This bag smells really stink will return it and order a fresh one from orginal company for a brand new smell.I was worried I would not like this bag, infact it's perfect. Lightweight, plenty of pocks and the color is a littler more like midnight blue which is way better than what the picture was.This is probably the best tote I've ever had. I'm using it as my purse and extra bag (cause there's always an extra bag for books, tarot cards, lunches, etc.). It rolls so smoothly and I don't have weight pulling down my shoulders anymore. In addition, this baby rolls easily down airplane aisles. Love, love, love it.Brenthaven 2133 ProStyle Lite Backpack for 15-Inch MacBooks /Laptop / Ultrabook - Black
The end result is that the straps have to twist to accommodate the anatomical shape of the wearer's shoulders, and as a result, they displace nearly all the weight of the pack along just the inside edges of the straps. This intense stress concentration on one's shoulders and neck muscles is quite painful, especially if you have 10 lbs (5 kg) of laptop, iPad, chargers, and books in the bag. I wore the bag around for a week while on a trip and it was so painful that I nearly exchanged it for another bag while still on my trip. If you never walk more than 100 paces before you set the bag down, you'll love it. But if you have to walk more than a minute or two with this bag on, it's going to become a torture device, and some massage therapist is going to love you.
To my friends a Brenthaven (a company I truly like): Please seek out outdoor equipment designers in Seattle who really know backpacks (I'm thinking REI, MSR, OR, etc..) to help your luggage designers learn to make proper backpacks. There's lots of knowledge in the industry about how to design packs that displace load well. You'll have to put as much focus on weight displacement as you do on those wonderful fuzzy pockets that protect our iThings if you want to make truly great backpacks.I travel a great deal and need to carry a bit more than the minimum. My standard setup is a carry-on roller bag with a backpack hung onto it, piggy-back style. On the plane, the backpack lives under the seat in front of me, and serves as an excursion bag once I am on site. The Brenthaven 2133 ProStyle Lite is just right for me. It balances nicely on the roller bag and holds my Dell Latitude E6400 easily in a separate compartment. There's an ample center space for files and reading material, and a front section that I use for my Cocoon CPG10BK GRID-IT Organizer, 12 x 8 Inch, Black and all miscellaneous cables, adapters, headphones, etc. The little zip pocket in front is fine for a small amount of quickly stashed flat stuff, like tickets and magazines, so long as they are not quite full-size.

This backpack is slim and does not feel bulky on the back. It fits my mba or 15 mbp just fine. There is a special compartment for a tablet which I use for my ipad. It also fits all the other odds and ends I tend to travel with just fine (mag safe charger, ipad charger, pens, business cards, 3 port power adapter, universal power adapter, mifi) and there is still a lot of room to spare. Everything is organized nicely and items are very easy to get to. I was using a messenger bag for a long time, but switched back to a backpack and am glad I did. This backpack is extremely comfortable and feels sturdy on the back. I could even fit an some spare clothing or a sweatshirt in this no problem. The foldaway water bottle holder is nice touch as well.Great bag, spacious and sleek design.Not for people who like carrying all of their belongings with them.
The bag feels comfortable and fits my macbook perfectly!!If you travel for extended times and you need to carry a lot of gadgets, folders, and so forth, this is a great backpack to do this. I have used it in several trips and I can store in the over head compartments of the smaller airplanes with no issues. It is very well built and the straps are very comfortable to wear.
Deluxe Contemporary Zippered Black Leather Portfolio By BAGS FOR LESSTM
I like the look and feel of the leather exterior. The right side metal edging adds a nice touch that speaks 'class'.
However, the reason this particular portfolio received 4 stars rather than 5 was because the outer zipper closure is cheaply made; a thin metal zipper that could break easily if not carefully used.
Nevertheless, the inside area suits my needs. On the left inside fold is a larger pocket for several documents or perhaps an iPad Mini; a zipper closure area for storing a thin paperback book or 5"x7" notepad; a small removable solar powered calculator; and 3 pockets for business, credit or identification cards. On the right inside is a pocket that can store an 8"x11" notepad. In the center is a small leather holder for a clip pencil or pen. (My portfolio pen holder serves a dual purpose for an iPad highlighting pen and writing instrument.)
The look is sleek and stylish. For the price, the Deluxe Contemporary Zippered Black Leather Portfolio By BAGS FOR LESS is a less expensive alternative for those who want to save some money on their portfolio needs.
As always, please be mindful to research alternatives before choosing your purchase.
Kenneth Cole Reaction Luggage Pack In The Box Computer Case
::: 6-Month UPDATE :::
After 3-4 months of use the shoulder strap started to separate. The seam between the front and back patch of material came open and the fabric is now fraying, leaving the internal padding exposed. As indicated later in this review, the material this pack is made of is lighter duty than I would suggest for a pack with this amount of cargo space. It has not proven to be as durable as I would hope, especially for a bag in this price range.
::: 1-year UPDATE :::
As with other reviewers, the deterioration of this pack has continued to progress. Although, keep in mind that I use this every day and take it pretty much everywhere I go, so a year of that kind of use is pretty hard core. Anyway, one of the side pockets has now frayed open on the bottom so it no longer holds items. The strap is still unraveling, and other seams are starting to look questionable. It is still usable, but it's definitely not been as durable as I'd have liked. I will probably buy another, but still wish I'd found a more durable equivalent (or they'd decided to improve the construction of this one). I agree with the other reviewer, with a price more appropriate to its material quality, it would be more palatable to buy several so you're set for a while.
::: FEATURES & BENEFITS :::
It's a fantastic tool for organizing a huge variety of items. There are enough pockets for each item or category of items to have its own pocket. I have made mine into a mobile office. There are ten zippered pockets accessible externally, three of which contain additional organizer pockets within. Compulsive/tidy organizer-types will LOVE this pack. Double-zippers on most compartments/pockets also add to the flexibility of this pack. And there's a hefty easy-grab carry handle on the top, in a good position so you can lift and carry the bag balanced with one hand. The two main large compartments and the two larger accessory pockets have double-zippers.
Worth mentioning for business users... this pack is wider than most. In fact, the main compartments are nearly square, only slightly taller than they are wide. This means it's wide enough to take a file folder the wide way, with the fold at the bottom so the contents don't spill out! That's the mark of a true business-oriented backpack IMO. However, with the side pockets filled you might find that overall the pack is a bit wider than your torso, which can be a hassle sometimes.
The main (back) cargo compartment has a padded laptop sleeve in the back in addition to more space in the middle, plus a file sleeve in front. The next cargo compartment is nearly the same size and adds more organization, including two pockets meant for computer accessories, one about the size of a CD (it would hold a stack of 3-4 CDs in cases--not that anyone carries those anymore--I use it for the power supply instead). The other is a bit smaller but it fits my travel mug (if I dare to carry it there). I am a little curious why these pockets weren't placed in the compartment with the laptop sleeve since they seem aimed at computer accessories (and they snag other items entering the cargo area so they can be sort of a hassle when inserting larger items like a file folder, legal pad, etc).
The outer layer has a smaller accessory compartment on the top half that I use for kleenex, travel supplies and other items. It would probably fit a small travel umbrella. This compartment has a flat zipper pocket on the front wall as well. Below it is a larger zipper accessory compartment which contains the pen/pencil/phone organizer pockets. I use these to organize my mobile office accessories, and it's up to the task with three layers of flat pockets and three pen/pencil slots (which are big enough for a sharpie marker or fountain pen, or two standard pens/pencils each). I use the several medium and small flat dividers for things like a calendar, calculator, passport, etc. One internal pocket has a key clip dangling inside it, but as with most other packs, the strap is so long that keys end up just resting at the bottom of the pocket (might as well not bother with the strap in that case. I'd prefer the clip to be higher inside the compartment in the corner so keys dangle inside). This compartment also has a flat zipper slot in the outside wall which I use for extra business cards, pencil leads, and other small/thin items.
On each side of the pack there's a square zipper pocket. They're each big enough to fit three decks of cards and a little more to spare. I use these for medication bottles, keys, etc. Each of these pockets also has a flat zipper slot in the outer wall as well, great for handy-wipe packets, shout wipes, etc.
One of the brilliant features of this pack is that the accessory pockets are placed at various elevations inside and around the pack, so everything doesn't just fall to the bottom in all the pockets where they bang into each other. Too many other packs put the bottom of every pocket at the same level so you might as well just be carrying a gunny sack. This pack tiers the pocket bottoms so items in various pockets nestle above and below each other rather than colliding at the bottom.
::: FLAWS :::
The three flaws I've noticed so far are that the back wall of the pack, the one that rests against your back, is not internally stiff enough to hold itself flat against your back. Heavy items inside make the pack curve away from your back so that it tugs backward on the shoulders (instead of downward), making it a bit less comfortable than it could be. Perhaps contributing to this issue is another shortcoming... the exterior fabric is very flexible, so the bag is not stiff enough to hold its shape very well. This makes it a bit more difficult than some other packs to close zippers with one hand, and makes the bag a bit more floppy, especially on the bottom which isn't reinforced or padded at all (with the exception of the laptop pocket which is padded on all sides except the top). I would prefer a bit more structure to the external walls so it held its shape better. One final complaint... the interior pockets inside the larger compartments have a tendency to snag items being inserted into the main space. This is to some degree a natural downside to having internal pockets, but if they had stiffer (or elastic-topped) walls they'd be less problematic. I would probably advocate for one of the full-size compartments to have no internal pockets at all so files, books, magazines, etc would slide in without catching. If I were motivated enough, I could sew them shut inside to reduce the problem, but I'm going to wait a while to see how troublesome it is long term.
And one final wish... some elastic-topped or mesh stretch pockets on the exterior would have been a great way to carry a thermos, water bottle, or umbrella. Above the small side pockets would be perfect spots. (There's plenty of space inside the main compartments for these items, but I'm a bit squeamish about putting liquids inside; experience has taught me not to risk that.) There is a hefty D-ring on the outer front wall, but it's not conveniently placed for anything I'd attach (plus my thermos doesn't have a hanger). Maybe I'll get inspired and add a couple external pockets myself.
::: SUMMARY :::
Other than those few shortcomings, this is a fantastic backpack. It is perfect for the person who wants a special place for each item. Ten zipper pockets plus a dozen or more internal divisions make it an OCD organizer's dream pack. Plus it's an exceptional value for the money, Amazon's price was less than a third of the MSRP and very competitive with alternatives (in fact, quite a bit cheaper than most).The backpack was everything I wanted. Looks business like, lots of useful pockets etc. However, a strap began to separate from the bag within a month of my using it and the bag was not over-stuffed. It is now useless.

It's very sad that the durability of this product is so poor, because I love the design and all the separate pockets. I've had it for all of 4 months now and it's pretty much unusable now. The shoulder straps started to go after about 2 months, then small tears started appearing above the top front section, then at the top of the pack. Now those tears are so big I can't put much more than my laptop in the bag. I would have expected much better quality from and expensive bag from Kenneth Cole. This should go on the TJMaxx Rack for $19.95 so one could buy 4 of them for the same price to last a full year.Liberty Bags - Small Drawstring Backpack

Now we have chocks, and cams, and wired chocks, and fancy harnesses, and helmets (I only wore helmets on loose rock or when Alpine climbing, back in the day) and rope bags, and rope cloths, and belay/rap devices, and cell phones, and digital cameras, and hydration bladders...
Well, these packs carry it all. Tough as they can be! Holds two ice tools each, and two water bottle pockets, too. Padded and divided to spare your back from that Camalot #5...

Ogio Drifter Backpack
I was looking for a bag that I could wear while riding a motorcycle so it had to fit snug to my back. This bag does that, but the feel of the materials makes me think I'll have to replace it in a year. While I don't mind using the backpack, I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.
Pros:
Looks
Padding
Handle
Price
Laptop compartment
Small top pocket
Cons:
Cheap materials
Not water resistant
Straps are long and there's nothing to take up the excess
Handle is too long/tall
Zippers go down into side mesh pocketsAs an avid Ogio buyer, I really liked the design on this backpack and picked it up around December of 2011. Upon receiving it I loved the design, the size/usability of the pockets, and the bottle holders on the sides.
However.. as a student, sometimes this backpack gets pretty packed. On finals week (have to carry around 3 textbooks to cram with), I had to stuff this backpack pretty hard, and by the end of the day one of the zippers on the main pocket stopped working (moves along the zipper without zipping). I was a bit disappointed, but wasn't too surprised since I would categorize that as somewhat abusive treatment of a backpack. However, the smallest pocket, happens to be just the size to hold a bike u-lock! So I had been using it for that purpose for about 6 months, before one of those zippers broke as well. The u-lock definitely wasn't being stuffed into the pocket, and had plenty of space.
Sorry Ogio, I don't think I'll be buying any more of your backpacks.
ShedRain WindPro Mini Umbrella Auto Open & Close
Overall, if you're in need of a good umbrella, this product is the way to go. I bought this umbrella for the "heavy duty" -the gusty, stormy days of NYC. And it arrived just in time for the storm that's flooding the east coast right now. While it does a damn good job of standing up to the wind gusts, it doesn't do as great of job of repelling the heavy rain. The fabric saturates in a heavy squalor and then starts to drip down.
Not a big deal since it stops the bulk of the wet, I'll probably just add a layer of scotch guard to it or something.
Buy ShedRain WindPro Mini Umbrella Auto Open & Close Now
This is a very nice mini umbrella, and does auto open AND close. It has a very thick sturdy shaft, and is made with semi-flexible spars that bend in the wind and prevent the umbrella from becoming a sail. It also has a vent hole on top, so in all it is quite stable in high winds. It is not the lightest umbrella ever, due to its sturdy construction, but it is light and small enough to carry around all the time in a backpack or briefcase no problem. I'm quite satisfied with this product. My only complaint would be that the button is kind of hard to push for auto-close, so if you have a weak grip you might want to try an umbrella with a more sensitive mechanism. On the other hand, this does effectively prevent accidental closures.Read Best Reviews of ShedRain WindPro Mini Umbrella Auto Open & Close Here
I live in New York City, where we're constantly walking, and in need of good umbrellas that can handle wind. I used the GustBuster before, which was great, but wanted a more portable option. I thought this wood be good.The reality is that it doesn't protect from wind much better than a regular umbrella. At winds where a typical umbrella might turn upside down, this one does as well.
I'll keep it as a regular umbrella, as the automatic open and close is very convenient and works well. But when I know there's going to be wind, I'll break out the gustbuster instead.

I lose umbrellas. I leave them everywhere. I have left them in cabs, on trains, and on buses. I leave them at restaurants. Actually, any public place where the chance of recovering a lost item is slim that's where I tend to leave my umbrellas. For this reason, I typically purchase cheap umbrellas. Disposable umbrellas. Ones that would inevitably end up in an umbrella graveyard: jammed into a garbage bin with other umbrellas suffering the same fate...torn material, broken ribs, rusted wires, worn-out handles. Those disposable umbrellas were ones that I wouldn't be upset to leave as a 'gift' to the next commuter occupying my seat on the train.A couple years ago, I embraced a new approach. I bought an expensive umbrella. This ShedRain WindPro one, actually. It was a navy blue colour called Heather, but despite the feminine name I still felt manly whilst using it to shield myself from the elements. I paid around $40, so I figured that losing this umbrella would be more difficult. I would pay attention to its whereabouts, because it was something of value to me. No longer disposable. It is a great umbrella. It's not huge, and is insufficient to fit two people underneath, but it fits nicely in a backpack, not taking up much space, so I can always have it with me. Together with this umbrella, we fought storm after storm. No gust of wind or spray of precipitation could defeat us... Sadly though, Heather met her demise. True to her strengths, she stayed open to the end...but that was her defeat. Her closing mechanism had malfunctioned, and she would not collapse. I was gutted.
I sent an e-mail to ShedRain to try my luck with the lifetime warranty. I had since moved from the US to Australia, so I prepared myself for the anticipated polite, but negative response to my query about a replacement. I expected that the warranty would be void overseas. To my surprise, after describing what had happened, ShedRain indicated that they would replace Heather at no cost not even shipping to Australia. Phenomenal! They indicated that they understood international shipping was expensive, so I wouldn't need to send my broken Heather to Portland. They'd just send me a new one. ShedRain's warranty policy was excellent. Well today, I received the replacement and I can't wait for it to rain. Seriously Mother Nature, if you're reading this review...Bring it.

This backpack is amazing. I finally decided to go for two straps because my messenger bags kept falling apart from weight. It has so much space on the inside, is very sturdy and the padded straps are wonderful.I'd give it 5 stars but there are no pockets for organization. I like to have places for all the smaller things I have to carry around with me but they kind of have to be jumbled together in the front pocket.I was supr excited to get this bag because I loved the look but unfortunately I'll be returning it. First thing I noticed after opening the package was the bright red stripes on the interior lining. While they are noticeable even when the bag is closed they weren't a deal breaker for me. The reason I'm returning is there's a big cut in the bag, as if someone sliced it with a knife. Disappointing after waiting so long for the bag.
