Targus Demolition Backpack Designed to Fit up to 17.3-Inch Laptops TSB220US (Black)

Targus Demolition Backpack Designed to Fit up to 17.3-Inch Laptops TSB220USThere are fancy, professional notebook carriers, and there is the functional rugged kind that you know can take a licking and keep on ticking. This is the later kind that can also sub as the former. Yes, I realize there are designer pretty professional looking and quality products too, that men and women have been using for years to travel across the world and back, lugging to their offices. A lot of those can lose some functionality. Some of those designer wares are very nice I am sure, but I actually own a Targus that I dragged around Tokyo with me and to training in Wisconsin and found it worthwhile. Compared to this, my old Targus a little dated though. Kind of difficult to get my aging dell in and out of at TSA checkpoints, and not as comfortable against my back. My older backpack also limits me in terms of size on the notebook although it accepted my oversized battery just fine.

Here's the thing with this backpack, it's rugged. This isn't just an item I would feel comfortable taking with me on a trip to an airport and then a hotel. I could throw this thing in the back of a van, pick-up or car and head out camping and feel comfortable that my items, notebook, tablets, mp3 player, mobile phone, and heck even a place for my water-bottle would be fine. Deluxe is an understatement. This has compartments, mesh pockets, zippers, and padded areas for almost everything here. I am kind of the same way with my backpacks as I am with my purses. I do not want a place to throw everything into a giant hole to dig through it later. I want, I need compartments for everything. This has a place for everything! and more padding than I have ever seen in a backpack.

Let's be honest here, I am a sizable lady, and this fits me well. I could, and have, filled this up and had it sit comfortably on my shoulders with the weight properly distributed. I am, obviously, not going to run a marathon in this thing, but I have lugged it around over, shall we say, not flat surfaces and found it comfortable. And when I said it has a spot for your tablet, I am not kidding. It has a padded sleeve to stick an e-reader or tablet separate from the notebook protected area. There are spots for pens, credit/business cards; it says you can use the zippered pocket for water bottles but smaller ones fit in the mesh pouches too. It's designed really well. With my older Targus bag, you could get a lot into it but good luck getting it out, especially on a plane after you pull it from under the seat and are trying to maneuver around the coach sized area to get a book out or that magazine you crammed in there somehow but is now stuck underneath your purse you had force down in there.

I really love this bag.

There are a couple of cautions though I have to mention. This is a sizable backpack, has to be to get those 17inch notebooks in there, but you have to be more cautious about not overfilling it if you are going to take it on a plane and want to stick it under a seat. It has a nice slimmer top design so if you are paying attention at all, you should be able to manage. The other issue is that the more TSA friendly notebook compartment lacks the Velcro strap I am used to, so if you whip this thing around, silly I know, with it unzipped and open, it's coming out same with anything else you put in the non-zippered compartments, or Velcro pouches.

Lastly, the bottom of the backpack is water-resistant, not your standard affair in many backpacks and fairly strong against rips so far. The zippers feel hefty and aren't hard to work or feel likely to snag or get stuck. It's made in China, but it is clearly a quality product. The anti-shock pad at the bottom, it's labeled, feels pretty thick and likely to absorb some impact, say if you drop it suddenly or set it down too quickly. You can also fold it upward if you want to or need to make your backpack thinner.

Finally for business purposes, it looks nice, has a location to hold your files to keep them from getting folded or otherwise damaged and pretty much unisex with is all black design. Whether you are traveling for business or just jamming your car for a family/friend trip, this would make life just a little easier for traveling and protecting those electronics you spent so much buying so don't skimp on padding.

This is a huge bag that is well constructed. The bottom is a leather material and allows the bag to stand up by itself (more or less). The stitching appears to be good quality and pockets are plentiful.

Unfortunately, I had to return it since my Asus Republic of Gamers series 17.3" G74SX-XN1 "notebook" doesn't fit in the padded laptop area. It's about an inch too narrow to account for the additional heat exchanger the Asus notebook has sticking out of it's back. Which is too bad, because i really like the look and feel of this bag.

Going to try the Targus Drifter II to see if it fits in there...

I got the Targus Demolition Backpack to replace my old one, and what a great difference it makes. It's the perfect everyday backpack for a geek who can't leave home without a few gadgets. Yes, I tried to use only one device, but I can't help myself, I must have my stuff, because I use each for different tasks.

It has plenty of pockets and dedicated compartments for organizing one's value possessions. No more rummage into a backpack at the most inconvenient times.

The two front compartments in this backpack are a great plus. One is scratch-resistant and padded to facilitate the pulling or storage of a Smartphone and/or a Kindle, or any other gadget one needs handy. And the other, comes with slots to put in an ID and debit cards for secure storage, but quickly access.

So in the end, I'm carrying inside of it my Smartphone, my netbook, my Targus slim lap desk, an iPad inside an iMainGo XP portable speaker case, a mouse, a portable rechargeable battery pack, USB flash drives, and if I'm traveling with my kid, her iPad will join all of these gadgets. And of course, the corresponding chargers for every device.

The Targus Demolition Backpack will work great as a traveling bag too. When the inner lower panel is set, makes it more roomy, and it can accommodate clothes for a weekend and some personal toiletries. I'm taking it with me the next time I travel to New York to visit my family. It might be the only bag I ever need.

Having two water bottles holders is awesome, because when I travel with my daughter, I must hold her bottle too. By the way, behinds the holders, there is a zippered compartment to storage an small umbrella or anything else.

Besides all of the above, another of my favorite feature is the padded shoulder straps that joined with the waist buckles facilitates carrying any load one puts inside.

I thought this bag was alright when I got it (I really like the side pockets, they are massive) but I have only been using it for about a month and already the seams are ripping at both shoulder straps and the carrying handle. I am not overloading it at all and carried everything I am carrying now plus an extra laptop and all its accessories in another laptop backpack for the last four years. I need it to hold out for one more trip and then it looks like I will be trying to return this and buying something else. I will not be buying another one of these.

Some of you are probably smarter than I am and looked at the measurements on this bag and thought "That's pretty big." I didn't really take those into consideration--and have found this thing to be enormous.

However, you can see the pockets and sizes on the product description. I'll say this: I found all to be as advertised. Pockets everywhere, large sleeve in the back for a laptop, slightly sleeve for a tablet. I was able to load in: laptop, Kindle Fire, Kindle, Franklin Planner with the whole year's calendar, a 3-inch 3-ring binder full to capacity, 4 other hardcover books, and all the pens, pencils, highlighters, and note cards I needed for a graduate school project.

Now, how about its sturdiness? I cannot spare a laptop to learn if the bag has good padding, but I can give you the "egg carton test" results: when dropped straight down from my back to the floor, no eggs were damaged. When dropped on the couch and allowed to roll to the floor, no eggs were damaged. When it hit the ground on the curb, a few eggs were cracked.

So, my conclusion is that the normal tosses and hard-set-downs this bag will get will not damage the laptop in it.

In my effort to reduce animal testing, I have not seen whether I can put all three of my cats inside, but I believe they would all fit. Whether the zipper would hold under those conditions remains untested.

I can see where the reviewer that mentioned the grab handle rubbing against your neck could have that problem--if you look at the product picture, that loop sticking up? That's flattened down and is right between the shoulder straps. It doesn't bother me, but it could bother you.

Beyond that, if you need to carry a week's worth of supplies plus a laptop, this bag is worth the look.

Everest Junior Backpack

Everest Junior BackpackIt's a super cute pack and I thought it would be the perfect size for my 5 year old. However, it's a little too small it won't even fit a standard folder inside without bending it. And I was disappointed in how cheap the fabric feels. It suspect it won't last longer than half a school year. But hey, it was under ten bucks.

It is a Perfect size for my needs..Just big enough for the iPad too with an extra pocket in front. Love it.

Moroccan Straw Summer Beach / Shopper / Tote Shoulder Bag 21" X 13"

Moroccan Straw Summer Beach / Shopper / Tote Shoulder Bag 21' X 13'I bought this sort of thinking it'd be like a tote or large purse (yes, I know it says the dimensions on the descritpion, I'm bad with numbers.) Anyway, it actually has more in common with a wicker basket you might keep in the corner of the room for magazines or cat toys or something. It would probably make a good beach bag or market bag. Also, as soon as I opened the box, the entire room was flooded with the scent of freshly mown hay.

I had a straw basket similar to this one that lasted me 8 years of heavy beach/travel use. (it was a martha stewart product with a canvas liner and very short twine handles-the twine handles have finally unraveled). My only complaint about my old bag was the handles weren't sturdy and i really wished i had long shoulder straps instead of short handles. Well, THIS bag is AWESOME. Same handwoven quality durable basket, with the perfect leather sturdy shoulder straps I always wanted. I think this bag might even be a little larger than the measurements listed. This bag is not lined but that is no big deal, i think i like it better that way! :)

YOU WILL NOT REGRET THIS PURCHASE, FANTASTIC ITEM. I am sure i will have at least a decade's worth of travels and beach excursions with this one!

I wrote a review for this product previously (it was exactly the same as this, but with confetti colors woven in it). After my bad review, the seller removed that product and introduced the same as a new product, so I am posting my review here too. I have been told by an Amazon representative that I should report sellers who do that, and that it is a violation of their agreement with Amazon.

My review read:

In two places on the bottom of the bag, finish knots were poorly executed and were coming undone. The very first time I put anything in the bag, and used it for the beach, they were destined to become holes and render the bag useless. There were also some long gangly strings hanging from the bottom of it. For the price, you would think they would trim those off for the buyer... honestly, I saw straw bags that were nicer than this for nineteen dollars at Target and TJ Maxx.

Finally, the bag had a gross odor. It was obviously the leather, but as you all know, new leather can smell good, or it can smell like chemicals, or it can just smell like dead animal. This smelled like dead animal. Immediately when I opened the box, the smell hit me in the face and triggered my asthma and chemical sensitivity. I'm guessing that sitting out in the pouring rain for an hour caused whatever smell it had to morph... the product was pretty damp (see delivery comments below).

All in all, I think this is a cheap product. It's the kind of thing that you can probably buy from a street vendor in Morocco for three bucks.

Just a note about the delivery service. I rarely pay for shipping, opting to use free Super Saver whenever possible. I broke down and paid this time... FedEx showed up instead of UPS. They are well aware of my house and where to deliver, and for those who don't know, I have signs clearly posted. FedEx chose to ignore my signs, and left the package on my deck in the pouring rain. Had the carrier walked just another two feet, he could have left it under the roof on my deck, and protected my shipment. I was rather angry when I found my soggy package out there. I receive a lot of packages, and that's the first time in many years that anyone has left a package out to be ruined.

Luckily it was only out there for a little over an hour before I found it. Otherwise the product would have been completely ruined.

I am requesting a refund and sending this back. Hopefully they will refund the shipping charge too. What a waste of my time and energy this was.

To add insult to injury, when I contacted the vendor with my complaint, all I got back was a very curt email... a one-liner of "I will send you a return label so that you can send the product back to the seller." That's it. No, "We're so sorry you were disappointed with our product," no "let us try to make you a happy customer," NOTHING. Like they couldn't care less about me and my bad experience. I buy a LOT of stuff online, and yeah it is a crap shoot as far as what you're going to get... but oftentimes you are pleasantly surprised. Other times, you just can't believe how little a seller cares about you... and this is one of those times. Had they handled it differently, I might have tried an exchange. But getting attitude made me go right out and buy something different, and I won't look back.

I don't usually upload pictures of my bad experiences, but getting that curt email really ticked me off and made me want to go the extra mile to protect others from going through this unnecessary aggravation.

P.S. Got the return label on 6/25/11. FedEx again... Grrrr... the closest FedEx shipping location is a ten minute drive each way, in horrendous traffic. Usually the traffic in that part of town is so bad that it takes me 20 mins. each way. I can't used the closer self serve locations, because the box is too big. I am NOT a happy camper over this order!!!! The least they could have done is to issue a FedEx pickup for me, and I would have had one small good thing to say about this experience!

Ricardo Beverly Hills Luggage Mariposa 20 Inch Duffel

Ricardo Beverly Hills Luggage Mariposa 20 Inch Duffel, Expresso, MediumI wasn't sure if it was going to be the size I needed, or if it would be too big. BUT it is exactly what I wanted. I don't like taking one of the carry-on size suitcases, I like to check luggage for all my clothes, but I still need a carry-on bag big enough to fit by 17" laptop, books, layers for the cold flights and to hold items I'd usually put in my purse. This bag can fit all that, it's the perfect size. The material looks like it will be durable enough to last a long time, the color is not too bright, and I cannot wait to use it!!

I spent a lot of time deciding to buy this bag. I needed a carry-on bag for travel that could work for international flights with smaller overhead bins. I also didn't want a roller-bag because for these long trips I have been taking 2 checked bags, which would leave no free hands for a third roller-bag. I thought this was a big enough bag that it could hold a lot, without being too large. The shoulder strap seems sturdy, so it seems like it will work nicely. When it arrived, I discovered it also has a special pocket on the side that you can use to slide over the handle of a larger roller-luggage so it won't fall off sideways when you're walking! I didn't even realize it had this feature, but I think that will come in handy. Also, the Espresso color is just what I wanted, the color looks exactly like the picture. Looking forward to traveling with this new bag!

Dakine Girls Wheeled Duffle Bag

Dakine Women's Wheeled Travel Duffle Bag, 58-Liter, SavannaI absolutely love the design. The space is very nice I am so excited to take it on a trip with me.

I got this bag for my girlfriend as a gift and she loves it. The colors are vibrant and very attractive. We have taken it on a couple of trips now and it holds up very well. The thing she likes most about it is how much the thing holds. I am confident that any woman would not have an issue running out of space with this bag. Only thing to watch out for is weight limits on a flight...this thing can get over the 50lb limit very quick.

I bought this for my daughter as she goes on a lot of trips with the girl guides, she needed something that fits boots, jackets, clothing and whatever small camping gear she has to bring.

This fit the bill. Not only does it fit everything she needs, I can also pack her pillow inside the bag. The middle compartment is HUGE and fits just about anything inside. The two side compartments are great for toiletries or small items you need quick access to.

Since I've used Dakine products myself for years and they'll still in wonderful condition I have no doubt this will last her a long long time.

I have the Dakine Freestyle Snowboard Bag in flourish as well and I loved the pattern so I bought this bag too. It isn't as spacious as I anticipated considering how large the actual dimensions are, but it is definitely large enough to pack everything you need comfortably for a long weekend of snowboarding. If you don't have a lot of odd shaped objects (shoes, hairdryer, etc.) it would work for longer trips as well. The pattern is just noticeable enough to be cute without being obnoxiously Vera Bradley. Great bag!

Fireman Sam 'the Hero Next Door' School Bag Rucksack Backpack

Fireman Sam 'the Hero Next Door' School Bag Rucksack Backpack - 30 x 23 x 14 cm 11.8 x 9.1 x 5.5 InchOnce again I am very pleased with my purchase from Amazon. The Fireman Sam Backpack as made my grandson very happy, and he will have many days, weeks, months, and years to enjoy it .

A school folder wont actually fit inside this. If your child only needs to bring a snack and maybe something else small to school with them it would be fine, but its really too small for any real school use.

Construction is average. Since my son couldnt use it for school he uses it to play sometimes and its showing signs of wear and tear pretty readily.

The best use for this would be for play and maybe pre-school where your child is only bringing snack and tissues to school or something.

Mountain Hardwear Scrambler TRL 30 Pack

Mountain Hardwear Scrambler TRL 30So far I enjoy it. It wasn't exactly what I thought it would be but I think it will do exactly what I need. The padded straps aren't that padded and the hip belt is kinda silly I wish I could take it off. But all in all I think I could hold about a weeks worth of clothing in there.

Dakine Campus Backpack

DAKINE Campus Backpack, 33-Liter, NebulaAmple room, sturdy zippers, padded shoulder straps ... all these things are incorporated into this backpack. Many backpacks are flimsy and/or small. Not so this backpack. A little pricey, but if she uses this through college, it was worth it.

I bought this backpack after I noticed my old one was breaking down. I have not used it yet, but I can already tell that this one will last me a long time. It is durable and of great quality. My friend has a backpack of this brand, and it has lasted her for years!

STM Bags Convoy Medium

STM Convoy Medium laptop BackpackWhen I first started looking I really liked this thing and all the features, but since I wanted it for when I ride my motorcycle I've experienced the downsides of the bag. I wish my experience were more positive, specially since I paid almost $80 for a backpack, but the features are all good-natured however they seem to have fallen flat.

When it was delivered it didn't have the attached key fob piece inside the front compartment, but I didn't think that made a big difference so I thought I'd try it out. The "fits most 15" laptops" claim is pushing it a bit. The 'hidden' compartment for the laptops has the same curve as the top outside of the bag, but is a smaller diameter, which means my 14" Toshiba felt as if it barely fit. Having the built-in rain cover is nice, but it creates some annoying lumps at the bottom of the bag which means a non-flat surface for books and laptops to rest on. I thought about taking it out to refold it, but I could tell it was so rigid I didn't want to even mess with it. The cell phone pocket looks like it would fit one of the old Nokia's, but I didn't even try to put my Droid in it as I knew there was no chance it's not very wide of a pocket. The side pockets might be able to fit a small 16oz. water bottle, but not much bigger. The biggest thing was that the chest strap broke on me the first day I tried to ride with it. I need that chest strap to help keep the weight spread evenly on the shoulders and it's not sewn onto the shoulder straps, it has a small piece that will let it slide up and down. It didn't take much pressure to make it pop off. I could try to put it back on, but I'd rather have my $80 back and keep riding with my rucksack. I can also see how the other person mentioned their buttons popped off. The way they're attached is really good, but potentially loose.

If you just want a nice backpack with great features for commuting to school or work by car, foot, or metro, this would be great. When I ride my bike I need to pack whatever bag I'm using pretty full, and this just doesn't seem to fit my needs, which is sad cause I thought it would give me what I needed.

Side-note: the description for this bag is vague (mentions olive in the title but black pic and describes it as black). I contacted STM and just so you know the model number ending in -1 is Olive and -3 is the black one. The title is correct in this case.

great backpack, really. Comfy, has awesome perks like a an anti-rain coat that you can pull out as needed. However, the buttons on mine, two of them, fell out within the first week of wearing it.

This is a great computer bag. It has plenty of room to carry extras. It has plenty of padding for protection. Also, if you must carry it in the rain, it has a rain cover built in on the bottom of the bag. Just pull it out of the compartment and stretch it over the bag.... neat.

I got the black one, back when it was $45 bucks. I took it through college and I beat the living hell out of this thing. It routinely carried my 16" laptop (said only up to 15"), 400+ page heavy text books, my food for the day, a hoodie, and my tech gadgets and cords.

This one day, I was having a bad day at college. Stuff was just going down hill all day. I locked my keys in my car, so I set down my backpack and dealt with that. I ended up running my backpack over with my car. Like I said... it was just a bad day. The pack survive without a scuff, but my Cheetos were crushed. Luckily, I had forgotten my laptop that day as well... *oi.*

I was only able to use the built-in rain poncho thing once. It worked, but what am I supposed to do with the thing when its wet? Stuff the wet covering back in the bottom? That's unpractical, it will soak through the bottom and get my stuff wet. It doesn't go back in that easily. Also, when I have some weight in the pack, maybe it's just me, but the shoulder straps cut off the blood circulation to my arms. I can't wear the full pack for more than 10min. without having to put my thumbs between my shoulders and the straps. The tops of the shoulder straps need to be wider and softer or something maybe. (I do carry a lot of stuff. lol.) Another thing; the iPad Org Board thing it comes with is pointless for me.

I love the two pockets on the sides, they hold 2 water bottles very nicely. There are literally pockets for everything! The zippers and snaps are mega industrial too.

Oh yea, let me tell you this one; the so called 'hidden' laptop compartment, must work very well indeed. The darn thing got me in trouble at the airport because I emptied out my pack before I went through baggage check, and I, myself, forgot to take the laptop out of the hidden part, because it was hidden! They sent it through the x-ray conveyer and were not to happy about that. Good or Bad? I don't know.

Anyways, this pack is super convenient for day trips and vacations. The downside is that my wife won't be seen with me wearing it, because she thinks it makes me look homeless...

...so I still have the backpack after about 2 years. It's still as tough as it ever was, and I'm quite happy that I purchase it. I have since stopped toting around my laptop and got myself an iPod Touch and downsized my pack to the "Mossimo Supply Co. Maya Twill Backpack Olive" backpack from Target, which this new pack is nice and stylish, but keeps ripping at the seems, unlike my reliable STM pack.

Want STM Bags Convoy Medium Discount?

I jsut got this bag today and its pretty slick. The pull out rain cover is awesome and pretty snug, and there is a tuck away waist belt in the back lining. Its also pretty rugged, the laptop portion (the large back one) is lined with what feels like plastic sheets, the rigid kind, so that makes me feel pretty good when i put computer or xbox stuff in there.

only thing though is it says the laptop thing is hidden... well it sorta is but don't count on someone going through your bag and missing it. Its pretty obvious where it is, but it can kinda tuck away under the zipper flap. Other than that the pads are thick and its an overall rigid construction. thanks stm.

Zebra Hot Pink Garment Bag

Zebra Hot Pink Garment BagThis clothes bag is better for teens or overnighters as I wouldn't recommend it for hard core travelers or long trips, as I travel a great deal and I am going to bust this bag. There are slots for shoes, but only one end will hold a pair larger than a size 8, and you can only get 3 pair of shoes in the bag at best. Forget boots! The bag is obviously feminine, and we tend to pack extra clothes `just in case' and this bag does not allow for `just in case'. This bag doesn't hold but maybe 3 days worth of clothes even if you are using Joy Mangano Hangers. There is a large enough pocket on the side to have a name embroidered on the side however, so I think I'll have my teenage daughter's name put on the bag........

This is a totally cute garment bag! It was a gift for my daughter; she is a twirler and loves it! Very stylish too.

STM Medium Revolution Backpack, Fits Most 15" Screens, Carbon/Black

STM Medium Revolution Backpack, Fits Most 15' Screens, Carbon/BlackThis bag is a great bag for the price. It has alot of space to put tons of stuff. I actually put 2 laptops and adapters in this bag already but the only reason that I put 4 stars is because its straps aren't strong enough to hold the weight of both.

But then again I have an Asus Republic of Gamers G53JW-XA1 and that's alot of weight to carry in almost any laptop bag. One other thing to note is that this bag enough to fit a 17 inch laptop. A regular 15 inch laptop fits and has alot of space at the top of the Laptop compartment whilst my Asus ROG G53JW-XA1 fits snuggly into the laptop compartment.

I personally fit my Asus, my Iomega 2TB external hard drive, a 500GB 2.5inch portable hard drive and alot of other stuff into this backpack.

The backpack "rain coat" is neatly hidden away at the bottom of the backpack in a velcro pocket. I don't use the cellphone holder or the 2 bottle holders, but the both seem good and sturdy.

In the main compartment there is a small pocket that I usually keep my Iomega and the portable hard drive. This pocket is located on the "door" for the hidden laptop compartment which is held by velcro. The front compartment is large and has space for alot of things and separate pockets for your pencils, pens and flash drives. There is also another pocket on the outer flap where you can keep other things, I usually keep my wallet there. And there is a small pocket at the front in which you can keep your iPod or other easily scratched electronics or items since it's made of soft material like microfibres.

All in all, I believe that this is a great laptop backpack except for the stitching on the straps which should have been done with stronger threads or catgut or something else that would allow you to support alot more weight such as two laptops which can easily fit in this backpack.

I'd easily recommend this backpack for anyone who is going to use it for the transport of any laptop, just ensure that you only put one in there, or be very careful when transporting more than one when wearing the backpack.

Also to note, backpack looks exactly as seen in images and delivery time was very short.

Another great item from Amazon :)

I am a college student who has been using this bag at least 5 days a week for the past 4 months. This backpack is great and is holding up perfectly.

The STM Medium Revolution Backpack is ideal for walking long distances with a heavy load, carrying a laptop or iPad, books and notebooks, and even has a front storage pouch for pens, and other smaller accessories like chargers.

Not only is it comfortable, but its large pocket can fit as many as 5 Five-Subject Notebooks along with a laptop, WHILE it still has room in the smaller front pouch for miscellaneous items like calendars, small notepads, pencils, and headphones. The shoulder pads are great, although you do have to break them in a bit, and the padding for your back is the best I've ever seen on a backpack. The two side pouches are great since they let me keep my water bottle and umbrella in a place that is very accessible. One feature that is especially nice is the BUILT-IN RAIN COVER which can be pulled over the entire backpack to protect your valuables if you are caught in the rain (it works really well).

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SMALL BACKPACK, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. This backpack is large, but is perfect if you need to carry large loads.

I had never heard of STM before buying this backpack, but will likely buy another STM backpack when my new STM Medium Revolution kicks the bucket. If this specific bag is not for you, I recommend looking at other products from STM...I hope this helped!

Very nice bag. I first looked at these in a store. I preferred the small size than medium, but with a 15" screen you really need a medium. I wish there was a way to have the small fit a larger screen, but I think because of the amount of padding and the elastic enclosure its pretty much a no-go.

So I went for the medium. I have been very pleased. The only thing missing is more pockets internally. They could have done a better job with say, a pocket for the AC adapter. You really only have 3 pockets other than the laptop pocket. The outside pocket (felt lined, small). The front pocket, which then has the pen holders and such. And an elastic pocket inside of the front pocket. The zipper pocket on the inside of the front pocket is almost useless because anything you put in there becomes a bulge that makes the pen holders and the rest worthless. So yeah, more pockets STM. More organization through more pockets.

But don't get me wrong, it's a really really great bag. I'm just used to more pockets (coming from Targus and Swiss Army they have pockets out the yin-yang). Great bag, would recommend.

I purchased this backpack as my old messenger bag was starting to wear down my shoulder. It's perfect for carrying my MacBook Pro and books back and forth to school everyday. The laptop section is brilliant and fits my 15" laptop well. The pocket just outside it (I think intended for an iPad) makes a good space to store my coiled up powercord.

I think some people have commented on the rather large size of the bag. I'm 5'2", and I have no problem with its size or the way that it sits on my back. However, I can see how some people might be off-put by its bulk. If you're looking for a solid backpack to haul all your many things around places, than I would highly recommend this. Oh, and the the rain cover that it comes with works well too.

This bag would be great, if it weren't so big. I recommend opting for the small version. I ordered this one fearing the small would be too small. This is at least two inches taller and wider than a normal bag which makes it very awkward on your back. Other than the size it is a really well put together bag with really a nice pocket layout.

If you are using this pack to for carrying you surf supplies, it has a fin pouch, wax and wax comb pouch, a place for your keys and phone, and a main compartment. This is a great pack with lots of padding so you can wear it all day. Very good buy.

Piel Leather Flap-Over Button Backpack - Saddle

Piel Leather Ladies Backpack, ChocolateI feel compelled to use backpack style purses for my own health but most are too unattractive or unsafe to use as a professional woman. This is a prettier and certainly more secure option, offering many zippedered compartments.

The leather is great, the bag is attractive. However, if you are looking for something quick, like a ringing cellphone, it is a problem. Small opening in two side pockets, and almost too much liner fabric make it difficult for a quick find. If you don't carry much, this is the bag for you.

this bag is great, it has a small zippered pocket on the outside in the back, perfect for keys, phone etc. The inside has 3 compartments. A big center that is zippered and has another little zippered pocket inside as well, the front compartment has a non zippered pocket for cell phone or small camera, back compartment has no bells a whistles but its great. I can fit a big digital camera inside and still have room for a wallet, keys, and other stuff. Perfect for going out in the city or whatever! LOVE this bag!

this is a very nice size backpack for carrying regular purse items along with lunch too for work each day. The leather is soft; yet sturdy and the backpack feels nice & light on my shoulders even when I overload it a times with soda cans :)

Quick & easy to strap on when I get out of my car each morning.

There are 3 large and 2 small compartments/pockets inside for phone/credit cards, etc.

I also am questioned by others where to buy this for themselves.

Will buy a second one in black for winter too.

I love my new portfolio bag is very soft, elegant and serves to dress casually but by how elegant, this gives the leather and design are modern. The reason why I bought a bag like this is because the portfolios hurt me on the shoulder, being the weight on one side. with this bag I have not had that problem and do not hurt your shoulders and bear the weight better. The only drawback is the small and not easy access to things in space, if you're on the street and you put things or draw is somewhat complicated, it is only fair.

Eagle Creek Packable Daypack

Eagle Creek Packable Daypack, BlackI compared this to NEW Ultralight Travel Daypack / Backpack The Perfect Light Weight Daypack For Sightseeing, Hiking, Biking & Travel Super Durable & Comfortable Yet Only 6.5 oz and believe this is the better product. Its capacity is greater than stated, the fabric and construction is durable, and it folds flat and will fit in my pocket.

I owned the predecessor to this packable day pack -saw it several years ago in a well known bookstore in Portland Oregon and bought it on the spot. Since then, I've retired all my various messenger bags, backpacks, briefcases, etc. in favor of this extremely lightweight, packable day pack. It has held up well over about 3 years, despite nearly daily use and over-packing. Nothing has really failed -there are a few spots where friction on a sidewalk or wall wore some small holes when it hit the dirt with a full load, but its fairly good quality ripstop nylon, so the holes are small and not a concern.

I bought the new version because a disintegrating chocolate bar left inside in the heat is going to require some major cleaning. The latest version is slightly improved -the back pocket (which is slightly smaller than the old version) now has a straight across zipper. The old pocket had a U-shaped zipper that you had to meticulously close at the risk of having things drop out without notice. The main pocket now has a small rain gusset covering the zipper -looks neater although I doubt whether it makes the bag significantly more waterproof. The fabric is non-waterproofed ripstop nylon, so if you drop it in the lake, it may float for a while, but things inside are going to get wet. The shoulder straps are slightly improved and are now made of more breathable mesh.

The best part is that it weighs nearly nothing and will pack into a small zippered pocket the size of a pack of cigarettes. I personally think that it is ridiculous to spend $70 $100 bucks on a day pack that has 17 pockets, a 1 gallon water bottle pocket, and an ice axe loop just to go to the store or to work. If I'm going 15 miles from the trail head and heading for the alpine meadows, sure, I want a technical day pack or better. But for running around town, this is great.

Minor beef: I ordered this in blue, got black instead. Not worth exchanging, but be aware. Also Amazon may be displaying the wrong picture. This does not look like a duffel, but is a day pack.

For years I've taken a light 8-oz 12"x16"x6" Wilderness Experience pack with me on trips as a convenient day pack capable of being rolled up and stored in carry-on luggage. This size is just right for carrying an extra camera lens for my SLR, and adding in a light jacket, lunch, and a pocket umbrella. I've been unsuccessful in trying to replace my 30-year-old pack until recently, when I discovered the Eagle Creek Packable Daypack. It's an exact match in size (12"x16"x6") and has a similar 6"x7" single outer pocket for knickknacks like spare SD cards and camera batteries, lens filters, and small camera accessories. What's better, the Eagle Creek pack only weighs 6 1/2 oz, yet it's very well made of modestly-heavy black nylon fabric with dual high-quality metal-pull Nylon-tooth zippers. I just returned from 5 weeks in India using it every day while touring temples and museums. I found my old pack (same size) also perfect for trekking in Nepal when the porters had our main luggage. So, for both light day hikes and foreign day trips it's a great size...it also easily caries my 10" netbook computer if I want to take it on the plane or to a hotel-lobby hotspot. As an added attraction, the pack has really comfortable mesh shoulder straps...a big improvement on my old pack. Note, however, that the fabric is not waterproof...but neither was my old pack. I highly recommend it as a light travel daypack.

This is a great extra day bag. LIGHTWEIGHT was a priority.

Not good as a full time backpack, that is not what is intended.

Useful for extra stuff or day trips, not a lot of pockets, but good total room inside.

Looks good....most inexpensive day bags look like crap.

Packs into itself, lightweight.

Good price.

Eagle Creek quality.

I like this backpack and it would be perfect if it had a bottle holder on the side.

It is light weight, durable and holds a lot for a day hike.

I have another similar to it by EagleCreek with the bottle holder and didn't notice when I ordered this one that it didn't have it on the side.

These bags last and last and last.

I wonder if I could have one sewn on...maybe when in Asia. It's much cheaper to go to a tailor there.

Eagle Creek, please put the bottle holder back on this backpack!

G.I. Type Heavyweight Canvas Mini Alice Pack, Black or Olive Drab

G.I. TYPE HW CANVAS MINI ALICE PACKS - BLACKThe Good -I was pleased with the amount of gear I could get in this mini pack.

When I stuffed the main compartment full the outside pockets did not flatten out. The pockets are very large. Just for comparison you could still fit a quart mason jar in each pocket. The material seems thick and durable to be as light weight.

The Bad The pack is not as sturdy as what you would expect a soldier to be depending on. Just packing it the first time the metal ends on the straps are pulling off. If the main compartment is full the straps just do reach the buckles. That means you can not over stuff the pack or carry items under the straps like a rolled up pad or your jacket when you hike uphill. I am already looking for someone to add 10 inches or more to the straps.

The main compartment has a draw string through grommets. The material on the inside is unraveling around these holes because the grommets do not cover the holes punched.

All that said.. If you don't mind making a few alterations right away the pack is worth the low price.

The pack arrived today, I am satisfied, I got exactly what the Amazon ad described. It is a mini ALICE pack, similar to the large ALICE pack the Army issued me. I bought the mini ALICE pack for my daily hour and a half ride (each way) on a commuter bus. This pack is the right size, not too big and not too little. I need a bag/pack that will carry my lunch, extra drink cold pack and snack for the way home, diabetes kit, umbrella, DVD player, note pad, Kindle, newspaper, and work materials. This pack will hold all of this and still fit in the overhead rack or under my seat. The main compartment doesn't have unnecessary dividers, so big things go in easily. The pack doesn't have extraneous straps or goofy tie down cords. The side pockets are a good size and easily accessible. The pack is well constructed, not a flimsy kid's pack, and doesn't look like a girly tote bag. This pack will hold up for many years of constant use. Pack is versatile, would also work well for a day hiking or sightseeing, toting your sporting equipment (cleats, team uniform, and water bottle), as a carry on for the airplane, or for a weekend get away. It could be improved with a top strap handle and an interior plastic ID holder similar to the butt pack the Army issued me. The seamstress at my cleaners has a industrial sewing machine and will sew a name tape on for me. Well worth what I paid!!!

Ordered the black type when my last bag broke under the weight of my school books... was a very much affordable and wonderfully basic bag for my needs, despite the fact that I have been hauling books and keys in it instead of camping or hiking gear. Despite being oh-so soft, it very durable, a fact that I love, and I love the designsimple and rugged, a great complimentary look for my own style. It's a deceivingly small bag and it holds a LOT despite how it looksand because of the strap-design, I can reach and grab things in all compartments at ease. The only problem I could foresee with this thing would be if I was hoisted upside down, then things might spill out a bit!

The bad news is that the straps are unwieldy to get around when you HAVE to actually OPEN the compartments up, but you can usually get a nice medium-sized book out of it without having to yank and adjust straps, but trying to change books before and after classes takes a few moments longer than with a normal back pack. Also, because it's all cotton, I dread the first day it rains and I am without my large umbrella; everything's likely to get water logged, judging by its material. Another problem is that the thing looks bizarre when you wear it if it isn't completely filled out. Kinda, I don't know, like it's collapsed.

Despite its downfalls, and the fact that I thought that the material would look the same as it looks in the photo of it (it doesn't look the same, it's all black cotton, not that kind of bluish-gray hue I thought it would look like), I am glad that I ordered it, as it fits my school life like a glove.

I was looking around for a replacement hiking/camping pack that would be reliable yet inexpensive. I kept coming back to this pack, and I finally broke down and purchased it. I have to say that the shipping was speedy, and everything was perfect. The backpack was much larger than I expected, I'm not sure if I have enough stuff to fill it with lol. So, when it says 'mini', its more like ginormous. Granted, I am a small person. Overall, I am really pleased.

Warner Bros Scooby Doo Luggage : School Kid Size Rolling Backpack

Warner Bros Scooby Doo Luggage : School Kid Size Rolling BackpackMy 2 year old daughter LOVES Scooby Doo. This little rolling backpack is perfect for a little girl. It is much smaller than the full-size backpack, but she is only two so it is not oversized for her. She is learning a bit about independence & about taking responsibility for her own things when she packs up and goes to Grandma's house for the weekend. She looks soooo cute rolling this little backpack behind her! I was actually shocked to see the quality on this backpack when it arrived. The embroidery on the front is beautiful and scooby doo is actually furry. I wouldn't miss the waterbottle if it got lost, BUT that is the only "non quality" part of this bag.

We were surprised at the awesome quality of this kids backpack! It is very well made and the colors are bright and vibrant just as the picture shows. My 3-year-old just loves Scooby and there was not much on teh market for a girl. We are very pleased with this backpack and would highly recommend it!

The item was smaller and heavier than I was expecting. It does not fit a standard sized folder. Perfect for taking things to relatives. An adult could use it to hold snacks and water when hiking but it's a little to heavy for a child to carry for long periods of time. It appears to be well made but since it was so small we have not used it for school. I plan on taking it with when we go to the fair next year.

Disney items are overpriced and most are made in China. This item was made in China and there must be no quality control. This item was ordered as a Christmas present in late September and when given to my granddaughter the zipper was broken too late to complain and return. I had to take it to a tailor in order to have it fixed. Another added expense, but she likes it and that is what matters.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. The colors are beautiful and bright and the bag was a really good size for her, she's three. The first bag I received had a bad zipper and it was broke by the end of Christmas day after opening and closing it only a few times. I emailed Amazon and the customer service rep was very helpful and I had no problem with the return. I bought her a second one and this one seems to be holding up well. My daughter takes it with her when she wants to bring her toys along. She is able to wheel it around and even carry it on her back no problem. So far so good with the second bag but the zipper does have a weird curve to it the way the opening is designed so it may eventually break too. It is a great size for toddler, between 3-6 but as far as a book bag for a first grader or older it may be a bit small. Overall I have no complaints.

We used this to be basically a delivery device for a bunch of toys for our five year old on her birthday. I am happy with the seams and the zippers as well as the straps. Good product. The zippers are a little stiff and the squared off corners of the bag are a little difficult to get the zippers around but having said that they are not falling apart like some of the bags out there. This bag is really well made and have no complaints at all. Material is good, fit and finish is good, storage is GREAT and the colors really pop. Thank you for having such a good product in the world of junk. I would buy again if I had to, but I dont think I will have to.

Targus Intersection Vertical Slip Case for 15.6-Inch Laptops (Burgundy)TSS09701US

Targus Intersection Vertical Slip Case for 15.6-Inch LaptopsTSS09701USThere's nothing special about the Targus Intersection Vertical Slip Case and that's what I like. It fits my laptop; it has relatively robust padding; and the material is holding up well (I purchased it a while ago). The only potential downside is the color. I think the color is a little ugly but it doesn't bother me. If color is a concern make sure you like the Burgundy.
