The Element Rolling Computer Backpack

The Element Rolling Computer BackpackAs Advertised This backpack arrived in a timely manner, was packaged appropriately, and was exactly as described on the product page.

Manufacturing I have been using it for one month. It works perfectly. The wheels run smoothly. The balance is great--even with my 17 inch laptop and 4 college books, this backpack stays in the upright position without falling over. The balance bonus is great when a student has to rifle through while inside the cramped quarters of a classroom. Because it stays upright without needing to be propped up, this may assist small members of your family if they need to hide behind it for firing "cover" during an alien invasion.

Overall Construction After one month of daily use, the backpack shows no signs of seam, material, or zipper flaws. All parts work smoothly. The water bottle mesh side pocket can be adjusted for varying sizes. It could probably house a bad mother of a forty if you were so inclined. I do not recommend taking malt liquor to schools of any kind as being drunk in academic institutions is surprisingly boring.

Design There are more pockets on this pack than I realized. The placement of said pockets is Vulcan logical and are as easy to access as drunk pictures of Lindsay Lohan. I was pleasantly surprised to realize how much storage space is in a bag that, in itself, is not unusually large. Because there are so many, I'm able to more effectively organize my work and school administrative tools/gadgets/ray-guns. The hidden inside pockets allow for the storage of valuables thus making them less obtainable to pickpockets or tiny robot thieves.

17 17.3 inch Purple Butterfly Design Hidden Handle Laptop Sleeve Bag Carrying Case with D Ring Hook EYELETS for 16' 17' 17.3' Apple Macbook, Acer, Asus, Dell, Hp, Sony, Toshiba, and similar size notebookVery nice, I just wish I had ordered one with a carrying strap. Good value for the money. Purchased for Granddaughter.

Fits my 17" Dell great and is nice to keep my computer protected. Great color and love the butterflies. The only thing, the short handles are attached inside where the zipper closes so if you use the short handles, you cannot zip it closed completely. I prefer to zip the pouch completely closed and just use the outside strap over my shoulder.

Amazon system will not allow me to enter this without a star rating. I don't own one of these so I really can't, thus the middle of the road star rating.

Having said that I'm nothing if not oppinionanted so I'll say this; too much capacity for a resort/slack country backpack, too little robustness for serious use. It has the avalung so I'll make the assumption that people interested on this are into getting a tad far from the groomed slopes. Based on that these are my observations:

On the backcountry I carry snowshoes. This strap system is very likely to send your shoes flying at the first oportunity; most decent packs use (or are modified with) a decent double-dual strap, where one part tighthens the load, the second fastener on the strap locks everything, times two. The waist strap is underengineered (for the pack capacity), which will seriously limit the weigth load you can stash on this, else you will compromise comfort. Often you see packs with a pad on the back that can be unsnapped from the top, which serves as a quick sit-down pad, and as means to strap the snowboard sideways. When climbing steep I like a horizontal mount.

If you are looking for a day pack, slackcountry pack, resort pack, this should work if you pack it light, but then again I hate the extra volume that I can't efficiently put to a good use. If you are going further off trail and don't have to do a lot of hiking with a snowboard attached to it, nor carry too much weight, it should work. I would not try to carry a load, nor would I trust my snowshoes without modifying the straps.

If you must know my main pack is a North Face Off Chute 22 liter, 1325 cubic inches, 3 pounds 7 ounces, with enough features for serious use. My light pack is a 11 liter K2 Pilchuck that can fit the shovel/probe/emergency kit/sandwich, and is so slim that without snowshoes I can ride a chairlift without problems. The Pilchuck shares some of the same design shortcomings as the black diamond but that is fine; it has a third of the volume capacity. Short of you carrying steel plates you couldn't put that much weight on it, nor do I plan on summiting a big mountain with it.

At the end I'm going with the stand-alone avalung which I can then use on any backpack.

Overland Equipment Shasta Bag

Overland Equipment Shasta BagThis bag is awesome, and carries a lot for its size. I am able to fit my 10" netbook and several diapers and other "Mom" items in it. Perfect for on the go people who need to keep their hands free. Wipes down well, and is water resistant. I bought my mom the one in blue, and she uses hers constantly, too!

This is a rather stylish "backpack" that is best for travel and day hike. It wraps around your body nicely with one strap. It can actually carry a lot more stuffs than it looks. The mesh behind it is good for evaporating sweat especially during hiking. It has three zipped compartments: one small, one medium and the other large. It also has a open pocket for a small water bottle at the front just above the small zipped compartment. I have used this "backpack" for my fishing, hiking and rock climbing trip --loving it. Sturdy and somewhat water resistant but don't count on it under the rain.

I must say this worked well for our travel to Europe. It is a larger bag than I had anticipated, but while you are sightseeing, you need space. Holds camera, jackets, outside sleeve for guide books. It is missing a water bottle holder. With that being said at times I used the outside sleeve for just that purpose.

I ordered this a couple weeks ago with 2 day shipping and it came in next day which was pretty impressive and 2 day shipping was only $15. Now as for the product itself, this bag is made of a great quality, all my friends loved it. Here's where the issue came in. I got a laptop for graduation and since Im going into college I needed a bag that could hold my books and the laptop. This bag can hold a sub your bag of chips and a can of soda and thats about it, so if youre looking for a spacious bag I'd go else where. I did return this to get a refund and Amazon was extremely helpful, they supplied me with the proper return labels all I had to do was tape them on the box it came in. They paid for shipping back and refunded me for my original shipping out and for the bag so I got 100% back which no company ever does, there's always some sort of restocking fee but nope this was the smoothest online order/return I've ever had I am extremely appreciative that they actually care about their customers. The bag gets 3 out of 5 stars but the customer service I got deserves a 100 out of 5 stars.

Disney - Mickey Mouse 12" Toddler Backpack - Hide and Seek with Goofy

Disney - Mickey Mouse 12' Toddler Backpack - Hide and Seek with GoofyI purchased this backpack for my 2 year old son to carry his own things (snacks, toys, diapers) on a flight. The bag is super cute (especially since my son loves Mickey/Goofy and we are going to Disney). I think the bag is the perfect size. We can fit his coloring books in there (along with quite a few other toys/books/snacks/diapers) but it is still small enough for him to carry. He is big for his age so smaller 2 year old would probably have a problem with the size. I love the pockets. The two side pockets were perfect for his sippy cup and his crayons. The pocket on the front is big enough for me to store a couple of diapers and wipes.

my child loves this bag. no problems with the quality. and he wont leave home without it. i would definitely recommend to any parent with a child who loves mickey.

This backpack is not only extremely colorful but durable. It is also slightly smaller than most backpacks, making it ideal for my toddler granddaughter. Each time she comes to visit she is always bringing her toys in plastic sacks. Now she has something truly grand to carry her precious items in and can do it in Disney style.

I was happy with the product I ordered! The backpack was a gift for my grandson, when I chose it, I was kind of scared. I saw it on the Amazon page and said ok will get it for my grandson. When it arrived I was very happy with the quality of the backpack, it was sturdy and had cushion. But nothing was more fulfilling than to see my grandson's face when he saw it, he was so happy since Mickey Mouse is one of his favorite character! Thank You so much!!!!

Wildkin Horses in Pink Serious Backpack

Wildkin Horses in Pink Serious BackpackThis would be great for a computer if my daughter had one... really big, lots of padding (I got her a smaller one too but she insists on using this one. The only thing I wish it had was thicker or more padding on the bottom (not just in the computer area), and padding in the bottom of the mesh area for drinks...

Time will tell the test on the durability, but I can't see anything that gives me concerns at this point. We had a smaller (Kindergarten) sized Wildkin back pack in the same print. That has been in use over a year (and through the washer) and it is holding up great so I am expecting the same from this backpack. I got this for when my daughter is a little older and out-grows the current backpack. I didn't want to miss out on being able to find this pink horse print down the road. It's darn cute. I have been very pleased with the Wildkin pink horse line, except for the rolling backpack that was defective. Other that that product, I recommend the line of backpacks and lunch bags/boxes.

Tumi Luggage Alpha Wheeled Carry-On Garment Bag

Tumi Luggage Alpha Wheeled Carry-On Garment Bag, Black, MediumThis is the best piece of luggage I've ever owned. The balance is perfect when wheeling around during travel. This bag holds a surprising amount of clothes and easily handles my usual trip duration of 3-4 days. Never any problem fitting in the overhead bins. It looks great, and I expect I'll be making great use of this for years to come.

This is good for hanging pieces but there was not enough room for shoes and cosmetics. I also found the zipper difficult to maneuver.

As I travel a lot I was impressed by the internal design and the amount of space in a bag with a small overall footprint. However, I was somewhat disappointed by bag NOT having rotating wheels to maneuver the isles on a couple of united flights as the bag is too wide to wheel down the isle. Having to carry the bag in a crowded plane with 3 days worth of clothing, etc was somewhat a pain. At a min. it would have been good to have another handle on top the piece to carry it vertically.

The North Face Pre-Hab Pack - Men's

The North Face Pre-Hab Pack - Men's, TNF Black, One SizeGot this pack for my 17" macbook pro. It's a bit loose so I use a neoprene sleeve as well. The side pocket zip is awesome access for the laptop. The main pocket could use a little more organization, but I suppose that wouldn't make it a "rucksack" as much. The lack of padding in the straps I think is beneficial in that you don't have to worry about the padding wearing thin or become lopsided because of overuse from heavy loads, like being fully packed with the weight of a 17" computer, ipad, cables, adapters and other things. The ether grey/red combo is just as pictured, very nice looking. I was just a little surprised about the gray on the top cover--it looks like a dark grey denim print more than solid, but not a major fashion complaint. It is a bit more of a manly touch.

David King & Co Large Distressed Leather Laptop Messenger

David King & Co Large Distressed Leather Laptop MessengerI've been looking for a quality leather messenger bag for the past 6 months, and this bag fits the bill.

I'm a visual person and so it was a big leap for me to buy this bag since there was only one picture of the bag. What tipped the scale for me was reading the reviews. Reading the reviews of people who have purchased a product is absolutely invaluable in making the right decision

On to the product review:

The bag is made of quality leather, and uses double stitching. The bag strap is long enough to accommodate a big person, and at about 1.5 inches wide it doesn't get twisted up. The bag does not have a shoulder pad, which I initially thought would be a problem, because messenger bags that I've owned in the past that didn't have a pad had a tendency to dig into my shoulder. That is not the case with this bag.

The front flap is made of a single piece of relatively thick leather and is held down by a brass snap in the front. Hidden underneath of the front flap are two pockets that are about 3 inches wide, 4.5 inches long, and about .75 inches in depth; each having a single brass snap. Above the pockets is a zipper pocket that is about 12 inches wide and 9 inches long, and can easily hold a 75 page paper notebook.

The inside of the bag itself has 3 divided sections. The first section has pen, calculator and business card holders plus there is room for a 1 inch 3 ring binder. The middle section is zippered with a padded back area and was clearly meant to hold a laptop computer of 15.4 inches in size, although it is big enough to hold a 1.5 inch 3 ring binder. The last divided section was meant to hold notebooks, 3 ring binders, and books/textbooks. A big plus about this back section is that it will easily hold a 17.3 inch laptop computer plus a few additional items. The backing for the last interior section is padded as well.

A note about the 2 back padded areas. The padding is not all that thick, but that shouldn't be a problem since the bag is made of leather and that in and of itself provides additional protection for a laptop computer.

The back side of the messenger bag has a pocket for slipping in a newspaper, paper notebook, manila envelope, or paper notebook. There is no snap or zipper for this pocket.

There is no bag handle for the bag, however since this is a messenger bag that should be expect. If you need a bag with a handle, you should look at a briefcase or some other similar type bag.

Overall the bag looks good and the one image of it here on Amazon does not reflect how nice it looks. The double stitching is apparent and it looks and feels like a leather bag. The color of the leather is dark brown and it visually has a worn old school look to it. It has a stylish professional look to it that can be used for office / business or school.

Much has been said about the quality of this bag in other reviews, so I won't get into that. However, there's a big error with this particular listing, and potential buyers should take note. The photograph for this listing is for an entirely different bag from David King & Co. If you go to the official David King website (ussuitcase.com), and look under "messengers", you'll notice that the photograph above (which looks medium/dark brown) is for the "Distressed North/South Messenger Bag" (SKU: 6111), dimensions 12.5" x 10.5" x 4" . However, the bag that you'll actually receive (which looks nearly black), should you order from this listing, is "Distressed Large, Full Flap Messenger" (SKU: 6153), dimensions 15.5" x 11.5" x 4". Notice that neither bag has the 17" x 12.5" x 5" shown in this listing, so who knows where the seller got that number. If you would like to see an Amazon listing for the bag you'll actually be receiving, go here: [edit 7/2011: item has since been removed]. That isn't to say that this bag is not good. In fact, given that the medium/dark brown bag is smaller, I ended up needing the larger, nearly black bag after all (which is why I still rate the product a 5). But if you're wanting this bag purely for aesthetics and expect the dark brown bag above and not the nearly-black looking bag you'll be getting instead, you might be sorely disappointed.

[edit 7/2012. After a year and change, the picture for this listing is finally accurate. However, the listed dimensions are still off.]

While the bag is of a good design, plenty of easily accessible pockets, etc. The leather is of a very cheap quality. Given the price of the bag, $139.99 when I purchased it, I expected better. If the leather was a little better I would give it a 4 or 5.

I searched a lot of places for a distressed leather messenger bag for a gift for my husband, and this photo is the exact look that I was hoping for. However, the bag that I received was not the one in the photo. In fact, it is the one described in another review of this product (titled "Inaccuracies..."). I am disappointed because I can't find the one in the picture anywhere else. I ended up returning it and finding one at Wilson's Leather. This is a nice bag, but I will second the opinion in the other review: If you're buying this just for the look, don't.

I've done lots of research online analyzing bags. After weeks I decided to purchase this one. I am very happy with it. I like its large size, rough finish, and ergonomics. Perfect for casual and professional use.

I've uploaded 4 pictures of the bag. This first contains a monster energy drink can for size reference.

Tactical Medium MOLLE Military Transport Pack Backpack

Medium MOLLE Transport Pack - Safety OrangeWhile deployed in Southwest Asia, I ordered the Fox Medium Transport Pack in foliage green after reading the previous reviews. I used this pack for day-to-day back-and-forth use, as an alternative to a large deployemnt backpack. I hiked with it round trip from work to quarters. Main compartment opens very wide so you can pack your coat, rain, or gym gear. The two front pockets were ideal for carrying small items such as flashlights, and small gadgets, You can easily fit your Pad or 10" netbook in the mid compartment with space to spare. The velcro in top pocket allows you to attach your nametag or patch. This pack fits petite, regular and wide shoulder builds, but you need to spend some time adjusting the straps to your fit, but once you adjust them, you do not feel the pack at all. Attachment points fit both ALICE and MALICE clips. Metal loops are great for attaching lights, hooks, etc. Compression straps are very manageable and have stowing loops. You can ride a bike or a cycle with the pack on. The removable upper and side compression straps are long enough to attach a rolled jacket or towel. The hydration pocket is good for a small or medium sized hydration bag. Pack was also easy to stoy or carry on lap when inside vehicles. If you need a medium pack for military use at a budget price, consider this one. Also good for outdoor sports, scouting, and other uses.

I've hiked a lot and served in the military. I was looking for a small backpack to take on day hikes, to the shooting range etc. I'm very pleased with this pack it's small but roomy with plenty of attachment points.

I'm going to a shooting competition and will use this for my overnight bag. The main compartment has a small document compartment as well as a mesh pocket for small toiletries. This compartment has a pair of my size 16 sneakers, pair of jeans, socks etc and my competition shirt. (I'm telling you this so you get a sense of size, not because I think you are morbidly curious about my clothing.)

The next compartment is a little thinner so I've put assorted T's in there with some shotgun cleaning patches, cleaning rods and so on. And then the 2 smaller pockets have ammo. I've used some of the MOLLE points to attach a couple of external pouches that contain more ammo. It IS a shooting competition; I have just over 100 12-gauge rounds in the pack.

The shoulder straps are padded and have multiple attachment points. There is both a chest and a waist strap so I have been able to jog in this without too much noise or discomfort in 102-degree heat. There's also a hydration bladder pocket and I've been using this for hydration not only when hiking/jogging but also when riding my motorcycle. Too bad the hydration bladder isn't supposed to contain alcohol..... :-)

All in all, I score this 5/5 and am going to get another for a friend.

Buy Tactical Medium MOLLE Military Transport Pack Backpack Now

I bought this bag after looking for a small bag that would fit a lot of gear but still be reasonable to hike with. Settled on this one after all the price was nice, and the Maxpedition Falcon II was double the price. When i opened it i was really impressedthe color was a nice olive drab and the nylon felt strong enough. I loaded the bag up with gear and tried it on. Straps were pretty good and did a solid job with the weight and comfort. I was stoked to think i made a great purchase.

Fast forward to day 2. I opened the bag to rearrange the gear, went to zip it up and the zipper completely pulled away from the bag. Just completely became unstitched and worthless. I was upset and took a closer look. The zipper is attached with widely spaced and loose thread, the zipper is held on with thread going through the wide zippier. Obviously not rebuild-able even if you had put some serious use on the bag and it later failed.

I promptly ordered the Maxpedition. What i should have done all along. They use YKK zippers which never fail. Even if they should its a sewn in zipper which could be replaced if needed. Buy once cry once.

One note...i see this bag listed multiple times under different categories. Oddly, negative reviews disappear when that item is deleted so be careful. Maybe mine was a lemon, but looking at the construction i am guessing the failure rate is higher than suggested by reviews (at least those that don't disappear).

So, I just received my Army Digital Fox Medium Transport Pack. First thing I notice that is not the same as what I thought I ordered is that the picture shown of the Army Digital Pack shows that this pack has black zippers and black under padding on the shoulder straps. It actually has consistent color with the Army Digital color pattern. It is actually better that they are not black. This is not really an issue at all, but, I just thought I was getting a pack with Army Digital patterning and black zippers.

I like the size of this pack. It is a little smaller than a full daypack, but way bigger than you might think. This pack can hold a lot of stuff. It is even wide enough to fit my 15" MacBook Pro in the main compartment and still have more room for more stuff. This pack is more long than it is wide, which gives it a smaller look, but this pack is deep. The combined depth of all compartments at the base of the pack is approximately 10-12".

I will be using this pack as an every day carry pack. I work IT and need a pack that can easily convert from a work pack to a weekend warrior pack, either hiking, at the range, camping, or whatever I need to use it for. So far, I can fit my laptop, hard drives, thumb drives, all my cables, pens and pencils, notepads, keys, and etc, etc, etc... it can then convert to filling it with ammo, hearing protection, magazines, knives, cleaning kits, and a few handguns for the range and it does this all with glory. I am now more than willing to purchase another so I can have my work and play bags separated.

I am thoroughly enjoying this pack.

Want Tactical Medium MOLLE Military Transport Pack Backpack Discount?

I bought this pack for two purposes. One, to use during day hiking trips and two, to use for work.

This thing has a whole bunch of pockets which are segmented making it easy to organize your belongings. In addition to the multitude of pocket it has a MOLLE strap system to attach various knives, flashlights, and such. Also, there is a pocket for a camelback hydration system.

I work in web design and social media consultation and primarily bought this back because I knew my 15" Macbook would fit in it as well as all my accessories such as external hard-drive, iPod, Headphones, pens, notebooks, etc. Everything has it's place. The best thing is that if I feel like going on a day hiking trip and can easily unload my work gear and pack up my outdoor gear unleashing my woodman alter ego.

This may be important to some of you, as it is me, so I thought I'd mention it...I purchased the OD Green version of this bag and it's the "good", toned-down OD Green color, not the bright green color that some of the pics in the description indicate. So I was pleased about that. I like to be cryptic when I'n on the trail since I walk amongst large cats and wild hogs.

All the straps and buckles are of military spec and look as if they will handle quite a bit of wear and tear. So far, I've only been able to use this bag to transport my work gear and have yet to take it in the field (hence only the 4-star rating), but I soon hope to do just that. I will be sure to write a follow-up review and update the rating as soon as I do.

I hope this review helps those of you looking for a comfortable and versatile pack to purchase. Please feel free to ask me any specific question you may have.

Tumi Luggage Tegra-Lite International Carry-On Bag

Tumi Luggage Tegra-Lite International Carry-On Bag, T-Graphite, SmallPros: very light, spinner wheels. Zippers, wheels and handles all good quality. It holds enough for 2-4 days depending on if you need multiple shoes or female toiletries (hair dryer, makeup, etc). Personally found it best for 1-3 day business trips if carrying just a suit with shirt, undergarment changes, one casual outfit and a pair of shoes. Light weight is good for meeting weight limits with international travel. Spinner wheels ergonamically are better then the shoulder strain of tilting a 2 wheel suitcase and pulling it (this would apply to any spinner vs 2 wheel model).

Cons: Does not fit a full size briefcase on top, no strap to put briefcase on front. Wheels do not roll well on carpet. Tends to tip over going from tile to carpet and on the carpet in hotels. No side strap to assist picking up from baggage claim belt or placing into overhead compartment. Integrated locks are nice note: TSA does not always relock after opening it for inspection which defeats the purpose of the integratedlock when checked in at an airport (non integrated locks require them to be more consciously closed and locked).

Overall I really like this suitcase for 1-3 day trips. If they had a Tegra continental model with spinner wheels that would help with the balance and ability to put a briefcase on top. A 22" model would also be a nice addition to the line for 3-6 day trips or for winter clothes/more clothes changes. I am now looking at the medium size which is 28" as it has a side strap and would be a better fit for multi-week international travel.

Love this bag!!!

Debated between this, the continental version and the Vapor series.

I find this bag to be very durable and I'm not worried about marks which can affect the vapor series.

The choice between inter and continental size was difficult, but after making my first trip with this bag I know I have made the correct decision. I was getting very annoyed with

my old check in, never knowing if it was going to fit the overhead, not knowing if it was going to be valet check in, just never knew..

First flight with this bag regional flight from ORD to MDT, seats 1 passenger on one side, and 2 on another. Its a small plane! I'm 6"4 and had to duck just to get through.

Both times the attendants said I would have "to red tag it" as they said "it would not fit". Luckily, I knew the exact dimensions of this bag and felt confident that it would. I said, just let me try.

Again, first time with this luggage and first time with this trip.

Yes, it FIT!!! When I was leaving the plane there was a line of 15 people waiting to get their bags from "valet", and they just stared at me as I easily rolled off.

THe bag is exactly what's needed, its much smaller than my previous carry on, but this one will actually fit the overhead! For me, I always overpack anyways, so this bag has me being just a bit more picky in what I bring, but it has really worked out for the better. I use another Tumi tote for my extra bag for the very long week + trips, otherwise, i just bring a t-tech brief for shorter trips.

If you are debating whether to go with the conti vs inter. I would say WITHOUT A DOUBT go with the INTERNATIONAL size!!! IT fits every plane, you won't have to worry about checking anything in, and it will simply make your packing much more efficient! As long as you have another bag with you for week long breaks, you will be set!

Also, did I mention this bag is a looker? It is a beautifully piece of equipment (I'm an audiophile and love understated tech). It feels and looks amazing. I really feel like a

million bucks walking around with this.

I couldn't be happier, absolutely a great purchase for those whom want a little bit of style, flare, and utility when they travel :)

Stephen Joseph Boys 2-7 Boy's Go-go Bag

Stephen Joseph Boys 2-7 Boy's Go-go Bag, Shark, One SizeThe best thing about this backpack is that it doesnt have a character from disney on it. Or from nickelodeon. It's a cute, vinyl back pack. with sharks. There arent any extras, like compartments or side or outer pockets.

It's on the smaller side and was perfect for my 4 year old.

I got this bag for my son for daycare. Every day we have to bring clothes, lunch, blanket, etc. This bag holds it all. He is only 1 years old so of course for now I still have to carry it. He's too small but probably next year it will be a better size for him. It is easy to wipe out and keep clean (his lunch spilled once) which is a big plus for me.

I picked it because it doesn't have characters on it. He's too small to like a certain character that much anyway and if I picked one he does like he'd grow out of that character by next year and not like the bag anymore.

Maxpedition Vulture-II Backpack

Maxpedition Vulture-II BackpackI'm an officer in a mountain town that bought one of these bad boys to double as my EDC and Bug-Out-Bag. First off, this bad is bomb-proof. Gotten snowed on, rained on, placed on wet ground (rubberized bottom is awsome and something I did not see on a lot of other bags of this nature), picked up, put down and thrown around daily. Each side rocks a Max rollypoly (with 32 nalgenes) and cocoon pouch and I also got other supplimentary pouches to pimp it out. The molle system is very handy especially when used with Max strap system. Oh, and the rubberized bottom and top of bag has molle webbing for easy tent and sleeping bag attachment. Tons of space, the picture makes the bag look smaller. Super comfortable straps too. The outter compartment also seems to be the only one on similar bags that can fit a standard metal work folder this is priceless for easy carry along with my gear. Only drawbacks I can see is that they are made overseas although the U.S. design is damn near flawless. I did not have hundreds of dollars to spend on something like Elberstock and now I'm so glad I did not. Hope the review helps.

I was an infantry Marine for 4 years. Ive had a few packs over the years and there are differing opinions of what is "milspec" and what isnt. Even though some of the stuff we were issued was junk, i would call this pack "almost milspec". Its definitely a superstar among the typical Swiss Gear, The North Face, or Targus packs that a lot of civilians are wearing. When i say "almost", it's because in terms of "milspec", i like to see metal D rings instead of plastic ones. Ive also worn out a lot of mesh that covers padding on some packs. This pack has a solid nylon back, but still has the mesh on the straps. It does carry well, even over long distances. The straps have a nice contour to them, even though they are on the thin side. I can fit my 15" laptop in the hydration compartment, which is a big plus. The waist belt is ample enough to serve its purpose, and can be stowed away in the hydration compartment when its not needed...but then you cant put a computer in there. If you are carrying a computer, you probably arent in need a waist belt like when you go camping or on patrol. I would just sinch it up, buckle it, and leave it out.

I have actually just replaced this pack with a Spec-Ops THE pack for camping, and hiking purposes. The Spec-Ops pack is what i would consider true "milspec", for what thats worth, and its a difference that you pretty much have to see and feel to understand. I also have a review of that pack here on Amazon. Nevertheless...I am a fan of Maxpedition stuff, and i own and continue to buy their gear for every day carry situations. This is a great pack, but if you dont mind spending an extra $50 or so, there are better options for more mission specific packs...Try Eagle Industries, Spec Ops, or go crazy and check out Kifaru.

I have been shipping around for a Bug out Bag to carry my supplies for emergency situations and I needed to find a bag that was both affordable but spacious and resilient. I shopped around for a long while and I happened upon the Vulture II bag. I did my homework and from what I gathered it was a a very tough, spacious, and comfortable bag. It was, however, a little on the expensive end ($132 when I purchased it) so I was rather resistant to shelling out that much for a bag but over the course of a couple weeks it became clear that this is exactly the bag that I want.

The bag has met and exceeded all my expectations. From pulling it out of its plastic covering you can tell immediately that this was one rugged bag, it felt indestructible. Opening it up it revealed PLENTY of space for whatever you could want. There is a pocket for a water bladder if that is what one wants but as another reviewer stated it fits a laptop perfectly if you are thinking of using the bag more domestically. The zippers are a bit stiff on the bag requiring a little work to close and open them but that is of no surprise considering how tough the bag is and that new bags naturally need to be broken in a little. The shoulder straps, with CORRECT fitting, are extremely comfortable and there are both chest and abdomen straps that really help offload some of the pull on the shoulders.

All in all, I would highly recommend this bag to whomever wishes for a reliable bug out bag, outdoors bag, etc. The bag is worth every penny and I suggest to anyone that, in this case, spending those extra couple of dollars will provide you with something that will outlast many other.

I have had the Vulture 3-Day Assault Pack for a few years and I love this pack. It is strong, solid and has plenty of room for your gear. The YKK #10 zippers are strong, dependable and can handle the abuse from a stuffed pack. The 1000-Denier water and abrasion resistant light-weight ballistic nylon fabric is very durable and there are enough MOLLE attachments to add gear. The backpack has a waist belt and chest belt for a comfortable load.

The Vulture-II holds 2810 cubic inches of gear which should be plenty for about a 3 day trip. The main compartment is very large and holds a lot of gear. The main compartment has dual zippers so it can be opened up almost all the way so that getting to your gear is no problem. I am able to fit a bivy, sleeping bag, sleeping bag liner, Thermarest small pad, back pack rain cover and other items in the main compartment. This pack also has a front pouch and slip pocket to hold other essential items as well. It has a compartment for a 100 oz. hydration bladder for water. At 3 lbs, 8 oz. it is a bit on the heavy side but there is always a cost/benefit ratio with gear. This is not a ultralight pack but it will handle any abuse you can dish out and it will last for many years. I have used and abused this pack and it still looks brand new.

If you are looking for a pack that has plenty of room, is extremely durable, yet comfortable then this is your pack.

The Vulture 2 is an extremely rugged and versatile backpack. It is made of 1000 denier teflon coated fabric with a rubberized bottom which is water, dirt, and mud resistant. The entire pack is double stitched for added strength. It has about 2800 cubic inches of space and plenty of compartments for accessories. The shoulder straps are load bearing and adjustable for added comfort. It is also water bladder compatable, up to 100oz. Although I've only had this pack for a short amount of time, I've been able to get some good use out of it. I was pretty rough with it just to see how well it would do and I was not disappointed. I've owned many backpacks in my life, very expensive ones that I thought were good quality, but the Maxpedtion Vulture 2 is by far the best I've owned, in every way. This is one of those few products that can literally last you a lifetime.

My Little Pony Backpack

My Little Pony BackpackI was really disappointed in the size of this backpack, for the price I paid (18.88 with shipping) I was expecting something more along the lines of a regular sized backpack. I originally bought this for my daughter as her carry on for an upcoming trip. I think I will be just letting her have it for a new lunch bag or toy instead.

Sumo Combo Backpack - 14.1" PC / 15" MacBook Pro

Sumo Combo Backpack - 14.1-Inch PC / 15-Inch MacBook Pro fits all iPad generations including iPad4I should've read the dimensions before I ordered it. The title says it fits a 14"-15" MacbookPro and the body of the bag is way bigger than 15". The red is a really cool red, I love the bag, it fits a lot and is comfortable enough for me but it's too big on me.

I'm keeping it because it's really cool and I love the red, but wish it were smaller (not 'depth or storage'-wise but 'length by height'-wise).

This backpack was nice and utilitarian, however it broke down in a matter of months. Poor quality, which was disappointing.

Hiking Trail Pack with Chest & Hip Straps (Blue or Green)

Hiking Trail Pack with Chest & Hip StrapsThis bag was more than what I thought it would. Very comfortable to wear and you can pack a tone of stuff in this one. Would recommend for camp trips, hikes, and any day trips out.

It's maybe just a little more durable than a school backpack, but there's decent amount of space. My beef with the pack is that the way that it's built it doesn't take any weight off the back like quality hiking packs would.

This is a good bag for the money. Perfect amount of inner and outer storage space and straps. Love it

We purchased this for weekend Boy Scout camp outs. Although we have made it work, it's a bit small to carry what is needed for a 2 night stay. It is durable enough for an 11 year old boy. It seems to be designed for hiking day pack. It has small straps at the base of the pack that would be great to hook a bed roll but are 8 inches too short

Want Hiking Trail Pack with Chest & Hip Straps (Blue or Green) Discount?

I wanted a relatively light hiking backpack that wouldn't be too bulky and heavy by itself this bag matched those expectations. It's pretty light which comes with ups and downs. The hip strap is not very sophisticated as it's not very padded, making it not supportive to the lower back. However, the backpack fit all right (with its chest strap and hip straps), and was comfortable enough for an all day hike but I also carried a very light load in there. I don't think it would be comfortable if I carried a heavy load in there. Also, the bag itself is pretty!

Below are its deficiencies in compartments/functions:

1) It doesn't have a bottle holder.

2) The bottom two straps with clips (i don't know what these are called) that you normally use to clip around rolled up sleeping bags, are really really short. So short, that they can't wrap around something more than... say 12 inches in circumference. So you have to find some other tricks to clip up something big like a sleeping bag.

3) The laced elastic cord on the front face of the bag has very little holding capacity, since it is actually binded down the middle (where you see the vertical black stripe). Therefore, it can only hold things in each half of it, so you can only hold up objects no wider than about 5 inches.

Jeep "Puppy" Animal Backpack Harness

Jeep Backpack Harness, Puppy/PinkI had the monkey backpack for my son and after loving it, I chose this one for my daughter even though she isn't old enough to need it yet. It is incredibly soft and really cute! After reading the first review, I "tested" it out around the house with my son (he was willing to participate lol). I can't comment on long term use, but it held up with him finding it hilarious to try and "run away" with me still holding the strap which made it tug on the strap and him go backwards. You have to have some fun sometimes!! :) Nothing broke and he's 5 so I'm hoping it means that the first reviewer just got a dud. I'm giving it 4 stars and will update it if necessary whenever I use it for it's actual intended purpose.

Edit 12/28/12:

This has held up well! My daughter is 2.5 and hates the stroller. Living in FL and having passes to SeaWorld, we go often, which means this gets used often. I upped my rating from 4 stars, to 5 stars. I have absolutely no complaints. Also, my daughter who HATES being confined has no problems when we use this (probably because she knows that the alternative is the stroller).

I have had 3 or 4 different types/brands harnesses for my 3 kids (6 and under) these are by far the best. soft strap (some other ones if not placed perfectly chafe skin) and more comfortable to wear (plus the kids love the characters) :) would definately recommend and the price is pretty good too :)

I am rating it with a higher rating because I would buy it again, the leash ripped of the first time we used it, but I just clip it to one of the straps. We don't go anywhere without it and actually bought a second one. A must have with twins!!

After reading the reviews I was reluctant to purchase this back pack, but I decided to take a chance. I made the right decision because all the flaws other customers wrote about have been fixed. It it very well made, soft, light weight, the straps are adjustable to any frame. They even fixed the leash; it is now at the bottom of the back pack so no more chocking hazard. And my daughter just loves it and wears without a problem.
