I'm a college student. I usually carry with me my macbook air 13" and then just a notebook or two with a couple paperbacks. That being said I don't carry heavy textbooks ever oh the perks of being a humanities major. Also I have a very light computer. NOTE: A computer bigger than 13 inches WILL NOT FIT IN THIS BAG. So for my use I'm not super hard on it, or testing its limits. For the price even if this baby only lasts me a semester I'll still be happy. However I've been using it for over a month and no signs of wear yet. It's actually my favorite backpack to date. Just very practical and remotely professional, or at least unchildish looking. The shoulder strap is very comfy but does ride up if my load is really light for the day. There is a cell phone pocket on the strap that in theory would be great, but I can't imagine any phone fitting into it since it's so small. My one real scruple is I wish there was an inner pocket that I could put some tampons and money in. There are really only in the main pocket a few open pockets for like pencils, but I suppose you can't have everything. Overall, I love the bag and the price.

The wife and I took a recent trip to Disney World. The weather forecast was for rain during much of our visit, so we decided to purchase a couple of messenger-type backpacks for the trip to hold umbrellas, rain ponchos and snacks. The strap pocket for the cell phone on this pack had no closure and my cell phone slid out of it a couple of times, so we switched packs and I used the one purchased for my wife, the Yen's SB-6826. This pack had a zippered pocket with a mesh inner lining for the phone and we didn't have to worry about losing the phone. The largest zippered opening was slightly shorter than the zipper on the 6BP-05 and our large umbrella wouldn't fit inside of the Urban pack. Both packs were comfortable to carry and not a nuisance like larger packs we've used in the past. One drawback for both packs is the shoulder strap is made from from slick material and so the pack would constantly keep sliding off our shoulders. It would be nice if there was some type of non-slip material on the shoulder strap.

I was looking for a neutral bag for both myself and my husband to share carrying on our trip. It is neutral. However, the strap is so scratchy it can irritate the nap. It is very cheaply made(think Walmart) and the mesh pocket that should hold water bottles, doesn't. It is way too small. I got around that buy turning the bottles upside down. Just make sure the lid is closed tightly. That pocket for cell phones might have held one before smart phones, but not today's. An iPod won't even fit in there. Overall a decent bag, but don't expect too much.

The bag is well made and big enough for everything you'd need for the day, but...it is not Tan as pictured. It's more of a dark khaki. I think a guy would like it but for the gals...it's Quite ugly actually.

The size is okay , as it turns out. There is a pouch on the shoulder strap that would be perfect for a phone, but it is too small for my Samsung T404Samsung T404G Prepaid Phone (Net10) which is smaller than most smart phones. I wanted a simpler bag than I had, as it was floppy and stuff got lost in it. This is an improvement in those directions. The color is neutral and pleasant, and the strap is oriented well. I can wear on one shoulder, or loop it over my head, cross body fashion.I usually carry vitamins and supplements, some earplugs Etymotic Research ER20 High-Fidelity Earplugs-White with Clear Steman iPod(which it has a special weatherproof earphone port for), work gloves, poop bags for my dog, maybe some water and a sweatshirt or thin jacket. I keep losing and/or dropping my phone, so I had hoped for a built in pocket for that.In the future I might be carrying a netbook, which would easily fit, probably a smallish laptop would fit. I'll likely add something on the shoulder strap for the phone. I DO like the un-complicated exterior, and the bag holds its shape without being overly stiff. The bag has taped internal seams, and is constructed durably. The part that goes against my back is lightly padded.
