Brenthaven 2133 ProStyle Lite Backpack for 15-Inch MacBooks /Laptop / Ultrabook - Black

I love a lot about this bag. The layout is great. The quality of construction is top-notch. The weight, style, and format were perfect for me. But, unfortunately, this is one terrible backpack. The key flaw is that the shoulder straps are sewn on several inches below the top of the bag along a *horizontal* seam. Picture a person's shoulders and you'll realize, shoulders are not horizontal.

The end result is that the straps have to twist to accommodate the anatomical shape of the wearer's shoulders, and as a result, they displace nearly all the weight of the pack along just the inside edges of the straps. This intense stress concentration on one's shoulders and neck muscles is quite painful, especially if you have 10 lbs (5 kg) of laptop, iPad, chargers, and books in the bag. I wore the bag around for a week while on a trip and it was so painful that I nearly exchanged it for another bag while still on my trip. If you never walk more than 100 paces before you set the bag down, you'll love it. But if you have to walk more than a minute or two with this bag on, it's going to become a torture device, and some massage therapist is going to love you.

To my friends a Brenthaven (a company I truly like): Please seek out outdoor equipment designers in Seattle who really know backpacks (I'm thinking REI, MSR, OR, etc..) to help your luggage designers learn to make proper backpacks. There's lots of knowledge in the industry about how to design packs that displace load well. You'll have to put as much focus on weight displacement as you do on those wonderful fuzzy pockets that protect our iThings if you want to make truly great backpacks.

I travel a great deal and need to carry a bit more than the minimum. My standard setup is a carry-on roller bag with a backpack hung onto it, piggy-back style. On the plane, the backpack lives under the seat in front of me, and serves as an excursion bag once I am on site. The Brenthaven 2133 ProStyle Lite is just right for me. It balances nicely on the roller bag and holds my Dell Latitude E6400 easily in a separate compartment. There's an ample center space for files and reading material, and a front section that I use for my Cocoon CPG10BK GRID-IT Organizer, 12 x 8 Inch, Black and all miscellaneous cables, adapters, headphones, etc. The little zip pocket in front is fine for a small amount of quickly stashed flat stuff, like tickets and magazines, so long as they are not quite full-size.

This backpack is slim and does not feel bulky on the back. It fits my mba or 15 mbp just fine. There is a special compartment for a tablet which I use for my ipad. It also fits all the other odds and ends I tend to travel with just fine (mag safe charger, ipad charger, pens, business cards, 3 port power adapter, universal power adapter, mifi) and there is still a lot of room to spare. Everything is organized nicely and items are very easy to get to. I was using a messenger bag for a long time, but switched back to a backpack and am glad I did. This backpack is extremely comfortable and feels sturdy on the back. I could even fit an some spare clothing or a sweatshirt in this no problem. The foldaway water bottle holder is nice touch as well.

Osprey Packs FlapJill Pack-L

I had a messenger-style bag for my laptop, but I had other things I need to carry, as well. The bag didn't fit everything and was both heavy and awkward. I put everything from the old bag into this one, and it felt like I was barely carrying anything! The "mouth" of the bag is narrow, but you can still get a standard 1" binder in. The laptop area is padded and there are pouches to keep all of my stuff organized. I was concerned about the price, but this bag was worth every penny!

The bag is great but the space is limited. Very different fit than a traditional back pack. This could help or hurt this bag depending on who orders it.

Great bag well built, good materials. I appreciate that it makes me think about what I plan to take with me not so large I can throw everything and the kitchen sink in, but I shouldn't be lugging all of that round, anyway. It holds a large laptop, folder of to-dos, my workout gear, lunch and shoes to and from work. Has just a couple of smaller organization pockets but again, I find I don't really need any more than that. The long slim side pockets (one inside, one outside on the opposide side) would be good for a water bottle or umbrella but I haven't had need of those yet. I love Osprey's lifetime warrnaty can't beat that! And the color choices were nice as I was tired of the basic black. The version does not have a drawstring closure at the top of the main copartment (underneath the flap) previous versions did so if you are looking for that, it is not there. Also no earbud cord keeper along the straps (also seen on a previous version of this same pack), but neither of those are dealbreakers for me. I would definitely recommend this LG size over the 'regular' unless you only plan to carry a laptop and maybe a jacket or something small the LG size isn't THAT much bigger and just allows a bit more flexibility in what you can carry. One more note the bottom of the laptop compartment is not flush with the bottom of the bag, it is suspended just a bit meaning the bottom of your laptop won't be hitting the ground/chair first, etc every time you set it downI think that is good design.

I'm a grad student and wanted a classy backpack. I love this one so much. It's cute and has personality but looks mature. It fits way more than you might expect and the pockets are more than adequate enough for me to fit pens, wallet, glasses, keys, etc. The flap works well and isn't a hindrance. This backpack also does a great job of protecting both my laptop and ipad and doesn't ever feel too heavy. It carried perfectly and feels so comfortable. I LOVE the interchangeable straps. I do wish the pack had a spot for a larger water bottle, but that's not a deal breaker at all. Overall, LOVE this pack a on!!!!!

Mario Brothers 16" Backpack with Detachable Lunch Kit

First off, I bought this for my 6 year old son, who loves Wii and Super Mario. So, when we received this backpack, he was ecstatic! He is thrilled by it. Yet I am not. The backpack is very cheap quality cheap fabric, not even lined, no extra pockets. It could even be folded up, that's how thin it is. I will not be surprised if this lasts only a few months of school! Then the lunch bag, which I wouldn't even call it that, is not insulated, and not even lined! For food safety reasons, I don't think we'll even be able to use it! I am so disappointed that I paid $21 for this! It's worth maybe $8. I would have returned this in a heartbeat if my son hadn't already seen it. If your buying this just for play (and even then, don't pay as much as I did!), it may be ok, but not for everyday school use!

This backpack looked super cool, and my son loved it when he initially recieved it. However, we had to put into the trash within 5 weeks because it was so ripped and shredded that it could not hold his school supplies and such. It ripped first on the bottom, and things started falling out. Then it got a tiny hole near the outside top. It ripped open very quickly into a gaping hole about 3 inches by 6 inches and we had to then toss it. I feel very ripped off as I paid in the neighborhood of $30 plus dollars. This is certainly not worth the money for a backback that is made of little more than plastic coated paper. Save your money.

Nice fit, but it's not snug and it has very thin padding. The design also looks nice, but it's more grayish than white. I'm overall satisfied because I wanted a small, simple cover for my netbook, to prevent scratches from my keys while in my purse, so it serves the purpose I wanted it for and it was cheaper than most other cases/sleeves. But if you're looking for heavy duty protection, this probably isn't the best choice.

The product is exactly the same as it appear in the pic and fit my new 11.6" Sony Vaio YB15(8 x 11.4 x 1.2 inches) perfectly. It's fashion and not very fluffy which is quite good. It protect my notebook from dirt and scratch quite well. Considering the price, i think it totally worth the money!

Higher Ground 13" Laptrap

I've been using my 13" Laptrap for about three weeks now and I just leave my computer in it. I did order two extra AC cords--now I have one in my usual computing spot, another for the other area in the house and one I leave at work. Cords fit well in the left hand pocket and I leave my mouse plugged in and stash it in the right hand pocket, then zip both sides up to that connection point. Would have loved a different color, but it saved me some $$ to settle on the blue. I park mine on top of a little scoot table and hang one pocket over the left side. I've yet to use it as it's intended, sitting on the sofa with it sitting on my lap but it's good to know that I can use it that way too. All-in-all, an excellent product and highly recommended.

After dragging my old pack around for years of hiking and canoeing from the Canadian shield to the Andes of Peru I got tired of sewing it up every few months and, with a fair bit of research, chose this as the replacement. I thought the quality of this was fantastic; and one of the claims of this product was its' ability to stretch in the narrow body and hug the laptop. I have one of these new glassy /glossy surface laptops from HP; and when I put it in the case it had to stretch to fit; so when i pulled the zipper closed; the teeth pressed against the edges of the laptop with every closure. After spending a lot of money fro a new laptop; i didn't like the idea of pressing a zipper against edges several times a day. i returned this and bought the Belkin model which zips 1 and 1/2 way around; and fits snup, but not overly tight; and I love that case!

This is the perfect sleeve for the small iBook. I wanted something that was a snug fit, good protection and not bulky to put the iBook into to carry in my briefcase. It's nothing special but it was perfect for what I needed a cover for my computer so it would not get scratched when tossed in my backpack. I think it's a "fits most" style. My 9-year-old uses this as his gear bag for swimming. It holds a towel, sunscreen, water, and swimsuit just fine. It has more trouble holding clothes and shoes along with the swim stuff. It has been reasonably durable, but after about a month of daily use, it has gotten a tear where the mesh meets the nylon bottom of the bag.

Ogio Newt Backpack

This is just another Ogio product I own and its not a surprise that Ogio surprised me again.

This backpack is a sleek model, but trust me, this one can carry everything you need, a lot of compartments and divisors help you to organize the way you want.

The pocket in the front of bag (the smaller) is the only one you won't be able to use as you want if the other parts get full, will be very tight to put wallet, cellphone or other easy access stuff. But not a problem because you can keep all this stuff on the other well divided pockets.

Inside you can find divisors for everything and this is what really made me happy. Pockets for camera, cellphone, cables and chargers, notebook, mouse and glasses!!

And different from others this pocket for glasses is very soft, you can put your glasses there and forget, it wont be scratched! It's not proof of weight, so the only thing you need to care about is putting too much pressure over it =]

This is a backpack for organized people on the move. I use this for work mostly. On a daily basis I store the following: laptop, mouse, work documents (letter size), laptop charger, cell phone (2x) & chargers, pens and pencils, id card, lunch for the day, bottle of water, headphones, & there is still room for more. This is not the biggest Ogio bag but it certainly has lots of storage and allows for great organization. Totally satisfied customer. I have had it for 3 months now with no issues. My previous bag was an Ogio which lasted me around 9 years before some stitching come loose.

Great, sleek technical backpack. I recently bought mine used and noticed that it was missing one of the sternum straps. I called OGIO support, and they sent me a new strap no questions asked (though I didn't mention that I got it used, but they never asked either).

This isn't the biggest backpack you will find, but it holds everything you need and has more pockets than you will need for all your gadgets and accessories. Most of the pockets are lined with really, really soft felt like fabric that is sure to not scratch up your gear. On their website it says it will hold up to a 17" laptop, but I think the only place it will hold a laptop that big is in the main top-loading compartment. The side-loading compartment should fit your 15" laptop and below (I have a 16" laptop that would not fit there only up top. My netbook obviously fit in the side pocket just fine).

The tradeoff of a low-profile backpack is that the main compartment is not that wide ie, putting a pair of shoes (laying flat and upright) and change of clothes will stretch it to the limit. So, it is not really suitable for taking it as your only form of luggage for a weekend trip, whether or not you're packing a laptop (or, if it's a 17" incher you won't have room for anything but maybe one change of light clothes). But, I'm sure it will be easier to get it in and out from under the seat in front of me on a plane than one of my larger, weekender backpacks.

It would have been cool if they somehow made the main compartment expandable so that you could fit more stuff when you need it and collapse it down to this size when you don't. So, I'm going to ding it one star for that. But, it's still the most functional and best looking backpack that I've owned. The quality is top notch, and the customer service is friendly and responsive. I love it!

It's a high quality backpack, with all the pockets you might need and morehowever, once your laptop and other items are in, there isn't much room for books or anything else. I can only carry my laptop, a folder, and one text book ro two small books. I have to carry my lunch separately which is kind of a bummer.

I wanted to give this backpack 5 stars but I didn't because, even though the description said it would accommodate a 17" laptop my Dell Inspiron 17R didn't even come close to fitting. I was disappointed that it didn't fit because laptop the compartment is very nice, but it did fit in the other large top loading compartment. There is plenty of room for my Ipad, camera, cords & adapters. I'm a senior who uses this backpack when I travel, so I love the fact that it is lightweight & doesn't have a lot of outside compartments.

Originally I started off looking for a frame-pack child carrier. When I seen that they were ranging anywhere from 150 500 dollars, I started to consider looking at alternatives. I seen this carrier and decided to take a chance with it, as there were no reviews to go on. I sure am glad that I did. First of all, this pack is less than a pound, so weight is no issue. The materials are really soft, but super strong at the same time. Unlike much more expensive child carriers, you have the option to sit the child front-facing & rear-facing, which was the feature that sold it for me.

This was a very well made product but was not what I was looking for. Upon delivery I tried it on with my daughter and neither of us was comfortable. It was smaller than it looked in the picture and did not hold her in a comfortable position. Admittedly this was made for children under 2yrs or less than 20 lbs.

For a toddler potty training or an already trained toddler this is a great bag. My LO also had it on for hours after we got it. It is also very well made I would compare it to the higher end school backpacks. The material is thick and the zippers look well made. The velcro pockets wont hold a cup but mommy's phone fits perfect and daddy wallet if we need it out of his pocket.

The straps are short made for a child so if your looking for longer straps this bag is not for you. I would say its about 3 or 4 inches wide in the big pocket, and about a foot tall.

For a child in daycare that all they need is a couple changed of cloths and a couple diapers it would be perfect.

Neoprene Laptop Carrying Case Sleeve Bag w. Hidden Handle & Eyelet (D-Ring) for 17 17.3 Inch Notebo

I was psyched when I got this sleeve in the mail and saw it. The design on it is absolutely gorgeous, and while the colors aren't QUITE so saturated as in the display image, they're still vibrant and beautiful, on both sides of the sleeve. The material is smooth and lovely, has some nice thickness to it, and while I wouldn't often use this alone for carrying my laptop around, I love that it has handles for easier transport. It feels very well-made, and fits my huge 17.3" (16:9 ratio) laptop quite nicely, although there's an extra inch or two at the top. I was more concerned about the width, though, and it fits absolutely fine that way, not too snug, but definitely not loose either with the 16.6" width of my Acer Aspire.

I will point out that the sleeve does smell quite strongly due to the neoprene, for the first few days after unpackaging it; and I would definitely recommend airing it out, both wide open and laying flat. DON'T LET THE SCENT DETER YOU. The smell faded most of the way within two days after receiving it, and it's only noticeable now (a full 3 days later) if you're close to the sleeve and actually searching for the scent. I still very highly recommend this sleeve!

I was a little disappointed that it don't come with the scrap like what was listed on the description plus the pictures described. But over all everything is fine.

The colors are not as vibrant as they appear on line, but it is still an attractive bag. It did have a strong neoprene odor & I had to let it air out in the garage for a few days, but was still a good buy.

Great little backpack! We fly all the time with kids. My two year old son brings all of his own entertainment stuff in this bag. He loves pulling it through the airport.
