This is replacing a green nylon backpack, which I gladly gave to my husband. I wanted something that looks more professional and could travel well. It had to be long lasting, durable and secure. I wanted quality leather because I like things that look good and last. Another requirement was a zipper closure, as it's more secure than those with magnets, buckles, etc. This backpack was a wonderful choice.I have my laptop, iPad, cords, gloves and a small crossbody leather purse in the main compartment. My cell phone, keys, pen and other miscellaneous items are in the exterior pockets. It's just the right size enough room for the essentials, not too bulky. I'll be flying soon and am looking forward to using it as a carry on.
Unlike some other backpacks I considered, the back and straps of this item are leather too. This makes it a bit more difficult to get on and off, as leather straps do not glide as easily as nylon. However, I'm willing to live with this in order to have something so unique and classy. I'm < 5'5" in height and the top hole in the strap works well for me. I also like the handle at the top of the bag. The zippers seem decent, although they handle the curves a bit slowly.
