I always dread having to replace a laptop backpack...I'm pretty picky about my bags. It has to be decent-looking for business, roomy and comfortable for travel, and well-organized for my sanity.

This bag meets all of the criteria...and makes me wonder why I was stressing about having to buy a new one! It's more spacious than I expected -I wasn't sure if I'd be able to tuck a spare shirt and unmentionables into it when I have to check my suitcase, and I was able to do that and more. Lots of very sturdy pockets with velcro closures, which I especially like. And it's cute-yet-professional. I've only had the bag a week or so, and I've got comments galore. I may have to plan ahead and buy a second one for when I have to replace this bag...

I had been looking for a "cute" computer backpack for a long time at retail stores in my area. All I could find were black, masculine-looking packs. I found this backpack on Amazon and liked the way it looked. Based on the good reviews, I decided to purchase it. I love it! It has plenty of room for my 15" laptop & lots of storage for things like cords, my small flask-shaped portable hard drive, my iPod, a book or two, and more. It is comfortable on my back and shoulders, due to cushioning and wide straps. I feel confident that my laptop is safe and secure in this pack as I lug it to and from my job as a school teacher. In addition, the pack appears to be well-made and durable. Given all these factors, I consider this backpack to be an excellent value and highly recommend it.

This backpack is more than I expected, and I am very happy I bought it. There is plenty of room for my laptop, USB mouse, cooling pad, and several other portable electronic gadgets (camera, camcorder, iPod) and all of their associated cables. I am going to love traveling with this bag.

I bought this for my 11 year old daughter for school. It fits several large text books & her laptop. She says she really likes the padding cause it keeps the straps from digging into her shoulders. She also likes the mp3/iPod pocket with the earphone slots so she can listen to music.

I got this to manage easy traveling between college n work and it's amazing. Not only is it comfortable on my back but there is plenty of storage space after my laptop is put in for a book or two and a binder. There is storage space inside and out. It is also a bonus for it to be so stylish. Would highly recommend this backpack. It is good quality. I love it and it was worth every penny.

I wanted a backpack that will support my back because I carry so much stuff. I was planning on buying a rolling backpack but I didn't have a good experience with them lol.

Anyways I came across these types of backpacks on living social but I found this one much cheaper on amazon lol. I decided to try it out because of its "airbak technology".

There is card board in the backpack, I am assuming its to keep the backpack up right and the air bag on the bottom of the bag and bottom half of the back. So far it's really great, but its not for me. The size in the picture looked big and I thought it was going to fit all my stuff. (I guess I should've look or research for the size of this backpack lol)So this is not for people who carry loads of stuff on their back.

Ideally, this backpack is for people who carry an average or less amount of random stuff, not too heavy and not to light, (books, laptop, etc) Even though it didn't fit my things, I decided to test it by putting an average amount of what most people would carry. Well it works, it keeps your back straight and it does feel like you are carrying half the weight.

So if you are carry like 20 pounds or less on your back, I would say get it but it's up to you.

As for the airback technology, its just a bag filled with air at the bottom half of the back. I have heard that it may deflate but if you have the sport ball pump, I think that will work, although I am no sure. The hole looks a little bigger that a ball hole.

I bought this with the matching 2 ski wheeled bag for a trip to S. America. Both items worked wonderfully. The boot bag is enormous. I carried in on the flight and filled it with not only my boots, but a pillow, laptop, toiletries etc. and once at the mountain, this thing carried all my gear and boots. Not an ergonomic backpack, but perfect for getting lots of your stuff to your destination.

I have used one like this before and love it. I like the fact that you can carry your boots on your back, leaving your hands free for carrying other things. It is roomy and the additional zipper pockets assure you will be able to get all your gear from one place to another easily.

My husband and I both bought one of these bags two years ago. We do not ski or have ski boots. We bought them because we wanted a back pack that we could fit a lot in and still carry on a plane when we travel. Our first trip was 11 days in Spain; these were perfect. We take these bags on every trip and no longer use any of our other luggage. We bought packing cubes as well which allows us to pack a ton of stuff in an organized manner. The bag fits perfectly in most overhead bins. My husband recently flew on a smaller aircraft and was able to put it under the seat with no problem. They have held up very well over the past two years and we travel a lot. I would recommend everyone get rid of their stupid roller suitcases and just travel with one of these!

Backpack ran a size smaller than I thought. The space inside is tight. I can only see a child using this back for school. Secondly it isn't very strong. The first day I used it the little silver circular handles for the zip popped right off, because the rings attached to the zips are loose.

This Bag is visually very appealing. the fact that it is all white attracts a lot of eyes. it looks very stylish. it gives the look of being modern and rustic at the same time and dont be thrown off by the white, It is all white but i have had it for 3 months now it still is all white. no staining or visible marks whatsoever. And YES i do use it EVERYDAY. not exaggerating. I am currently a full time student with a part time job at a hotel. I take this bag to all my classes and all the way to work. I am not a very careful person by all means. I get clumsy and drop things everywhere. I dont treat this bag like its more important than my life. I put it on the floor. walk in the rain( yes its very waterproof) put all my books and notebooks plus my 15"macbookpro in it. The bag hasnt failed me in any means. Looks great. it has one Big main compartment that fits almost anything. it has a small pocket on the front that can hold miscellaneous paper stuff.. i personally put my checkbook and my cellphone in there(its not safe i know.. blahblaha) and it fits perfectly and also i can easily reach for my phone when it goes off rather than having to sift through a blackhole of a purse. The two pockets in on the sides are quite small so i put my thumb drives and erasers in there. and spare coins on the other pocket.

By all means I love this bag. it makes a statement on its own. It looks nice and functions perfectly for me. I have gotten numerous complements with this both in school and at work.

now for CONS: ( it doesnt matter to me. but its worth mentioning for people looking at buying this... its always better to know what to expect rather than expect too much and be disappointed)

-The hardware on this is quite on the cheap side. not that there is a lot, there's only the buckle for the straps and the zippers and magnet clasps. Especially the buckle thingy that holds the straps together... its kinda flimsy feeling and its really thin. it threw me off at first but its been working fine so far so good.

-The entrance to the main compartment is just a scrunch up kinda thing (i dont know the actual term for it.) but that two strap thingie you see hanging in between the buckles thats the only thing closing and opening the bag and there is no extra hardware attached to it so sometimes you have to tie it to actually secure it. ( but i just push it all the way up and secure the two magnet clasps it works for me but it can be a hassle to some people) There is a small compartment within the main compartment and the zipper in there is kinda weak cheap looking but its been holding for me.

-The main compartment is huge. so things can get lost down there... so id suggest refraining from stuffing your little items in the main compartment. IT WILL GET LOST. Also the lining for this is kinda cheap yellow looking material.

*** That being said, Even with all its short comings. I LOVE THIS BAG. Ive tested it and it passed. ^__^ i did get into kinda trouble with the shipping due to the package being supposedly "lost in transit" and it arrived a little late but that was within the hurricane sandy recovering period so i didnt mind.

I spent a lot of time picking out my backpack for college. I got this one back in July and I absolutely love it, I use it everyday to carry all my school work plus my lessons for work it is really sturdy and has taken quite a beating and is still in excellent condition. Usually I don't buy white things but it really hasn't been getting dirty.

The graphics on the bag could have been a little better but no big deal. The thing I don't like about this thing is that if you leave the handles out to carry it like a suitcase, the top remains open because the handles are sown to the inside of the bag, so it does not feel that secure when used that way. It has room from your laptop and a mouse pad...that's it.

This is a nice looking briefcase for the price, if I could I would give it 4.5 stars. If it didn't have the problem with the latch I would gladly give it a 5 star rating. I only use it once a week and have a few small books that have a combine weight of approximately 5 pounds. Bases on how often I use the briefcase and the stuff I carry in it I expected to last me a few years. The quality of the material looks really nice both in the inside and outside. I would also like to add that this is the first briefcase that I have purchased but overall I'm please with the item.

This is a magnificent bag, a great piece of craftsmanship that I get comments on all the time. The stiching, leather & lining are all top grade.

I searched long and hard for a bag of this style. Everything else of the quality I wanted was 2-3 times the price. Leyden & Sons have made a bag that I will be wearing for many years to come.

This bag is excellent for many reasons. However, I will state them concisely, in no particular order. First, it looks nice. Second, it has just the right amount of space. Third, it is versatile.

I ordered this bag for traveling with an 11" MacBook Air and the contents of my purse. Happily it arrived before a short trip so I could give it a test run before a longer vacation where I will likely want to have the Mac with me at least some of the time. It replaced a large and rather ratty backpack, and it's a gigantic step up. The Mac fits snugly and perfectly in the bag, leaving room for cell phone, wallet and 2 smallish zip bags with cosmetic stuff and other gadgetry. Side zip pocket perfect for ID, passport, boarding pass whatever. Glasses pouch is a nice touch, eliminating the need for a separate glasses case.

The leather is dark, heavy, and matte. It is understated and beautiful. I like the fact that the strap is a leather-webbing combination, as it manages to be lighter, more flexible and still strong all at the same time. I'm not a tall person (5'4" when I elongate as much as possible) and it's not unduly large for me to carry as a messenger bag style. I believe that this will join the pantheon of perfect-for-the-task bags in my collection!

ps. It also is the perfect size to slide into the first class sliding overhead bin on a Canadair Regional Jet 700. That is one tiny bin that would never accept a briefcase or regular laptop bag. The Mailboy slid in there perfectly!

pps I have a feeling that my 6' husband will be ogling this bag too, but fortunately he carries a larger laptop. Ha!

I purchased this bag a few months ago after reading the reviews here on Amazon. I was in the market for a small messenger bag that would fit magazines and a couple of books while maintaining a minimalist design. I have received countless compliments on the bag. It is simply beautiful and the craftsmanship is top-notch. I was looking for a bag made in the USA from quality materials and this is by far one of the best available. A couple of weeks ago I noticed a small flaw in the stitching on the corner of the bag and the owner of the company was quick to respond to my email. He said that I could bring the bag to a local leather or shoe shop and have it repaired and he would reimburse me. I haven't yet gone because I've been quite busy, but the promptness of the owner's response impressed me. Besides the small stitching issue, I feel the bag is perfect for my needs. Now that the iPad mini 2 is going to be released in the near future, I am even more excited as this bag will easily fit it and a full-sized travel Bluetooth keyboard that will eliminate the need to bring my 15" MacBook Pro around with me everywhere. The bag smells of real, natural leather and feels sturdy. I am confident that it will last a lifetime and will become even more beautiful as the leather wears and ages. I highly recommend this bag and the price is well-worth it.

I bought it, with a budget in mind and a liking for the style. When I first opened it, there was a really strong plastic or some weird smell. It's fainter now but it still has the smell...of cheap materials. The handles are really poorly made, they're thin straps basically that are inside, so while yes, when you don't need it (I hope you don't), it can be hidden...but when you need it, the zipper needs to be open to use it and it looks so weak that it'll rip within a few weeks of using it. It hasn't yet, but we'll see in the future. If your laptop's heavy, I recommend you not to use the strap. Use it as a laptop case, not carrier. However, one good thing for me about this item is the size. My laptop's big and fat, 15.6" and it fits it perfectly. It'll be wayy too big for the smaller laptops it's shown for though. I recommend it only if you have close to 15" laptops, not any smaller.

The sleeve itself is cute, it fits my laptop perfectly. However, the handles are on the inside, so if you want to use them you have to leave the very top part unzipped, which is annoying.

There's no pocket for any wires etc, which if thats not what you were looking forshouldnt matter. Over allpretty good.

Mountain Khakis Mk Field Bag

The Mountain Khakis Field Bag has an awesome look and feel. The leather accents are thick and very attractive. Nothing about the build quality of this bag is cheap. You can tell this thing will take a beating and last a very long time. Biggest disappointment for me is that they claim it will fit a 15" lap top. (Not if you have a MacBook Pro) It is definitely not suited for a 15" but certainly fits a 13" MacBook. The 15" sticks out the top and trying to zip the top is an exercise in aggravation, not to mention that you will likely destroy the side of your expensive MacBook with the Zipper pull and the inside pocket held on with snaps that will rub against the un-protected part of the lap top sticking out. Definitely would recommend if you have a small laptop or iPad. Not 15" friendly.

Powerbag Messenger Bag with Battery for Charging Smartphones, Tablets and eReaders - Grey

I bought this bag at Best Buy as I was in a hurry to get a bag for my personal laptop prior to a recent vacation. I've got a leather laptop bag for my work laptop but wanted something a little lighter and newer. After taking it on a 2 week vacation I can say that the bag is attractive, well made, and the chargers work as advertised. I typically didn't need to charge my phone more than once at a time as I had access to power except on the plane, however, my guess is the charger could charge at least a couple times before it would be depleted. You simply plug the bag into the wall with the provided cord and lights on the bag tell you when the internal battery is charging and is charged full.

My problem with this bag is it could easily be so much better. Yes, as others said its got a lot of pockets, but they're all tiny!!! unless you need 15 little pockets to hold change, chicklets, etc, they are not all that useful. It would be great to have 1 big pocket on the back so you can have quick access to travel documents, reservations, etc. without having to open the bag. But there are no pockets bigger than a coin pocket outside the bag. And while the bag flap has a really cute little retractable clasp, I found it more of a frustration trying to dig the elastic clasp out of its sheath to open the bag to get at the inside of the bag. Again inside the bag there are no full size pockets except for the one to hold the laptop which is where I kept 8.5" x 11" documents. There is medium sized pouch attached to the laptop compartment divider, but that's it for pockets bigger than one that would hold a passport.

This bag is wonderful. My laptop, ipad, kindle fire, iphone, and work blackberry all fit with plenty of room for pens, business cards, cables, headphones, and more. This is a true messenger bag, so it comes with a waist strap that I'll make good use of when it warms up on my motorcycle. There are only two problems I've encountered with the bag. #1 is the pen loops in one of the pockets can't hold anything but a smaller pen. None of my pens will fit in the loops and there's plenty of places to put a pen elsewhere, but why put the loops there when there are other spots that would allow any pen to fit? The second is before you can use the bag you have to cut a cable tie inside the bag. I got the tie cut without cutting anything else, but I'm sure plenty of people will slip and cut the inside of their bag.

I've had this bag for almost a year and use it on my daily commute.

Nice to have when the battery on my kindle, touchpad, or phone gets low while I'm sitting on the train. Works as advertised in that regard. As other reviewers pointed out though, the power connectors are a little short. So I ended up ordering an extension cable for the micro USB connector. I'd also agree that the outside pockets on the bag have awkward shapes/sizes, but that hasn't really been a problem for me.

The only real problem I've had is with the shoulder strap. After about 10 months of daily use, the shoulder strap just broke apart and the bag fell to the ground while I was walking. (Before that happened, I was going to give a 5-star review.) The problem is the hardware has joints that allow it to rotate, but the parts are too small and grind down over time. Eventually the joint just comes apart -and hopefully whatever you've got in your bag doesn't get damaged when it hits the ground.

I contacted customer service and the rep sent me a replacement shoulder strap at no charge. So no complaints there. Interestingly, the rep said she'd never heard of this problem before. After one day of using the new shoulder strap, I noticed the paint was already worn off in the same place it failed before. They should have made the joints larger and more rugged so they don't wear down so easily. I added some grease to the joint to hopefully help it last longer. If you don't do a lot of walking with this bag, you may never run into this problem. I problably average at least a mile per day with it.

Another problem with the strap is that the D-shaped rings on the bag tend to rotate out of position because the nylon loop has too much play in it. When the D-shaped ring is rotated the wrong way while you're walking, it grinds notches into both sides of the metal hooks on the strap. There's really no way to stop this from happening. The nylon loops should have been tighter. This is not where the shoulder strap failed on me, but it looks like another potential failure point if I used it for several years. Last of all, the shoulder pad was coming apart at the seams before I got the replacement, and looks like it would not have lasted more than 2 years. But again, if I'd only used this bag for occasional travel and short walks to/from the car, I wouldn't have seen this much wear and tear.

Overall I like the bag and it's a great concept, but if you plan on walking with it a lot you may want to swap out the shoulder strap with something that will last longer.

This is a great idea in principle. I first saw powerbags in an airport shop, but they only had the tablet and backpack options. I really liked the tablet one, but it was too small to carry anything else, and I really needed something I could use for work. This bag will carry a standard laptop and maybe a 1 1/2" binder, so perfect, right?

Not so much... the other (billions of) pockets are too small to be of much good (unless you've got a LOT of loose change to carry around).

I was drawn to this bag not only for the coolness factor (power! in a bag!) but because it seemed to have tons of pockets for all my devices.

The interior pockets were okay; your standard nice padded space for a laptop with a strap and a biggish pocket next to it. But none of the smaller pockets were of a size that would fit my Kindle Touch, not even the one with the power cord for the Kindle. None of the outside pockets were very convenient to get to, either, including the one which might charge/hold a smartphone. To get to those you'd have to unlatch the main flap, which ain't easy.

Looks-wise, eh. It looked cooler in the pictures. That said it seemed nicely made with a good strap.

This bag might be okay for storage and powering-up, but I can't imagine carrying it in an airport. In the end I had to return it.
