sugarSNAP Files Customizable Diaper Bag Organizer Mesh Pouches, with Labels

sugarSNAP Files Customizable Diaper Bag Organizer Mesh Pouches, with LabelsThese bags are the best! I bought a set for my hubby to put in a diaper bag backpack I bought him for his first ever Father's Day. I loved that the system has labeled tabs. It makes it easier for him to remember what to pack, and it comes with a little laminated packing list that was very helpful for him being a new dad. Also, the front side of each bag is mesh so you can see what's in every bag when you are looking for something and quickly check what needs to be replenished.

If you are worried about the price I'd say forget about that and just buy them! These are great quality and will last you a long time...and Zip Lock bags add up after a couple years...and you aren't adding to landfills, exposing your child to toxins from plastic or wasting natural resources with these little gems!

I liked the system so much I got a second set for myself that does not have labeled tabs since I get a little more creative with my packing. I can see that these bags will be great in the future for traveling with a toddler so you can keep track of those tiny clothes in a big suitcase. To the mom that said they are bad quality, I just don't get that. Both set I bought are great quality!

The only thing I would say this set is missing is a wet bag. Sugar Snaps, can we get a wet bag or two with your set since we need a place to put those dirty clothes and gooey stuff??? I'm sure you guys can come up with a creative way to tie it into the wonderful system you've given us :)

I absolutely love this product!!! A friend and I were at a baby shower sifting through our purses/diaper bags and discussing how we could never find anything in the "endless pit." We both talked about how we wished we had something to help keep things separated. Later that afternoon I was searching online for some product that would remedy our issue. I found these beautiful files and ordered them right away. I debated the price for a bit but thought about how many times I have bought new diaper bags trying to be more organized. I like the look but they are never functional or look to "diaper-bag-ish." Now I can take any bag I love using this file system and any diaper bag OR purse will work as a diaper/mom bag. I love that I can just grab the whole thing out and switch it to whatever bag I want. Today as I was running errands with my 3 kids under 5, I reached in to grab something and it was SO much quicker than ever before. I don't have to re-organize my purse every time I leave the house now. I will definitely be ordering the car set in the future! LOVE THIS PRODUCT! Thank you ladies for coming up with a beautiful and functional solution for real moms. I will continue to refer friends.

If I could recommend one baby registry item that's creative and thoughtful for a new mom, it would be this! I never dig in my diaper bag anymore now that I have these SugarSNAP Files. I love that you can personalize these to hold what you carry whatever it is. The bags can be detached to send off with Dad (because he won't need your make-up kit) and tossed back in the diaper bag when he gets home. Or you can clip a bag to your stroller and avoid lugging a huge diaper bag into the grocery store just for a few groceries.

These nifty little zipper pouches will save you time by keeping you organized. Love them!

I loved these pouches when they arrived! Great idea but they fell apart within weeks of using them. The loops to hold the hardware on came undone and then the mesh fabric separated from the back/bottom fabric. I am very gentle with my things and these bags still fell apart. I used them in my Petunia Pickle bag and never really took them out of the bag I would just unzip while still in the diaper bag and get the items out. I am in the process of returning these to Amazon. I would love to find a similar product because I love having an organized diaper bag but I will not pay over $40 for mesh bags that fall apart! Might as well just use zip lock baggies!

I was so excited to receive my SugarSNAP files! I had kept my eye on them for a while, seeing them pop up in many places around the internet and finally bit the bullet when I was able to use some credit card points to get them for 1/2 price here on Amazon! They are everything I hoped for and MORE!

Unlike many comments I've read through saying they wish the bags were bigger I thought the bags were perfectly sized and able to fit more than I even needed. The 3 larger bags in the back are all the same size (I often wished they listed the dimensions of all 5 bags) I don't have exact measurements, but its good to the know the rear 3 bags are all the same large size and the front two offer a "medium" and a "small" that being said, even the small fit TONS of stuff in it!

I like the sizing of this set because yes it's made for daiper bags, but I currently have a 2 year old and we don't carry around his daiper bag anymore. So the fact that this can fit inside my purse is a major plus (given I have a large purse, love the big hobos!) but the point is it can easily transition. We also have our first family vacation this year at the end of the summer I am greatly looking forward to utilizing these files to organize for that trip!

I do wish they could come a little cheaper but after doing TONS of research and googling these really are worth the price for what the market offers right now. The quality is excellent, it has a modern pattern and great color options everything else I found comparable was plastic, cheaply made, and/or ugly and dated for not much less.

Purple PU Leather-like Material Laptop Backpack School Bag Stylish for School

Purple PU Leather-like Material Laptop Backpack School Bag Stylish for SchoolMy package arrived in august and I can't even remember all the complements I've gotten on it.

Pros:

More than enough space. I can fit two textbooks, three smaller books and my over sized notebook paper.

Looks really cool.

Many pockets to organize stuff in.

Inside padding for a laptop, but no strap to hold it in place.

Cons:

My zipper caught and ripped the leather-type fabric and the rip keeps getting bigger (still smaller than a quarter and hardly noticeable except when zipping + unzipping but disappointing none the less.) Maybe if i glue the "leather" to the underneath padding that problem will be fixed...

Tends to hurt my shoulders but like I said I am carrying around a lot of books. This is my first year of college so I'm not used to carrying around so much.

it smelled really odd when I first got it, but smells normal now.

Sooooo although I don't regret buying it for the price i bought it for, if it breaks i probably will buy a different backpack to replace it.

I was surprised at the price for this type of bag, took a shot bought this for a family member, shipping was prompt, came in odd shaped package but not a problem. Been a week, heard it's been working and holding up great. Im pleased with my purchase.

Dakine Duel Pack

Dakine Duel Pack, BlackI travel every weekend about 8 months out of the year so I need a good pack as my second carry on along with my roller bag. This Dakine Dual pack has just enough space in it to pack the main compartment full and still be able to fit my Macbook in the back notebook sleeve. The straps are padded nicely so when the bag is heavy it does not put too much strain on the shoulders. The front pockets are small but surprisingly hold a lot of things. Also you gotta love the cooler pocket on the front to keep drinks cold.

I love this backpack. Being 6', I needed length enough to suit my torso that would give me support without looking bulky, and this pack does it for me! Held up very well my first semester and still looks virtually new. Staying on campus for long hours at a time, having that mini-cooler is especially handy! (even for keeping electronics safe from hot days.)I also found the skateboard straps useful for holding a sweater or raincoat. Highly recommend. ......and how awesome is the color?! ;)

Dakine Duel Pack Laptop sleeve Two Water Bottle Holsters Plenty of room. I fill the back pack with all kinds of electronics, cameras, phones, laptop, plugs, and folders. I always bring a water bottle around with me. It has plenty of small and large pockets to keep things. The shoulder straps are nice and padded. It looks cool too.

I ordered this pack when my last Dakine ripped after several years of heavy use. It seems like a strong and durable bag and looks great. It is a little smaller than I was expecting. I use it mostly for school and the main pocket and the small front pockets are all a little small. But it is still plenty big for most people. I can fit my 15" laptop and 2 books in it. If you need space for more than that then go for a larger bag. My previous bag was the Dakine Campus large backpack. It is bigger but not as comfortable.

This pack is very comfortable and stays close to your back and doesn't sag when you load it up. It is a great bag and if it were just a tiny bit larger I would have given it 5 stars. If I could give it 4.5 I would. I would recommend it to anyone as long as they don't need a huge pack.

update: After 9 months of daily use this pack has held up well and still looks new. I wear it everyday and it has been very comfortable and durable. It's still a little small at times but should be sufficient for most people and it stays flat against the back and doesn't sag like some larger packs. I still recommend it.

I purchased this pack to act as a diaper bag for our summer trip. I love the built in cooler and two water bottle areas (I use these for sippy cups). Overall I love all the compartments and comfort of the pack. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was due to the weight of the pack it is a bit heavy due to all the extra padding in the laptop area. The skateboard clips are the perfect area for carring jackets too.

Olive Green Nylon Quilted 14 inch Laptop Notebook Sleeve Bag Carry Case w/Handle for Compatible bra

Olive Green Nylon Quilted 14 inch Laptop Notebook Sleeve Bag Carry Case w/Handle for Compatible brandsSize:

This is a close-but-not-too-snug fit for my 15in MacBookPro. Even with a hard case on said MBP, it would still fit without the zippers rubbing directly against it. I actually would not want to use this for a 13in MBP (which it is advertised for) because it would have way too much room to wiggle around.

Padding:

This is not a very thickly-padded case, so I would not advise to use this as a stand-alone protective case 100% of the time.

Portability:

Excellent. Will keep laptop from being scratched inside a larger bag, while not taking up any excess room. Can also work for the occasional solo-carry, including a charger, USB and/or slim external, and a few other things. The zipper on the outside pocket is great (though warning: I am not sure how well it will hold up!) because I don't have to worry about any of said extras falling out.

I would actually prefer the outside zipper NOT be around 3 sides, but that does allow for quick access on the go.

Material:

The new-nylon smell is already wearing off. I have not spilled any water directly on it, but the case seems it could protect from incidental spillage.

Look:

The brown is a little darker than the picture shows, which I prefer.

Any questions, respond to this comment and I will do my best to answer!

The sleeve cames with several black pen mark like stains on the quilter pink. the stitching is uneven and frazzeled, and the colous is much brighter and cheaper looking than online.

Timbuk2 Commute 2.0 Laptop Messenger Bag

Timbuk2 Commute 2011 Messenger Bag, Gunmetal/Rev Red/Gunmetal, SmallFor reference, I purchased the medium-sized grey/white/grey bag Timbuk2 Commute 2.0. I am using this bag primarily for my daily commute to work (~4 miles roundtrip by bicycle) and air travel.

This was my first Timbuk2 purchase and at the two month mark I am very pleased. I purchased this bag after my last messenger (Swiss Gear) disappointingly fell apart after about 2 months of moderate use. Just looking at the construction and feeling the quality of materials I can tell the Timbuk2 is going to with me for a long, long time.

I considered a few of the trendier labels (Chrome, Manhattan Portage, Crumpler), but in the end the price, functionality, and aesthetic of the Timbuk2 just fit my personal needs perfectly. In terms of aesthetics, I like that my bag is kinda sporty and fun if I'm using it for leisure, but also businessy enough that I can use it with a shirt and tie. For what it's worth, I managed to snag my bag on the cheap from an Amazon Marketplace seller for $59. :)

Following are a few thoughts I had on the bag:

Construction & Durability (Grade = A)

==========

I've only had the bag for two months, but it has held up perfectly thus far and I envision it still going strong for many years to come. After two months of daily use, it basically still looks and feels like new.

The seamwork, fabric, zippers, and design are all of very high quality, and you can tell just by holding it that the bag was built to last. It might begin to fall apart if you are extremely rough with it or if you are a professional bike courier, but for the average person it'll probably last at least a decade.

Size (M) (Grade = A)

==========

I've been pleasantly surprised at how much my bag (medium) can fit -I typically carry a Canon EOS 20D DSLR + lens, small laptop & accessories, business papers, a couple books, a spare t-shirt, a whole bevy of electronic gadgets and there is still room for more. My main laptop is pretty small at 13.1" and quite thin, and fits into the laptop pocket with ample space. Do be sure to check your laptop dimensions though... my other laptop is a 15.4" and does not fit in the medium laptop pocket.

Fit & Comfort (Grade = B with stock strap pad, A with Grip Pad)

==========

Initially, I was a bit skeptical that the bag didn't have any way of attaching a cross-strap for stability while riding. For this and for comfort reasons, I decided to purchase the Grip Strap Pad with my bag and I couldn't be happier. In my opinion, the grip pad should be the standard pad that comes with the bag, and is an essential buy to make the bag more comfortable and functional. With the grip pad, the bag hardly ever slips off my back when I'm riding.

The laptop chamber with it's corduroy back padding helps keep the bag from losing its shape. It is firm yet supple, so that the bag feels sturdy and comfortable on your back. With a rigid back, I was afraid the bag would slide around on my back but if the strap is properly adjusted I find the bag to be nicely form fitting and very little unintentional sliding occurs.

Design Features (Grade = B+ as stock, A with Slider Case)

==========

(+) Swivel joints on the strap make it so that the strap hardly ever twists/tangles.

(+) Strap has quick-release adjustment buckle which makes adjusting the strap a cinch.

(+) Good organizational pockets underneath main flap.

(+) Rubber bottom and waterproof fabric lining the main flap.

(+) Corduroy laptop lining keeps laptop safe and allows bag to keep its shape.

(+) Strong and well-positioned handle so it can be carried briefcase-style.

(+) Velcro on main flap keeps flap secure if you're too lazy to buckle/unbuckle.

(+) TSA-approved laptop sleeve makes going through security a little easier.

(-) The Grip Pad probably should have been included as stock.

(-) No quick access pockets on the exterior of the main flap.

This issue was solved for me by purchasing the Slider Case which gives me access to my mp3 player right on my strap.

I am an ITS major with a lot of gadgets, a laptop, thick manual like books, graphing calculator, and the occasional red bulls/water that I need to carry around on a daily basis. I have had the bag since 2/23/2010 and have not had a single problem to date.

I love the Commute 2.0 for my MBP(5,1) 15in as it fits the laptop like a glove (tight, but secure tight) and separates it from the rest of the objects that I need to carry around which could potentially break the screen if carried right next to each other. The primary decision revolved around this laptop and so far the bag has not let me down at all in that respect.

For books, this messenger bag can carry quite a few (two binders, sketch book, two notebooks, 1in thick book, and a 2 1/4") books with no problem. The weight is distributed nicely around the entire strap and I don't find myself constantly switching shoulders or switching to the handle. The handle, btw, is a nice addition if you are just happening to carry the bag a short distance and don't find the need to pull the bag over a shoulder.

The only con so far is that the braces (what the shoulder strap clips on to) for the shoulder strap are made our of metal and the clips for the strap itself are made out of plastic. This leads to a squeak, not that it is a deal breaker, but is rather annoying while walking.

I am glad to have gotten the product from Amazon (amazingly fast shipping considering I ordered the supersaver -3 days total for the bag to be processed, shipped, and delivered) and entirely satisfied with the bag itself.

I've been using this bag for a few months now and travel pretty regularly. It was advertised as "TSA compliant" and, I have to say, this is one of the best things about this bag. It's so much easier to go through security. I can spend more time fussing with my boot zippers than dealing with taking my laptop out of my bag!

The bag also has a ton of great organization pockets and overall, it's just a really comfortable fit. It looks causal but professional at the same time. I'm really happy with this bag and definitely recommend it!

After being a frequent flier for the past year with this bag, I like it, but I don't love it.

I want to love this bag. Timbuk2 has cultivated a reputation for very well-made and well-designed travel gear. Timbuk2 is the Apple of bags -you pay a premium, but you are paying for excellent design. I get it. I even embrace it. I want to pay extra for a bag that's perfectly designed. But unfortunately this bag isn't it.

This bag is supposed to be the briefcase of their line best suited for frequent airline travel.

I do like several things about the bag. The material is sturdy and waterproof. I like that the bag closes with both velcro (for quick use) and clips (for maximum security). I do like the TSA-friendly laptop compartment in back, and the pocket in the laptop compartment designed to hold papers for easy access.

But there are, to my eye, some design shortcomings in this bag:

The big interior pocket is not padded at all. I travel with my laptop, which goes in the laptop compartment, and also with an iPad, which goes in the main compartment. The bottom of this compartment has no padding at all, so when I set the bag on the floor the contents of that compartment are not protected at all from shock. I had to buy a bulky case for my iPad, just to put it in the bag.

The "hinges" for the straps aren't very well designed. Their odd shape means that if you carry the bag over one shoulder, they have a tendency to turn sideways and bunch up the webbing that holds them on. Also, when the cover of the bag is closed (i.e., most of the time, the bend in the material pokes out and means that the straps are contorting around the corner of the bag, unless you manually adjust where the strap goes.

There is a slit in the back of the bag, designed so that you can slip the bag over a roller-bag's handle and keep the Timbuk2 bag secure while you are rolling. When you have a laptop in the back compartment, however, there is not enough slack in this slit to accommodate a roller-bag handle without great effort. I would love to be able to secure my Timbuk2 bag to my roller's handles but don't even bother trying anymore -it just takes too long to get it on and off of there. A velcro-based wide strap, to go around a roller handle, would be a much more ideal solution here.

With typical loading (maybe it's just me), the bag has a tendency to lean "forward" and not sit upright. This wouldn't be a tremendous problem, except for the fact that you can't easily strap it to a roller bag handle (see above). So, if you are walking through an airport with the Timbuk2 bag resting on top of a roller bag, and stop walking, the Timbuk2 has a tendency to fall off the roller bag and onto the floor. Combine this tendency with the fact that the interior main pocket has no padding at all, and you have potential for damaged contents.

There is an external pocket on one side, but not the other. If you carry the bag over your right shoulder, you have easy access to this pocket. If you carry the bag over your left shoulder, you have no pocket at all. Why not put a pocket on each side?

If you are carrying some papers and want to keep them from sloshing all over the place in the bag, the only place to put them is in the pocket located in the laptop compartment. It would be nice to have an additional "paper" pocket in the main compartment. I carry around a big plastic folder in the back of the main compartment for papers. I wonder why I have to do this.

I want to love this bag but after a year these small design shortcomings have made me want to seek alternatives. I will continue to search for the perfect laptop bag for airline travel. Unfortunately, this isn't it. Perhaps with the Commute 3.0 Timbuk2 will address these shortcomings.

No matter how hard I searched online, including on Flickr, I could not find any review or note that stated if the Small fit the Macbook Pro. The Timbuk2 website says it does but most review stated the Medium just fit it so I decided to try for myself as I wanted to get the smallest size possible. (I hate oversized bags). It fits perfectly! Its a little snug at first but after 2 days it seems to have relaxed a little and I am very happy with the fit and overall size compared to the medium which I also tried.

Samsonite Luggage Pro 3 Laptop Backpack

Samsonite Luggage Pro 3 Laptop Backpack, Black/Orange, One SizeThe included laptop bag which fits into the laptop compartment of this bag WILL NOT hold my MacBook Pro 17", which I recently purchased. Nowhere in any of the literature online about this bag does it say that it will hold a 17" laptop, but the dimensions given for the laptop compartment (upon which I based my decision to purchase this bag) are incorrect. My MacBook Pro 17" measures 15.5" by 10.5" overall, so it should have fit comfortably. The attached tag does say that it fits 15.5" laptops, which is correct. Too bad someone doesn't include that information in the description of the product.

The zipper sewn into the laptop bag was sewn on in the reverse direction, so you actually have to remove the bag entirely from the backpack in order to open it up enough at one end to insert/remove the laptop.

The Velcro piece which is supposed to hold closed the rear rolling luggage extension handle pocket was not sewn on properly and came right off when I slipped my hand down into that area to see how wide it was (although that's not a real problem, just a slip-up in quality control).

The compartments are somewhat strangely configured and sized and not having a lighter, contrasting color in the small objects organizer pocket is, in my opinion, not the best choice.

Otherwise, this bag is attractive, light and seems to be very well made and sturdy, although I will not use it but rather send it back immediately.

Love the material, design, and quality. Don't like the fact that the open area from the back, that links it to other wheeled suitcases is too narrow and wouldn't let most handles go through, even those of the Samsonite luggages! The bag is a bit too heavy in general, and the fact that it's big and can carry a lot, makes it feel as if you're carrying the world on your shoulders! And finally, does't have those plastic base stands in the bottom, so it usually falls off when you put it on the floor.

Samsonite used to make a quality product, but if this bag is any indication, those days are long gone. It's asymmetrical: the stitching is so flawed that its misshape can be noted across a room. The hardware is plastic of the weakest kind: even my light-duty use managed to snap one of the strap buckles the first week. Finally, it's poorly designed; why would Samsonite put the zipper on the interior laptop bag facing in a direction that requires you to completely unzip it all around in order to extract the laptop? And the suitcase slot on the back is too thin to allow any handle through. And the pockets lack organization. I could go on, but hopefully you've gotten the picture. Poor on all fronts, this backpack is unquestionably the worst deal in the work backpack market.

Mizar Smart Pouch for MacBook Air 11 - Gray/WhiteThis is a high quality and stylish pouch for my 11" MacBook Air. It also doubles as an elevated stand nicely angled for better keyboard access. STM Bags Ranger Small Laptop Backpack

STM Ranger Backpack with Removable Computer Sleeve and Integrated iPad/Tablet Pocket for 13-Inch MacBooks and LaptopsI really like the removable laptop sleeve with a zipper that goes around two sides, making it easy to slip my computer into it when it's in the backpack. The backpack does not stand upright on its own when set on the floor, but that's probably to be expected with most backpacks. Rain cover is easy to get on/off. Key clip in convenient location.

Beverly Hills Country Club Malibu Three-Piece Hardside Spinner Set

Travelers Choice Luggage Beverly Hills Country Club Malibu 3 Piece Hardside Spinner Set, Orange, One SizeI bought this luggage for the bright pretty color and the fact that it is a 3-piece set. As the other reviewer stated, it's not the lightest luggage out there, but it does seem to be sturdy and the wheels seem stronger than other rolling luggage I've had in the past. I actually wanted the hardshell "shiny" suitcases you see everywhere. This is not like that. It has an embossed woven cloth texture stamped onto it, and is more of a dull finish. I took it recently on a flight from Portland, OR to Washington DC, and try as they might, the luggage handlers couldn't crush the sides of the big suitcase. It arrived on both ends of the trip intact. It does have light grey trim, zippers and wheels, however, which are already scuffed with black marks from going through the baggage service. I would have preferred it was a darker color to hide dirt better. The luggage comes with a 5-year warranty, so I feel confident taking it on business trips. The "spinning" action works well, and it's easy to drag the suitcases either standing straight up, or leaning over to roll along like regular wheeled luggage.

I travel 100% for work. Last year 176 flights 40+ more this year so far. I've used all three pieces and they work fine, but with a few issues.

A footpad came off one bag, but I always stand it on the wheels so no problem. There are gouges and many scuffs. The bag takes the beating and my contents arrive in great condition. 200+ flights later and the bags are holding up fine if looking worse for wear. Remember, you're buying something to keep your valuables safe for travel. Don't worry about how the bag itself looks.

I've never been overweight when checking in at the airport. Usually below 40 pounds (50 pounds is allowed on Delta). They fit nicely inside one another. Nice for storing while in a hotel room because of limited space.

The spinning wheels have worked fine. The handles have worked fine. The siding is durable. The colors stand out and I find my bags easily. NICE!!!!

When the foot came off, I unzipped the liner to remove the remaining screw (which was sticking out!) and discovered the ugly underside of its construction. I'm sure you'll find the same if you open a wall in your house. Perhaps a can or two? So, don't be upset if you see "how the sausage is made". Just appreciate that the bag works for what it was designed to do. Carry your stuff from one place to the next.

The luggages arrived within 3 days of my order (free shipping). The product looks great.. "Easy to identify" color. My only concern is that the luggages is not as light as they potray them to be. Just for reference. The two big suitcases alone weigh more than 22 lbs as per my handheld luggage balance. All three put to gether 27-28 lbs. I bought these for international travel and I preferred this for its durability, easy to identify, sturdiness and light weight. I am not happy with its weight at all.. I cut the 2 stars just for that..

I only used this set once since it's purchase. All three pieces traveled on four flights. No problems with the casters as I had read about in other reviews. When they arrived they did have a chemical smell that others reviews mentioned. We placed dryer sheets in them and closed them up until we started packing for vacation. This seemed to work fine. The only upset occurred on the first day of use. Each piece has a D-ring on top and comes with a strap to hook two pieces back to back. I hook the smallest piece onto the largest piece. The smaller piece had no more than 10 pounds in it. After a few trips from the parking lot to the hotel room and back, the D-ring broke from the smaller luggage. It's like a rivot holding the ring in. It just snapped from the hard case. It was disappointing, but nothing to ruin the trip over. Once home I thought about contacting for a replacement, but it seemed like more work than anything. Overall happy with the purchase.

On the packaging for this case it says that the MAX dimensions of a laptop that will fit inside are: 14.3" x 0.9" x 9.8" and the dimensions of a 15" MacBook Pro (Purchased new from apple in 2011) are 14.35" x 0.95" x 9.82" ... so it's as simple as that: this case is just not made to fit a 15" MBP. I don't know how you make a case that's specifically designed to fit something that's bigger than the maximum possible space available in that case...

Now a few hundredths of an inch may not seem like a lot, and I didn't think it would be a big deal; I figured a snug fit would be good right? Well this is a little TOO snug as the laptop is not protected at all from the zipper, especially at the corners, where it is really tight and the zipper actually rubs up against the laptop every time you zip and unzip it.

Aside from that... the inside of the case is made from the same material as the outside. The neoprene isn't really the softest material in the world and I feel like the soft plush interior of some of the other cases would better protect the MacBook.

The price attracted me to this case as some of the others are twice as much, but I guess I see why it was half the price now...

So in conclusion, spend the extra cash on a case that is designed to fit your MBP. I will be returning this case for a refund and purchasing a more expensive one that will hopefully fit.

Swissgear Backpack Blac/grey

Swissgear Backpack Blac/greyEverything its fine and the backpack its awesome, just the only detail is that they sell this item as a laptop backpack but it doesn't protect the entire computer.

This is advertised as a Laptop Backpack, but when it arrived there was no padding in the backpack for a laptop. The section for the laptop does not extend all the way up. Consider this if you want an small backpack, but if you get this for your laptop do not expect any significant protection.

It is a beautiful backpack and well built. It is a little bit smaller than I thought, but I like it.

BUILT Neoprene Sleeve for 6-inch e-reader or Tablet, Black

BUILT Neoprene Sleeve for 6-inch e-reader or Tablet, BlackI spent ages looking for a case for my new kindle and was so disappointed with the collection in the Kindle Store. I like to read without a cover on the kindle and was just looking for something to protect the kindle in my bag or when not in use. I was going to purchase the Built Sleeve but wasn't keen about no closure on it as concerned about kindle falling out or other items getting in. This model was on Built's website but not in the Kindle Store and it's perfect for my needs and $10 cheaper which is a plus. The quality of the city grid is fantastic with a fun orange interior, the kindle fits perfectly inside and the zip is angled so no chance of damaging the screen.

Sony PCGA-CCB2 VAIO Notebook Backpack

Sony PCGA-CCB2 VAIO Notebook BackpackThis item is poorly designed and difficult to use. My SONY VAIO laptop is specified in the product description and has to be squeezed into the storage compartment. It will not fit at all when enclosed in the recommended protective Neoprene cover. The "Backpack has no cover flaps and allows for a very limited amount of 8.5"x 11" papers or thin booklets or folders. The interior compartments are also poorly designed and very difficult to use. This item has very limited utility and might be good for someone who wants to tote only a laptop. I am very disappointed with this purchase.

In contrast to the other commentors, I actually love this item. It has a cushioned fitted compartment for the notebook with a velcro strap to secure it; it has many little compartents in the front pocket for cards, pencils, etc..; another velcro-shut flat compartment in the back. You can also fit a spare battery & AC adopter inside the bag. It's a compact design, so if you need to put in more things, go for a bigger bag.

Deuter Giga Flat

Deuter Giga Laptop Backpack: Black/AnthraciteI'm a teacher and I enjoy walking to work in the spring and fall. I like that my computer has its own pocket that also fits my marking. The main bag compartment is big enough for my indoor shoes, my lunch and more. Very happy... And I'm picky!

Higher Ground 10" Mini-Shuttle 2.1

HIGHER GROUND MS010BLK 10 mini - Shuttle in blackThe product arrived on the 5th day, very well packaged. I always like to mention that when the products don't come directly from Amazon. Also, great price, even with shipping less than other websites. The color is a very rich purpleblue. The case is very well made, the "cool dock" is a great little feature, the netbook sits on 4 1/2" pads and this really does dissipate the heat if you have the netbook on your lap. I like the separate side pocket to keep the power cord available hey, I don't know about you but I have more cords for more tech gadgets so it works for me to keep them together when possible. Inside the case has a sturdy velcro strap which keeps the netbook secure when you are out and about, carrying this cute case. The shoulder strap connects easily and works well. I don't plan on using it, so I'm happy that it was not permanently connected. The case is about 3" deep, so it's not one to slip into your purse as if you were just using a neoprene skin, but it does fit easily into a carry on bag. Great case, would recommend to anyone in any color. I feel it's the best value for the money from all the different cases I reviewed before purchasing this brand.

Lenovo Thinkpad Business Backpack 43r2482

Lenovo Thinkpad Business Backpack 43r2482I bought this backpack for simple storage and occasional travel. I don't work outside my home so my needs are different than other backpack users.

I wanted something reasonably priced, compact, easy to use and comfortable for the few times that I would carry it through the airport. It does have provision to slip over the pull up handle of wheeled luggage.

The description says 15.4" but my 15.6 Lenovo SL510 fits on its side in its own padded compartment with padded pillow on the bottom. The little zip pouch is a nice addition as it protects & stores the charging cord in a neat bundle. It's well padded. The fabric is sturdy. I especially like the outside zip storage for my mouse... If I decide to use it at the last minute, there's no need to dig around looking for it.

I think it could use some protective feet on the bottom, but that's not really a big issue.

The pack fits my 5'5" 60 ish female frame comfortably, without a lot of added bulk, whether slung over my shoulder or worn on my back...

I got it for 42 dollars but i do not think this is as great a deal as it could be. The worst thing about the bag is that it is not waterproof so if it rains, you are on your own. I am surprised Lenovo did not think of this. Otherwise my wide-screen SL 500 15.4 laptop fits very nicely in the bag and its numerous pockets for business necessities are good too. It is easy to carry and has a nice cushion at the back. But I wish it were waterproof so I would not have any complaints and would rate is as 5.

Update: After a year of use, I have to say that it is quite a good bag. A thin layer inside is torn but the bag seems more sturdy than I gave it credit for. It also has held out in medium rain so I would like to give it 5 stars now instead of 4. It can be used to store at least one big book with the laptop inside and is good for everyday use. It has definitely lasted better than I thought it would.

Personally, I think you will not regret for this purchase. This bag's quality is very good; room inside is large enough for one 16" laptop and 3 thick textbooks for school use. I also could put my huge bookstand into it, very convenient for school use.

Good Product!

Rothco Vintage Explorer Messenger Bag

Rothco Vintage Explorer Messenger BagI was in the market for a new, everyday messenger bag for my laptop and various things I carry with me throughout the day. I decided to go with this vintage canvas bag for its simplicity and clean appearance.

Pros:

1) Very nice looking. The bag is a nice clean color accented only by the leather straps and belts. It's simple, with no overly decorative garbage like many of the messenger bags I see today.

2) Zippers closed. I like the fact that the bag zippers on the inside. My last bag did not, and I didn't appreciate the value of the zipper until this bag. I feel much more secure on my bike knowing that my stuff isn't going to pop out at any second.

3) Plenty of compartments. At first, I thought that this bag didn't have that many compartments, but in truth it's got a perfect amount. Two small ones inside with no closure or flaps, one medium pocket inside that closes with a zipper, one medium pocket outside that closes with velcro, one large pocket outside that closes with zipper, and then the large main compartment inside. I can comfortably throw my stuff in all of these pockets and feel safe about all of them staying put as I zip around the city.

4) Really cool/useful leather attachment strap on the outside of the bag. This is tough to explain, since this is the first time I've had this feature on a bag, but this bag has a very simple leather belt attached to the side of the bag that you can secure things into. For example, I commonly use it to hold my coffee thermos, water bottle, or newspaper. It sort of cinches an item to the side of the bag, and then it just dangles off the bag, rather than take up space in a pocket or compartment.

Cons:

1) Leather straps aren't actually functional. The bag closes using a zipper, and then the flap attaches to the bag via velcro. My velcro is already beginning to wear out, and I'm considering sewing in some high-power magnets to compensate. Be aware that the leather straps on this bag are decorative only, and don't actually serve any purpose on the bag.

2) The external leather strap that is on the side of the bag does not feel very strong. The leather belt feels strong, like it will hold up over time. However the part of the bag that the leather belt connects to feels like a cheap leather patch that is ready to tear the first time I attach something heavy. For fear of this tearing, I never attach anything heavy. I only ever attach my empty coffee thermos, empty water bottle, or newspaper/rolled-up magazine.

3) On receiving the bag, before I ever used it, there were a couple (maybe 4 or 5) small nicks in the canvas material of the bag. Nothing that compromises the structure of the bag, just small little imperfections in the weaving of the canvas. No defects in the stitching or seams.

Overall, I feel like this is a great bag, and the canvas makes it pretty resilient to wear and tear. This makes a great every day bag that looks clean, functions very well, and still has that classic vintage feel to it. I highly recommend if you're in the market for a new shoulder/messenger bag.

*UPDATE (5/26/2013) after more than a year of daily use of this bag, it's recently (past three months) started to deteriorate. As I previously stated, the outside canvas is holding up like a CHAMP, however the inside cloth that lines the varying pockets/compartments has all but completely come apart at the seams, literally. Now, regardless of which compartment I open, there's just one big place to put all my things inside the bag, as a result of the loss of the fabric that once separated the pockets. To the bag's credit, the leather straps, zippers, velcro, and every other part have held up like brand new, however that inside cloth separation has fallen apart completely. Bag is still 100% functional, just not as organized.

Just took this bag on a 8-day tour of Peru, and it was great! Used it as a carry-on bag for flights and had enough room to hold the necessary items. The large, zippered outside compartment held paperwork and other thin items. I used the small, zippered inside pocket to hold little things like pen, keys, hand wipe packets, etc. Sturdy, rugged construction so I didn't worry about it falling apart on the trip.

Like others who reviewed this bag, I thought the two buckled straps on the outside were only decorative. But one day on the trip it became too warm to wear my fleece jacket. I took off the jacket but did not want another item to carry around. I didn't have enough room inside the bag to stow it. It then occurred to me to roll up my jacket and use the straps to fasten my jacket to the bag. It worked perfectly! The adjustable straps tightened enough so my jacket was secure. Since this is vintage style bag, my boyfriend suggested that the straps were used in the old days to carry a bedroll. Whatever the reason, the straps on this bag have a practical purpose just need a little imagination to figure out how to use them!

The item itself is nice. I like the design , the size is a little smaller then i expected it to be defiantly not for carrying allot of things. I could fit about 2 notebook and a binder with some room to spare. I wouldn't recommend this for any student I wouldn't try to put any books (textbooks) in there.

As for the service, i love amazon and all that it is. But i got this bag without a strap, i don't know how could someone get sent a bag without a strap especially since it's not removable... now i have find time to visit the post office, while having to pay for the shipping back.

I was looking for a medium sized messenger bag with a retro look and this bag fits the bill. It is rugged and roomy, exactly what I needed, and it matches my luggage set to boot. I think anyone who buys this will be quite satisfied. It's even large enough to hold my 17" laptop.

While I definitely like the simple, clean look of this bag, I really wish that the main internal compartment was a bit bigger. Once you get a laptop with sleeve in there (I have a 13" Macbook), there really isn't a whole lot more space. It could also benefit from two external pockets rather than just the one in order to help with organization of small items.

Granite Gear Torso Nimbus Core Pack

Granite Gear Torso Nimbus Core PackI bought this pack, hoping to replace an older, panel loading Granite Gear pack that I absolutely adored (Nimbus Latitude). There was little in the way of information, but I thought I would take the risk and see if I liked it. I did not, so I returned it.

First, the pack is not that big. I would estimate 3200 cubes, at max. If you want to carry a bear canister, and precious little else, then this is the pack for you. I don't carry a bear canister, but after putting my compressed down sleeping bag, pad, a rolled up jacket, and food in the main compartment, there was no more room left. I could have jammed more stuff inside, but the panel that covers the compartment is only so big. If that panel was wider, it would have been better.

The main compartment has another flaw, in my opinion, there is no true bottom to it. The pack is basically the two side pockets with a flap that goes between them.

Also, the compression straps are attached really strange. They are mounted opposite of each other. You have to pull both sides to the right to tighten them down, instead of the more logical arrangement of pulling them towards each other. Also one of the bottom buckles is attached to a 1 inch strap and you need to feed the other side underneath the stretch pocket to get to it. This is nearly a herculean effort when the bag is packed to capacity, which it will be, because it's so small.

Despite it's flaws, it seemed well made. I was a big fan of padding and overall comfort of the pack. I was really disappointed overall, I really wanted to love the pack, but I ended up hating it and returning it.
