Nasa Shuttle Buzz Aldrin Rolling Pilot Case
It's a decent bag, and about the only space shuttle one we could find, but IT IS NOT A BACKPACK. AND YES I AM YELLING! We contacted the seller asking if we were missing straps or something and this was the response:"Please note that this item is a Rolling Backpack, which is a common term for these trolley or rolling bags. The item is indeed a rolling bag, as it does not have straps to be able to wear on one's back."
Am I the only one that assumes that the word 'backpack' in the description should imply that it is actually a backpack?

I bought this bag after owning Ju Ju Be Between and Colombia backpack. They both didn't work for me very well.I was looking for a bag that wouldn't look like a diaper bag but would still have the organization for the few things you need for a toddler. This bag looks like a school bag and is great I can fit a change of clothes for my boy, a couple of toys, sippy cups, some snacks and of course diapers and wipes. For myself I carry wallet, keys, cell phone and a bottle of water. Just enough for a short trip.
This bag is very narrow, so the outside bottle pockets are snug you can have baby's cups/bottles there, but not a Sigg bottle. A Sigg would fit in the inside bottle pocket though (I have an Oggi stainless steal 26oz and it fits but I still carry it inside the pockets are not very deep).
Because it is so narrow and the outside pockets (the back compartment and the mommy pocket) are flat, they steal from the inside space and it's a little hard to reach the bottom of the bag. So I just roll the spare clothes in a Ziploc and push them to the bottom and have all the rest of stuff on them works for me. Despite being so narrow, this bag stands on it's own a pleasant surprise.
As for the stroller straps they are on Velcro, so if you take them on and off the stroller opening the Velcro, they probably won't last a long time. I just left them on the stroller and attached a couple of carabiners to them to put the bag on because the ones they have are small and hard to open.
The backpack transition is not very easy you have to remove the strap from the shoulder position completely and reorganize it for the backpack. To put it on you bag you have to use both hands simultaneously because the strap slides inside the loop, but once you have it there it works fine. Also, it's great having this option.
It's not fancy the hardware is plastic, and there is a Velcro closer on the back compartment (I would prefer magnetic or a zipper). But as I said it's great for the price, looks sturdy and I don't feel like I need to be careful with it just use it. Also looks like I'll be able to throw it in the washer.
This would be perfect if it was two inches shorter and not so narrow, but really great otherwise.

Case Logic 15.6" Laptop and Tablet Case
Was looking for a new case and stumbled upon this once by chance. It is a perfect fit for my laptop, mouse, tablet, external hd, external power supply & cords. Even with all this stuff it did not make the case bulky in shape which is great when i travel. Best case I've had hands down.
ѾѾѾѾ Recommended with warm fuzzies (but better suited for laptops with compact slim AC adapters).
The first thing that I noticed about this laptop briefcase was how light and slim it was. This briefcase only weighs 21 ounces (1 pound 5 ounces), including the shoulder strap, which is lighter than many laptop bags. The exterior feels like soft neoprene while all interiors are lined with nylon. The main laptop compartment has dimensions of 15.25 inches wide and 11.25 inches deep, and can accomodate a laptop of 15.2"x10.5"x1.7". Inside the main laptop compartment is an 8.0-inch wide sleeve that perfectly fits my iPad 2. My iPad 2 is covered with the excellent Targus VuScape Protective Cover/Stand for Apple iPad 2 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, WiFi and WiFi + 3G THZ044US (Black/Blue Interior), and this interior tablet sleeve is nicely sized to hold my iPad securely with the Targus cover left on. The Targus cover doubles the thickness of the iPad to 0.7 inches thick, but it will still easily fit inside the tablet sleeve.
Because the briefcase is fairly slim, however, storing the iPad with its Targus cover, my Dell 15-inch laptop, and the Dell's chunky AC adapter made for a very snug fit. I initially stored the AC adapter vertically along one edge of the laptop compartment, but, even then, it zipped up into a bulging compartment that also put extra strain on the main zipper. Finally, I decided that it was just easier to carry the AC adapter in the outside zippered compartment. This creates a bulging outer pocket, but it is easier and quicker to store the AC adapter in the outer compartment than to arrange it each time vertically squeezed into one side of the main laptop compartment. And with my AC adapter squeezed inside the main compartment, I worried about straining the main compartment's zipper too much. The outside zippered compartment is almost as wide and high as the main laptop compartment, albeit not as deep. The inside wall of this outside zippered compartment has another zippered pocket that is as wide as the main briefcase and can also hold a tablet, and I sometimes store my iPad inside this pocket instead. This outer pocket may be used as a tablet storage option if you have a thicker laptop and you need extra room inside the main laptop compartment. The rear of the briefcase has a small zippered pocket and a trolley pass-through sleeve for slipping this briefcase onto the pull-handle of another luggage.
The included shoulder strap is comfortable. However, I would have much preferred that the shoulder strap used metal clips. Instead, the shoulder strap uses plastic clips that clip onto plastic D-rings on the briefcase. While I prefer metal D-rings instead of plastic D-rings for durability, I really dislike these kinds of plastic shoulder strap clips when used on a briefcase that is carrying the weight of a laptop (and tablet). And over time, the plastic clips can fatigue and bend or break after repeatedly attaching/detaching the shoulder strap by pressing down on the plastic, or by the weight of the loaded briefcase repeatedly straining the J-shaped hook of the plastic clips.
Overall, this is a good basic nicely-styled briefcase for a 15-inch laptop. The tablet storage sleeve feature is nice, but since many laptop bags and briefcases already have extra zippered compartments that can separately store a tablet anyway, I think that this tablet sleeve feature only adds a moderate amount of uniqueness to the design. This is a fine briefcase for carrying back and forth between the office or coffee shop. But in my opinion, it is too lightweight, not padded enough, and not roomy enough to take with me on business trips, air flights, and travel outings. And if your laptop uses an AC adapter that is like a small brick (like my Dell AC adapter), you either have to *squeeze* it into this sleek briefcase's main laptop compartment or keep it in the outside zippered compartment; in both cases, this briefcase's slim profile then no longer looks sleek and bulges outward. Even thin 15-inch Ultrabook laptops often have somewhat chunky AC adapters.
If your 15-inch or smaller laptop uses a slim compact AC adapter and you do not need to carry various other folders/binders, mice, and laptop peripherals, then this briefcase can be quickly packed and retain its nice sleek look, and this briefcase may work just fine for you. But for my needs, especially when traveling through airports, the main interior laptop compartment of this briefcase really needed to be an additional quarter-inch wider/thicker inside it so I could store my AC adapter brick vertically inside without having the nylon/neoprene bulge outward. For carrying my laptop to the office, I can just quickly store my mouse and other peripherals in the outside zippered compartment, which adds protruding bulges to this outside pocket. But when traveling, and for extra protection, I would rather have enough room inside the briefcase to store my mouse.
So I rate this briefcase 4 stars mainly for people who do not have a thick chunky AC adapter and who do not need to carry a larger-sized mouse or too many other peripherals or folders/books/papers. For those people, this is a great briefcase with a slim profile and a light weight. But for my own use, this briefcase is a bit too slim, and if it was just an extra quarter-inch wider/thicker in its main laptop compartment, I would have then rated it 5 stars.

Osprey FlapJack Men's Backpack
Many points to love about this pack:I'm a 5'4" medium-build woman, and it fits me well. I really get tired of the women's designs that are covered in flowers and such I need a pack that works for informal business circumstances, so I don't want to feel like a tween. That's why I chose the FlapJack over the FlapJill. I'm so happy to find that the sizing is a great fit! The pack is light and distributes weight very well the most comfortable commuter pack I've ever owned. Also, because the flap compresses the load, it feels less bulky and is easier to maneuver with than other, non-flap, packs of a similar size.
It's roomy! My 13.3" laptop in a neoprene case fits with room to spare in the padded laptop compartment. I always have that laptop with me, and so far I've combined it with:
a second large laptop, handbag filled with files & paperwork, totally full envelope-style file folder, small camera, phone, cords for everything, wallet, passports & tickets, cookies, scarf, glasses case, and other sundries.
my motorcycle half-helmet, water bottle, other sundries with plenty of room to spare.
a sizable load of groceries.
handbag filled with files & paperwork, shoebox-size plastic storage bin, several other small boxes, cords, other sundries this load was taller than the body of the bag, but the lid still strapped and held everything together over a bumpy ride.
Green interior looks sharp and makes it much easier to spot items in the bottom of the bag.
Straps are comfortable and adjusting them is easy.
Feels secure! I live in a city with tons of foot traffic and many areas where the crowds can be a little chaotic. I've had pickpocket attempts before with other bags where an outside pocket of a pack was opened up, or someone thrust their hand in my bag with an open top. The flap secured by straps is what sold me on trying this pack. The only pockets that are easily accessible to a passerby are the long pockets on the flap and on one side -I simply don't keep anything important there. All of the other interior pockets are safely tucked under the flap --when the straps are pulled tight, it would take some effort to get into any of those spots. I would certainly notice anyone trying to get into the bag. Riding on motorcycle taxis for most of my transport, I'm really glad to have a bag that I can wear comfortably on my back (not in front of me) and still feel that my belongings are safe.
Very few drawbacks:
The flap that keeps everything safely tucked away also makes it hard to have quick access to your belongings. The process to get something out from under the lid is more complex than with a traditional backpack. (But, as an anti-theft feature, this is still a plus in my book!) One solution, which I may try, is to purchase pouches that attach to the straps in front for quick access to phone, money, etc.
The pack is not waterproof -if you bump up to the next Osprey price point, you can get a similar style pack with a built-in rainfly. That was out of my budget. But this pack looks highly water-resistant, and I'll pack a backup rain cover during the rainy season.
One suggested improvement -It would be great to have a drawstring closure for the big interior space. While the flap does cover well, I would like the ability to make my belongings even more secure by compressing the top of the bag space when my load is light.
Overall, I am extremely happy with the pack and highly recommend it!!

I was looking for a bag to haul my MacBook Pro 13" and work papers to and from my work. I wanted something compact, light, and comfortable and in a fairly conservative color. The small Timbuk2 Classic fit the bill. I really like this bag, although there are a few additional features I wish it had. I tried out this bag as well as the Timbuk2 D-lux, Timbuk2 Commuter, and Patagonia Half Mass in a local store before deciding on the small Timbuk2 classic.
===========PROS===========
1. Design. Simple bag. Weather proof lining. Organization pockets on inside for your iPod, phone, keys, pens, etc. Has a quick release extension to ease getting it on, but I don't find that I every need to use it with the small bag. adding it
2. Size. The small Timbuk2 is the perfect width for a MacBook Pro 13" and 8.5x11 inch papers without a lot of extra room on the sides for things to jostle around or get lost in the bottom. There isn't much extra room after putting in a laptop and few textbooks, but I found that the weight of the full small bag is about as much as I would want to carry in a messenger bag that puts most of the weight on one shoulder. The medium sized bag seemed to be a big step up in size and was too bulky for me. For days when I need more room, like for workout clothes, I just bring a second bag rather than carry around extra room with me every day. (If you have large bulky, but relatively light, items to carry around then you may want the medium or large bag.)
3. Neapolitan Pocket. So handy to have a pocket you can access without opening the bag. Enough said.
4. Divider. A pleasant surprise here. I was disappointed that the divider was not suitable for my laptop (see below) and had considered cutting the darn thing out of the bag. However, now I find myself using it all the time! It is a great for storing papers/reports so they are both protected and easily accessible. Sit down on the subway...pull out a report. Super!
5. The Shoulder Strap. The strap sewn in along both sides of the bag and is not removable. Having the sturdy wide strap sewn gives the bag a lot of stability. Bags with straps that clip on, swivel and pivot at the point of attachment. This bag doesn't wobble like that.
===========CONS===========
1. Velcro. The Timbuk2 bag has both clips and velcro for securing the flap. I hate the velcro. It is unnecessary because it already has clips, but worse it is noisy. I am reluctant to open the bag during a meeting because of the loud rIIIIpping sound it will create. There is no discrete way to open this bag. (Note: The velcro closure could be negated covering it with a velcro hook strip which I will do at some point.)
2. No grab strap. Other than the shoulder strap, there is no handle on the bag. I often find myself grabbing for a handle on the top of the bag which doesn't exist. You can get a grab handle if you build a custom Timbuk2 bag on their website, but you pay twice as much for the bag.
3. No laptop sleeve. Although the bag has a built-in divider which fits the MacBook Pro perfectly, only the inside side is padded (see my video). There is no padding on the outside or bottom of the divider. This means that if you set down your bag hard on the floor, you run the risk of damaging your laptop. I just use my existing neoprene sleeve with my laptop. It is too bulky to fit into the divider, but is quite secure in the main compartment of the bag. (Note: the D-Lux version does have a padded laptop sleeve. See my discussion on other bags below for why it didn't work for me)
===========Other bags I considered===========
Timbuk2 D-Lux: It has a padded laptop sleeve (although I wasn't impressed by the padding at the bottom of the sleeve), but it doesn't come in black which was a deal breaker for me. I also didn't like the modular organization system which attaches via velcro to the inside of the bag; the pockets weren't as securely attached to the bag which makes getting things in and out of the pockets more difficult.
Patagonia: What I really liked about this bag was that the padded laptop sleeve does not touch the bottom of the bag, the sleeve was a bit bulky and was oddly attached to the inside of the bag. Also the construction of the bag didn't feel as solid.
Timbuk2 Commuter: A bigger bag than the small Timbuk2 Classic, but with more functionality. It has a cool laptop case that flips out to be TSA compliant (i.e. you don't have to take the laptop out of the bag). It also has a grab handle (yeah!) and no velcro on the flap. It was 2nd on my list, but in the end I decided it was bigger than necessary for my daily commute. The laptop case is made to fit a 15" laptop although it my 13" didn't move around too much. I didn't like the detachable shoulder strap with swivel straps as much; I prefer the sewn in shoulder strap of the Timbuk2 Classic. However, this would be a great bag for airline travel as if gives a little more room than the Timbuk2 Classic and the TSA compliant laptop compartment. I may end up buying this as a second bag for traveling.

This bag arrived on my doorstep last week, and since then I have been carrying it to and from work every day. I was so happy I found this color in a size Small (it's sold out all over the internet and more expensive on the direct brand's website). I purchased this looking for a bag that would a) not ruin my back due the weight and b) fit my netbook and other graduate-school items such as textbooks, portable hard drive, etc. First of all, I can fit all of my textbooks, netbook, papers, cords, and other little things I used to keep in my purse, with enough room to shove my water bottle in on the side. When it rains, which it has several times this week, the water is completely repelled by the awesome "ballistic" material. When it stops raining, however, I can loosen both of the straps on the front flap and slide my umbrella perfectly along the bottom of the bag, pulling the straps a bit to make the fit tighter.With that said, I do think it's a slightly confusing bag! So many pockets and compartments, I may have to make some labels to attached to each so I remember where I put things! Also, I would like an outer pocket for a water bottle of some sort. But, since my bottle doesn't leak, I can put it inside.
I am actually happy it does not come with a laptop compartment. The Timbuk2 Freestyle netbook bag could not even fit my netbook (which is slightly larger, at 11.6 inches) because of its precisely-measured compartment. This bag in a size Small does the trick and fits it perfectly, even with a sleeve I previously purchased on it.
As some reviewers have noted, there is no grab strap. However, just shorted the strap so it lays flat against the top of the bag, tuck the extra strap material into the bag, and there's your shorter "grab" strap, should you need it.

I just wanted to mention about the particular size of the bag I bought (small) since it was the hardest part for me when I was buying..To begin with, I already have a huge messenger bag from another SF based company. And I still like the bag very much, yet it's a little uncomfortable at times, or looks silly when I have a notebook and a pen in a bag that can handle at least two 12 packs. For that reason, I eventually stop wearing it on a daily basis, and started using my backpack instead. But I really wanted my messenger bag back.. as it's so much more convenient and looks better IMO, esp. when you commute on bike.
So I decided to buy a small messenger bag, but Timbuk2 instead this time. The biggest selling point for me was how it had many small inner organizers/pockets, as well as its divider where you can separate your notepads, books, or small laptops (they are very practical for a college student like me). Also, I picked small because x-small looked a little TOO small and medium looked fine but knew I didn't really NEED that much space when I commute everyday cause I prefer to travel light.
Here's list of things I carry usually: textbook(s), notepads, bunch of pens, a mini stapler, an eyedrop, a 10" netbook or a 13" mbp, and a fleece jacket. (plus couple more small stuff). Well they all fit perfectly without trying and my back really appreciates the load and the way it sits securely on my back. If I don't put in my jacket, then I can stuff in a lot more; I just choose not to. You can also strap your jacket using the secure straps. I usually commute by bike or skateboard, and the bag always sits tight on my back. VERY comfortable if you know how to wear it properly. There's also a loop on the bottom front of the bag where I put a blinker on for night riding..
There's tons of favorable reviews on Timbuk2 products. I just wanted to let you know that small can be adequate enough for daily use, and feels a lot better than having a loaded big thing on the back. It also helps you to limit the things so you don't carry unnecessary things. My first Timbuk2, def. not my last one.

I just got this messenger bag in a size medium and am absolutely obsessed with it. I wanted a new bag for school and since my university involves walking around the city and taking the subway, I needed something that could carry a lot of stuff but still looks cool and allows me access my things easily on-the-go.Sizing:
I was afraid that a medium would be too big but I'm 5' 4" and medium looks fine on me. If you are concerned about accidentally ordering a huge bag and want to look at pictures of people with different Timbuk2 bags and sizes check this site out: . It was really helpful with my decision. I think that medium is the perfect size honestly and it has enough pockets to carry all those little things you didn't know where to put before. I can fit my laptop, a couple folders, 2 large science textbooks, gym clothes, a water bottle, pens, highlighters, ear plugs, band aids, ibuprofen, lotion, wallet, keys, all my computers cords, and a calculator. (not gonna lie though, it's heavy with those damn textbooks)
Laptop sleeve:
I have a 13" macbook and was actually glad I didn't spend the extra money on the "love glove." It's probably really nice but I already have a padded sleeve for my laptop and with it on, my computer fits really nicely in that slot.
Pockets:
There is a pocket for everything. Seriously. There are pockets in the front, including the Napoleon pocket which is really nifty. And then the pockets on the inside. AND THEN there is a zippered pocket that has more pockets inside (behind the former inside pockets).
Price:
Since I'm a college student, this seemed like a lot of money to dish out for a bag but there are AMAZING deals on Amazon. I bought mine from Amazon Warehouse Deals for only $43.99... Yeah, it's used but as long as you find one that says "like new" it actually looks like new. I can still smell warehouse on it. But, if you aren't happy, you can always return it with Amazon's awesome return policy. So no worries.
Overall this bag is amazing and if you are looking for a durable bag for school, work, beer, babies, what have you, this is the bag for you.

This pack is very comfortable and surprisingly big. I load this bag with my whole rack plus double camalots .5 to 4 and all other required gear and there is still room for odds and ends. For a day pack it is unbeatable, you can fit all your sport gear and a 60m rope with some room to spare. Definitely recommend to others.
Now we have chocks, and cams, and wired chocks, and fancy harnesses, and helmets (I only wore helmets on loose rock or when Alpine climbing, back in the day) and rope bags, and rope cloths, and belay/rap devices, and cell phones, and digital cameras, and hydration bladders...
Well, these packs carry it all. Tough as they can be! Holds two ice tools each, and two water bottle pockets, too. Padded and divided to spare your back from that Camalot #5...

Carrot U-70173 Canvas Backpack
These backpacks are beautiful. If you find a colorway that fits you well, go for it! My only advice is to TAKE NOTICE OF THE DIMENSIONS.It is completely my own fault, but I did not look at the dimensions. Instead of a "normal" sized backpack, this is a smaller "daytrip" kind of backpack. I plan to use mine for a few items for hiking, etc. so it will still suit my purpose but for anyone that may consider these as bookbags, they do not seem like they will hold big clunky textbooks (even though one or two may fit).
Overall, these are great bags. They are well made, and seem to be of GOOD QUALITY. Worth the price.

I just received the backpack, and I love everything about it except for the most crucial part. The construction! The seams are sewn so poorly. They are uneven, some of the stitching goes way off the path, and where they locked the stich they ran over the spot several times and it looks like chicken scratch. This is not the JansSport stiching that I'm used to.Maybe I just got a faulty one, so emailed the company this morning about an exchange. I'm still waiting for a response. What I received is worth about $6 in an outdoor Thai market (just to give you a visual) not the $40 plus shipping that I paid.

I love my bag. It is mustard and it's incredibly cute. True, it's a little bit smaller than I expect, but I think with that kind of bright color, the size is just right!

I bought this as replacement for my old Recon backpack because the top small pouch zipper couldn't be repaired any more. At first I wasn't sure about this new one because I use for commuting to work on my bicycle and the main compartment on this one doesn't open as far down the sides so it's harder to squeeze in my towel and folded clothes than in the old one. However, everything else on this new one seems like it will be more durable or otherwise improved, too many aspects to mention, so suppose it's forgivable. Now that I've used it a few weeks I really like it. Other than not opening wide enough of course.

I'll admit that I expected it to be small, but it is a little smaller than I expected it to be. It is still a nice bag though, it won't let me carry too much at a time which I kind of need since I can't really care much weight. I love the design, in the picture it looks too splotchy and kind of disorienting, it is in fact softer and not so intense that it will give me a headache like I feared it might. The backpack is just as shown and came quickly. The colors are gorgeous and my granddaughter loves it. I was expecting there to be a larger front pocket, so was a bit disappointed there. The small zippered pocket at the bottom there won't hold much. I'm hoping the zipper holds up, as it is nylon. All in all, it's a nice backpack and she loves it.

I admit that the title does include "small" and "kid size" but this was SUBSTANTIALLY smaller than any backback I've seen. Beware. It barely fits my 4-year-old's lunch and a change of clothes. The handle height is also short. My son is 40" tall and he has to lean over to pull the pack.He is very happy with the backpack -he thinks it is really neat. He'll need a new one within 3 months because it won't work for school -too small.
