The Continental - Vintage Ladies Shopping / Traveling Backpack

I must use a backpack due to shoulder, neck, and back problems (maybe because I carry too much crap?). This bag has wide straps to distribute weight and they don't dig or pinch my neck and shoulders. The bag doesn't slap my back when I walk or droop to my butt. However, my clothes sometimes creep up if I do a lot of walking, and I need to pull down my shirt or jacket in the back. Only other problems: It weighs too much with all my stuff in it! (Duh!) It weighs five pounds when empty. The leather strap over the buckle curls up now after 12 months+ of use. I need to polish the leather due to some scuff marks...haven't done it yet. I tried to replace this bag just for variety's sake, and looked for hours and hours at over 1600 different bags in stores and online. I briefly tried two others. Now I'm back to this one and want to get it in black and maybe get another one in brown just to have when/if this one wears out. Bellino also makes matching luggage, laptop bags, etc.

Mosey Life Convertible Backpack
This bag is beautiful inside and out. However, the straps are "slippery" and tend to fall off your shoulder. As a backpack, the straps really cut into the front on your shoulders and were too painful for me to wear that way for very long. The bag has a lot of room inside but the shape of the zipper (upside down smile) makes it a little hard to get into without using both hands.

I got this bag for a month long trip to Greece. It was perfect and I used it the entire trip. It is so easy to change from shoulder bag to back pack...nothing to reclip.. just pull the straps. It has plenty of pockets and compartments to keep a camera handy. The size is great.. can handle all one needs for a day trip (water bottle & suncreen, etc). The material is nice and does not get too hot against your back. I like the wallet that clips inside with a little elastic "leash" because it makes it difficult to be the victim of a pick-pocket. I just received this bag in black. I was looking for something that was lighter weight than the large leather bags we are carrying that are hurting our shoulders. I have crossbody bags, but sometimes they cause shoulder pain as well. This bag is attractive, not so sporty looking, plus wisely designed. The only thing that is inconvenient is that there are no handles on the one side so if you want to grab the bag to move it, you have to grab the top two sides of the bag. I think the design would be ruined if there were two handles, so i don't suggest the company do that. The inside center of the bag has a secure zippered large pocket (the bag is a generous 5 inches deep). In addition, in that section there is a nicely sized zippered pocket on one side and on the other are 2 slip pockets with see-through mesh plus a flat 6 credit card slots/zippered/slide pocket thingy attached with a strap and removable clasp. On either side of the main large pocket there is a deep pocket wide pocket (2 total) for more easily accessed items. On the outside there is a vertical zipper deep pocket and a snap tab closed smaller deep pocket for a phone and more. The whole bag is closed with a turn latch. When worn as a backpack everything is pretty secure. You can put either side against your body. The quilting is a horizontally oval design and there is leather trim that gives it a sophisticated look for a lightweight constructed bag. The metal rings where the straps slide through seem very strong. To adjust from a regular shoulder bag or hand bag, to a backpack is extremely easy. It's just a matter of sliding straps. There are 2 side adjustable, 4 hole buckles as well. Inside my black bag is a pink nylon lining that adds a nice touch and makes things easy to see. I have used three of these bags in different colors for more than two years. They are the only bags I have ever owned that I have been happy with for more than a year. I carry a lot of "stuff" including my IPad and I walk several miles a day regardless of weather. The bags are comfortable even with a lot of weight in them, and they never look hugely bulky. I use them for everything from the opera in Chicago and professional conferences to walks at the zoo or on the beach. The colors are beautiful and never fade. They also wipe off easily and are difficult to stain. [Although I admit that I spray them with water-protection.] They switch from backpack to shoulder bag in less than 3 seconds, even when you are walking! They are also lightweight, despite being very sturdy. If you need to carry a lot of stuff, especially if you also need to look professional, this is the bag for you. Good luck at choosing only one color--they are beautiful bags!

I had a messenger-style bag for my laptop, but I had other things I need to carry, as well. The bag didn't fit everything and was both heavy and awkward. I put everything from the old bag into this one, and it felt like I was barely carrying anything! The "mouth" of the bag is narrow, but you can still get a standard 1" binder in. The laptop area is padded and there are pouches to keep all of my stuff organized. I was concerned about the price, but this bag was worth every penny!

Great bag well built, good materials. I appreciate that it makes me think about what I plan to take with me not so large I can throw everything and the kitchen sink in, but I shouldn't be lugging all of that round, anyway. It holds a large laptop, folder of to-dos, my workout gear, lunch and shoes to and from work. Has just a couple of smaller organization pockets but again, I find I don't really need any more than that. The long slim side pockets (one inside, one outside on the opposide side) would be good for a water bottle or umbrella but I haven't had need of those yet. I love Osprey's lifetime warrnaty can't beat that! And the color choices were nice as I was tired of the basic black. The version does not have a drawstring closure at the top of the main copartment (underneath the flap) previous versions did so if you are looking for that, it is not there. Also no earbud cord keeper along the straps (also seen on a previous version of this same pack), but neither of those are dealbreakers for me. I would definitely recommend this LG size over the 'regular' unless you only plan to carry a laptop and maybe a jacket or something small the LG size isn't THAT much bigger and just allows a bit more flexibility in what you can carry. I'm a grad student and wanted a classy backpack. I love this one so much. It's cute and has personality but looks mature. It fits way more than you might expect and the pockets are more than adequate enough for me to fit pens, wallet, glasses, keys, etc. The flap works well and isn't a hindrance. This backpack also does a great job of protecting both my laptop and ipad and doesn't ever feel too heavy. It carried perfectly and feels so comfortable. I LOVE the interchangeable straps. High Sierra Impact Backpack
I researched many bags and their cubic measurements to ensure I was buying a backpack for my kindergartner that was larger than a toddler or pre-school sized bag, and could hold a folder and his lunch carrier plus a sweater. Size-wise this backpack is great and I think it will work for at least a year or two. However, buyers beware that the actual color combo of the bag we received is orange and grey, not red. Fortunately, that is a combination I prefer, so we had no issues. But if you're looking for a red backpack this most definitely is not it.Review amended after three weeks of use: We are still happy with the size, weight and look of this bag, but two weeks into use, the stitching that connects one of the straps at the shoulder is coming undone. Fingers crossed it can survive the school year!

We purchased one of these for each of our 3 kids to use as day packs when out hiking. They all really like them and the size is fine for a change of clothes, extra socks, sunblock, hand sanitizer, emergency blanket, journal, and food/snacks/etc. We like the highly visible "hunter don't shoot" red/orange color. We've been using them a lot for several weeks now and the zippers are all holding up fine. I owned one of these for over 10 years. It went through college with me and was big enough for all of my books, etc. Post college, my son used it for school and during it all, it went traveling with us several times a year. I probably would still have it and use it for travel except that on one of those trips, I parked my car across from the Air & Space Museum in D.C. and someone broke in. This is replacing a green nylon backpack, which I gladly gave to my husband. I wanted something that looks more professional and could travel well. It had to be long lasting, durable and secure. I wanted quality leather because I like things that look good and last. Another requirement was a zipper closure, as it's more secure than those with magnets, buckles, etc. This backpack was a wonderful choice.I have my laptop, iPad, cords, gloves and a small crossbody leather purse in the main compartment. My cell phone, keys, pen and other miscellaneous items are in the exterior pockets. It's just the right size enough room for the essentials, not too bulky. I'll be flying soon and am looking forward to using it as a carry on.
Unlike some other backpacks I considered, the back and straps of this item are leather too. This makes it a bit more difficult to get on and off, as leather straps do not glide as easily as nylon. However, I'm willing to live with this in order to have something so unique and classy. I'm < 5'5" in height and the top hole in the strap works well for me. I also like the handle at the top of the bag. The zippers seem decent, although they handle the curves a bit slowly.
Gregory Women's Jade 34 Backpack
I just love Gregory packs, I have the 25, 28, 34, 38 and the 50 Jade packs! Yuphave to sell a couple, whah! ha ha ha. Anyway the 34 is the perfect size for a long day hike or a simple overnight jaunt. I use mine as a emergency pack in my car! It handles up to 35 lbs and is still comfortable to wear. It has a lot of pockets to choose from to creatively store your gear in the best places for you to get them quickly. The built-in standard rain covers are a nice quality touch! The Jade cross flow suspension is my favorite and goes up to the 38 before it changes the suspension on the bigger packs. The air flow on hot summer days of 90+ is wonderful. The shoulder straps are very comfortable considering they don't look thick. I have a neck & shoulder injury and these packs are so comfortable for me to wear, that's why I have so many! ha ha ha. I purchased a clover green before they disappeared! It's a rich color, very nice. Gregory offers some very nice colors, the tuolumne green, Nordic blue and the red/grey combo are the richest so far. The bluebird is ok but not a favorite. Depends on your taste. I can't recommend a better pack for the price, especially when you get them on sale!! Worth every penny.The newer packs put the side compression straps over the side water bottle pockets, this is the only "upgrade" I do not like, as I like to be able to compress my pack, not my water bottle as I like to drink from it!! Other than that can't complain.Bottom line: Great packs, cool colors and Comfortable with a capitol C!! Worth the price of admission...

In contrast to prior backpacks, I for once received a BRANDED unit, From MA Hon upon return from the Route. the Brand to match my other items in use. and to top it off TWO Units, One this Gray/Silver (as pictured) and the other FULL Black colored (Not Pictured)The Unit is Delicate in show and is surely a head turner, especially in crowds that know the brand, but is also robust enough to carry in harsher conditions, which is a plus.
the Unit has multiple compartments, Frontal Pocket for the loose items that we have a tendency to carry around with us, 2 Zipped side pockets, big enough to carry Coach Sunglasses in the COACH "Oversized" Glasses hardbox. a big Zipped compartment where you can place all the files, binders and assessories that you have with you (about 4inch deep) which contains extra compartments and pockets within, and a Back Zipped compartment, which I use to carry my MacBook Pro in, in seperate padded compartment within (room for 2). it has a Padded Back and shoulder straps, which offer extra comfort while carrying the bag for prolonged periods of time, or when the back compartment is loaded with a bit extra weight. and a Hand carry handle on the top. Bottom is re-enforced by leather, which offers a bit extra support and protection.
And to top it all off, it has the COACH lable on the front, which shows the Brand and Quality (and of course the Price class) of the Item.
the only thing that I would say could had been better with this item would have to be the absence of option to LOCK the compartments. There are no option to do so, and that can be a Negative point of the item. Of course I would had loved if the option would had been available, but its is not. but given that it is a Expensive backpack, compared to other options available on the market, by multifolds, not to mention the value of the contents that I use it with, there is Next to NONE chance that I am letting it OUT of sight, so it doesn't really matter, but still, I think I should mention it to any prospective buyers who are out in the market considering this item.

I've come back a week later to complain about one thing: the zippers keep getting stuck in my clothes and tights; I've already ripped two pairs of tights with this. Replacing them both cost more than this bag did! This is a dealbreaker for me. I can't use it with the zippers shut, or the Epi-Pen won't fit. Going back to my Cole Haan wristlet, and putting this in the charitable donations bin....

The only thing I had to do was unzip the zippers to get the Epi Pen in properly, but I like the look with the zippers open. I wish they would have made it so that when the zippers were open, the zipper pulls were on the front of the bag instead of the back; I like the accent of the pulls. But that's minor. The bag lays nicely flat, hangs properly, and does not bulge. I'm already considering buying another one in a more vibrant color.

Have owned this bag for about 2 years and thought I'd weigh in on it. I use this bag weekly for business travel and the two things that drew me to it were the light weight (empty) and the design/colors it's not your typical black rolling laptop bag.Pros: It's cute, have gotten many compliments on it.
It's relatively light, though when loaded with a laptop and other essentials, it's still 12+ pounds.
The side pocket for water or soda outstanding functional design, folds in, secures with internal magnet when not in use
Multiple organization sections room for files, section for pens, larger area for bulkier things, i.e., power cord, makeup bag, etc.
Fits in every overhead bin I've encountered (small regional planes) but not under all seats.
My Dell laptop fits perfectly in the padded section, zipper design allows for fast, easy access at airports.
Cons: The single stem retractable handle looks cool but makes it impossible to set another bag on top flips off to the side.
The side bottle pocket fabric is starting to shred lighter nylon fabric is not as sturdy.
The wheels are now very noisy going to try some WD40 to see if that helps but it's very annoying.
The retractable handle stops at each section don't hold the handle up anymore.
If you have a lot of things in the front sections, it tends to tip forward the stabilizer bar on the bottom front should be taller.
The contour factor for carrying would be great if there was any way to attach a shoulder strap, but there isn't. The mfg. literature says it comes with
a shoulder strap but it doesn't they use the same literature for their smaller shoulder bag.
I'm now looking to replace this bag because of the noisy wheels and the shredding fabric. Nothing I'm finding comes close to the storage and fun factor of this bag, but the fact that I can't sit a smaller bag (purse) on top of it while pulling (the single stem doesn't work for that, smaller bag flips off to one side or other) would be enough to keep me from purchasing this bag again.

I finally found a stylish and functional solution! Everyone who sees this wants one. It is small enough to easily manuever but at the same time has plenty of room for all of my stuff. It carries a ton of weight easily and the wheels are large and roll well even over uneven surfaces and curbs. The handle is study and doesn't twist or flex. The side cup holder folds shut and secures with a magnet when not in use. I have never had this bag perform the dreaded side roll or tip while I am walking along. It moves very smoothly and, a huge plus, is super quite even on tiled surfaces. The way it is made it doesn't bump into your legs while you carry it by the double strap handle. I can't think of anything that could be added to this bag to make it any more functional or attractive. I am in love! I am planning to order another one of these just in case they ever stop making them. The price is more than a steal when compared to other bags of MUCH less quality! If you need a rolling bag, buy this one!This is a good-looking feminine bag. I've had it a week here are my thoughts.

Magnetic-closed bag straps are about 2-3" too short to allow carrying it comfortably on the shoulder, so not at all sure why the "Air-Flo Contour (TM) Panel" is even there to "dissipate heat and hug the body for greater comfort." This is the biggest reason it lost a star (along with no shoulder strap). It's awkward to carry.

Largest dimensions: 17.75 W x 7.25 D x 14.75 T inches (without straps)I have used a number of computer bags over the years and needed to convert to a wheeled version for ergonomic reasons. I disliked many of the options because they not only looked heavy and industrial but were just stiff and klunky to use. This one is nice looking, light and practical. The pockets are a nice combination for papers and notebooks as well as cords, thicker items that need a bit more space and protection. It's easy to access all of the pockets. I showed up at my office with it(healthcare field) and 3 of my coworkers immediately went and purchased it as well. We could use some other colors so they don't get mixed up. By the way, I took it on vacation recently and it also fits nicely under the seat on planes. I haven't found anything I dislike about it yet.

High Sierra Malcolm Backpack
I have only had this backpack for a month, so I cannot necessarily comment on how durable it is. However, thus far, it has been fantastic.There is plenty of room in this backpack, and I am thankful I didn't get something bigger.
There are 2 main large compartments. The largest contains the padded computer compartment and will hold about three 1" binders (4 is pushing it). The other large compartment I use to hold a sweater when I'm in the air conditioning.
There are 2 small compartments. The first is perfect for holding my phone, keys, chapstick, mp3 player, etc with plenty of room to spare. The other is the front compartment which holds plenty of pens/pencils.
The straps are cushioned which is nice on the shoulders. One strap has a mesh holder for my phone which is great when I'm walking somewhere and want to check it more frequently.
There are 2 mesh holders on the outside of the backpack to hold water bottles. This was a great selling point because my last backpack lacked exterior water holders, and when my water bottle accidentally leaked, my paperwork was drenched. The holders are big enough to carry those 1 Liter Nalgene-type water bottles.
Vanity-wise, I have received a lot of compliments on the design of the backpack, with questions about where I got it.
Therefore, as of 1 month's use, I give this backpack 5 stars.
