry bag. I am a kayaker and I also commute to my job everyday in all kinds of weather. This pack is built strong and dry and keeps my gear in perfectly dry condition even in strong downpours.

The pack is great looking too, very nicely designed with plenty of pockets for small items. Fast shipping was really nice as well!

I definitely recommend this product and the company, both are outstanding!

Osprey Talon 33-Litre Backpack

Osprey Talon 33-Litre BackpackThis bag may be one of the best investments I have ever made! I use it for everything. It was originally purchased three years ago as a day pack for our hike of the Inca Trail in Peru. I did a lot of research and determined that this would be the best solution. We needed a pack large enough to carry gear for the day and any type of weather. We were not carrying tents or sleeping bags, so we needed a bit less space. My husband was so impressed when it arrived, that he purchased the exact same bag in a large. Since it's first successful outing, this bag has been our go-to bag for any and all trips. We've taken it on airplane flights stuffed full of our daughter's blankets, toys and DVD player with enough room for our books and light sweaters. It's gone on car trips packed with clothes and toys. It's gone on day hikes and picnics with food and blankets. It went to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro stuffed with 3 liters of water, jackets, rain gear, snacks etc. It is a roomy size for a daypack and large enough for a weekend overnighter. The pull tabs are nice as they have rings you can grab even with thick gloves on. The storage pocket on top is great for keys, passports and other items you need in a hurry. The front pocket holds travel folders, books, snacks and sweaters with ease. The drink pockets on the side, like most packs, are useless for water bottles if you are hiking. They fit in, but are difficult to squeeze in if you have the straps down tight and require you to take off your pack to get them back in. They are great for an extra water bottle (as camelbak backup) or for storing snacks, Goo shots, pocket translators, etc. The hip belt is comfy and has never dug uncomfortably into my hip bones. If you tighten the chest strap too tight, it pulls the top straps a bit too close and can rub your clavicals, but keep it loose enough and it is fine. The two hip pockets are super convenient for chapstick, money, candy, etc and are suprisingly large. The load straps are easy to adjust and keep loads (light and heavy) well balanced. It hugs my back and stays put, but also has a very nice air gap that prevents too much sweat. I recommend this bag to anyone and everyone you will not be disappointed!

(Scotland-Italy-Switzerland-Germany-Turkey) Everything fits, so long as you can do laundry a couple of times.

I love this backpack so much. I am 5'6" and I got the S/M size. It's super tough and you won't believe how much stuff you can cram into it. I had to have dressy clothes for conferences, something warm for cool nights in Scotland, and everything in between. I only took a pair of birkenstock gizeh sandals and a foldable pair of flats + tiny shower sandals for shoes, to be fair (I mostly wore the birks and the latter two didn't really take up room). I also loved that for hiking and day trips, I could empty everything into a big shopping bag wherever I was staying and use this as a daypack. Super comfy and I still use it all the time now that I'm back at work/school.

I am only 5' and finding a backpack that fits is not an easy task. This one is perfect and it is a beautiful shade of PURPLE! Yahoo! We are doing a awesome hike between camps in the Sierras this summer, so I needed something that was bigger than my regular "go out and hike for the day" pack, but do not need to carry a tent and sleeping bag. I love the little zippered pouches in the hip belt they are perfect for my chapstick, sport beans, Aleve, etc.! Oh, and did I mention it is PURPLE!

The Talon sales pitch was centered around its versatility, which is what initially drew me in. And let me say, it definitely delivers on that front. Basically this is a hybrid between a day pack and a full backpacking rig. The compromise was reached by removing a dedicated space for a tend and sleeping bag, so that means it's probably not suited for extended camping trips unless you're into building your own shelter, but if you're doing something like backpacking Europe and will be staying in hostels, it's absolutely ideal.

Experienced hikers who know how to pack efficiently can still get by though, since the excess of external straps means it can actually fit substantially more gear than its cubic inch count indicates. If you want to go all-out you can really cram a lot in/on it, but if you want to do a casual day hike it's small and light enough that it doesn't feel awkward when only partially full. No need to bring an extra day pack.

One of my favorite parts is the four front pockets: one small elastic one on each shoulder strap, and one medium-sized zip-up one on each hip strap. This allows you to carry quite a few frequently-used items (e.g. phone, flashlight, swiss army knife or small snacks) while on the go.

If you're planning on anything over a 50-miler through the Cascades, this won't replace a full-sized external frame unless your a hardcore pro. For anything else though and I mean pretty much anything this gets the job done.

It's [obviously] smaller than my 44L talon. It fits just the right amount of gear for a 1-2 night trip and weighs just 2 lbs. Sadly it isn't big enough for a week long trip. Yet. Maybe I'll trim down some other gear.

Nautica Luggage Charter Classic 3 Piece Set

Nautica Luggage Charter 3 Piece Set, Black/Grey, One SizeEverything came as advertised. Great material and more than enough space to accomodate pretty much any journey.Carry on bag is perfect size.

First things first: I'm happy with this set of luggage they look pretty and definitively I recommend it for travelers. They are light weight luggage and very durable. Beyond that they have great space and large pockets, and the colors are very distinguishing.

I ordered this luggage for myself but my son fell in love with them the moment I unpacked them from the box. They are in a beautiful Navy/Red and much better than anything someone can find here in stores – actually there is nothing to compare with in Europe (I live in Belgium). The picture doesn't tell how beautifully they are. All three pieces have side handles and the fabric (100% polyester) appears to be very durable. So far I and my son could not be happier with the appearance and features.

Buy the way the price is worth even very lower than expected however it cannot be taken seriously the original price of $1140.

Traveler's Choice Sedona 29 in. Hardside Spinner

Traveler's Choice Sedona 29 in. Hardside SpinnerAfter frustrating experiences with regular cloth luggage that doesn't last more than 4 trips I decided to try hardside luggage. As far as I know, this is the best deal (and prices keep dropping) in large double-wheeled hardside spinners. And this thing is huge. At 61.5 linear inches it's at the limit of what airlines let you use. It looks also bulky and bulgy because from the outside at least it appears to have a separate compartment for the handle. But unfortunately that is not the case. You still have the rails in the way inside. Otherwise the inside is nicely padded and covered and has lots of functional items, including a zippered bag along the joint. On the outside everything is solid and well made, the wheels, the handles, the TSA lock.

One has to get used to the oyster-type design and learn to pack differently. Rather than just filling up one side and close it, one has to pack the two halves separately. With this type of design, it's the zipper that suffers mostall the strain is put on the zipper when you lift and pull the bag. When lifted, one half will drop below the one that is being held. And I'm not convinced this zipper is tough enough for the job. Especially when you see how baggage handlers handle luggage yanking it from underneath a pile of bags. One also has to get used to the flexibility of polycarbonate. You can put so much stuff in this luggage that while you can quickly reach the airline weight limit, volume-wise you'd be challenged to fill these up and that's without expanding them. And at a certain point, this luggage literally bottoms out as the polycarbonate flexes. Similarly, when you grab and pull it from the top or side handle, that surface will also bend quite a bit.

After an international trip with a change of planes, it survived things well, a bit scratched but otherwise intact. I guess at this price one shouldn't really complain. And I don't have any complaints, but I wouldn't mind seeing an additional handle at the bottom, which is very useful. As well as some additional material at the corners to protect it from bumps at those airports that drop your luggage onto the carousel from another floor. I'd rather see someone design hardside luggage where the two halves interlock or overlap in some way and it's not up to zippers and the thin zipper cloth to hold 50+ pounds together. But until then perhaps a heavy duty zipper would give one more confidence.

If you're looking for an affordable, large, solid hardside spinner with lots of features, this is a great if not the best choice.

Well built and incredibly light even when packed. Already used for an international trip and it held up really well. Lots of room inside and no problem checking it with the airlines. Very impressed with both the quality and the price.

Love this suitcase. Took it on a trip out west and made it through the airport handling with just a few scuff marks. I was able to clean them off with a rag when I got home. The suitcase was easy to pack and the clothes didn't seem to shift around as much as when I have used the soft sided luggage in the past.

Disney - Mickey Mouse 12" Toddler Backpack - Hide and Seek with Goofy

Disney - Mickey Mouse 12' Toddler Backpack - Hide and Seek with GoofyI purchased this backpack for my 2 year old son to carry his own things (snacks, toys, diapers) on a flight. The bag is super cute (especially since my son loves Mickey/Goofy and we are going to Disney). I think the bag is the perfect size. We can fit his coloring books in there (along with quite a few other toys/books/snacks/diapers) but it is still small enough for him to carry. He is big for his age so smaller 2 year old would probably have a problem with the size. I love the pockets. The two side pockets were perfect for his sippy cup and his crayons. The pocket on the front is big enough for me to store a couple of diapers and wipes.

my child loves this bag. no problems with the quality. and he wont leave home without it. i would definitely recommend to any parent with a child who loves mickey.

Disney Princess and the Frog - Evening Star Large 15" Backpack with Tiana and Prince Naveen

Disney Princess and the Frog - Evening Star Large 15' Backpack with Tiana and Prince Naveenthis is a large size backpack. Great big picture. The birthday girl loved it. The quality is great. And i would always buy it again.

so this was not a $50 backpack and it doesn't look or feel like one, and that is ok. Our kids don't like things like this for long enough to spend any more than this & it serves the purpose just fine. It's a little large for a kindergartner, but it does fit all she needs. Also, by the time she outgrows her love of this backpack, it will be falling apart and time to replace with another one. I wish she would want a cool northface backpack or something, but she just wants princess, princess, princess. For some things, you just have to cave.

Gregory Mountain Products Palisade 80 Backpack

Gregory Mountain Products Palisade 80 Backpack, Iron Gray, LargeThis pack is absolutely wonderful. It has space, tons of access points and is the most comfortable pack I have ever worn. There are a ton of adjustments to make the fit perfect. 80L capacity is big enough for a weeks worth of gear without becoming too bulky of a pack. If you are looking into becoming a serious packer (or if you already are) then this is the pack for you! WELL worth the money (and i know it is a lot)...Sometimes you simply pay for a name, but with this pack, you are paying for the highest quality and comfort. Read other reviews and check out other online sources...they all agree. Anyway...that is my two cents worth.

I bought this pack as my last pack to hike with my last child. At 54 with 3 herniated discs I needed a pack made to fit the body correctly to eliminate undue strain or torque to the muscles and vertebrae of the back. I went to REI where the guy there told me this was the pack for me, he too has back issues. I wore it around the store for 30 minutes with 40 pounds in it and had no pain or strain. There is a Utube video on how to fit it properly and a video on the company website on how to fit this pack. So I tried to get a medium pack with large straps from REI and that failed miserably (REI is just not set up to do special orders in less time than weeks)so I ended up ordering it from Amazon at $140 less no tax and free two day shipping. I then called the company, Gregory Mountain Products who sent me the retrofit straps (my torso fit a medium pack but my gutso needed large straps) for free on the promise I return the old ones. I got the straps, retrofitted the pack and then went hiking with the Boy Scouts in the Grand Canyon on a 10 mile hike to Havasupai that includes a 2400 foot elevation gain in two miles and had absolutely no back problems. I wish I had a car that was this good. This pack fits so well and moves with you you do not feel the weight at all. It so perfectly aligns the weight on your hips, has a waist strap that allows for adjustment to fit your shape so it stays over your hips and articulates to allow for natural hip movement. It has comfortable strapping, all the room you need for your gear for two days to ten days (its 80L capacity) and extra room for common gear to support a group. It is more money than other similar sized packs without the belting/harness system but once you go Gregory you will never go cheap for the backpack again. In a word the pack and the company Rocks. this pack gave me the freedom to go into the backcountry like I did when I was a kid and enjoy it. You go Gregory Mountain Products!!!!!

I purchased the Palisade 80L pack in March of 2012 and I have since used it backpacking in Arizona, on a cycling trip through Ireland, hiking in Scotland, and the Camino de Santiago in Spain. This pack has proven itself time and time again for it's reliability, comfort, and durability. I originally purchased this pack for its ability to carry heavy weight without too much strain on the body. I am 5' 10", 160 lbs with a damaged shoulder and I can carry an easy 50+ lbs without any issues. Most of my trips have been loaded with 25-30 lbs plus a grocery bag of food.

One thing to consider is that it is not waterproof and a rain cover should be used. Through a series of unfortunate events, my pack ended up in the Atlantic on the Irish Coast. I was able to remove the aluminum supports and drop it off at a cleaner, good as new.

I was worried about the pack being too large or too heavy but the good news is, if you need the space, you have it! If you don't, empty space never hurt anyone. I would highly recommend this pack and I look forward to many more years of use.

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It Folder 15

Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It Folder 15, Pacific BlueI have just returned from a 3 week tour of Germany, Switzerland, Italy, London, and New York City. One suitcase, with two Eagle Creek Pack-it folder 15's and one 20. The 20 was great for pants, and some nice Kuhl wool sweaters for layering. Dress shirts and crew necks went in one of the 15's and base layers went in another. Total bag weight was just 35 pounds. Socks and underwear went in a pair of Eagle Creek half cubes. It was so nice, everything stayed neat and organized, the shirts and pants did not wrinkle. As we moved about from day to day it was so easy to pack up the suitcase by stacking in the folders. When we arrived at a new place I could just pull the folders out and lay them on the extra bed or a table and it was easy to find everything I needed to get dressed the next day.

This is the first time I've tried using this system, and it is so much better than just dumping everything in your suitcase you can't imagine. If you have a big trip coming up, do yourself a favor and get your suitcase organized with this gear.

Just tried out the Pack-it 15.

Most of the reviews I've read speak of sweaters and men's dress shirts which is great but I wear more dresses than shirts so I thought I'd post my observations. The 15 is meant for 7 shirts. I didn't want to put 7 dresses in the pack since they tend to take up more room.. they are longer than shirts!

I was able to pack 2 mid-length dresses, 1 short dress, 2 blouses and 1 thick cardigan in a pack with room to spare. The stack of clothes folded in a pile (pre-compression) was 4 inches tall. Once I strapped the pack down with the Velcro straps the tallest part of the pack (middle was thinner than ends due to Velcro being down the middle) was just under 2.5 inch.

I left the pack sitting in my room for a full day and when I unpacked the top dress had small creases on the sides where it over lapped but very minor. The rest of the stack including my silk blouse were immaculate.

Its good to note that my short dress measured 35 inches long and the skirt portion had to be folded over. So if you are intending to use these for dresses like myself, i would suggest getting the 18 Pack-it just for a bit more room (and less folding over).

Not to bad for my first trial. Real test will be in a few days.

We did carry-ons to Europe on a trip to visit several cities in 14 days. We loved these envelopes, easy to pull out of the suitcase when looking for other items, keeps things folded and tidy. Tipuse the hard plastic folding guide card as a "shelf" in the center of the packed envelope, makes it easier to find something without accidentally unfolding other items. On motorcycle trips, we love the Eagle Creek compression bags, but they aren't good for non-knits because of the wrinkle factor the envelopes kept the clothes in better condition for least amount of touch-up. Tip take along a small empty spray bottle. Spritz your tops and bottoms the night before you wear them and hang up this gets out any small packing wrinkles I hate ironing!! On this trip, we used the compression bag for the dirty clothes, so they take up the least amount of space (don't put your underwire bras in these). We also used the Eagle Creek cubes for packing smaller items, underwear, socks, other small knits, etc.

I went on a suitcase organizing spree and bought this folder as well as other gadgets on the same order. When I received the packages I though "I over did this, there's no need for all of this!" But as I started using them all I realized that the do come in handy.

The folder is my favorite since it keeps shirts neatly arranged and the wrinkles are minimal. The size will hold about 5 shirts without an issue. You could hold more but I think wrinkles will appear then.

The construction is of great quality and the handle is very convenient as is the hard plastic folding "device" which is nothing more than a plastic rectangle with some instructions printed on it, but that is all that's needed to neatly fold shirts.

This folder plus a couple of the packing cubes, a shoe sac and a compression bag for dirty laundry are my basic organizing kit. The folder is the most ingenious solution of all of them, but you do need the other ones as well. And yes, once you have them, you'll realize, as I did, that you DO need them.

Want Eagle Creek Travel Gear Pack-It Folder 15 Discount?

I've used Eagle Creek Pack it folders in the past and they are very good. I'd suggest the next larger size. This one is a bit small holds only a few shirts. Put too many in and they'll have creases.

Samsonite Leather Flapover Briefcase

Samsonite Leather Flapover BriefcaseI bought this to replace a Samsonite briefcase that I thought was the an earlier version of this one. This case turns out to be quite a bit bigger than my old one, and more substantial. It seems well put together and the buckles and strap are sturdy. Plenty of room and a padded section for a laptop toward the back. Note the dimensions especially the front-to-back depth-it's not a "fit under your arm" briefcase but more squared off and doesn't really collapse as you might suspect from the photo. If you're looking for a professional piece at a bargain price that looks like it will last a long time, this is a good choice. There is a large bottomless surface on the back of the case that I believe is to slip an extendable suitcase handle into when you're traveling but I'm not sure and its not explained on the accompanying info card.

I have had this case for over 2 weeks now and I love it! I do not own a laptop, so I can't comment on its capacity to carry them (from the space inside I'm sure it could hold most average-sized laptops or notebooks...wide screens may be a problem). The material is very high quality and looks and feels like a briefcase carried by your average 5th Avenue attorney. Some people I've met have said that it seems a little "boxy," but it is a BRIEFCASE not a BAG. If I could find any fault, it would be the small openings on each side of the case, below where the srap is clipped, which are exposed when the flap is buckled. I have carried this through the rain with no problem, as the openings are on the sides and not facing upwards. I have no huge problem with them, but others might if they are carrying a laptop or other electronic device very often through the rain without the convenience of an umbrella. However, I wouldn't go as far to say that it isn't weatherproof. Mine has gotten soaked from rain a few times and it, and my belongings inside, still look exactly like what they did when I took the case out of the box. All in all, a great quality case for the money.

Just received, unpacked, and quickly loaded...VERY NICE!! (Bravo to the packing/shipping department who delivered this within a day of ordering. )

Looked at several combination "Women's Briefcase/Laptop Carriers" but didn't find any with a substantial (wide/thick) strap and even fewer with a carrying handle. After hours of browsing, I found this bag and it has both options. The leather construction and silver accents make for a quality bag. The case shape is just boxy enough and design classic enough that it works well for men and women. At 5'3", I don't feel overwhelmed when I carry the bag and I especially appreciate the adjustable "belt buckle" strap; at it's shortest setting, the top of the bag comes to my waist and is very comfortable.

Regarding storage, I put my wallet and keys in the middle zippered pocket and put a few file folders and a planner in the other dividers. The padded laptop section is big for my MacBook Air (in a Speck case) but that gave me room for my Kindle in it's case. The section's padding isn't too thick and could be used instead to carry more paperwork or personal items. The front panel organizer is typical of most briefcases. The back has an outside zippered pocket, as well as an open "pocket" to piggyback onto your luggage handle.

First impressions, I'm very happy with my purchase!!

Pros:

This bag both look and feels extremely well made, and is perfect for carrying a laptop and some papers. I am an attorney, and it looks good in court.

It also fits fantastically onto the handle of a suitcase with its nicely hidden back-flap, which I do not think is obvious in the pictures..

Cons:

Before buying this I was aware that it was not a huge bag, and was intended for carrying a reasonably light amount of stuff. The main reason I have given four rather than five stars, however, is that it is not great for fitting irregularly shaped stuff (i.e. my leather binder, plus papers, plus laptop all fit in great, but I have difficulties instead fitting my coffee cup). You cannot stuff things into the bag, as, if you can't close the flap, you cant carry it at all, as the clasp has to be fully closed to use the strap.

UPDATE: After using the bag for a couple of weeks, it has definitely relaxed a little which makes a big difference to how much you can fit in. I can now happily fit in my laptop (albeit an ultrabook)and charger, my coffee cup, tuperware lunch box, umbrella and leather documents folder with some room to spare. END OF UPDATE

Also, I am not particularly tall (6ft) but the strap nevertheless felt too short to carry it over my shoulder. I have ended up using the strap from my previous bag.

Conclusion:

If you want to use this as a smart bag for your laptop plus papers, this is a great purchase and well worth the price. If you want this as a general bag and will have lots of stuff in it, consider getting a bigger/more flexible one. I would probably give this a 4.5 if I could.

Got this briefcase 1 year ago. Did some immediate travel for business and noticed that the bottom corners were starting to wear. The leather is composite, which you can see because the veneered corners have worn down. To be clear, I have not put this briefcase through any sort of undue stress. It's been in the following places: a car, under an airplane seat, and next to my desk.

I would like to give this product the benefit of the doubt, because of the other positive reviews, but I don't think Samsonite should be using composite leather.

Some pros: It looks quite sharp and I've been complemented on it many times. Also, it's affordable.

Additional con: It's not too roomy. If you put more than a couple folders inside the bag you will not be able to shut it.

Samsonite Leverage Laptop Backpack

Samsonite Leverage Laptop BackpackI bought this bag to replace my Targus Groove bookbag, after giving it to my little brother. This bookbag does not have the usual small pockets in front or on the side, but trust there are plenty of interior pockets, compartments, and dividers to suit your business and personal use.

This is a Samaonite bag, which initially tells me it is built for travel. I am a accounting consultant that travels weekly. The material feels durable, especially the leather handle at the top. The dividers may not be considered useful to someone buying this bag for personal use, but the bag is HUGE on the inside so anyone can make it work.

The straps are very strong. I'm 6'5" and the straps don't seem short as noted in reviews of other Samaonite bags.

There is a zipper pocket at the top for mp3, cellphone, or anything moderately sized. I keep my phone and headphones in that pocket to give me quick access when I'm at a cruising altitude.

The laptop compartment comfortably fits my dell 15.6" laptop. I like the bubble shaped cushion in the laptop compartment. There is also a lot of cushion on the part of the bag that rest against your bag.

I highly recommend this bag. If I find and cons I will update this review.

This laptop backpack is perfect for macbook pro 15' and 13'. I find it extremely easy to use in travelling.

A good school bag too. five star.

Purchased the Samosonite Leverage Laptop Backpack for my son, he was very pleased that the backpack is well padded for his laptop and Ipad, also has convenient front pocket for small items.

This nice looking , lightweight, and well made backpack will be great for air travel.

Kensington Saddlebag Sport Notebook Backpack

Kensington 62232 SaddleBag Sport Backpack for 15- to 17-Inch NotebooksThis is a terrific backpack. I walk a mile or so to and from work, and I recently bought a Dell 600m midsize notebook, so I decided it was time to get a computer backpack.

This is a terrific bag -it's extremely comfortable and well-balanced, with excellent build quality. The computer compartment is really well padded, and I'm pretty sure I could drop this bag or even toss it across the room and not damage my notebook. My notebook is only a 14", but the compartment appears to be able to hold one much larger.

It has a ton of pockets, and organization freaks will find a place for most anything. It has a decent-sized main compartment with little pockets for notebook accessories, and it has a separate file/paperwork compartment. This makes it really easy to pull out whatever it is you need without sorting through a mess of things that are jumbled together, even if you're as disorganized as I am.

In addition, it has a phone pocket on the strap (for easy access), some side pockets, a top pocket, and a back compartment with a whole bunch of little pockets inside it. Like I said, there's a place for most everything. I'll also be using this as a carry-on bag when I travel, and I've already found some good spots for toiletries and things like that to live.

The only reason I can think of not to buy this bag is if you need a full-sized travel pack or a really tiny mini-pack. For a normal-sized backpack, and for one that can double as a bookbag for college students, you can't do any better.

I ordered this backpack so I could easily carry around my new 17" Dell Inspiron 9300 It fits fine, and the backpack is comfy and roomy. Not many useful external pockets. "Cell phone" pocket is just another zippered pocket, nothing special. Reflective lining strips are starting to crack and peel off (after 2 months use). It fits my stuff though (I always have an ac power cord, mouse, headphones, mousepad, folders, notebooks, etc). Only the bottom is waterproof, some rain did get inside the top of my backpack but no real damage was done. It does the job.

I was visiting some important customers and noticed that all of the guys had these cool backpacks, unlike the bulky boxy laptop bags we were issued. These backpacks have everything you need, including convenient zip side pockets to hold your MP3 player, a zip-down compartment to store your PDA, keys, and a padded laptop compartment. An added benefit is the cell phone pocket that is integrated with the strap so that if you were walking along and you can easily reach your cell phone. I noticed this when one guy reached down under the table to get his ringing phone. It also looks jazzy, with some reflector trimming on the side pockets.

I like the fact that the bag is well padded and there are adequate pockets on the inside to put your notebook accessories. It has a nice rubberized bottom and the upper-end of the back straps are a continuation of the bag itself, not just some strap sewed on to. It also looks like a normal backpack so it's an inconspicous way to carry around your precious notebook.

Want Kensington Saddlebag Sport Notebook Backpack Discount?

If one is willing to shell out a fair amount of moola for a laptop computer, then one, it reasons, should also be willing to do the same for the carrying case that will be housing it while being transported, yes? The main question that arises is whether that case should be one that looks like a carrying case or a casual backpack. Myself, I've seen two drawbacks to the former: one, with either its handles or its inadequately padded over-the-shoulder strap, it concentrates all the weight onto one side of the body; two, it looks like a notebook case, thus alerting any potential thief that it contains a computer. So, for me, a non-professional who doesn't have an office job and who doesn't meet clients in office-like settings, the backpack-case route seemed the best route to go. So at a local Circuit City I opted for the Kensington 62232 SaddleBag Sport Computer Carrying Case, with a cost of $39.99 plus tax. There are more expensive backpack cases out there, and also slightly cheaper ones, so preferring more often than not to purchase products in the middle-of-the-road price range, the SaddleBag Sport fit the bill for me. And it's been a pleasure for the most part, especially in light of a previous unpleasant experience with a carrying case a year and a half ago, which, coupled with a 9 lb. Hewlett Packard laptop (both of which I returned to Best Buy after a mere week), made for some serious shoulder-aching days. There are a couple of drawbacks to this particular backpack case, it must be noted, but thus far after a three-month period the pros have decidedly outweighed the cons.

Not looking like some kaleidoscope-colored eyesore from Gadzooks or a drab, nondescript JanSport, the SaddleBag Sport is comfortable yet classyand sporty-looking. It's made out of black waterproof nylon and contains numerous pouches and pockets for numerous needs. On both bottom sides there's an open pocket for a water bottle, which serves its function well enough and is even accommodating for small umbrellas (though if you try toting either by using just one of the straps on your shoulder, the objects will rub up against your side and fall out); and right above each one is a small zip pocket designed for easy access to a cell phone or MP3 device (though I can't aver that this design equates into a success since I own neither such device). On the bottom of the front side, there's a small leather pouch that contains pockets for writing supplies and business cards, along with a gray metal clasp for keys; and attached to the open flap there's a nylon zipper net for storing small loose items, like paper clips and staples and the like. Above that is a compartment more than double the pouch's size that extends all the way to the bottom of the case; ideal for medium to large cupped headphones and paperback books, this. And opening up from the top is the main compartment, which splits into two sections. The first one has several non-zippered mini nets lining the exterior wall, which can be bothersome in that objects, like paper notebooks, can get snagged on them; aside from these needless things (I've no idea the purpose of them), the allotted space is adequate.

It's the second compartment, though (with the dimensions 12.0"L x 16.4"H x 2.0"W) -the one designed for the laptop -that's the bee's knees, so to speak. With Kensington's SnugFit(tm) sleeve, your computer will be amid some reassuring surroundings. The lining of the interior back wall and the sides is soft but durable and exceptionally well-padded; and the exterior backside boasts not only good padding for added reinforcement of that inner compartment, but three padded contours -on the top left and right and bottom center -for added comfort while carrying the case on the shoulder or back. A couple of possible negatives, however: while the exterior bottom has been superbly designed for water resistance (it's made out of rubber), the interior bottom relies too much on it -it lacks the generous padding of the back and sides, so if the case were dropped and landed straight down, either side of the laptop could be susceptible to damage; and the top is also a problem in that its interior padding is just as mediocre, and it doesn't have the benefit of the exterior bottom's notched rubber as a contingency. Yet, as bothersome as these vulnerabilities are (why not splurge for just a wee bit more padding in these two spots?), the chances of sustaining damage to your laptop are quite minimal in that the case, when dropped with the rest of its compartments adequately filled, tends to fall in a face-first direction, thus leaving the compartments containing the less-expensive items absorbing the majority of the impact. That leaves the vulnerable top portion, but the likelihood of dropping the case upside down is, as you'll probably agree, low.

As for the carrying comfort, the SaddleBag Sport is quite a wonder. Compared to my Hewlett laptop/carrying case experience, which felt much like a toilful chore, this one with my 7.9 lb. Toshiba 15.4" and this case isn't even in the same ballpark. The contoured (and easily adjustable) shoulder straps, which have been designed to ease neck and shoulder strain, make carrying this on one's shoulder perfectly feasible; and, as aforementioned, the generous padding on the back and its snug (but not tight) fit to your body occasionally make you forget you're toting the case around, believe it or not. Another praiseworthy notable is the zippers. They move back and forth with ease, the material surrounding them is not only reflective, which improves nighttime visibility, but protective in their complete covering and sealing of the zipper, which vastly decreases the chance of water seeping in. Throw in a water-resistant headphone port located at the very top of the case, along with a design that makes it super-easy to gain access to your laptop at a moment's notice with just one zip (for a case that's this protective, it's hard to believe you don't have to wade through two or more zippers to get to it), and you have yourself quite the stylish alternative to those run-of-the-mill satchel cases. Oh, perhaps there could be a bit more room in the main compartment being that with a regular-size laptop, its AC power adapter, a couple of DVDs, and a 3-subject notebook there isn't much in the way of spare room left (of course, a Centrino notebook without the AC adapter would alleviate this), but overall the SaddleBag Sport does its intended job and does it well.

Kata KT D-3N1-22 3 In 1 Sling /Backpack with Laptop Slot

Kata KT D-3N1-22 3 In 1 Sling /Backpack with Laptop SlotI've been more than happy with my Amazon-purchased Ape Case camera bag (medium) -a great value and a terrific bag. It's a workhorse that still looks new after two years.

But I've wanted a backpack camera bag. Shopping around, I kept coming back to the Kata 3N1 for its versatility: regular backpack, left or right sling with quick access on either side, and criss-cross to go from backpack to sling in seconds.

But which one? The 20 or the 30? I didn't need the netbook / laptop compartment, since I don't plan to tote one. The 30 sounded a bit large.

I ordered the 20, then changed my mind and chose the 22 -WITH the netbook compartment. Because I realized I would use it for manuals and bounce cards. And maybe a netbook, if I like . . .

The Kata 3N1 22 arrived in four days and it's been everything I hoped. Beautifully designed and constructed; high quality; amazing in operation.

Right away, out of curiosity, I wanted to see how I could configure it and load it up. Here it is, packed, at 14 pounds. (3 of those are the bag, so that's 11 pounds of gear in a deceptively compact and comfortable backpack.)

UPPER COMPARTMENT

580 EX II Speedlite (in its case, with stand)

430 EX II Speedlite (in its case, with stand)

8 spare AA batteries for Speedlites

Cables

Microfibre cloths

Lens caps

RIGHT EXTERIOR POUCH

Second Canon camera battery

Canon battery wall charger

LEFT EXTERIOR POUCH

Polarizing and other filters

MAIN COMPARTMENT

Canon 40D

Tamron 70-300mm and reversed hood (on camera)

Canon 50mm 1.8 prime (hood separate)

Canon 28-135mm (hood reversed)

Tamron 17-35mm (hood separate)

Tamron 28-200mm (hood reversed)

2-pc Vivitar wireless remote (in mesh pouch, not included)

3pc Cowboy wireless Speedlite triggers (in mesh pouch, not included)

Rain cover in pouch

Media kit -with extra compact flash cards

NETBOOK COMPARTMENT

"A Better Bounce Card" Bounce Cards

Manuals

And there's still room for a card reader, binoculars, LED flashlight, small miscellaneous items.

Will I walk around every day with it loaded like that? Probably not. Then again, why not? Leaving out a couple or three lenses and one Speedlite doesn't reduce the weight by THAT much. (Though it's an amazingly comfortable everyday run-around backpack / sling if I leave a few items at home.)

All I have to do is sling my tripod (in its case) and light stand / umbrella (in their case) over my shoulder, or hand carry them, and go. An easily portable highly versatile studio for locations.

Does the 3N1 system really work? And how!

I have had none of the problems a few others have mentioned. I'm 6', 200 lbs, 42" waist. The adjustable waistband fits me fine, with inches to spare.

Yes, wearing it as a regular backpack is the most comfortable over time, as everybody mentions.

But the criss-cross position is almost equally comfortable, with the advantage of instantly converting to a sling. I don't feel "choked" by the straps at my neck, as a few have mentioned. Yes, I adjust them more often because of the configuration. But I don't mind, having the option to instantly go to a sling.

The adjustable padding on the straps is comfortable and effective. The quick-release buckles are strong yet easy to fasten or open. Yes, you really CAN pull the side flap open with one hand and grab your camera from the bag on the fly. The zippers are heavy-duty but smooth.

Sling position (I'm right-handed) works as advertised, with rapid access to my camera without opening the main bag, plus the stabilizing factor of resting my elbows on the bag, now slung around and lying across my front, while shooting.

Sturdy, solid protection for all that gear, plus a rain cover if needed. And yes, I'm glad to have the netbook compartment. I knew I'd use it and it's worth the extra $20.

Now that I've seen how MUCH gear I can pack, it's a daily exercise to decide what I really WON'T need when I go out, and enjoy this versatile backpack / sling at its lightest and for all it's worth. Because it's so brilliantly sized and configured that, backpack or sling, it doesn't feel clumsy or oversized at all, as you use it.

Of course, you're carrying as much as 14 pounds of gear or more in this seemingly compact case -so it's not like toting an iPhone in your pocket. You feel it. The trick is HOW and how much you might be strained by the extra weight.

The Kata 3N1 22 distributes the weight perfectly and is hands down and fully loaded the most comfortable backpack I've ever worn. You can even use it as an ordinary backpack if you like. The padded partition separating the upper from the main compartment unzips to create one large interior space (by removing the remaining velcro-strapped padded dividers).

I'm impressed. This is an organically designed ergonomic camera equipment transport-protection system that can literally change from day to day, or hour to hour, according to your personal / professional needs and schedule. Priced as well as it is designed and constructed.

Great job, Kata.

I gave this pack a five star rating because it is well made, well designed, roomy, and works the way it is intended. But even with all that being said, I have returned the bag. It's simply too big for me. That's why I'm reviewing it I want to give some fair warning to potential purchasers.

I'm a photo enthusiast and I take my camera nearly everywhere. If you're like me, you're obsessing over this bag purchase, looking at all of them and trying to choose the one that works best for you. I bought this bag thinking it would be nice to have plenty of space to hold all my gear. And it does just that. I have a Canon 40D, two telephoto lenses and a short prime lense. Add to that all the usual stuff you need to own battery pack, cleaning supplies, a few filters, and spare SD cards. It all fits in the bag with room to spare for my passport, sunglasses, wallet items, even a snack and a bottle of water. It's comfortable, secure, has a waste strap for support, and the quick side opening works well. I got the one with the laptop compartment and my netbook fits in it just fine.

But the thing is just too darned big! I feel like I'm shouting TOURIST!! It sticks way up on my back and looks silly. If I use it in the criss-cross configuration, it crosses over my breasts and makes them look like Zena the Princess Warrior. I can get the side opening to work using the backpack configuration, but it's not as stable. And it's so bulky that it feels a bit unwieldy.

Finally, carrying all that stuff around made me realize that doing so is not really necessary. Do I really need to carry all three of my lenses and all my cards, filters, and gear on an outing? It makes for a heavy pack, and unless you're a pro, or a very serious ameteur, I just don't see it being necessary to take it all with me. I traded down for a lowepro fastpack 100, and I'll post a review when I've had a chance to go over it. But it looks like I'll be able to carry my camera, one spare lense and all the other accessories I need just fine. The pack is smaller, more streamlined looking, and weighs less.

I gave this item a great rating because it is a beautiful product. Quality materials, light color inside so you can see what's inside well, and lots of thought put into what a camera user needs. And I LOVE the fast access side set-up. I didn't think it would be fair to rate it down because it didn't suit my needs. But non-pros should know that it's big enough to carry a fair amount -if not allof what you own, and if you want to do that, then this bag will suit your needs. But if you want to carry your camera, maybe a spare lense, battery and SD card with plenty of room left for a sack lunch, this is overkill.

I researched for several months to find a sling bag that would be large enough to carry my D700, 3 lenses (1 of which is a larger ultrawide zoom), and various other peripherals when I travel, that would *magically* shrink to a manageable size for day hikes and around-town shooting. With exception to the Kata, I was able to examine the usual suspects in person at a local electronics superstore. The bags were either too small or too big, and none offered the flexible sling / back pack option, so I decided to take a leap of faith and order a Kata. I was leaning towards the 10, however, based on other reviews, I decided the medium size would be required to accomodate my kit. I ordered the Kata KT D-3N1-22 3 In 1 Sling /Backpack with Laptop Slot so I could tote my iPad2 as well.

I received the bag quickly and was immediately concerned about the size. I decided to give it a try anyway. With room to spare, I was able to load it up with the kit mentioned above as well as my iPad, wallet, various cleaning gadgets and a few more odds and ends one would expect to carry on a day trip. I struggled with the size of the bag on my frame all day. The back pack configuration worked a little better, but the bag itself is so long. it would not sit comfortably on my tiny frame in any configuration. It also stuck out way farther than I liked. Even on my husband, who is 5'9", the profile was freakishly large.

I give this bag four stars because the quality is top-notch, and the over-all functionality is great. I just wish it had a drnk holder, as mentioned by most others. Despite the size, i was easily able to access my equipment and swap lenses without the need for placing the bag on the ground. I am going to exchange this bag for the Kata KT D-3N1-10 Sling/Backpack (Black) in hopes that it is more suited to my needs. I will update my review upon receipt of that bag.

8/17/2011 UPDATE: Received the Kata KT D-3N1-10 Sling/Backpack (Black) and love it. It's more suited to someone small like me, and with exception to my iPad, fits everything the Kata KT D-3N1-22 3 In 1 Sling /Backpack with Laptop Slot held. I am very pleased with my exchange.

This bag is fantastic. It is good looking, flexible, well organized, and sturdy. I travel worldwide, year round. I am a road warrior. I needed a bag for carry on purposes that I could also use while doing day hikes, take to the office, etc. I carry:

a Nikon D7000 with 2 extra lenses

a macbook air 11 inch

a sony coolpix

two mobile phones

a wifi hotspot

two pouches with cables and wires and chargers

passport and money pouch

rain sleeve

ultralight windbreaker

-Spare batteries

-small spiral paper notebook and pen

I used to have to carry a much larger bag to accommodate these items. But the 3N-22 works perfectly. Its a snug fit, but with all of the pockets and points of access, I can get to everything quickly. It is also sturdy.

The flexible straps work really well. I recently tested these on a mountain biking excursion in China. Used both straps while biking and pulled one to quickly slide the bag towards my chest for easy access to my DSLR. Worked quickly and easily.

My only suggestion for improvement would be for Kata to re-inforce the bottom of the bag with a water proof fabric. I set mine down all of the time, and not always in the driest of places. Otherwise, I would say this is the best bag I have ever owned... And I have tried many.

Case Logic VLS-110 Sleeve for 7-Inch to 10-Inch Netbooks and iPad

Case Logic VLS-110 Sleeve for 7-Inch to 10-Inch Netbooks and iPadI have to say, I was hesitant on getting this sleeve, for that some said it would fit the 15.4 inch laptops, and some 16's. I ordered this one, got in the mail just recently, tried it out, and it fits my Dell Studio XPS 16 (w/ the 16 inch screen) like a GLOVE!!! I LOVE the fact that on one side of it is lined with suede, so removing it makes it very easy!!! I feel confident now that I don't have to worry about leaving my computer somewhere, or have it collect dust, since I'm deployed out in Afghanistan at the moment. The zipper felt good, wasn't flimsy or anything, it should last as long as I keep the computer.

Also, I had ordered an OGIO Politan Pack just recently, and wasn't sure if the Sleeve with my laptop inside of it would fit, but sure enough it did!!! Not only am I happy with the purchase, but at the fact that sleeve fits PERFECTLY within the OGIO Politan Backpack!! So if it fits my 16inch XPS without any issues, any 15.4 inch laptop SHOULD fit in here as well...

I was looking for a basic sleeve to protect my iPad and Apple wireless keyboard while stowed inside my backpack. This case fit the bill perfectly. Additionally, the quality of design, materials, and construction FAR exceeded my expectations considering what I paid (under $15).

General comments:

Basic sleeve design for a netbook or iPad, as advertised. The construction is high quality, especially for the price. The material feels sturdy in hand, but is exceptionally light. Both sides of the sleeve are padded (neither side is rigid). The interior surface is smooth nylon. The interior portion of the zipper is protected from contents by a lip of fabric which, by its design, does NOT get caught up in the zipper. The zipper itself runs from the top left corner of the sleeve all the way down the right side of the sleeve, giving you the flexibility to only open the sleeve from the top or open it up more widely. Accented patches at the bottom and front center are a nice touch, providing good grip points.

iPad specific:

Bought the sleeve to house my iPad. Was despairing because I could not find a simple case to house both my iPad and my Apple wireless keyboard. Thought I would be forced to leave the sleeve open at the top with the keyboard sticking out. To my surprise, the iPad AND keyboard fit nicely together in the sleeve. The keyboard takes up the maximum height of the case, but the zipper closes nicely without being forced or rubbing, even with the iPad inside also.

I bought this case over the other neoprene cases available from Caselogic, though it was the purchase of another neoprene case as a gift that turned me on to the Caselogic laptop sleeves. I opted for this model because of the tougher fabric from which it is made and because it is more padded.

The case is very solid. As others have noted, the small accent patches of softer suede-like material on the ends make it much easier to grip the case, and the case provides very good protection for a laptop.

Despite the benefits of the padding, it is also, perhaps, the case's biggest drawback. It is quite thick in comparison the neoprene cases against which it might be compared. But since it has no external pockets, that thickness comes with no capacity to carry the accessories--like a laptop charger or earbud headphones, etc--you might need if you intend to use this case as your primary means of transporting your laptop. I use this case, in its 14" size, primarily to protect my laptop when I carry it in my larger briefcase to prevent my computer from sliding around or getting damaged by pens and the like in my larger bag. It is excellent in this capacity, and also serves me well when I go on quick errands where I know I won't be needing to plug in my laptop and don't want to carry my whole briefcase.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the case. It does its job well, and I don't mind the slightly larger size because I appreciate the extra padding and protection--the reason I bought the case in the first place.

*note: edited review two weeks after purchase* This is a very comfortable and compact case and build quality is excellent. It would be my favorite case if not for two things:

1) My 10.1" Aspire One with the larger 6-cell battery pack *BARELY* fits. It's a very tight squeeze and the zipper takes some effort to get it to close around the corners.

2) No room for extras. It's a real stretch to get any extras in the case. I cannot zip it closed if I put the power cord, mouse, etc in this same case.

This is a sturdy, well padded and very protective case. If you need to carry extras with it, choose something larger.

Coleman RTX 3100 30L Backpack with Laptop Sleeve

Coleman RTX 3100 30L Backpack with Laptop SleeveI have had this backpack for two years now (purchased in July 2009) and it has stood up remarkably well. This backpack has been used primarily as a "work" bag (used to haul my lunch, work supplies, laptop, etc on a daily basis to and from work) plus it has seen some significant duty as a carry-on for both international and domestic flights (fits great under the seat). There are a healthy amount of internal pockets which are well protected and proportioned and the smaller external pockets are easily accessed and close securely (for the most part).

I am admittedly pretty rough with my backpacks and historically, most of them seem to wear out in two areas. The first is the stitching where the shoulder strap attaches to the top of the bag (common to most every backpack, no?)and the second is the fabric bottom/under-belly. This bag has held up in these two areas very well for me and are in almost new condition. I am especially surprised because I often keep this backpack under my desk and it is constantly being stepped on, kicked, and being dragged across a rough nylon carpet. These repetitious actions tend to quickly wear through the fabric bottoms of my backpacks... the one that I had before this one had holes in the bottom within 6 months under these conditions.

Other positives are the color... noticeable but not an obnoxiously bright orange. This bag also has a few stripes of reflective fabric on the shoulder straps for safety at night.

The only negative thing I have to say is in regards to the two mesh pockets on either side of the bag. They are not secure (no closures), they are tight and get shallow towards the front of the bag and I think that there could be a distinct possibility of losing stuff if you use them. I also see them as an easy target to get pilfered on a crowded city bus.

My Coleman backpack zipper broke on my first attempted use. Coleman Warranty Service was no help since I didn't buy it from a Brick and Mortar store. There is a big reason why these are selling so cheap, "They are Cheaply Made". I will never purchase Coleman products again!!!!

this backpack came and i was expecting a nice quality laptop backpack like i paid for. this backpack simply has a flimsy piece of material for holding yourlaptop, and the zippers are. very low quality. for a $50 ish backpack the quality of the product is very low. the size s also very big. i am only 5'2" but the backpack still seems exceedingly big. i do not reccommending this backpack, you can find a way better one for the price that you are paying.
