the color of the bag was more of a green color...and the designated rubber hole for headphones had no hole cut in it. other than that it is a cool backpack if you dont have a ton to carry, i can fit a school textbook a 1 in folder and my pencil bag in it before it starts to stretch out.

Well put together for a reasonable amount. But can you really put a price on it, if my son's eyes opened WIDE when he saw his new bag? Jansport Santiam Backpack
Backpack does the job. I had to replace my prior backpack same brand / same model as it ripped open in the washing machine. My fault, I should have brought it to the launderette. I needed a new one. I bought the same brand/model I had before because I was so happy with it. Seems to me the material on the new purchase is not as durable, seems thinner and cheaper. Zippers don't seem as strong either.It's doing the job. I'll continue to use it. Just get the feeling it won't last as long as I would like.
I've bought Jansport backpacks pretty regularly, yet this one just seems to lack the quality that the previous ones had.
The padded straps and padded back make this also
extremely comfortable, even under heavy load.
It looks awesome as well. My new favorite!

I was looking for a roomy backpack for travel. After extensive shopping, I settled on a different backpack.Upon arrival, I found that that backpack just didn't have the room I expected. Therefore, I moved on to this
eBags backpack. I am delighted with it. Lots of room to stuff a light jacket AND my ample purse, along with
my ipad, water, etc. Thus getting around the number of bags being carried on to the plane. This bag appears
to be very well made. I usually don't write reviews until I have used the product extensively. I feel certain
that this pack IS what I need. LOTS OF ROOM!!! And it is a pretty color. ;)
The e-reader pocket is a great feature. It lies in the main compartment adjacent to the anterior wall of the laptop compartment so it's protected on that side. The main compartment is huge and can accommodate all of the books I need for class and then some. The front storage area is chock full of pockets both with and without light padding. The padded ones are great for your smartphone, voice recorder, camera or MP3 player. There are mesh pockets which are great because you can see exactly what's in there a good place for headphones, USB cables and small miscellaneous wires. The side pockets are a bigger than my Downloader knapsack. The mesh side pocket is great for a water bottle and since it's now bigger the water bottle seems fit much better. The other side pocket has a leash for your keys so you always know where they are in addition to loops for pens, pencils and lip balm. Last but not least, there is a front zip pocket for things you need to get to immediately.
A few changes I would like to suggest to the ebags design team is to include a 3-sided foam insert inside the laptop compartment. It would be a big help for folks like me who do not have a large laptop. I only have an 11.6" computer and it shifts around so much in the laptop compartment. In order to solve the problem, I insert the computer horizontally so it fits snugly without too much movement. I took the foam insert from my old Downloader and place it on top of the laptop. There is still plenty of space on top of that where I put my power adapter brick and emergency umbrella. For all of you out there with larger laptops, this bag will be perfect.
Ogio Bandit II Laptop/Tablet Backpack
First off I would have given this backpack 5 stars if it priced a little better. Don't get me wrong, this bag is high quality and has lots of very neatly thought out storage spots most which are fleece lined as to not scratch your items. But it is very tough (for me anyway) to spend $100 on a backpack...but I did and I'm glad I did. I use it to bring my lunch and personals to work while riding my Honda CBR1000rr. Fits like a glove, adjusts easy, and is very comfortable. Almost forget I'm wearing it while riding. Fits my 17.3 HP pavillion g7 perfectly and my coleman soft shell 6pack cooler with my cell phone. The front chest cross strap which clips together is essential while riding as it keeps the shoulder straps from sliding back.I would HIGHLY recommend this bag, but maybe wait for a better price.

I bought this work/laptop backpack to replace an existing OGIO backpack. The original lasted 7 or 8 years. In this time, as it got worn out a bit, I would use bpacks supplied by my work or HP. They didn't last at all. Would be coming apart at the seems within a few months.My old OGIO is still usable. Just tattered. Looks ratty enough I don't want to be taking it to meetings. The new pack is big without feeling or looking that way. Easily holds everything I need with space left over. The fleece lined electronics pockets are a good touch.

This backpack is for my 13 year old son. He has not begun to use it yet (for school) but it appears to be of durable material which is very important. He carries more than 4 books and three binders back and forth from school each day and at times, I see the bag dragging the ground.There are several outside pockets which can be used for his flash drives, cell phone, calculator, extra pencils, pens and snacks. The zippers appear to be very sturdy and easily opens and closes.
We'll see how it lasts this year and if it makes it through, we will definitely purchase an OGIO next year!!

If you are looking for a great ULTRALIGHT day pack than this is it. At 6.5 oz, there is only one lighter pack on the market, however, this pack, by Hammock Bliss, has a few features which make it worth the extra couple of ounces. Side mesh pockets for water bottles and an inner zipper pouch are great features that Hammock Bliss has incorporated into their product. This pack is great for backpacking you can use it as a stuff sack and then use it on a day hike from your base. I use it for travel when I don't want the bulk of a larger day pack. There are always compromises made for ultralight gear. Although this pack has no padding to protect items from rubbing your back (and you wouldn't expect any padding in an ultralight) I use a jacket or extra shirt folded against the interior of the pack to act as padding. Great pack, great weight and great price.
Cute pack but the size stated is wrong. The actual length of the pack body is sixteen inches, not twenty. It is only twenty if it isn't cinched closed. I was also disappointed that straps are fairly stiff and not very compressible. The fabric is a type found on a windbreaker and I am skeptical about the durability. Also the top opening is small. It could be a nice stuff sack and back pack combo. I am comparing to Eagle Creek Packable Daypack which for me is a better choice.I've purchased this item, because it is ultra light and can quickly be squeezed into a suitcase or even a jacket pocket. I like how it folds into itself, I also love the versatility it provides. but...
It lasted one trip. Technically, it didn't even last the entire trip. We took this sac for our two weeks trip in France. At the most, the sac carried the weight of a 2 litter bottle liquid. 7 days into our trip, the strap snapped at the seam. We didn't even abuse it. PErhaps the company should double or triple stitch the strap seams.
Is it super durable like it advertised? Not at all.
I am pretty disappointed, the search for an ultra light weight and DURABLE sac continues...

Kenneth Cole Reaction Back For Good - Laptop Backpack
I actually bought this backpack at a local store. I wanted to be able to see the backpacks in person before making my decision. I went to about three stores, and this is the backpack that best met my needs for laptop capacity and text books. At first I was pretty impressed, but within a week, one of the shoulder straps started coming apart. I used it throughout a semester of law school, which involved carrying heavy books and a laptop regularly. By the end of the semester, it didn't look like the bag was going to hold up for another one. I switched to a Timbuk 2 messenger back. The strap on the messenger bag looks a lot more durable than the shoulder straps on this backpack. If you never, or rarely, carry heavy stuff in this backpack and if you never just use one shoulder strap even for a few minutes, this backpack might hold up for a while. But if you really need the capacity that this bag is supposed to provide and you want to use the backpack regularly, you're better off finding something a lot more durable.

Gregory Z35 Backpack
This is my fifth Gregory pack, but one of my least favorite. I bought the Z35 to replace my 1992 Mountainsmith Bugaboo. That pack cost $235 when adjusted for inflation, and has been repurposed as a canyoneering pack. Thanks to the wonders of globalization and the outsourcing of labor and materials, the Z35 was half the cost. I've found it to be a relatively decent enough pack, but have (as always) some nitpicks that knock a few stars off my rating.One issue is the curved nature of the pack bag. I recognize this is an inherent issue with any pack that creates an air space between your back and the load, but it is still an annoyance to load and unload. I didn't take a star off for this, as that's a relatively acceptable trade off for a cooler back.
My second complaint is the access zipper on the front that allows you to get to the upper portion of the pack bag. This has limited utility, as it's only slightly more convenient than simply going in from the top of the bag. Of course, a lower zipper would be preferable, but with the front stuff pocket, that's not going to happen.
Now, my two significant issues...
THE HIP BELT BUCKLE IS NOT USER-REPLACEABLE! When your hip buckle breaks (and it will at some point most likely at the most inopportune time), you cannot simply slide another one on. The buckle is sewn into place on both sides to facilitate the "ergo-pull" tightening system (you know, pulling straps towards your center, rather than away). I suppose it could be repaired in field if you bring a VERY heavy-duty needle and thread and some sort of stitching ripper, but expect your repair time to be measured in hours rather than seconds. This drawback isn't unique, my Osprey Kestrel 48 has the same problem, but it isn't unavoidable either, as my Gregory Palisade demonstrates.
Secondly, any sort of spine flexion will push the cross-bar of the "CrossFlo DTS" suspension into your lower back, particularly when the pack is loaded. This isn't painful, but isn't very comfortable either. Keeping your back straight and only bending at the hips will help somewhat, but it the weight of your load and gravity will conspire to push that damnable "X" into you.
So, in summary; the Z35 is an acceptable, but not great, pack for heavy dayhikes or light overnighters.

I love having a separate sleeve for my computer so I don't have to worry about it getting scratched in whatever bag I need to throw it in for the day. I like the mac case messenger bag because it's roomy & has lots of pockets for organizing. I also ordered separate the cases that I can put my cords in. This bag makes it easy for me to keep all my paperwork/books/manuals etc..for the project I bought my computer for all together & to have it wherever I need to take it. I like the non-slip back & the neon inside. It's bigger than some people might want to carry around, but it's effective & practical for what I need.

Dakine Women's Classic Hip Pack
I purchased this to carry a few items when I walk my dogs and do not have pockets. It can hold my keys, treats, dog bags, and chapstick, maybe a couple of other small items. It is a good size for this purpose, however, if I wanted to hold any more than this, or larger items, it would not work. The product is well made, easy to put on and adjust, and I am happy with it.

Well.....every RN out there knows how valuable a really good hip pack is at work....and just how hard it is to find a good quality one that is functional and trendy looking. I was hopeful with this one.....but realized quickly that it was pretty much completely useless while on the job. It is very stiff and way too small. I tried putting my credit card, cash, lip glass, cell phone in the front pocket.....it wasn't happening. It only fit my money/credit card and lip gloss....that is IT.....and when I unzipped it, my credit card fell on the floor. The larger compartment had my pens, skinny highlighters, bandage scissors, alcohol pads, saline syringes......and again, I had to leave it unzipped bc it was so small in space and the items would fall out. It is pretty much a useless bag for the reason I intended for it's use. I know a hip pack is small and compact but this one took it too far. It is sturdy but holds very little, a comb, ID and credit card,lip balm. forget cigarettes if you are a smoker,or shades if it's in a carryng case.
