BUILT 17" Laptop Sleeve, Summer Bloom

BUILT 17' Laptop Sleeve, Summer BloomI love this case! Its even better in person! My new lap top is 17.3 inches and it fits perfect in it. The quality is the best and shipping was very fast. As always I love buying from Amazon!

This was just what I wanted. It fits my 17" laptop perfectly with enough stretch to fit the cables too. Print is cute with yellow interior. It came quickly and the purchase was a breeze.

I purchased this item for my daughter's first laptop. The item looks just like the picture! and fit perfectly as well (17.3 inch laptop). The construction is good and is also very nicely padded and the delivery was expedient.

I was looking for something for my 17" laptop. Tried two other products one too tight and the other had a flimsy feel to it. Ordered this one and it was just perfect. Has protected my computer in various settings including lengthy air travel shoved under my seat, in and out during flight sometimes not very carefully. Although it's easily inserted into the sleeve, it feels very snug and protected. Like the looks of it too!

Hello Kitty Small Backpack

Hello Kitty Small BackpackCute as heck. Just right for kindergarten aged daughter. She loves it so I do too. Worth every penny. The rest of my comments are filling space.

This item is decently constructed and is showing no signs of wear after six weeks of use. It's also differently designed from the Hello Kitty backpacks sold in major retail outlets so you can tell your kid's backpack apart from the zillion others that were bought at XXX-Mart. My problem with most backpacks is that they're simply too big for a five-year-old unless you plan on training them early for the cruel and unusual discipline of high-school backpack hauling. This one seemed to be the perfect size and the young 'un loves it.

However... THIS ITEM IS NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR ALL SCHOOL MATERIAL. I can fit the bendy folder by tucking in the corners. I can fit the lunchbox and a sweater in behind the folder. I can fit a snack in the side pocket and a few accessories in the front pocket. I cannot fit a regular-sized stiff binder or a large book and your child is bound to be asked to carry one at some point. The backpack simply does not have enough height and the corners are too rounded for the zipper to close around those objects. For this I'm docking only one point because my planning is at fault as much as the description is unhelpful but I do wish I'd known this beforehand. So here's the heads-up for parents of kids who actually go to school: It's a very nice backpack but there's a good chance that it's not going to work for you as more than a toy.

Edit: I'm eating my words at the beginning of this review. Docked one more point for durability because the backpack's fabric is showing signs of wear similar to laddering... I can almost see daylight through the folds and creases on the bottom. My kid is not rough on her stuff, this is the consequence of normal use for half a year.

I love the size of this backpack! It's perfect for my 3 year old to take to preschool. I gave 4 stars on durability just because we haven't used it yet. Finally a backpack that isn't too small,(won't fit anything) but isn't too big for her to carry.

My son has been using this back pack for less than a month and both zippers have broken and there is a big hole in the bottom of the bag. My son is in 2nd grade so he does not carry much. I would not expect a three ring binder to make a big hole in the bottom after only 3 weeks of use. The bag looks great and has nice side pockets, but doesn't last.

This backpack was a birthday gift for my son... it was saved until the school year began so that he could use it, as Angry Birds are his passion. One of the main zippers broke on the first day of use, so he could only use the other zipper for it, which then broke of the 5th day of school. I didn't think that it wouldn't even survive a week of school and I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this purchase. I have four children and have NEVER seen a backpack made with such poor quality zippers. SAD SAD SAD.

Great backpack for back to school 2012/bought for 5th grader/plenty of room for stuff and side pocket for water bottle. Fast shipping, good seller. will buy from again

Received this item in good time from Amazon. It's a cute backpack, and a good design with handy compartments. Unfortunately, I had to return it because the zipper had not been assembled properly and the main compartment didn't zip from both sides as it should have. So check your item for flaws before you take the tags off or use it!

(I had to return two items to Amazon today, both due to faulty workmanship, both made in China...)

SOLO Classic Collection Laptop Portfolio with Smart Strap, Holds Notebook Computer up to 15.4 Inche

SOLO Classic Collection Laptop Portfolio with Smart Strap, Holds Notebook Computer up to 15.4 Inches, Black, PT434-4I have had this bag for for over two months now and I absolutely love it! The primary reason for me purchasing this bag was due to the retractable shoulder strap which works great. I find myself using the handles most of the time, so having the shoulder strap out of the way unless I actually need it is a great feature. It really cuts down the bulkiness of the bag without a strap swinging around.

I primarily use the bag to tote my ipad and other accessories to and from work and for travel. The internal computer cavity is very well padded and I feel like the ipad is very safe. I am able to tote my 15" widescreen laptop in there as well without any issues.

Not only do I use this for work and travel, I am also getting my masters and it has plenty of room for books and supplies. I have had two large text books and a full 1.5" binder all in the portfolio section of the bag at once. There are many other great compartments that allow you to hold and organize your other supplies.

Overall, I am very happy with this bag.

I have a small Apple laptop (13 inch screen) which required a neoprene sleeve to keep it from bouncing around so much in the bag. This is not a complaint. I knew the bag would handle a much larger laptop. It has excellent storage and will hold a large file along with the laptop. The retractable strap is the reason I bought this particular bag though. Once extended, the strap does not retract well on one end. I need to push on the strap and then it will retract properly. This is only an occasional problem and does not take away much from my satisfaction with the bag (I dropped one star). The various storage compartments are well thought out and extremely handy.

Kensington Saddlebag Sport Notebook Backpack

Kensington 62232 SaddleBag Sport Backpack for 15- to 17-Inch NotebooksThis is a terrific backpack. I walk a mile or so to and from work, and I recently bought a Dell 600m midsize notebook, so I decided it was time to get a computer backpack.

This is a terrific bag -it's extremely comfortable and well-balanced, with excellent build quality. The computer compartment is really well padded, and I'm pretty sure I could drop this bag or even toss it across the room and not damage my notebook. My notebook is only a 14", but the compartment appears to be able to hold one much larger.

It has a ton of pockets, and organization freaks will find a place for most anything. It has a decent-sized main compartment with little pockets for notebook accessories, and it has a separate file/paperwork compartment. This makes it really easy to pull out whatever it is you need without sorting through a mess of things that are jumbled together, even if you're as disorganized as I am.

In addition, it has a phone pocket on the strap (for easy access), some side pockets, a top pocket, and a back compartment with a whole bunch of little pockets inside it. Like I said, there's a place for most everything. I'll also be using this as a carry-on bag when I travel, and I've already found some good spots for toiletries and things like that to live.

The only reason I can think of not to buy this bag is if you need a full-sized travel pack or a really tiny mini-pack. For a normal-sized backpack, and for one that can double as a bookbag for college students, you can't do any better.

I ordered this backpack so I could easily carry around my new 17" Dell Inspiron 9300 It fits fine, and the backpack is comfy and roomy. Not many useful external pockets. "Cell phone" pocket is just another zippered pocket, nothing special. Reflective lining strips are starting to crack and peel off (after 2 months use). It fits my stuff though (I always have an ac power cord, mouse, headphones, mousepad, folders, notebooks, etc). Only the bottom is waterproof, some rain did get inside the top of my backpack but no real damage was done. It does the job.

I was visiting some important customers and noticed that all of the guys had these cool backpacks, unlike the bulky boxy laptop bags we were issued. These backpacks have everything you need, including convenient zip side pockets to hold your MP3 player, a zip-down compartment to store your PDA, keys, and a padded laptop compartment. An added benefit is the cell phone pocket that is integrated with the strap so that if you were walking along and you can easily reach your cell phone. I noticed this when one guy reached down under the table to get his ringing phone. It also looks jazzy, with some reflector trimming on the side pockets.

I like the fact that the bag is well padded and there are adequate pockets on the inside to put your notebook accessories. It has a nice rubberized bottom and the upper-end of the back straps are a continuation of the bag itself, not just some strap sewed on to. It also looks like a normal backpack so it's an inconspicous way to carry around your precious notebook.

Want Kensington Saddlebag Sport Notebook Backpack Discount?

If one is willing to shell out a fair amount of moola for a laptop computer, then one, it reasons, should also be willing to do the same for the carrying case that will be housing it while being transported, yes? The main question that arises is whether that case should be one that looks like a carrying case or a casual backpack. Myself, I've seen two drawbacks to the former: one, with either its handles or its inadequately padded over-the-shoulder strap, it concentrates all the weight onto one side of the body; two, it looks like a notebook case, thus alerting any potential thief that it contains a computer. So, for me, a non-professional who doesn't have an office job and who doesn't meet clients in office-like settings, the backpack-case route seemed the best route to go. So at a local Circuit City I opted for the Kensington 62232 SaddleBag Sport Computer Carrying Case, with a cost of $39.99 plus tax. There are more expensive backpack cases out there, and also slightly cheaper ones, so preferring more often than not to purchase products in the middle-of-the-road price range, the SaddleBag Sport fit the bill for me. And it's been a pleasure for the most part, especially in light of a previous unpleasant experience with a carrying case a year and a half ago, which, coupled with a 9 lb. Hewlett Packard laptop (both of which I returned to Best Buy after a mere week), made for some serious shoulder-aching days. There are a couple of drawbacks to this particular backpack case, it must be noted, but thus far after a three-month period the pros have decidedly outweighed the cons.

Not looking like some kaleidoscope-colored eyesore from Gadzooks or a drab, nondescript JanSport, the SaddleBag Sport is comfortable yet classyand sporty-looking. It's made out of black waterproof nylon and contains numerous pouches and pockets for numerous needs. On both bottom sides there's an open pocket for a water bottle, which serves its function well enough and is even accommodating for small umbrellas (though if you try toting either by using just one of the straps on your shoulder, the objects will rub up against your side and fall out); and right above each one is a small zip pocket designed for easy access to a cell phone or MP3 device (though I can't aver that this design equates into a success since I own neither such device). On the bottom of the front side, there's a small leather pouch that contains pockets for writing supplies and business cards, along with a gray metal clasp for keys; and attached to the open flap there's a nylon zipper net for storing small loose items, like paper clips and staples and the like. Above that is a compartment more than double the pouch's size that extends all the way to the bottom of the case; ideal for medium to large cupped headphones and paperback books, this. And opening up from the top is the main compartment, which splits into two sections. The first one has several non-zippered mini nets lining the exterior wall, which can be bothersome in that objects, like paper notebooks, can get snagged on them; aside from these needless things (I've no idea the purpose of them), the allotted space is adequate.

It's the second compartment, though (with the dimensions 12.0"L x 16.4"H x 2.0"W) -the one designed for the laptop -that's the bee's knees, so to speak. With Kensington's SnugFit(tm) sleeve, your computer will be amid some reassuring surroundings. The lining of the interior back wall and the sides is soft but durable and exceptionally well-padded; and the exterior backside boasts not only good padding for added reinforcement of that inner compartment, but three padded contours -on the top left and right and bottom center -for added comfort while carrying the case on the shoulder or back. A couple of possible negatives, however: while the exterior bottom has been superbly designed for water resistance (it's made out of rubber), the interior bottom relies too much on it -it lacks the generous padding of the back and sides, so if the case were dropped and landed straight down, either side of the laptop could be susceptible to damage; and the top is also a problem in that its interior padding is just as mediocre, and it doesn't have the benefit of the exterior bottom's notched rubber as a contingency. Yet, as bothersome as these vulnerabilities are (why not splurge for just a wee bit more padding in these two spots?), the chances of sustaining damage to your laptop are quite minimal in that the case, when dropped with the rest of its compartments adequately filled, tends to fall in a face-first direction, thus leaving the compartments containing the less-expensive items absorbing the majority of the impact. That leaves the vulnerable top portion, but the likelihood of dropping the case upside down is, as you'll probably agree, low.

As for the carrying comfort, the SaddleBag Sport is quite a wonder. Compared to my Hewlett laptop/carrying case experience, which felt much like a toilful chore, this one with my 7.9 lb. Toshiba 15.4" and this case isn't even in the same ballpark. The contoured (and easily adjustable) shoulder straps, which have been designed to ease neck and shoulder strain, make carrying this on one's shoulder perfectly feasible; and, as aforementioned, the generous padding on the back and its snug (but not tight) fit to your body occasionally make you forget you're toting the case around, believe it or not. Another praiseworthy notable is the zippers. They move back and forth with ease, the material surrounding them is not only reflective, which improves nighttime visibility, but protective in their complete covering and sealing of the zipper, which vastly decreases the chance of water seeping in. Throw in a water-resistant headphone port located at the very top of the case, along with a design that makes it super-easy to gain access to your laptop at a moment's notice with just one zip (for a case that's this protective, it's hard to believe you don't have to wade through two or more zippers to get to it), and you have yourself quite the stylish alternative to those run-of-the-mill satchel cases. Oh, perhaps there could be a bit more room in the main compartment being that with a regular-size laptop, its AC power adapter, a couple of DVDs, and a 3-subject notebook there isn't much in the way of spare room left (of course, a Centrino notebook without the AC adapter would alleviate this), but overall the SaddleBag Sport does its intended job and does it well.

Ogio Pagoda L Laptop/Tablet Messenger Bag

Ogio Pagoda L Laptop/Tablet Messenger BagGreat bag for people who love huge laptops, but hate being stationary. Convenient when travelling and passing scans too, and has all the necessary pockets for any g33k

Purchased because I have a very big 17" laptop that I'm taking to school and back. This bag fits my laptop snugly but quite well. I don't think there are bigger laptops out there so if you're worried about it fitting, you're probably covered. The pockets are numerous and in some cases hidden. This bag unzips from the bottom and unfolds at the top with a huge pocket sandwiched in the middle. That is in addition to the large main compartment that closes by the flap. It is big enough to use as an overnight or even two night bag if you pack carefully.

The only thing I wish it had is a small strap that wrapped around my waist from the corner to keep it in place when used back pack style. When it is fully loaded it has a tendency to slide some.

Kelty Lark 23-Liter Daypack

Kelty Lark 23-Liter DaypackI have a Kelty Redwing 3100 that I absolutely love. However, I was looking for something lighter for art school and was excited to see the Kelty Vintage line. The Lark is an excellent backpack, and it's too bad they don't show you more pictures other than just the front of the backpack. The internal organizer is really handy and there is also a slot on the back side of the backpack for putting something in as well. The pack is definitely made with great care and quality. The size of the pack is just right. Not too small nor is it too big. The front pocket is also very roomy as well. Definitely worth picking up if you're looking for a backpack that's light and able to hold your laptop, with room to spare for other items of interest.

About 4 months into owning this with light use (laptop and notebook at most) 3-4 days a week the shoulder straps pulled away from the material. The blue material of the bag itself seems to be the cause as the shoulder bags/messenger bags of the same material have had the same problem for me. The seams fray and pull apart. Such a shame but I LOVE the design of these products. Would just like to see them made more durable.

I absolutely love this back pack and it was absolutely my favorite until it broke this morning. The right strap just snapped (and I literally mean SNAPPED) right off at the bottom of the backpack, leaving a tremendous hole. Not only did it ruin the rest of my day, but I'm so sad now. I'm going to try to figure out if I can maybe sew it back together, but I'm afraid it will just break again.

I wish this backpack was made a little more sturdy. I've had it for less than a month!

Belkin F8N157-001 Quilted Hard Drive Case 2.5" Pitch Black

Belkin F8N157-001 Quilted Hard Drive Case 2.5' Pitch BlackI'm a designer and really particular. I was drawn to this case because of it's simplicity, matte color and being familiar with Belkin products. This case would have been perfect for my 1TB WD My Passport Studio, but unfortunately the manufacturing standards must have been very poor and the case is sewn a bit lopsided. Because I am the way I am, asymmetrical things drive me crazy and this case was very asymmetrical, especially when zippered shut with the cable and hard drive inside. It was a bummer because the stock photos show this perfect oven mitt looking case but it's not an accurate representation. Aside from the asymmetricity (if that's a word), another thing to note is the zipper. Unlike most hard drive cases out there that unzip to allow all 4 corners of the case to open, this case unzips half way allowing only 2 corners, so it's more like a coin purse which makes getting the hard drive in and out a bit tricky. Not a big deal but worth mentioning. The zipper also is under a flap of fabric, like on a jacket so it easily gets caught. And finally, it's a tight fit. If you include the USB or Firewire cable inside (there is a mesh pocket for it), it gets a little bulky. I ordered a few cases at once and ended up keeping the CaseCrown. I thought it was best overall. Check that review if you're interested.

I was looking for a safe case for my Seagate FreeAgent portable hard drive, and one that was a little more stylish than the ones I had seen elsewhere. This one, with its quilted nylon exterior, fits the bill. There's a sleeve for the hard drive on one side, and a pouch for the USB cord on the other. Everything fits snugly.

Tumi Alpha Bravo Kingsville Deluxe Brief Pack

Tumi Luggage Alpha Bravo Kingsville Deluxe Brief Pack, Black, One SizeFirst off, yes, it's an expensive backpack, but it's a Tumi. Since it's a Tumi, I expect years and years of service from it. The bag is made from their signature ballistic nylon so it should last decades like my luggage. The fit and finish are superb on this bag. All the zippers were protected for shipping so the bag was flawless on arrival. It is a very nice looking bag, the photos don't do it justice. There is a protected slot for a laptop, one for an iPad, one for what could be a netbook or file folders, a generous main cargo area and numerous side and front pockets, one of which includes a key hanger. I found the iPad slot didn't work for my iPad with its Jobi Ori cover, but the netbook sized slot worked fine. 15" laptop also fit fine. This bag will carry clothes for an overnighter in the main cargo area. There is a water bottle holder. The bag fit great in an airplane's overhead bin and under the seat.

All in all, it's a Tumi so it is functional, good looking, and will last nearly forever under hard use.

Update 3/16/2013:

Still looks great, and I am still glad I purchased it. In fact I just bought another as a gift.

I use this bag to carry my important stuff when I travel, and it is close to perfect.

The laptop sleeve inside is sized to best fit a laptop the size of a MacBook Pro or similar laptop. These days when I travel I carry an UltraBook sized laptop (a Lenovo Yoga 13), and there's plenty of room for that. You could probably squeeze in a thick laptop, but I think it may stress the lining a bit. There is another pouch opposite the laptop sleeve for carrying a tablet or second laptop. I stick my iPad in there.

One surprise I had is that there is no extra padding in the bottom of the laptop sleeve, so you can't slam the bag down hard on ground. It's less of a problem if you laptop uses a SSD hard drive, but for regular "spinning" hard drives, you need to be careful. Tumi should add some gel padding in the bottom of the laptop sleeve in future generations of this bag.

The materials are excellent (as I would expect) and it has survived many trips so far without a hitch. One of my favorite aspects of this bag is that it doesn't balloon outward as you pile in a lot of stuff. Other packs I've owned grow horizontally, sticking out further and further from your back, which is a problem when traveling. This one keeps its shape well. The two wide vertical stripes you see on the front of the bag are made from the same material as a seat belt (it seems to me), so maybe they help to keep the bag from getting misshapen when full. It all looks and works great.

The drink holder pocket (on the right side of the photo) is deep enough to hold a 1 liter SmartWater bottle. If you put a small water bottle in there, it sinks down so low you might forget it's in there.

I recommend this Tumi pack to anyone looking for a great-looking bag that can handle a lot of daily use, while keeping its shape nicely. Well worth the extra money you pay for a Tumi.

to be fair the review is about the brand and not on this specific backpack.

I bought a TUMI backpack after a recommendation from a friend that mentioned there is life time warranty on it (to justify the 200$ price tag).

I decided its a good deal since I was confident I will be able to keep this bag our of harms way as far as external damages.

4+ years gone by the bag started to show some chewing done by the teeth of time from normal use and I decided to go to your friendly neighborhood TUMI store, pay a fee of 15$ for the shipping to TUMI "labs" in order to get the bag fixed or replaced. got a letter a week later asking me to contact them in 30 days or they ship the bag back "as is". (no phone call follow up god forbid in spite of the fact they get all your details when you ship it back).

the lady informed me the model I had only covered by warranty for 3 years... and other than that they cant repair the bag damage.

the only option the way they see it is for me to purchase another back at a discount.

now all that was good and nice if it was the redbull bag I bought in Thailand at 2001 for 10$ (that didn't have any damage since then by the way) but its a 200$ investment we talking about here.

the lady kindly corrected me it was 189$..

of course the fact I bought the bag in Manhattan in which you pay sale tax is not something TUMI cares to much about.

I let her know they can throw the bag and that I will make sure not me or anyone else I know will purchase their overpriced bags again, and its not because the product is not good I honestly liked it while I used it but because a company that charge so much premium for a mass manufactured product has no right to exist with this type of service.

so if you are about to buy a TUMI product I implore you to factor this incident in your decision and learn from my experience.

All the Best

This is a really cute packable backpack. It is made of the usual Coach materials with the satin lining. The Coach tag is sewn inside also, an original Coach product. The straps are nice and adjustable. The pull enclosure is nice and tight. I have to admit that I was surprised with it. With packable things, you expect the cheaper materials. When carrying any weight, this bag won't stay in a position that's conducive to bike-riding. It would need a waist strap to stabilize it and keep it from flopping forward. When carrying very little, it's a nice size. I use it as a gym bag, but since I like to ride my bike to the gym, I'll probably be looking for a new one.

I recently received the blue combo Volcom Purma backpack. It has a good amount of storage and would be good for middle schoolers and high schoolers. If you are using this pack to for carrying you surf supplies, it has a fin pouch, wax and wax comb pouch, a place for your keys and phone, and a main compartment. This is a great pack with lots of padding so you can wear it all day. Very good buy.

My Daughter loves her backpack. The strap broke, but it was because it was not sewn properly. The other side is really strong and holding up well. I just sewed the side that was not sewn properly and she is still carrying it around and swinging it like before.

VicTORIous "Make it Shine" Backpack

Nickelodeon Victorious BackpackZipper broke w/ in the first week of my kindergartener using it. We had to go buy ANOTHER backpack and of course there were no Victorious backpacks left after school started, so she was pretty disappointed and her lunch box doesn't match her bag now either :(

I got this for my 7 year old for her birthday and she loved it. The back pack looks really nice and is of great quality...much better quality than the character back packs I have gotten for my kids from walmart or target.

Littlelife Runabout Toddler Daypack

Littlelife Runabout Toddler Daypack, PinkI'm sure Littlelife had every intention to be kind to toddlers by preventing parents from overloading them. From that standpoint, this pack fits its billing.

The dimensions listed (9 x 7 x 2 inches) are mostly accurate, except that the pack is slightly hump shaped, so the two-inch interior depth tapers down towards the top.

For an 14 to 18 month old who wants to help, this pack would be perfect: padded "just right" on the straps and back, quality materials and durable construction to survive a little rough handling and dragging, plus the leash...

However, for our 34 inch tall, 30 pound, not-quite 2½ year-old, it was obviously too small as soon as we opened the package.

What will the Littlelife hold? We were hoping he could carry his knit nap blanket in it, but it's necessary to literally stuff it in (the blanket is about 2x3 feet). Two or three board books, or a small lunch, or a hat and a pullover all are about the ideal sized load. And actually, that's not bad for day-tripping. But is it smaller than a bread box? Definitely -it's too small to hold an average sized loaf of bread (cut me some slack -trying to think of some common frame of reference).

I'll next try a Wildkin Pack 'n Snack Backpack, which has roughly twice the capacity. Undecided if the Littlelife will stick around (possibly in anticipation of our youngest son using it once he's of the right age and ability), or if it's going back. I definitely like everything about this Littlelife except for the capacity.

This is an adorable little backpack, perfect for my two-year-old. When it arrived I thought it would be way too small. It looked doll-sized, but when I put it on my little man it filled his back. Any bigger and I think it would be cumbersome. I was able to put his lunch and toy tractor in it and I had room to spare. The size specs on Amazon didn't seem to match the Littlelife website so I was worried Amazon was selling an older/smaller version (I don't know if one actually exists), but the bag I received seemed to match the slightly large dimensions from the manufacturers website: 4½x6¾x10¼". It is largest at the bottom and then tapers up, but that size seems to suit the body of a little toddler. Overall, I'm pleased with the size and the quality.

I bought this backpack before my son (almost 2 yrs old) and I took our first plane ride. I was worried about how to handle him and my luggage through the airport. This backpack was great! It made him feel like a "big boy" with his backpack on and I was able to keep him close to me in the busy airport. He didn't even notice that I had the strap attached to his backpack. Allowing him to walk through the airport made it so he WANTED to sit once we got on the airplane. My only "complaint" about it is I wish the handle was retractable vs the fixed vinyl strap. The backpack is big enough to hold a diaper or two, some wipes and a few snacks. It fits him just perfectly, not too big or too small, with a firm clip in the front. Very cute design! Highly recommended!

We commute to work/daycare by public transit. At one end of our commute is a 0.5 mile walk through parks and busy streets. Our son, who is now 2 years old, has become increasingly independent. He wants so very badly to walk with us rather than riding in the stroller. But expecting a 2 year old to walk that entire distance and constantly hold your hand isn't reasonable. He wants to explore, to touch the world around him, to stoop down to inspect a ladybug. The constant push and pull of trying to keep him safe when we crossed busy streets but letting him walk on his own when we're somewhere safe was taxing on all of us. So we took a chance and ordered him this little backpack.

Wow what a payoff!

He's thrilled to be carrying his own lunch just like mommy & daddy, we feel comfortable letting him walk beside us without having to always hold hands because the tether strap keeps him from going more than a few feet from our sides.

The pack is very well made with the same sort of details that go into an adult sized pack. The materials are of good quality with a well made zipper and beefy nylon fabric that won't wear out any time soon. The chest buckle keeps the straps firmly in place on his little shoulders as well as turning the pack into a harness that he can't get out of on his own. I looked before buying and most of the other toddler with a parent tether strap don't have the buckle to keep your kid from slipping out of the shoulder straps and taking off across a street without you. The inside of the bag is just big enough for our son to carry a 12oz kid sized Nalgene Tritan full of milk, a 12 oz insulated Thermos for his warm lunch, and a small plastic box with some fruit and pretzels in it.

All in all, I expect we're going to be getting a couple years of use out of this great little bag before he outgrows it and passes it on to a younger sibling!

I just bought this for my 2 1/2 year old. He was excited because of the little back pack. He loves it and wants it on everytime we go out. However, there are quite a few issues with this. Where the leash attaches, it's VERY easy for your child to merely turn around to look at you, and the leash will wind up wrapping around their necks. Second, the whole backpack/harness will start riding up over the chest area and becomes uncomfortable. THIRD, the shoulder straps cut into his neck bad. He had red welts on his neck from the straps. Not a good product, do NOT recommend at ALL.

Humantoolz Ultra Portable Lap Desk for 10-13 inch Netbooks - Silver Top and Black Bottom (SLD100B)

Humantoolz Ultra Portable Lap Desk for 10-13 inch Netbooks - Silver Top and Black Bottom I searched exhaustively for a good 13.3" laptop desk, and this is literally the only decent one on the market.

It's extremely lightweight, sleek, and well made. Highly recommend this!

I bought this product for a very reasonable from Amazon.com, and I like this product better than most lap desks. When you got to an office supply store, you have pay at at least $30, mine cost only 3. It was difficult to find this product anywhere else. Amazon.com had it, some others don't.

This lap desk is the right size for a Chromebook, but the surface isn't textured enough to keep it from sliding.

Overall it is a decent product. It was much more flimsy than I had anticipated, in that it flexes very easily and the thin (metal?) layer on top can easily be dented. The top also does not offer much grip, but hopefully you device would cover that base. Not bad at at under $15, but at $20+ I would be less inclined to purchase.

Nice, but a little too flexible. You have to support the lap desk supporting the electronics (in this case an iPad 1).
