Designer Sleeves 13.0 Designer Sleeve - Pink Hearts

Designer Sleeves 13.0 Designer Sleeve - Pink HeartsI purchased 2 of these bags now and the zipper broke on both within a week. If you don't care if it zips up, it's a fun looking bag. But if you want something you can safely zip your laptop in, this is not it.

If you have to carry your laptop around, do it in style. Nicer than the plain black cases that are out there. Great fit for my macbook pro.

Eddie Bauer® Olympus Backpack - Red/ Gray

Eddie Bauer® Olympus Backpack - Red/ GrayThis bag is great. I like to have two big pockets for my laptop in one and my notebooks in the other. I have had this backpack for at least 4 years. The bag has out lasted the zippers. I would keep this bag, if there was a way I could fix the zippers. This bag is worth the money!

Great pockets and comfort. I carry around books and binders for 4 CSS courses a day and it feels great. The shoulder straps are what sold me. Great comfort for the price. The only other options (at Target) were the Swiss Gear and Jansport. The jansport was not as comfortable and the swissgear was too small. I'll find out in a few weeks if it can hold up to the abuse!

My kids kept complaining that their school backpacks were breaking easily and were uncomfortable when they carried heavy books so I decided to purchase a more expensive brand. I was really pleased with those Eddie Bauer backpacks as they lasted many years. The padding and the straps are thicker than other backpacks we used before.

Baggallini Luggage Roundtrip Bag

Baggallini Luggage Roundtrip Bag, Black, One SizeI love the Baggallini Roundtrip cross-body bag. I wanted something that would hold just a few items -wallet, coin purse, keys, cell phone, lip balm, comb, business cards, and possibly a pen and some paper. This is the perfect bag for these things. It could probably hold a few more things, such as sunscreen or gloves, hand wipes, and a Kindle. I love the wide straps, since narrow straps cut into my shoulders. The nylon fabric resists lint and pet hair, so it looks tidy even though my house isn't. It's much wider than my old purse, but it's very flat so I can't stuff it full of too many things. Which is great for me, but if you're looking at the height and width and expecting to be able to put a lot of things in it, you'll be disappointed. I've only had it a week, so I can't comment about durability, but it seems well-made. There are several compartments. In the picture, you can see a large and a small zip compartment. What you can't see is that the smaller zip compartment lifts up to reveal another zip compartment of equal size underneath it, just big enough to hold a wallet or keys. And there is a large pocket-style compartment in the back, held closed with one snap. Inside the main zip compartment, there is a small zip compartment and organizer pockets for holding several credit/ID/business cards, two pens, and a smartphone or PDA. The main compartment also holds a small cosmetics purse, which is clipped to a strap that attaches to the inside lining.

I like this bag it is sleek and compact. A couple of things to be aware of: there is not room for extra stuff (like sunglasses), and it is a bit dark/difficult to see all your cards in the 10-card built-in organizer.

Overland Equipment Acadia Bag

Overland Equipment Acadia BackpackNot a bad backpack, however keep in mind that its height is at least 4 inches bigger than the one specified. I ordered it thinking of a much smaller backpack and I am not happy at all with its size. Quality and material are good but the interior is not so well organized. Knowing its real size I would have stick to my Eagle Creek Hitch which is in my opinion a better backpack with a lower price.

Perfect backpack! I have over 20 backpacks , but this is one of the best. It's not so beautiful , but T can use it so comfortable. Also I go to work which carry almost over 6kg things.

This is my second bag from Overland Equipment. They make great products that I have gotten lots of compliments on around campus. This bag is fairly typical as far as backpacks go, but subtle touches make it a winner. The separate pocket for my laptop is great makes it easy to pull it out quickly and put it away. The water bottle side pocket is adjustable fits two 16oz bottles or my Nalgene. The back is well padded too which makes it more comfortable to carry around. Overall, a wonderful bag.

Spiderman Toddler Rolling Backpack

Spiderman Toddler Rolling BackpackThis is an awesome toddler backpack. My 2 (almost 3) year old son and my 3 (almost 4) year old nephew love their new backpacks.

The backpack is medium sized, the straps are padded, and it looks even better in person than in the picture.

This is the boys' new favorite way to pack their Ben 10 and Spiderman toys and take them everywhere they go.

This is a really nice quality backpack, and it seems to be able to hold up to a lot of abuse, which I'm sure the boys will put theirs through...

Eagle Creek Traverse Pro Daypack, Black, 22-Inch

Eagle Creek Traverse Pro Daypack, Black, 22-InchWhen I first saw the Eagle Creek Traverse Pro Daypack luggage, I knew it met the requirements I had been looking for my international travels. My wife and I are retired and travel 5~7 weeks at least twice a year. We need lightweight luggage that can be put on planes, trains, buses and moved on busy, cobbled streets. I am a professional photographer and my wife uses a computer and research books in our travels. What is so nice about this luggage is that it is about 6 lbs and the front zips off as a back pack so I can put the back portion in the upper bin of a plane and put things I will use during the flight in the small packpack and put it under my seat. As I always carry my cameras, laptop, MP3 player and other necessary electronics onboard with me, it is important my luggage can accomodate these items and that they are readily accessible. The benefit of the Eagle Creek Traverse is its superb design and quality construction. I have traveled for over 50 years throughout the U.S. and worldwide for business and travel. This is the best luggage I have found at any price.

I did some serious research before making this purchase.

I needed a definitive go-to carry-on that would allow me to be flexible to make week long trips and last me a few years. Plus the flexibility of a detachable day pack was a great add on.

It is the most expensive carry on I have bought (U$299). What clinched the deal is the lifetime warranty and the other scores of great reviews I came across in this site and others.

Indeed, so far (3 months) it has fulfilled my expectations. Great materials, finishing, stitching, handle... solid wheeling. Fits perfectly in planes compartments.

i.e. great bag.

However, there are some details that (at least for me) make it not be the dream bag I was hoping for.

1) The zipper that attaches detachable daypack to the bag has no "lock" or anything that holds it in place once it is fully zipped. So when the backpack is zipped up to a full bag, the zipper keeps sliding up with the pressure. But it does unzip about 1/5 of the way. This does not mean the daypack detaches, but it could potentially (unlikely), separate from the bag.

2) The top of the bag (where the handle meets the bag) is inclined. Biggest drawback.

Now, there must be a reason for this design. However, it is annoying that other small packs or bags that you might want to rest on top of the carryon, keep sliding down, due to its shape. I.e. If you have a shopping bag or another backpack that does not attach to the handle you will not be able to place it on top of the bag at rest, and even while you are rolling, there is little stability as it keeps swaying from side to side.

3) The large ring zippers. Minor thing. Granted they might be helpful in some situations, but they can also cause problems by getting stuck into the latches and other things that are plentiful in cars, planes, busses, etc. Some might prefer it. I just don't see the benefit.

Conclusion : This is a great, well made bag, which will last. It has 1 major (inclined top), 1 medium (daypack zipper) and 1 minor (rings) flaw.

Will I keep it ? Yes, for the investment.

Would I recommend it? If the inability to support other bags on its inclined top does not bother you, yes.

Buy Eagle Creek Traverse Pro Daypack, Black, 22-Inch Now

I think Eagle Creek may have changed the designation of this bag. A few months back, I bought a 19" version, at that time called "Tarmac Plus One". That line seems to have been discontinued -or maybe the line's been renamed "Traverse Pro". In any case (no pun intended) I liked the 19" Tarmac Plus One so much that I bought its slightly larger (but otherwise similar) cousin, the "Traverse Pro 22". The features I like:

* Two-part case, easily connected (and disconnected) with sturdy zipper.

* When disconnected, the front (the "daypack") has a thin "slot" at the back that slides over the extended handle of the back of the case. When you're rolling it behind you, the daypack stays put (in my experience, for most roller bags, if you put another case on top of the roller, it tends to spin about & drop on the floor -but here, the narrow slot holds the upper bag very steady around the handle).

* The handle extends a long way easy to drag the roller behind you without catching your heels.

* The daypack has several well-designed pockets (they differ a bit between the 19" & 22" versions that I have). Both versions have laptop storage, pen pockets, places for paperwork, etc.

* The daypack has backpack straps, but they can be neatly tucked away. I tend not to use them -I just use the handle on the top, to carry it like a regular laptop bag.

* Very easy to roll onto a plane, put the bottom half in the overhead, and slide the daypack under the seat.

* As usual with Eagle Creek, very solid manufacture -it'll last for years.

So, lots of Pros. The only (slight) Con is that the lower case is pretty much devoid of features. But that's OK, it's meant to be the main storage area for clothes etc: and it does that just fine.

All in all, highly recommended. My only problem now is trying to prevent my wife from grabbing it when we're going on vacation :-) !!

We are buying a second set since I keep borrowing the one I bought for my daughter. Sturdy, easy to pack, roomy, fits perfectly in overhead, wheels are durable, looks good, doesn't topple over (like other brands I've had).

Want Eagle Creek Traverse Pro Daypack, Black, 22-Inch Discount?

Most of the time, when traveling on the smaller "toy" airplanes that fly in and out of smaller airports, I am forced to "gate-check" bags that would otherwise fit into the overhead bins on larger planes. I was able to unzip and carry-on the top portion, which contained my laptop and travel documents, and let the airline gorillas and sneak-thieves handle only the bottom portion, into which I packed only clothing.

My only complaint is that the lid to the bottom portion of the bag will not stand upright or fold back, making it necessary to hold it with one hand while packing it with the other.

Girls Purple Sequin Sparkle Stars Dance Backpack Medium Girls 4-9 Backpack

Girls Purple Sequin Sparkle Stars Dance Backpack Medium Girls 4-9 BackpackI love this backpack! I bought it for my 2 year old, so I didnt want too big of a backpack, this one is the perfect size for her! And the side pockets fit her drink in them! Shipping was fast and easy!

Timbuk2 Candybar Laptop Backpack (Black/Black/Black, Medium)

Timbuk2 Candybar Laptop BackpackThe photos for this backpack show it has a printed liner. I actually almost didn't order it because I wasn't sure that liner was "me". However, my backpack arrived with a gray liner, which is perfect. But Amazon should probably update the photos because it isn't really representative of the item.

This is a smaller backpack I'm 5"2 and have a hard time finding a bag that doesn't overwhelm me. I need a bag to carry to and from work lunch & snacks, computer and papers, and all those little things that make life easier when you are away from home. Another reviewer described this as an "urban backpack" and I think that's spot on.

Even though it is small, it is very roomy. It is advertised to hold an iPad, but in reality, my 13" Mac Powerbook fits in the computer compartment perfectly. That, plus my lunch and a few zippered bags that contain my essentials don't even come close to filling the bag halfway. I'm planning on taking it on a weekend trip soon and I'm sure I can pack a pair of jeans and shirt and a second pair of shoes along with what's normally there.

I only have two complaints about the bag: 1) Because of the design of the organizer compartment, the bag tends to fall over instead of standing up (my wallet in the organizer pocket is heavier than the bag when the computer isn't in it. 2) The organizer pockets are short, meaning a fork and/or toothbrush can't sit in it (they do fit in my Small Timbuk2 Messenger bag).

I bought this backpack to carry my laptop on my commute to/from work every day. I take the train and a couple metros and have a little walk so I wanted something that would be small and easy to walk and easy to get the laptop out and put it away quickly as well.

This bag fits my 15" Dell Latitude Laptop, lunch and small pouch for personal items and plenty of room for the cord but luckily I don't need to carry the cord with me. Plently of room for a small umbrella or sweater too. There is cushion to protect the laptop but not for throwing the packpack around/being rough with it, just enough to keep it protected while moving around from place to place.

The flap is vlecro so if someone were to try to take something out of your bag, you would be well aware. The straps are curved which allows for a very comfortable fit. The outside zipper compartment is great for keeping small items handy pen/phone, etc. And there is a section that could easily fit a water bottle that is not in the same section as the main storage section where you would put a laptop. The "water bottle section" also has slots for cards but I would not use it for that since you could slip a hand in there pretty easily and grab a card or it could fall out so I wouldn't use that feature. There is also another zipper section within the "water bottle section" as well. Lots of places to put things and keep them well organized.

I would especially recommend this for women for the small size.

Kelty Women's Redstart 23 Daypack

Kelty Women's Redstart 23 DaypackMy only objection to this product was a total deal-breaker for me. The "one size" seems to be for someone with a very long torso and/or very large frame. I'm 5'3 to 5'4"-ish and kinda Medium sized.

I'm happy to adjust the fit using the usual daypack adjustment straps. This pack had these, but I felt that the range of adjustment was too limited. It may be difficult to make a large range of adjustments happen in female-friendly ways, so that may be why the range was limited. Tell the product manager to break this product into two sizes, or to market it more clearly. That would save everyone time and money.

So, the biggest problem that I had was the huge amount of length between the top of the shoulder straps and the highest possible place you can put the sternum strap. With the sternum strap across my sternum (as opposed to across somewhere lower, no thank you!), the shoulder straps were riding about 2-3" above my shoulders. I tried loading the pack to see if that helped. Nope.

The other problem I had was that when adjusting to shorten below the bustline, as well as when adjusting the waist strap in, the rather broad shoulder straps tended to scythe in at the sides. Way not female-friendly.

Too bad, as I just loved this product "on paper." Great & very thoughtful design of compartments and pockets, good color, nice price. Hence there are some stars (two).

If you have a long torso or large frame and have turn-around time to risk a return, give it a whirl. Otherwise beware.

Amazon's online return process was real easy to follow -just a few clicks and print a label. Kudos there.

Purchased this for my wife. She plans to use it for day hikes with the scouts. She is tall and was having problems getting a pack to fit right. This one fits her perfect, and she liked the padded straps, and the many divied compartments.

My Walmart backpack busted on the walk home from work while holding a ton of groceries. So I decided to get a better pack, this is decent for the price. It fits really well on me, although I wish it opened a bit wider and didn't have so many tiny compartments as soon as you open it but other than that the stiff hmpd back pad is so nice!

I have been looking for years for a women specific day pack that would meet all my requirments. I finally found it, and for a great price! Kelty quality construction. It will last a long, long time.

It isn't too big to use every day for any task, yet I can see taking it for a weekend trip (I am a light packer). it will be great for day hikes this summer. Has organizer compartment on inside of main compartment for all your little things, plus 2 mesh water bottle holders. Nice size for a woman, not too wide of shoulder straps. I am 5'7 and medium frame and it fits great, not too heavy or cumbersome.

DAKINE Mission Photo Pack

DAKINE Mission Photo Backpack - 1500cu in Timber 1, One SizeThis photo backpack is great. I purchased this backpack in the bomber pattern and color. I love it! There are many many photo backpacks out there like Apecase, or Lowepro, etc. I went with Dakine though because I have had other Dakine backpacks for many years now, and still own them, because they are the most durable backpack I have ever used. So I knew I could rely on their dependable quality.

I have a Canon Digital Rebel XTI that I use, and I take it everywhere in this backpack. Whether it be out hiking in the woods all day, walking around Pittsburgh taking photos for 10 hours, I have basically used this backpack in every possible situation, and it has never let me down. I have three lenses, my dslr, a small canon point and shoot, all my filters and accessories, such as extra batteries and many many other supplies, and even have either my full size tripod strapped onto it, or my compact Slik tripod stuffed inside. I always have this much gear in this bag, and it always stays comfortable. The padded straps are great, and so is the padding on the back of the bag, so your back does not get sore. I feel great after hiking for literally 10 hours on end.

This bag has a rain cover that covers everything, EXCEPT for the part that unzips, which is the part that would be facing your back. It is figured that that part will not get wet since it is protected by your back, and also, this is great so if it is one of those days it rains and stops about every half hour or so, you can leave your rain cover on, while still havign full access to your camera, without constantly adding the cover, then removing it, doing one giant cycle of frustration. Now as I did say earlier, the main zipper for the camera block is on the backside of the backpack, which is the side facing your back, as if you were wearing it. No one should have a problem wit hthis whatsoever, since you literally should be setting your bag down anyway to remove your camera, or replace a lens, etc.

I throw my compact tripod right inside, because it is only 14" in height. If I have my full size tripod, I simply strap it on vertically on the back and it works great. One thing I really do love about it is the fact that it has a zipper compartment on the side, that unzips, and a drink holder folds out. This is truly a must have for looooong hourly hikes. I constantly have a bottle filled with water. It will hold a bottle of Gatorade or Allsport. That's how generous the size is (small gatorade of course). This way you're not throwin a wet, condensating bottle inside your bag with all your electronics and other valuable delicate items.

This bag simply works great. At all times it holds my DSLR, 3 lenses, a point and shoot camera, a mini tripod, water, both battery chargers for my DSLR and my point and shoot, 2 extra batteries for my DSLR and one for my point and shoot, a computer transfer cable, extra memory card for my DSLR, lens cloth, rocket blower for dust, the rain cover (which comes with it), my four lens filters, extra lens cap, filter wrenches, and granola bars for that long hike when there is nowhere around to get food. Like I said also, the padded straps are great, the padding also, all make up for a great feeling hike for many hours without the pain of straps digging in or much of anything hurting. This backpack is very durable (as you can tell with all the stuff I haul) and I take it everywhere with me. You most definitely won't be disappointed.

Only one word of advice though. This comes with NO velcro straps, so you are going to want to buy some, so you can securely hold your camera and lenses in place. You will need the hook part, since the loop part of the velcro is already inside the bag. So you only need the hook straps.

I'll have to agree with a previous reviewer about the bag being a bit small. I have a Sony A580, and a few lenses, the largest, and heaviest being a Sigma 70-200. It just about fits, with a bit to spare. If I got, let's say the Sigma 24-70, I doubt if I'll be able to fit both the beasts in.

That said, I love, love, love this bag. I have room for my charger, external flash (which takes up an entire compartment inside the bag), batteries, cards etc. A thoughtful felt line zipper enclosure for the Sunglasses is greatly appreciated.

Did I mention I love this bag ? Very well constructed, sturdy zippers. Feels very good.

Now, if only my pictures can match the bag's beauty :)

I definitely recommend it !

Buy DAKINE Mission Photo Pack Now

Heres the deal in the world of camera luggage your options are endless. There is sling, backpack, messenger, etc. you need to figure out what style of bag that fits your lifestyle best. I have been fortunate enough to be able to use a handful of different styles and was never hooked on any till I came across this Dakine Mission Photo Backpack. This bag comes with just about anything I could ask for in the world of camera bags.

First lets talk about the overall appearance of the bag it Cool and confident; its takes queues from tradition snowboarding/skateboarding backpacks so it doesn't scream "Hey I have really expensive camera gear in here come steal me!"

The bag is made from high grade nylon and polyester. The zippers are a beefy YKK the strongest I've ever seen for a camera bag and some of the strongest in any luggage for that matter. There are chest and waist straps to help you secure the bag to yourself so you make is snug and a secure fit. The waist straps are padded which come in handy if you are wearing the bag for extended periods of time.

There are three small external pockets on the sides one is fleece lined for delicate items I put my sunglasses in there its a perfect fit. The other two are nylon lined and could be used for snacks or other smaller items. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is I saw and read in other reviews that one of those pockets is suppose to expend into a mesh lined drink holder I got the Phantom Color and Im not entirely sure if maybe its that specific color way that didn't come worth it or maybe it was previous years that offered that unique feature and this years didn't. Either way I was a little let down not having that on the bag but Ill make due I think I'll try and fabricate something to to make it capable to hold a bottle.

The tripod carrier/board carrier has a unique texture on the inside of it that creates grip for either or. It has a deployable rain cover that pulls out and covers the entire bag expect the part that resides next to your back. A nice feature because most camera bags don't come with any type of waterproofing.

The interior of the bag is a nice lime green color which I wanted a bright colored interior because dark interiors can often be hard to locate items in certain circumstances. It has a few different pockets for pens, cables, memory cards, ipods, phones, etc.

The camera block can configure to basically any way you want it set up. It only comes with two velcro dividers so If you have a camera bag already you can just pull a few out from there and put inside this one to give you a few more slots for lenses and accessories; if you don't have a camera bag already you can purchase extra dividers on eBay or Amazon for a couple bucks.

The camera block can be removed entirely to create two separate bags. I find this to be an excellent feature if you acquire new items while your are out and need a space to put them.

This bag is everything I could ask for in a camera bag without being to big and bulky. Except the water bottle holder would have been a nice feature to have. But don't let that stray you away from buying the bag. Dakine has been making great products for years and the mission photo bag is no exception to that.

When I ordered this pack I was unsure of how useful it would be, I have a good amount of equipment but not really a good travel bag. The pack itself is very good size it can hold two bodies along with a good assortment of lenses and has plenty of small pockets in the front compartment for filters, memory cards of all sizes and and other smaller pockets for chargers and such on the two outside pockets, also the outer pockets can be reached while wearing the pack. Side pouches are large enough to fit small lenses or a small bottle of water. One nice feature that I found is the inner case that holds cameras and lenses is removable and can be worn as a shoulder pack for short excursions. The design of the pack is very comfortable and lightweight. A feature that is very handy for quick access to cameras and lenses is the zipper opening right behind the shoulder straps. Construction is top quality with heavy duty zippers and sturdy buckles.

I chose this because it does not look like a photo backpack (IMO) and will be great for traveling. It would be nice to have a quick access feature, but not a deal breaker for me. Plenty of space assuming you don't need a super-telephoto but it should hold some of your longer lenses.

This bag is comfortable. I have not taken it very far yet, but the chest and waist straps help to reduce shoulder/neck strain.

Also, I ordered the black version thinking the bag would come like in the sample photos with green logos and a grey interior but to my surprise the bag came with red logos and a red interior. It matches my canon gear =).

Baggallini Luggage Drawstring Jewelry Pouch

Baggallini Luggage Drawstring Jewelry Pouch, Black, One SizeThis is a great bag for travel, the inside compartments don't let your jewelry out when the bag is cinched. And it looks great too!

I've been using the Baggalini luggage drawstring jewelry pouch for about 8 if not more years....i got the bright yellow colors. And I love it. I use it to organize all my jewelry and the pockets are perfect for ear rings and small bracelets and the middle section is more for larger pieces of jewelry or hair pieces. I've felt so safe putting all my valuables in there and being able to store it in my purse during the trip and then throw it in the hotel safe ....the quality is wonderful as it has lasted quite a while despite a lot of usage. I would firstly like to say that it is a shame Amazon don't ship directly to Australia. I have to order and have items shipped to my niece and then she has to re ship to Melbourne. When I received the product I was a little disappointed as the fabric feels very synthetic and dare I say it, cheap :( I bought these for gifts because I have one which I've had for years and find invaluable when travelling, mine is made of raw silk and is lightly bigger. The ones I purchased are a good size but I'm reluctant to give them as gifts because I feel like they look and feel cheap. Such a shame. They look much better in the photos.

Rick Steves Civita Day Pack

Rick Steves Civita Day Pack,Red,One SizeI absolutely love this day pack. It rolls up very compact and stores in a bigger piece of luggage but is always available when I need it. I've used it on bus tours where bigger back packs wouldn't fit overhead or under the seats. I'm able to put two fleece pullovers (thin LL Bean ones), a compact point n shoot camera, maps and tour book, reading glasses, tissues, sunglasses, batteries, pen/paper, sunscreen, a compact umbrella, a bottle of water, a couple of snacks, and a bottle of Purell and Aleve in it with room to spare. I love the microfiber feel, too. I'm 5'3" and found no problem with the straps being too short.

I bought the Rick Steves Convertible Carry-On about 2 1/2 years ago, loved it, and then began buying some accessories for the bag. Since I was pretty enamored with the Carry-On, I happily drank Rick Steves' Kool-Aid about what a great accessory the Civita would be. After all, as the promos said, this is Rick's personal daypack. 'Nuff said. So I bought it. And I was pretty disappointed. Its fabric was a very thin microfiber and felt flimsy. The pack itself seemed very small to me (I'm 6-1, 210 lbs), and because it was small it did not feel comfortable carrying it by one of the straps. The dual side bottle holders were nice, except that they were shallow, so bottles larger than a half liter tended to fall out. So I threw it in my closet and pretty much forgot about it for a while.

Then I began using it for trips to the community swimming pool. I could put in a couple of towels, sunscreen, an iPod, a book, and my wallet, and I found that worked well. Then I began using it for day trips. I found that it is very comfortable to carry when I used both straps, as long as it is not overloaded. I began to appreciate the organization of the bag -one big main pocket and two smaller pockets -and began using them effectively. I quit grumbling about large bottles falling out of the mesh pockets and used small bottles instead, which work fine. And finally I noticed that the fabric may be thin, but boy, is it tough and durable. This is one well-built little pack.

Now I use it a lot on the weekends, and it is my daypack on vacations and other out of town trips. With all the size and, increasingly, weight limitations on carry-on luggage on commercial aircraft these days, the minimalist nature of this bag is an asset. I am fully aware of its limitations -I would never use it on a 20 mile hike in the wilderness. But within those limitations, it is a really good, functional and useful daypack. And for $20-25, it is a great value.

The Rick Steves Civita would be an excellent Day Pack if it had adequate shoulder straps; however, the ones which came with mine would only fit a child. I don't know what Rick Steves does with his, but I simply couldn't get into mine, even with the straps at their maximum length. And I am not all that large. I am 6 feet even and weigh 225 pounds. But this thing isn't even close.

I had read the reviews and figured this pack would be small, but I didn't realize it would be quite so diminutive until I pulled it out of the box. If you're comparing in your head, this bag is nowhere near the size of a typical "school backpack". Think more of a backpack the size of one of those adidas draw-string bags that were popular a couple of years ago. The straps are short, but proportionately sized to the bag. It kind of rides high on your back, closer to your shoulder-blades than down in the small of your back.

You might feel a little silly carrying your bag up that high, but after a number of minutes spent posing in front of the mirror, I can confirm that I think I look pretty cool carrying it this way. If you desire a more jaunty, devil-may-care look, you can also throw it nicely over one shoulder. Mirror time again confirms that this is a nice look, if only it were leather I could be Indiana Jones. But I digress...

The size issues being said, I find this bag to be an excellent size for travelling. It is small enough to pack into my larger backpack (I'm a one bag, carry-on kind of international travler), and really compacts quite nicely. When you take it out for your day excursion, it also stuffs and expands nicely. The dual water bottle holders are money, and the multiple front pockets are great for tickets/passes, snacks or other various knick-knacks. The main compartment can fit a couple of jackets and gloves, or maybe a nice picnic lunch.

I should note that this bag best fits items that you can stuff or fold down into the main compartment. If you've got larger or more rigid items, you may have trouble fitting them comfortably in. My 15" laptop does not fit in the backpack at all, and I've tried fitting a decent sized text book in there and it fit, but was quite tight, and caused the bag to sit uncomfortably on my shoulders.

But as I said before, jackets, blankets, cameras, an iPad, travel pillow, things like that will fit great and make efficient use of the bags size. I would definitely recommend this to a friend, with the above caveats.

This is my second Rick Steve Day Pack; the 1st one lasted years, just needed to be changed because of some discoloration of the fabric. Now I have used this bag for 2 weeks and already the loop strings of the outside pockets are fraying and the upper handle is coming unstitched... Not the quality I expected.

Tenba Vector 637-294 Daypack - Large, Cadmium Red

Tenba Vector 637-294 Daypack - Large, Cadmium RedI purchased the green colored bag. The green is a very weird color. It is darker than what you see on the screen more olive think of a jarred green olive and you hit the color right on the head. It is not however a dark olive.

There is one more velcro partition than what is pictured in the fully loaded bag in the picture collections. In the middle where the black camera body with attached lens is place, in the supplied version there is another partition just like the ones on either side that contain the lens in the picture. The partitions are very customizable because there is a lot of velcro on the partitions which makes the partitions easy to use. A big plus for me.

One thing you can't see on the picture is that the base of the upper compartment is fit in place with velcro. It is not sewed in place. That is very good from a customization standpoint because it allows you to put a very lone item in the compartments, essentially extending from the top of the bag to the bottom. I wonder if it is a good thing for strength though it seems like the velcro is very strong and can hold nearly everything you put into the compartment, but I still wonder...

This feature of the moveable bottom of the top compartment is interesting it allows me to fit my Canon 7D with a 70-200 L series lens ( a very big lens for those who are not familiar with it), along with flash and other lenses. That is tough to do in most regular camera bags unless they are large.

The computer compartment fits my 15 inch laptop tightly not a lot of extra room in the width, especially with the zipper placement which makes the opening a bit tight.

The material seems very strong, and smooth. It is attractive to look at. The zippers seem strong. and sturdy.

There are quite a few pockets. However, what is missing are some large pockets that would fit a cell phone or wallet when I use my camera bag, I don't use my purse, and I need some pockets to accommodate my essentials. These are missing in this bag.

The padding is excellent. Firm and plenty thick. Seems very protective.

Overall:

I love that this bag is not black, is so easily customized, fits everything, seems safe for camera equipment with good quality packing.

I don't love the color (even though I am happy to have something other than black!), and I don't love the sloping front of the top compartment I wish they had squared or rounded it off so that more could be fit into the top compartment, and I wish there were some larger pockets that can fit wallets, or larger accessories.

Overall, I am happy with the bag and would recommend it. Make sure you like the colors they are a bit unusual. If you are into the earthy green/olive color, then it should work well for you.

Very nice -lightweight -fits lots of stuff -good earth friendly color --well organized taking it on a trip to Europe!! Very comfortable shoulder straps -places for eyeglasses/sunglasses and/or water bottle quick grab on the sides.

This pack is cute and extremely functional.

I have it filled with one body, three prime lenses and an iPad. It isn't large enough to hold my back-up body or any other lenses (especially a 70-200).

I have always preferred a back-pack to a bag or a cute purse and this is just as comfortable as the lowepro pack -but it's red and fun!

I love the size and color. It's comfortable to wear. The only thing I wish it had was a zipped wallet area for credit cards and some cash.

This back is very similar in design to another bag I use for carry-on on flights. But this bag is lighter in weight and doesn't stick out so much. I actually like the color of this bag, too. The olive green fits with most of my wardrobe, which is mostly nature colors of blue, brown, black and khaki.

The velcro inside is adjustable. I can carry my Canon 5DMII with a 100mm lens attached to it, a flash unit, two other lenses, and several hoods. Smaller items like batteries and memory cards go in the upper compartment.

The computer slit opens only from the top and goes only half-way down one side. While a 15-inch laptop does fit in this, it's a snug fit. I recommend this compartment be used instead for a smaller tablet and its accessories, although having them may be pinching against the back.

This is a nice day back, stylish and usable. For those just needing a camera bag for one camera and a lens or two, this makes a nice pack for all that plus other personal items needed for the day.
