eBags EXO Hardside Spinner 2pc Set

eBags EXO Hardside Spinner 2pc SetI am so pleased with this new luggage, I can't wait to take more trips (and I hate flying). I had seen spinner-style suitcases in the airport and decided it was time to get a set, but I wanted to get just the right set, and I didn't want to spend too much, so I did some research. These bags are much lighter than you'd expect, nothing like the old-school hard style that the gorilla would throw around in commercials. They are actually lighter than my non-spinner soft-side pieces. Their wheels are large and handle a variety of terrain in and around airports and hotels. Inside, they have various sections, many of which are optional, for easy organization. I find I can fit much more in the littler size than I expected -it was very easy to pack for a three-day weekend in just that very small carry-on. They are great, and I didn't break the bank to get them. Happy travels!

Based on the positive reviews, we purchased this set for our 13 y/o son (in blue-his preference) to take on a 9 day international school trip. We received the set in a timely manner and upon inspection it appeared to be a well made/quality set. The built-in TSA locks are a nice feature and easy to use. Our son said it was lightweight, easy to maneuver and easy to spot coming off the carousel. He had no issues with it and it survived the international trip without a scratch! Regarding the capacity... I was amazed at how much I was able to pack in the 24" suitcase! Using the eBags packing cubes, (1 large, 2 med, 2 small, 1 slim) I was able to pack the following in just the one 24" bag -7 pairs of jeans, 1 pr khakis, 3 sweatpants, 8 t-shirts, 2 long sleeve tees, 1 button down oxford, 3 pairs gym shorts, 3 undershirts, 8 boxers, 8 pr socks, 2 hoodies, 1 windbreaker, 1pr of shoes and a toiletry bag! (Btw, he wears a men's med shirt, 27"x32" pants and a sz 9 shoe so we're not talking kids size clothes either!) I also stuffed some misc items into the suitcase, loose, among the packing cubes, eg... a voltage converter, 6 disposable rain ponchos, 2 travel wallets and a luggage strapJust in case it didn't all hold! ;) The total weight of the bag and it's contents... 35LBS!! Amazing!!! No overage fees! Everything stayed nicely in place using the mesh zip around cover and tie down straps. There's also a removable divider which we didn't use, as it was unnecessary w/the packing cubes, but would be useful to keeps things separate/organized if you weren't using cubes. The reason for 4-stars instead of 5... For function and durability I give this set high praise and a solid 5! For looks... eh ... not so much as I really don't care for the ENORMOUS "EBAGS" logo on the back side of these bags! A label/small plate, I get, but the giant logo is just plain ugly. (So much so that despite the great features/function of this set, I just purchased the Traveler's ChoiceTasmania for myself as I just couldn't bring myself to drag this set around with that obnoxious logo!)"

Don't waste your money on super expensive travel gears unless you are trying to make a statement of some sort. These look fabulous in the bronze color and nobody will know how cheap they were... I travel quite a bit so got to purchased many sets over the years. This is a super light one. I only made one international trip with them so far so I don't know yet how they will hold up in the long run. This being said, they don't have a single scratch from that one trip. The surface is be very durable and resilient.

My wife bought the Traveler's Choice TC5000 Tasmania 3-Piece Expandable Spinner Luggage. For about the same price you get an additional piece so you might want to consider them as well. I expected my set to be of slightly better quality and it might be but its not obvious. Construction seems very comparable... You will love the TSA lock on it too. Its nice to know, that nobody at the hotel will mess with your stuff...

Herschel Supply Co. Scottie

New Herschel Scottie Cobalt/Navy MessengerLooks great, but the strap is too thin...it seems cheap compared to the actual bag. The size of the bag is perfect, but the thin, narrow strap makes it uncomfortable.

Gave it as a gift and the present owner loves it!!He uses it on his bike as he rides all over the city!

Dakine Duel Pack

Dakine Duel Pack, BlackI travel every weekend about 8 months out of the year so I need a good pack as my second carry on along with my roller bag. This Dakine Dual pack has just enough space in it to pack the main compartment full and still be able to fit my Macbook in the back notebook sleeve. The straps are padded nicely so when the bag is heavy it does not put too much strain on the shoulders. The front pockets are small but surprisingly hold a lot of things. Also you gotta love the cooler pocket on the front to keep drinks cold.

I love this backpack. Being 6', I needed length enough to suit my torso that would give me support without looking bulky, and this pack does it for me! Held up very well my first semester and still looks virtually new. Staying on campus for long hours at a time, having that mini-cooler is especially handy! (even for keeping electronics safe from hot days.)I also found the skateboard straps useful for holding a sweater or raincoat. Highly recommend. ......and how awesome is the color?! ;)

Dakine Duel Pack Laptop sleeve Two Water Bottle Holsters Plenty of room. I fill the back pack with all kinds of electronics, cameras, phones, laptop, plugs, and folders. I always bring a water bottle around with me. It has plenty of small and large pockets to keep things. The shoulder straps are nice and padded. It looks cool too.

I ordered this pack when my last Dakine ripped after several years of heavy use. It seems like a strong and durable bag and looks great. It is a little smaller than I was expecting. I use it mostly for school and the main pocket and the small front pockets are all a little small. But it is still plenty big for most people. I can fit my 15" laptop and 2 books in it. If you need space for more than that then go for a larger bag. My previous bag was the Dakine Campus large backpack. It is bigger but not as comfortable.

This pack is very comfortable and stays close to your back and doesn't sag when you load it up. It is a great bag and if it were just a tiny bit larger I would have given it 5 stars. If I could give it 4.5 I would. I would recommend it to anyone as long as they don't need a huge pack.

update: After 9 months of daily use this pack has held up well and still looks new. I wear it everyday and it has been very comfortable and durable. It's still a little small at times but should be sufficient for most people and it stays flat against the back and doesn't sag like some larger packs. I still recommend it.

I purchased this pack to act as a diaper bag for our summer trip. I love the built in cooler and two water bottle areas (I use these for sippy cups). Overall I love all the compartments and comfort of the pack. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was due to the weight of the pack it is a bit heavy due to all the extra padding in the laptop area. The skateboard clips are the perfect area for carring jackets too.

Petunia Pickle Bottom Scout Journey Pack diaper Bag - Olive Green

Petunia Pickle Bottom Scout Journey Pack diaper Bag - Olive GreenI really like this bag. As a dad who does not want to tote around my wife's purse-like diaper bag all day, I am super happy I have this. Visually, it's the best looking dad bag, I think, and its well made. The lining is easy to wipe clean and the organizational pockets are easy to access and hold quite a bit of stuff. Honestly one of the best things about the bag is that it includes a lot of the basics you need (wipes box, changing pad, and stroller clips) so you don't have to constantly borrow the ones from your wife's bag and remember to swap them back and forth. Another feature I really, really, like the fact that bottle holsters are moveable, both internally and externally. The size of the bag is just about perfect for a day long outing with little one and all their stuff. I would not think the smaller bag would be big enough for me personally, but this larger size is just right. The smaller one might be good for a few hours out of home, but not a full day I don't think.

My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is that the felt material that it is made out of, while very thick yet relatively soft to the touch, seems like it might not last as long as another material like leather would and might be more susceptible to staining. While I have not stained my bag or seen any wear and tear on it yet, I feel like I have to be a little more gentle with it than I would if it was another material. My friend has the Rubicon Rucksack by PPB, and his bag feels as though it could take more of a beating than this one. In the end, I like this one better, as it's more visually appealing and "classier" than the Rubicon, I think.

my husband loves his new diaper bag. little did i know i would be envious of his and want to trade ;)

SwissGear SA9360 Backpack (Black)

SwissGear SA9360 BackpackThe backpack is outstanding as quality and comfort, BUT IF YOU NEED A BACKPACK FOR A 17" LAPTOP DO NOT BUY THIS ONE!!! IT SIMPLY DOES NOT FIT!!! Good luck!!!

This bag is top notch in everyway: construction, functionality and design. I debated for some time as to which backpack to purchase for college classes (I'm 59 y/o pursuing my masters). I saw several of these being used on campus and decided to give it a try. I couldn't be more pleased.

Watershed Big Creek Waterproof Backpack

Watershed Big Creek Waterproof BackpackWatershed's dry bags offer a degree of water protection that is head and shoulders above their competitor's dry bags. Watershed's bags are as waterproof as a bag probably ever could be thanks to their patented closure mechanism which is essentially a heavy-duty version of a zip-lock freezer bag. Watershed's competitor's are stuck offering various versions of a roll-top style closures which can never boast of being "water-proof" if completely submersed. Watershed, on the other hand makes drybags for the US Navy SEALs so you know they they must be pretty darn waterproof. One guy at the factory told me they had once tested a bag to 300 meters for the Navy and it didn't leak, but the contents were crushed by the pressure so the bag's more extreme depth capabilities proved to be a bit of a moot point. (Added bonus; Watershed bags are made in the USA.) The design of the Watershed "Big Creek" bag makes a few design choices, such as the tight opening, that may not necessarily make it the most convenient carry-all bag for general purpose use, but for what it is supposed to do it, keep your valuable and water-sensitive items dry, it performs admirably. I personally am glad Watershed did not sacrifice the water-proof capabilities of this bag for the convenience of some casual users who probably don't even need a bag this waterproof in the first place.

Speaking of casual users, at around a hundred dollars, I would advise shoppers who want a bag keep your clothes dry on a canoe trip or to protect items against splashes or a quick accidental immersion to consider buying a cheaper, easier to use roll-top type dry bag as it should be more than sufficient for your needs and you will have $70 left over to spend on something else. I purchased a "Big Creek" bag for a six month backpacking trip through Asia to protect my electronic gear and camera and it was the single best thing I took on my trip. If you think you may want to take your $2000 DSLR snorkeling or if you think you may want to take your camera, laptop, ipod and iphone on an unguided white water rafting trip through northern Laos in a primitive skift (which did capsize, twice) I would highly recommend a Watershed brand bag. Thanks to my Watershed bag my camera and sensitive electronics managed to survived multiple small boat capsizings, an elephant-back soaking, water-fall jumps and swims, more snorkeling and diving excursions than I can recall, rain forest downpours, rainy motorcycle rides, and swims in heavy surf when I didn't want to leave my valuables on the beach unattended. I figured if I was going to carry a big heavy DSLR camera all around Asia I wanted to have it with me when it mattered, and my Watershed bag gave me the ability to do just that. As a result I got shots during my travels that no one else was able to get because their cameras were locked in their rooms. (Sometimes a very risky place too.) I didn't have any thing stolen from me on my trip either, I think part of that was luck, but it didn't hurt that I never had to leave anything behind on the shore or in my room for fear of getting my stuff wet. It is peace of mind to have a bag you can trust your sensitive and expensive gear to when you know getting wet may be an unavoidable part of your day.

So in a nutshell I guess that's it. A sturdy, trusty drybag like the Big Creek is convenience and peace of mind for your important water sensitive things, because the bag gives you the freedom to take those things with you in some pretty extreme situations without having to worry.

Definite five star product.

It's a great pack to have your stuff available to you, and dry, when you're on the water. There's a fairly large nylon loop strap at the top of the backpack shoulder straps that you can use to hook the pack to straps or ropes on a raft, using a carbiner. The backpack straps are lightly cushioned and comfortable, and are functional for carrying a load. If you don't come close to filling the storage space, the backpack gets a little floppy, though. One giant advantage of this pack is that you can *see* everything, so you aren't stuck reaching around in "the hole," blindly. That said, the opening isn't quite big enough, or at least as handy as it could be if it were just a few inches wider, which is why I didn't give it five stars. (The opening is a little small, so it's like rummaging around in a bear canister.) It doesn't open like a typical dry bag. The opening mechanism is like a giant ziplock, and you have to twist the zip part to open it, and firmly press the zip part to seal it. It's not at all hard, but you have to spend a little time getting the hang of opening and closing it. It worked great, though, and none of my gear ever got wet. I have taken it on two rafting trips and a canoe trip, and haven't noticed any scratches or scuffs on the fabric. It's a good product.

Buy Watershed Big Creek Waterproof Backpack Now

I bought this for a canoe trip and for when I do serious wading. It works great. It seals closed like a ziplock bag, and keeps out all moisture. On an over night canoeing/camping trip I inflated it and used it for a pillow. The only down side to this bag is the size of the opening, you can fit clothing in it, but larger articles, such as extra shorts or a towel, are a little harder to get in. It is also not the most convient if you need constant access to items such as maps you are trying to keep dry, but if all you want is to keep essential items dry then as a waterproof backpack it is a great buy.

This is in my opinion the best dry backpack that $$ can buy. I also really like the clear version of it to find all my stuff. Here is a video review

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzmcMVdyh3U

I find the closer system of watershed packs to be the most trustworthy and the material is far more rugged then traditional dry bags. They cost a little more money, but they last forever. Look no farther if you are in the market for a dry bag.

Badlands Ambush Backpack (MOBU, 11 x 12 x 6.5-Inch)

Badlands Ambush BackpackCapacity on this fanny pack is 850 cubic inches. Weight is 1 pound 8 ounces. It has six pockets: two water bottle pockets, two zippered side pockets, one zippered main cargo pocket, and one internal web pocket within the cargo pocket. Camo is Break-Up Infinity. There are no color or camo options. The pack is made in Vietnam. Warranty is unconditional lifetime.

The pack has two elastic web pockets for water bottles that Badlands says are for 26 ounce bottles. They will not hold a wide Nalgene 32 ounce bottle or a military 32 ounce canteen. They easily hold a 16 ounce blue cap Nalgene or the taller Klean Kanteen stainless steel 27 ounce (800 ml) water botttles, although the Klean Kanteen bottles are a bit top-heavy in the pocket because less than half their height is supported by the webbing. The elastic loops to secure the water bottle are sheathed by plastic tubes to resist abrasion. They will stretch enough to reach around the top of the 27 ounce Klean Kanteen bottle, and this keeps the bottle stable in the pack. These pockets will also hold a 32 ounce Poweraide sport drink bottle, which is slightly less in diameter at the bottom, and moreso in the middle, than a 32 ounce Nalgene bottle. It is not as easy when wearing the pack to get a Poweraide bottle back in a pocket because the webbing needs to strectch quite a bit to get the bottom of the bottle started in the pocket. I've hiked with all three of these options.

The cargo pocket is wide enough and tall enough to hold two military canteens, if you want, along with more cargo, although the weight of so much water and other gear might be more than you'd want to carry in a fanny pack. The Ambush is built strong enough, though, to handle the weight.

The zipper pulls are heavy duty, and the zippers seem sturdy. The plastic buckles on the hip belt also seem sturdy. The two side pockets on the hip belt are seven inches long, but they tightly follow the curve of your hips or waist, so don't expect them to hold something ridged like a long multitool or large folding knife. I carry a Brunton Classic compass upright in the forward portion of a side pocket and it fits snuggly. There are "bedroll straps" on the bottom of the pack, useful for a poncho or rain jacket, although I haven't tried using them for that.

The suspension system is first-rate. It is a comfortable pack to wear. I usually wear it so that the hip belt covers to top of my pants belt and the buckle sits right above the buckle on my pants belt. This way, my pants belt is assisting in supporting the pack. The pack is not firm and flat against my back from the top of the pack to the bottom with this method. If I hitch the pack up a bit, so there is distance between my two buckles, then the pack is firm against my back. Body types and clothing choices will vary, of course. When hiking, once I've been underway for a short while, I find myself almost unaware of the pack.

This is my first Badlands pack, and I'm impressed with the quality and good price. There are many fanny packs around the price of the Badlands Ambush, but from what I've seen this is of much higher quality than any of them.

Best belt carry pack for hiking and fishing I use it constantly and it is quite durable for sure good one!

There is about a quarter inch give on each side, so the laptop is snug most of the time. The sleeve also has an interior laptop grip to help further secure the laptop within place, a feature I found really nice. The front pocket fits the accessories and adapter well. The sleeve catches dust really easily, though, especially at the four points where the laptop would normally touch the resting surface (the rubber bottoms). Nevertheless, I consider this a great buy if you want to keep your Series 9 safe.

Chrome Berlin Messenger Bag Black/Red, One Size

Chrome Berlin Messenger Bag Black/Red, One SizeRidiculously huge. Seriously. I lost a family of raccoons in there for a week --turns out they were just hiding between the mini-fridge and my lunch-box collection I had stashed in one of the front pockets. Fixed the "it doesn't have a padded floor" problem that causes a bit of laptop breakage when tossing the Berlin casually on the ground by putting my entire XL Timbuktu bag INSIDE of the interior pocket. Absurdly giant. The new cross-strap rids you of the problem of your jacka$$ friends undoing your front Chrome buckle as a joke, leaving your right arm free to punch them directly in the face without having to save your 82 lbs. of whatever-the-hell-you-want-to-carry from crashing to the ground. Replace "punch them" with "mace", "stab" or "blackjack" and you get the idea: this bag turns you into a willful wrecking machine with a zombie-apocalypse worth of hillbilly-hideout gear stashed on your back. Be forewarned, though: turning in tight spaces will require more spacial judgement than your average NASA physicist has at their disposal; be prepared to knock everything in a 5-foot radius over if you decide to spin around suddenly. Mistakes will be made, and $#!t will get broken.

I used to own a Kremlin bag that Chrome made before the Berlin. Overall, I was happy with it, but there were some issues I had.

Apparently, the Berlin is Chrome's response to customer feedback on the Kremlin. They removed a few things and added some.

Among the differences:

1) the Kremlin had two layers in the main compartment and you were able to take the inner layer completely out if you needed to. The Berlin no longer has this feature, I guess because people were seldom able to put the inner lining back the same as before they took it out;

2) a large pocket is now available on the rim of the Berlin on the open side and it seals with Velcro;

3) the single pocket on the outside of the Kremlin is now two pockets on the Berlin, one of which has a smaller zipper pocket on the outside, which is good for carrying keys or a wallet. The two main pockets do not have closures. There is even a small slot for pens between them;

4) despite the large carrying capacity of the Kremlin, couriers reported that even though the Kremlin could hold a large, heavy load, the main strap wasn't always able to prevent the bag from sliding-around, which could result in a crash. The Berlin now features a cross-strap, so that it comes down like an X over your chest.This distributes the weight better and makes it more secure. The extra strap is ingeniously concealed in a compartment over one shoulder;

5) the Kremlin's "secret stash pocket" is gone from the Berlin. It was the first thing I looked for when my Berlin arrived; and

6) while the Kremlin came in a variety of colors, the Berlin is only available in either black or grey.

Chrome still has excellent customer service. When I've had issues with their products, my issues were quickly resolved with courtesy and professionalism.

The Berlin is an excellent purchase!

I really like this bag. I used to carry about 4-6 programming books in my bag (language references -and those of you in software development know how heavy those are), and this bag can fit them easily. While it's not going to work miracles on the strain on your back/shoulders (now, I only carry one or two), but it's definitely going to allow you to fit a laptop, some books (textbook size), and a change of clothes (gym clothes, or regular) without really filling this bag up.

There are separate sections, though beware -this is truly a messenger bag and not an office tote. You'll need to maintain organization on your own (there is only one main compartment with a smaller sleeve style pocket (in addition to the miscellaneous pockets on the front). The additional strap is an awesome feature. Especially when you're carrying a lot of heavy stuff. It's also not padded for a laptop (it's not a laptop bag, but you can buy a sleeve to fit), but you can fit a good deal of stuff from Costco when you go shopping for bulk items (save on those boxes!).

The style is decent, but it's big. That's an understatement. It's huge! I'm a pretty big guy, and it spans about my entire back. That being said, it's not a fashion statement. It's not ugly, but it's large and I wouldn't call it the next big thing.

All in all, this bag is an all-purpose workhorse, and it does its job well.

I bought it because I wanted a good bad for travel. It is that. Well made with pockets galore. The only negative is the end compression straps are overkill. They only compress the end pocket. I would have liked to see them over entire bag. Or leave em off no matter. As is they just create an extra headache to access end pockets. Just my personal experience. I really like the pockets for the most part and the bag is sure to last.

This bag is very versertial it's a backpack and a gym bag in one witch is great for everyday travel useauly my gym shoes take up most of my bag size 13 but this bag is very big and has lots of space for tools, gym cloths, shaker cups, and an umbrella all stuff I cary everyday. It will fit all this stuff with room to spare. I would not recommend this bag to someone under 6 feet for everyday use I think it might be to big for them for that purpose and i can see it a little hard to maneuver in a crowed train or bus, but it works for me. If i am standing I place it beaten me legs standing like a backpack and if i am sitting like a gym bag. I will up date in a couple of weeks to let you know how tuff the bag is, it looks pretty rugged with strong zippers, but only time can tell.

Great bag for the range , the airport anything else you wanna do. You can pack like a week worth of close if you need . solid construction and gives you tons of options

J World Stacy Sling Backpack

J World Stacy Sling BackpackI bought this bag to throw my purse contents in when my husband and I go to Chicago. I was looking for something inexpensive but durable and needed something lightweight. This is perfect. It is not full sized and would actually be nice for a teenager (I'll probably donate it to my grand-daughter who is 10) but its a good bag for the money.

Got it to use as a purse, so far it has been the perfect size and its wonders on my back!

I really love this bag. I have room for everything i need: tablet, phone, chargers, keys,mp3. I even managed to put a pair of foldable headphones in it and i bought a foldable water bottle called Platypus thats just perfect for this kind of bag. My only gripe is the color options, i had to settle for love letter black because they didnt have just a normal black so now i got this bag with a bunch of teeny-bopperish scribble scrabble all over it. Im 25, a lil too old for that but i couldnt find the black i really wanted so oh well. It still a really nice bag overall.

Sanrio Check Hello Kitty Laptop Tote Bag

Sanrio Check Hello Kitty Laptop Tote BagI purchased this for my little sister who is a freshman in college. She was very happy with the material and design. The product came just as described. A little smaller than anticipated, but useful nonetheless :)
