My Jack Georges Spikes & Sparrow North/South Messenger Bag is outstanding. I can carry what I need while making a very good appearance even though the outside leather can take rough treatment. Given the pockets inside, it makes finding multiple items very easy. Rather than a cloth lining, however, I'd rather have the interior be all leather. Nevertheless, the bag provides a handy, convenient way of hauling around what essentials you need without loading down coat and pants pockets. I tend to sling the strap in a cross-chest fashion, pushing the bag itself behind me, thereby giving me easy freedom of movement. We bought this for our son's birthday. Within a week of owning it, the zipper for the front pocket broke and the bag is basically worthless since the front pocket simply sags wide open now. Anything that is put in that pocket will just fall out. Further, since it sags, you can't see the pokemon pictures.

My 3yr old son loves his fireman backpack! It is the perfect size for him and he can put toys in all the side pockets, while I put an extra set of clothing and sippy cup in the main section. The plaid is more of a turquoise and brown than it looks on my computer. The interior is a very bright medium turquoise color. This is a solidly built small pack. I use it every weekday toting my essentials to and from my job. I have had it for a few months and it shows NO signs of wear. This is not the right pack for someone who wants frills or interior organization-there are no little sleeves to hold your pens or pencils, no little key ring, nothing. It does have 2 exterior zippered pockets-an upper smaller one with a lightweight fleece lining for sunglasses and a larger one beneath that easily holds my large-ish cellphone, my ipod in a plastic box, keys, tissues and other small bits and pieces. The larger main compartment has two zippers with matching fabric pulls and easily holds a small purse, a lightweight sweater, a tablet or kindle and still has room leftover.

This is a wonderful backpack. It's made of a sturdy material that doesn't rip. It'll hold 3 college textbooks and a laptop in the main compartment, although it is a tight fit (and that is my ONLY complaint, I wish the main pocket was larger). I got this backpack to replace my retired icon motosport backpack. I love alpinestars but this backpack was the smallest bag I have ever used. Despite the really cool button release and usefull water resistant zippers, This bag deserves a remake with a much bigger cargo space. I found the only useful thing is the laptop compartment but you really cant fit much else in here, and Im a small guy 5'9" 185lbs. Im going to have to return this with much regret I love the logo and color but it is simply not practicel for 140 bucks. Maybe 60 or even 80 but not this much. Also when I ride the flaps are all over the place because you need to lock in all the harnesses. ALPINESTARS please review your product and revise accordingly, still love you guys tho, but fail item.

Obviously, I love this bag! I have a 15.6 inch Toshiba Satellite. My laptop fits perfectly in the bag. There is an elastic strap with velcro to hold the computer in, so it can't accidentally fall out when you are removing it, or packing it. There are a ton of compartments for the laptop accessories. I think if I filled them all up, I probably couldn't carry the bag.

Targus is known for making sturdy backpacks for an inexpensive price that will outlast most of the other brands. We have bought two of these Targus backpacks since 2004. I can tell you firsthand that the only problem we have ever had are with the zippers. The first backpack we bought in 2004 had a zipper which came off track after wear when it was 10 months old. I contacted Targus at their website, as they have a limited lifetime warranty and they sent us a new backpack, even after 10 months! Who does that? Other than the zipper issue, the nylon backpacks wear like iron. I had two of these (the second was a replacement from Amazon). The first lasted one month. The second, six months, and only because I was extra careful. It is a good looking backpack, but with serious design issues in my opinion. Both ragged at the same point -at the top, right above the front socket. The polyester of that section seems different than the material in the rest of the backpack. I think it is too thin to endure normal college use, not to mention the tension due to the weight of a 16 inch laptop or some books. I've waited a few months since I got this backpack to see how it would hold up. It's not doing so well.
I have tried many packs and when this pack was recommended by a guide, I thought I would give it a try. IT IS AMAZING. The pack is constructed from a material called GrizHide and is extremely quiet and rugged. This thing was designed to last! To date it has proven to be waterproof in torrential downpours and one submersion when I slipped during a water crossing. The rifle/bow pouch and straps are a lifesaver when you need both hands free such as when climbing is a necessity. With the cushioned shoulder straps, this pack is extremely comfortable to carry, even when full. With all the features this pack has, this is now my "go to" pack and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pack that will be the last one they will need for a long, long time.

I love the design. It's even more distinctive in person. However the case gets 4 instead of 5 stars because it's somewhat over-sized for an IPad.Very attractive and functional sleeve case for ASUS tablet. Received compliments. I ordered this backpack for my son who goes to daycare, it is the perfect size for him! He is about 32" tall and around 23lbs. I pack his water bottle, a snack box, a small toy, a book, and his stuffed animal and there is still extra room for two diapers and wipes if we're not taking along the diaper bag. This cannot be a school backpack, you won't be able to pack a notebook and a lunch box inside of it.
Really cute backpack but gets dirty easily. Only had it a couple of months and the front snap is broken and front pocket has a hole in it. Not very durable for the price.
Really stylish, and really practical backpack for the college student. There's not a huge amount of pockets, but I don't really need them seeing as I'm only ever carrying around books, and iPad, and pencils. My only complaint is that there is no place for a water bottle, and I carry one around myself, but it's not a huge deal, and those kind of pockets would compromise the style of the backpack. Getting it here is so much cheaper than getting it at Urban Outfitters.
I bought this pack two years ago for my senior year in high school as a replacement for my previous large and heavy backpack that fell apart in one semester. The JanSport poacher is compact yet high set, so it holds a lot without sacrificing space. I hated how deep my previous backpack was and wanted something smaller, versatile and sleek. The pack lasted all year and served as a travel pack on multiple occasions and continues to hold together in college. The pack's construction is strong and light; the styling is sleek and the fit is great on the move. It takes a couple days to get used to the high back design, but after a year i have learned to prefer it. There has been no fraying on the shoulder strap adjusters after a two years of hourly adjustmentsit is hard to remove with the high back with long arms but again it proves no hassle. It holds my 15 inch laptop and charger in a side compartment adjacent to the back padding, keeping great balance with the added gear. It was the most expensive backpack I've purchased so far (price is still half the cost of any other quality backpack e.g., Swiss Gear), but the product was worth it and goes on to live another year. I have no need to replace it and won't until something tears. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that hates big or ripping backpacks.

Great gym bag. Perfect size for 1 pair of shoes, socks, shorts, and shirt. Also fits nicely in a locker. However, the picture shows a shoulder strap. Mine did not come with the strap.
