Eagle Creek Luggage Travel Bug Backpack

First of all, I love Eagle Creek products: good quality, lots of nice details. They've been in the business of making good travel/carrying gear for a long time and it shows.

I bought this for the current-gen iPad and was not terribly careful noting the dimensions. I think saying there's a space for the water bottle on the side is a bit misleading: there's no way any sized bottle fits in there, and once you have that as a baseline for the rest of the size, you might make the same mistake I did and think it's a bit larger than it is.

It is *just large enough* for an iPad, and frankly the interior pocket is not quite large enough to fit 8 1/2x11" sheet of paper. (I had to carry a handful of papers and had to trim the folder carrying them down to exactly the paper size, including cutting off the tab and slicing off the top/sides. The folder/papers still gets bent in the corners and I have to shake and adjust the folder in the bag to make sure it's sitting all the way on the bottom. I can live with it, but that's to give you an idea of the overall size. And it does feel a little silly negotiating around items of such an obvious size. I mean, other than a fanny pack or clutch that's obviously meant to be small, why would you make something *almost* big enough for an obvious thing people want to carry?)

That said, it's a nice *but very small* backpack.

This backpack will fit an ipad + a thin summer sweater + a few other small items. It has a bottle pocket on the side that fits my slim thermos. It has another pocket on the other side that I haven't quite figured out the intended use for. Earbuds were suggested. My only complaint: the front outside pocket doesn't really have the right organization for money. It does have credit card slots, a key ring, a pocket for glasses, a pen slot. It just doesn't have a pocket wide enough for bills. An annoying oversight, so I just fold my money and put it in the small zippered pocket inside the pack. There is a main space inside the pack, the tablet pocket which has a little padding behind it, and the small zippered pocket which I stuff bills into. I usually look for an exterior back pocket which this pack doesn't have, but what it does have fills my needs.

Sure, it's small, but it provided all the space I needed during the day for a 17 day tour of Italy. Plus, it is small enough that I didn't have to check it in churches and museums. (My husband had a daypack that was only slightly larger and he was often required to leave his with bag-check.) The front zippered pocket of the Travel Bug has far more options for small snacks and map organization than any other bag I looked at. I had enough room for a pencil set and in the main compartment I kept a guidebook, sketchbook, journal, and, on occasion, even my women's size 8 Chaco sandals just in case I wanted to slip my light hikers off and wade into the water along the Riviera. The small, handy, elastic pocket on the side will fit a small bottled water, though not a full-sized water bottle. This bag looks sleek, stylish, is lightweight (though obviously one can make it heavier with stuff). I even had several people along the way ask where I bought it because they wanted one. My ONLY complaint is the length of padding on the straps. It could have been designed to be a little longer so that the buckles don't rub the arm pits. Overall though, it's a little gem of an bag!

The older one has 2 compartment which is very slim, therefore I cannot put bulky things into it. But the new model , I can put thicker things in it such as Tupperware water bottle the flat type which is 1litre in size. It fits snugly . The older bug bag unable to do so as the compartment division is different. I use it daily and I love it .

I am really satisfied with this bag except the strap should be thicker and longer . As now it's just nice to carry around my shoulder but I cannot loosen it . If I wanted to take out my things I need to unhook off my shoulder to take my things out , unlike my bigger eagle creek bag , which has longer and thicker strap which is comfortable to carry for hours. Overall i like the bag, it fits the Macbook pro 13' perfectly. The handles are nice, but to get them to work you have leave the zipper open the width of the handles. The only problem is that one side of the zipper doesn't work properly it sticks as long as i don't pull to hard its ok. If i didn't need it i would likely have returned or replaced it until i got one with a working zipper.

Dakine Girls Cosmo Back Pack

The reason why I bought this pack, was I wanted something small and light weight that I could easily take with me on an outing instead of my purse. This is exactly what I needed. It easily holds my 20oz Klean Kanteen, camera, phone and all my other purse items.

One of the reason I was a little weary of buying this pack was I wasn't sure exactly how the insides looked like and if it was big enough to fit my needs. I am happy that after buying it, it does in fact. But, I have added two pictures to show exactly what the insides look like since I couldn't find any online when I was purchasing.

The back opening has a little zip pouch for change or possibly personal stuff and an open area for water bottle, camera, etc. The front opening has three narrow pouches for pencils and pens, a larger pouch to the side with a zip mesh pouch on top of that. There is also a larger pouch behind all those possibly for small papers. There is also a zipped up area on the opposite side. So, there is plenty of places to put things.

The back doesn't have much padding so it is a bit bumpy to my back depending on what I put in it. But, that doesn't bother me. I am just glad to have this for use of hiking or going on a boat ride and now having to worry about all my stuff getting lost because it is on my back.

I just rec'd this little backpack it's exactly what I was looking for. I have sloping shoulders, so it's impossible to keep a 'shoulder-bag' purse strap on me without hunching that shoulder up (thereby resulting in a nice headache after >1 hour). I've got several 'cross-body' bags, but for travel & wearing to work here in Aspen I wanted a mini-backpack which hangs from both of my shoulders and out of the way; I'm not doing a 6-hr day hike, or climbing a 14,000-foot mountain, so I don't want or need the usual day-pack size. I also love all the colors and patterns available I had a hard time choosing one, but finally went with the purple 'lacey' design, which has purple-and-white zebra stripes on the inside. I'll probably purchase a lighter-color pattern also, since these little packs are definitely machine washable/dryable (made out of nylon, not cotton quilting).

IMPORTANT NOTE: The straps on this Dakine pack ARE LONG ENOUGH FOR ADULT WOMEN! I looked everywhere on the internet, & nowhere was it mentioned how long the straps are, so here you go: they can be adjusted to a maximum length of 31" as measured from the top of the strap to where it's attached at the bottom, plenty long enough for even this plus-sized gal (I even have 2.5 "extra" inches of strap when I adjust them to the length perfect for me.) I had bought a 'girls' backpack once before, but was disappointed because the strap-length was really designed for girl-size bodies, not women.

So i basically needed something to carry my stuff when i go out. It can fit a small notebook, my sketchbook and pencils, my phone and mp3 player, a small novel, and my camera. It also has little pockets for cash and stuff. There are enough compartments to keep everything organized, which is nice.

It can't fit textbooks though, so I wouldn't buy it for school.

I haven't had it for very long but it seems pretty durable.

This was my second purchase of a Dakine Cosmo backpack. I got it for carrying essentials on the back of my wheelchair. It is just the right size to carry some emergency supplies like a spare inner tube, some small tools, tire changing levers, and some medical supplies. High Sierra Loop Backpack

Don't let the size fool you! The multiple compartments that give you plenty of room. It's easy to put on/take off especially since I ride the Metro so I'm not breaking my back trying to get it off.

It has adjustable straps so you can pretty much tailor it to your frame to make it as comfortable as possible.

The back pack also holds up well in rain; amazingly well!

I love the color too; it goes with pretty much everything :)

My only concern is that the zippers are super accessible and that can be an issue especially in packed areas such as the Metro. I typically remove it and can hold it from the upper handle ...sort of like a brief case until I'm out of "sticky fingers" way :)

All in all, GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!! I LOVE IT!

My wife was looking for a diaper bag and couldn't find a bag pack style she liked. She decided to buy three different back packs and try them instead. Good Idea! We liked this one the most because it was a small frame, good for a smaller person,like a woman or young adult and it had a lot of storage for the size. Six months after I bought the High Sierra Loop Backpack, one of the shoulder straps started ripping apart at the seam, and the zipper to the front pocket had broken off (the backpack was gently used). I think the high ratings for this backpack may be due to early user experiences. This backpack (my copy of it at least) isn't very durable. Note, too, that I bought the backpack from Amazon direct, NOT from a third party seller.

I've had JanSport backpacks that have held up to *years* of heavy use. If you're looking for something more durable, you might want to spend a little more to get a JanSport or a The North Face backpack (both of which are renowned for their quality and durability).

You may, however, opt to buy this backpack anyway since this backpack has received mostly positive reviews and my experience may be an isolated instance. Here are the specifications to help you decide whether this backpack is right for you:

Compartments

------------

● 2 Side Pockets

Each of the two side pockets has an elastic band and see-through mesh netting. Each pocket is an ideal place for putting a water bottle, a pair of hiking poles, or even a tripod. I use one of the pockets for a camera tripod and the other for a water bottle when I'm out shooting.

● 3 zippered compartments

There are 3 other zippered compartments besides the main zippered compartment.

1. The largest of the compartments (located in front of the backpack) has lots of pockets for putting your calculator, cell phone, stationery, etc. It has plenty of room; it will fit 3 or 4 small paperback books, just to give you a rough idea of its size. There's a hook for attaching your keychain too.

2. The topmost compartment has an opening for threading the wire of a pair of headphones/earphones through so you can listen to music while the MP3 player is safely stowed away in the compartment.

● Water-Resistant Lining

The insides are lined with nylon, which makes backpack water-resistant.

o NO Hydration Compartment

The backpack is NOT hydration compatible (i.e. you can't use it with a hydration bladder -without modification at least). There is no pocket to hold a hydration bladder, and no outlet for the tube from the hydration bladder. I did modify the backpack by cutting a small hole in the pocket of the topmost compartment so I can thread a hydration tube through the hole, and then through the opening (meant originally for the wire of a pair of headphones/earphones). Still, the lack of a pocket means the hydration bladder can slump over, which will interfere with the flow of water from the bladder to the tube.

It's a bit bigger than the smallest backpacks but not too big. Personally, the size of this backpack suits me *perfectly*. I wanted a backpack with plenty of room to carry the essentials but not one that is over-sized and clumsy.

● Shoulder Straps

The shoulder straps are very comfortable even with a heavy/fully-loaded backpack. It has an elastic pocket for putting your cell phone so you always have your cell phone within easy reach.

● Bottom Straps

The bottom of the backpack has a pair of straps for strapping on additional equipment you need to bring along.

● Side Compression Straps

The side compression straps can be used in tandem with the side pockets to keep your stuff safely secured.

o NO Sternum Strap & Waist Strap

This backpack has NO sternum strap (also known as a chest strap) and NO waist strap. For full-on hiking, this backpack may not be the ideal choice. If you're hiking for long periods, you *need* to have a sternum strap for keeping the shoulder straps in a position on your shoulders most comfortable to you, and you *need* a waist strap to distribute some of the load from your shoulders to your waist.

I bought my previous backpack from High Sierra almost 9 years ago. I used it every day to school, work, gym; it was practically a part of me. The strap finally started to break down so I bought this new backpack.

Well, this item does not compare to the previous one. I've had it for few weeks now and some areas are already showing weak spots. Flimsy fabric, poor quality stitching. I have put in some reinforcement stitches (luckily I have a sewing machine) to where the straps connect to the top of the backpack so I can carry my 13" laptop without worries. I'll keep it as a gym bag, and look for better quality daypack.

The only reason I gave it 3 instead of 2 stars is because I like the look of the bag.

Extra Large Voodoo Tactical MOLLE Compatible Deployment Bag

I just got this bag after trying out the Maxpedition Proteus versipack, which was a well made bag but just too small for my gear. Not wanting to get the next size up the Sabercat, as I'm not a fanny pack girl. I spotted this bag and figured I'd try it out. Very happy I did, as it is a Great price & a good size for an EDC, not too big or too small. If it's too small for you, just add a bag to the back by use of the MOLLE straps!

This bag is made from 600 denier pack cloth, so it's not as rigid as the other brand, kind of wish it was, but it keeps the cost down as well as the weight. The other thing is there is no padding on the bottom of the bag or any protective rubber, so durability over time could be an issue. Especially if setting it on ground all the time. I added my own padding as I carry electronics in the main compartment and when I set the bag down and heard my portable monster speaker slam down on the pavement, that was it for me. So now it has padding!

This is a great EDC bag, it carries everything I need with room to spare. I was amazed to see such a small looking bag carry so much, like the 6 water bottles in the main pocket with room left over. The main pocket is kind a pain to get into since it and the front pocket are closed by use of the handle with the clips. So for quick access use the end pockets which are also very generous in size, or use the shoulder strap. The bag is made to wear on a vest, so its longer and narrow to not get in the way of the user. It makes the bag look smaller than it is. I got the black bag, as to not look like G.I Jane walking around with it! Ha Ha...The zippers are heavy duty but pretty sure not YKK. Since the bag is a softer material, at times it's harder to get zippers to open & close quickly, as the bag will collapse a little if it is not fully loaded.

I love pockets!! Lots of pockets, and this bag does not disappoint. I purchased it from Earthfair, a Great seller! Got a great deal and fast shipping. This was a very smart purchase and am happy with the bag, even with the few short comings I mentioned. I would purchase again, and just add rubber to bottom for protection & durability. Prompt delivey and two separate notifications about its shipment status was impressive. Good construction, the zippers take some breaking in but no worries. I'm a fairly busy guy and this bag operates as the catch all. I'm a paramedic and I use one of these bags as an airway module; larygoscopes blades/handle, tubes, bvm, etc. When traveling can carry a day or two worth of living stuff. Even when biking it carries a back up maintainence and repair items, a lunch and water. All in all a very useful device.

I just recieved mine in, olive drab, from Major Surplus and Survival. The bag is well made etc., etc., as stated in other reviews. This is a five star bag, not big, but lots of storage pockets. And for a little more storage I added a Voodoo tac dump bag, coyote color, on each end. Now, the 3 stars are only for the molle. Only 1 molle attachment row, on each bag. Why? Since you can't weave your bags tightly together or onto your back pack as I did, they flop when you walk. And the deployment bag keeps hitting me in the rear end with every step. Very annoying after a while. It will work, but could have been better. The deploy. bag and dump pouches are fine.

Victorinox Luggage Altmont 2.0 Flapover Mono-Sling

I purchased this originally thinking it was larger but it was a very nice size and after using it for about 2 weeks on campus (I've owned it for about a month and a half, having packed items in it beforehand) it holds up to the Victorinox name. This backpack is very much worth its price unless you need to carry a large amount of items or very heavy items. Here's what I carry daily:

Spiral Notebook

Folder for various papers

The backpack also has a small pouch that is hidden by the flap that holds items like cards, keys, etc... I keep some Tylenol and other over-the-counter medicines, small pack of tissues, a bottle of hand sanitizer, and my folded up schedule (that I've been looking for haha)

There is also a pouch on the inside of the backpack that you can keep chargers or other various items. The backpack feels a little odd if it's full carrying it across your shoulder but it feels perfect if you just drape it over one shoulder while walking.

Overall it's a 5/5, it's well-built and carries all of my necessities.

This bag works great as a carry on for a plane. I just recently purchased it to hold my Macbook Air, a book, a magazine, my sweater, bag of medicine and some food. Its not the largest bag but I was surprised how much I could fit in it.

So my backpack of 10+ years had begun to fray on me. Since I do not drive it was my companion everywhere, for tasks like grocery shopping or carrying papers to important appointments.

I decided this time to take the plunge and try to get one online, and also to get something that looked different from everything else out there.

The monostrap turns out to be more comfortable than the backpack I switched from. It doesn't slip as much and doesn't dig into my shoulders.

It really passes the test because I have been carrying two 2-liter soda bottles home over a mile walk. It has been able to handle that load several times, and has not frayed or ripped.

2-liters x2 is also good way to describe the volume of the bag. Two bottles kind if max out the space of the main compartment, which is as much as I need. I also have a few smaller items in the inside pocket (Nintendo 3DS and cables) and sure I could probably get a few more things in there. I wouldn't like it any larger. Perfect size; not too awkwardly large, not tiny like a kid's backpack.

The only cons are:

-opening and closing is kind of akward in a rush. You have to unhook the main parachute clip and then open a zipper, as opposed to just a zipper on a traditional backpack. And because of the mono-strap crosses over you diagonally, it's sometimes necessary to unclip that too. This is easily resolved if you take the backpack off prior. For example if you're in an airport line or checkout line.

-The other issue, which is really not one: The supplied torso strap is dumb. It looks goofy, and luckily it can be detached.

Overall it's great though, and looks good too. Love it.

I wanted an inexpensive bag to cover my laptop when moving. Just wanted to be able to locate it and keep track of it so I got the red. The fit is really tight for my 15.6. The cords fit in a zippered bag on the outside of the bag and the storage is rather bulky. There is not much room for many accessories. If I were using the bag on a regular basis to transport my laptop, I would want something a bit larger with more room for storing accessories.

my 15.6 screen lap top fits just right in this case. the front flap is actually a pocket for accessories but I might need more room than what is there, would probably fit the charger and a mouse, wish it had a shoulder strap, but I probably have an extra around the house

This is a great backpack. I needed to get a backpack since I am going back to school. First thing is that the speaker is detachable. It also has pop out stands so you can stand it up. First, you can put your MP3 player in the back of the speaker. You can do this while the speaker is attached or detached. It has its own headphone jack in the back and can be used entirely separately. That is the best feature about it.

Second, you can put your mp3 player directly in the front of the backpack in a clear pouch pocket on the strap. There is an extension with another headphone jack in the front. You can plug in either the headphone jack from the back into it, or a pair of headphones.

Pros:

-Great sounding portable speaker system

-lots of room in the backpack

-many storage compartments

-durable

-relatively light weight for a backpack with a built in speaker

-convenient places to put mp3 player.

-Detachable speaker is great

-a pretty good backpack for school, camping, or whatever you use a pack for.

Cons:

-No sternum strap. With so many backpacks having these today it is missed in this backpack simply because the sternum strap's purpose is to distribute the weight evenly. It is a missed necessity, but because of the big padding, it is tolerable without it.

-No place for a pair of headphones to stick out of the top. You have to make them come out of the zipper. It is more of a nitpicky thing, but would have been a nice addition.

-No volume control on the speaker itself. Probably save power this way, but if I could balance the speaker volume with the MP3 volume I can probably even better quality. The quality is still good though, I just like to be able to turn it up louder without the distortion and not having a volume control on the speaker itself does not enable me to do that.

All in all this is a good backpack. It has a very padded snug fit to it. There is a laptop pouch in it as well as many pouches and pencil holders. The speaker can be used with anything that takes a standard headphone jack so it works for portable DVD players, laptops, etc.... I have also tried out the speaker with all kinds of music from heavy metal, to hip hop, to smooth jazz, to country, and it really sounds good with all of them. Has a good bass for a 3 AA battery speaker! If your looking for a backpack and a portable speaker all at the same time, this saves you time and effort. Good buy and I would highly recommend it.

This is a well made, quality backpack with many pockets. It has plenty of room for books, iPod or Smart Phone, computer, etc. The speaker requires 3 AA batteries and sounds great considering the size.

I replaced my old shoulder backpack with this beauty from Sharper Image. I have long been a Sharper Image customer the name is synominous with quality. I am totally happy with this piece of art. Kipling Challenger Medium Backpack

I bought this to use to travel back to the US from Afghanistan. It is just the right size. I am completely in love with this bag. I can comfortably fit some clothes, my archos and everything I need to get back to the US on my multiple trips. I am now using it daily to go back and forth from work. I also like the extra compartments inside. Extremely useful backpack and I am very glad I bought it.

I have the Kipling diaper bag which I love. However, as my baby gets older, I realize I don't need all the stuff I was carrying around before. Also, a shoulder bag is just too bulky since I baby wear her alot. I was looking for a backpack to transition to and didn't like any of the diaper bag backpacks. They are also way to big and bulky.

This bag is awesome. I like that it's opens fairly wide so that you can see into the bottom of the bag. It's also not to tall so that the bag doesn't have that 'black hole' affect. The inside is a contrasting color so you can actually see into the bag. It doesn't have any inner pockets but it still works for us because of how deep it opens. There are two outside pockets that don't take up room on the inside of the bag. Even when we travel and the bag is loaded, it's very lightweight. You barely notice it's on your back. I can see using this bag through my baby's diaper bag years. Overall, a really great backpack.

Samsonite Leverage Laptop Backpack

I bought this bag to replace my Targus Groove bookbag, after giving it to my little brother. This bookbag does not have the usual small pockets in front or on the side, but trust there are plenty of interior pockets, compartments, and dividers to suit your business and personal use.

This is a Samaonite bag, which initially tells me it is built for travel. I am a accounting consultant that travels weekly. The material feels durable, especially the leather handle at the top. The dividers may not be considered useful to someone buying this bag for personal use, but the bag is HUGE on the inside so anyone can make it work.

The straps are very strong. I'm 6'5" and the straps don't seem short as noted in reviews of other Samaonite bags.

There is a zipper pocket at the top for mp3, cellphone, or anything moderately sized. I keep my phone and headphones in that pocket to give me quick access when I'm at a cruising altitude.

The laptop compartment comfortably fits my dell 15.6" laptop. I like the bubble shaped cushion in the laptop compartment. There is also a lot of cushion on the part of the bag that rest against your bag.

I highly recommend this bag. If I find and cons I will update this review.

This laptop backpack is perfect for macbook pro 15' and 13'. I find it extremely easy to use in travelling.

I have had this bag for three years ,and tt is still holding up as if I bought it only a few month's ago!!

We purchased this backpack for our daughter (fifth grade). Another older daughter has used the same one in high school. It meets the younger one's needs nicely. Nice size. Plenty of space. The high schooler has beat up hers, filling it up and it is starting to tear. But I don't know a kid who is easy on a backpack. Pretty good book pack, smaller size fits our 4th grader well with just the right amount of room. Live right down the street from LL Bean and have always been happy with their product but looking for a more hip less kiddie look and this was it.

Pack is comfortable and stays put when biking even though no sternum or waste belt. Construction is solid heavy nylon, lined, with oversized zippers etc.. Missing a lanyard style key clip / retainer that has always come in handy in other packs. Would also prefer padded or felt lined zippered phone pocket rather than pouch on strap.

All said solid 4 stars, really a good size, rectangular construction to fit books well and sits close to the body. Kid can stand up straight, doesn't look like it is turning him into a hunchback like his other school packs.

Kelty Women's Yuma Daypack

I've had for about a month now & so far I love this backpack! I'm 5'4" and the straps are fine for me. It fits alot of stuff (I frequently carry gym clothes/sneakers or stop on the way home for groceries), and all without the zippers splitting open. The side pockets hold in your water bottles and commuter mugs (they don't pop out like other bags). The mesh pocket is handy for sunglasses, etc. it doesn't fit my bike helmet, but I have a Nutcase which is rather large. Overall love it!

I use a backpack when we go on day trips and this will be perfect. Lots of zippers and space. The straps are a little harder than I would like but hopefully they will get better with use.

Piel Leather Traditional Backpack - Saddle

I shopped a lot for a leather backpack, and I am very happy with this one. It has one large pocket and two smaller pockets--one with the pen, credit card holder. It also has a side zipper for another access to the large pocket. The shoulder straps are comfortable and the bag does not feel heavy when full. It's a little hard to adjust the straps because they are leather, but not a big deal. The saddle color is darker than is appears in the image. I really like the bag.

I don't like purses so this was the perfect backpack for me: Thick but soft leather with all the features I am used to from my previous Jansport etc. backpacks. I have had it for over a year now. I use it every day and it's still in good shape. Zippers are holding up, roomy enough for small shopping trips (skip the plastic bags) and enough little pockets for keys, lip balm, pens and such. Great alternative if you don't like purses.

Yens Fantasybag Mono-Strap Backpack-Khaki,6BP-05

I'm a college student. I usually carry with me my macbook air 13" and then just a notebook or two with a couple paperbacks. That being said I don't carry heavy textbooks ever oh the perks of being a humanities major. Also I have a very light computer. NOTE: A computer bigger than 13 inches WILL NOT FIT IN THIS BAG. So for my use I'm not super hard on it, or testing its limits. For the price even if this baby only lasts me a semester I'll still be happy. However I've been using it for over a month and no signs of wear yet. It's actually my favorite backpack to date. Just very practical and remotely professional, or at least unchildish looking. The shoulder strap is very comfy but does ride up if my load is really light for the day. There is a cell phone pocket on the strap that in theory would be great, but I can't imagine any phone fitting into it since it's so small. My one real scruple is I wish there was an inner pocket that I could put some tampons and money in. There are really only in the main pocket a few open pockets for like pencils, but I suppose you can't have everything. Overall, I love the bag and the price.

The wife and I took a recent trip to Disney World. The weather forecast was for rain during much of our visit, so we decided to purchase a couple of messenger-type backpacks for the trip to hold umbrellas, rain ponchos and snacks. The strap pocket for the cell phone on this pack had no closure and my cell phone slid out of it a couple of times, so we switched packs and I used the one purchased for my wife, the Yen's SB-6826. This pack had a zippered pocket with a mesh inner lining for the phone and we didn't have to worry about losing the phone. The largest zippered opening was slightly shorter than the zipper on the 6BP-05 and our large umbrella wouldn't fit inside of the Urban pack. Both packs were comfortable to carry and not a nuisance like larger packs we've used in the past. One drawback for both packs is the shoulder strap is made from from slick material and so the pack would constantly keep sliding off our shoulders. It would be nice if there was some type of non-slip material on the shoulder strap.

I was looking for a neutral bag for both myself and my husband to share carrying on our trip. It is neutral. However, the strap is so scratchy it can irritate the nap. It is very cheaply made(think Walmart) and the mesh pocket that should hold water bottles, doesn't. It is way too small. I got around that buy turning the bottles upside down. Just make sure the lid is closed tightly. That pocket for cell phones might have held one before smart phones, but not today's. An iPod won't even fit in there. Overall a decent bag, but don't expect too much.

The size is okay , as it turns out. There is a pouch on the shoulder strap that would be perfect for a phone, but it is too small for my Samsung T404Samsung T404G Prepaid Phone (Net10) which is smaller than most smart phones. I wanted a simpler bag than I had, as it was floppy and stuff got lost in it. This is an improvement in those directions. The color is neutral and pleasant, and the strap is oriented well. I can wear on one shoulder, or loop it over my head, cross body fashion.I usually carry vitamins and supplements, some earplugs Etymotic Research ER20 High-Fidelity Earplugs-White with Clear Steman iPod(which it has a special weatherproof earphone port for), work gloves, poop bags for my dog, maybe some water and a sweatshirt or thin jacket. I keep losing and/or dropping my phone, so I had hoped for a built in pocket for that.In the future I might be carrying a netbook, which would easily fit, probably a smallish laptop would fit. I'll likely add something on the shoulder strap for the phone. I DO like the un-complicated exterior, and the bag holds its shape without being overly stiff. The bag has taped internal seams, and is constructed durably. The part that goes against my back is lightly padded.
