It's just for a laptop and the power adapter. No room for anything else. And that's just perfect. It has an additional sleeve for your laptop so it's very well padded and protected. The handle has a little magnet in it which is a nice touch. Straps are sturdy. Plus it looks cool! Love it.
This is a great backpack, the only complaint I have is that it's a little long if you're on the short side. I'm about 5' 1" and find the backpack a little long for my back but it's fine. Besides that, it's a sturdy and good quality backpack. I used it everyday last year to carry tons of books to and from college and it still looks like new. I highly recommend this brand.

This is a hefty backpack and its quite durable, it's just not the most fitting to your back. The main pocket it really large and that males my books fit strange and for some reason it doesn't fit in my back very well. These backpacks are an amazing product for the price. I purchased two, for my husband and for me, mainly for airline travel that way these roomy packs can be in lieu of a purse or bag, and with the allowed carry-ons, we can avoid checking luggage. They are handsome and very functional. There is plenty of room for travel essentials, a change of clothes, and I include a small handbag to use once we are at our destination. The backpack costs less than a quality handbag and is way more versatile. I couldn't be happier with this product!
This is an awesome case but...it is too small. My son's netbook (WolVol 10") doesn't fit. He is just using it for other stuff. We had to buy him another case for his computer!
I had my reservations about this bag, because it doesn't look like it could handle a lot of heavy weights and abuse. However, I was desperate and bought this pack in a hurry, for the purpose of traveling for a week in Africa. I had to be a savvy packer and wanted something smallI didn't want to run the risk of leaving my luggage in the storage below the bus. I needed something with substantial room that would fit underneath my seat for my bus trips and as a carry-on. I packed this bag to the max with a week's worth of underwear, all my toiletries, bathing suit, small towel, two pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of lightweight pants, sandals, socks, and 3 short sleeve tee-shirts, some tank tops, and rain jacket. I was even able to lock the pockets with my valuables. There are many useful pockets inside for documents, ipod, and even CD pocket (which I used to store my compact digital camera). This pack traveled with me for a week in Ghana, was abused and battered and made it back in one piece. My friend was traveling with a North Face Reacon bag, and even she was impressed with how well my bag held up considering what I paid for it. I gave the pack only four stars because the mesh pockets only hold very small bottlesmy 1/2 liter water bottle fell out all the time and I ended up carrying it a lot. The mesh pockets are useful for smaller items like lip gloss, sunglasses, or sunblock. The bungee cords are useless and are only there for looks, the straps are thin and very uncomfortable if you have a heavy load, (however there is a sternum strap which did help a littlebut no waist belt). In addition, the bag was only outside for a few minutes with light rain and my contents got soaked rather quickly (cheap zippers is the cause). Luckily, I brought a small dry bag with me to keep my socks and camera dry. I recommend getting a rain cover if you plan to spending a lot of time outdoors with the pack like I did. When I came back, my boyfriend started using it immediately as a gym bag and takes it with him on the subway to work almost everyday. For that purpose it is a great bag. My macbook even fits in here perfectly with a case on. Overall, I can't knock the pack too much, it is great for the price and has held up well.

I originally bought this "Outdoor Daypack" as a backpack for school for my teenage son to use on an everyday basis during the school year last year. I had found it in the camping/outdoors section of my local Wal-mart store. Considering how much he overloads it and throws it around, I think it held up very well. When I went to purchase the same backpack for this year, I could only find it on-line. I bought it from Amazon.com and just like last year, I am very happy with it. It is much bigger & sturdier than the regular kids backpacks found in the school supply section. It would be great for camping, hiking, or for school (like we use it). I first purchased the Outdoor Products Vortex in the summer of 2006 as a last minute gear up for a trip abroad. Since then, it has been a travel bag, a school bag, an overnight bag, and a camping bag. This bag has seen me around the world. It has also seen its fair share of abuse, being stuffed into an overhard compartments, thrown under buses, filled to the brim with college textbooks, its been through it all. Stellar for a $35 pack from Walmart. I've finally retired my Vortex in winter of 2012 as the seams are coming undone due to the rigors of use, but for anyone looking for a quality bag that can take a beating for a good price, this bag will get the job done.
very well made, spacious, and attractive. The only thing I would change is making it machine washable-its recommended that it be dry cleaned, but other than that I am very pleased.
I have owned two Alps backpacks and I am buying a third. My first one lasted about 9 years of frequent use for going to school and work. It was an earlier version of this model which seems like it is no longer available. It was excellent. My current Synergy LT developed a hole in the fabric at the top of the middle pocket after only a few months, which was very disappointing. The belt buckles on both backpacks broke quickly, but were still somewhat usable. I wish they made them of something sturdier or sold spares my local fabric store does not have buckles large enough.

I have three kids, with one still in diapers. Over the past years, I've had several diaper bagsmore than I can count. When I first received this bag, I was angry that the product description doesn't tell you that the flaps all seal with Velcro. I feel the product description should tell you that. The visible buckle is there for looks only. It made the bag seem not worth the value. I almost sent it back (I hate the dirt and fuzz that gets embedded in Velcro, which is why I want to know it's in a product before I buy it), but decided to give the bag a whirl before I did.
This laptop case is great. The cool phone pocket in the front is clever and extremely useful.

This was the perfect size to use as a carry on while flying and as a back pack while touring. It isn't too big, but it holds my big Nikon camera plus a larger lens, a water bottle and a few other small items. The lock and other security features set my mind at ease while using the metro and trains in Italy.

I have the "CERT" version of this bag (green with yellow "CERT" on the long side pocket). The outer long side pocket holds 3 C-Collars (a little tight but they fit). Each of the outer pockets hold a metal water container (not designed for them but they work). They advertise they are radio pockets but are WAY too big to hold radios even public service radios.
I purchased this bag as a gift for my wife; she totes her 13-inch macbook to and from work daily. She really likes this case; it is well-made, light and it's design makes it very easy to slip the macbook in and out. Also, it has just enough extra room for a document folder. The shoulder strap is easily adjusted for height. I'd definitely recommend this case to anyone with a 13" or smaller laptop.
The STM Ranger backpack is a fantastic backpack. I have a lot of technology I bring with me on a daily basis this thing lugs all that plus all my books for class. It has a very high quality feel and look to it. The laptop case that comes with this backpack looks to be made from the same high quality materials. STM has a customer for life as long as there backpacks stay this well built.
Things that have broken: Top handle, both of the main zippers, stitching on main seam, neoprene bottle holders. This is a great bag, over engineered in every way but the assembly. I want to love this bag, but mostly, I just want it not to fall apart. I admit, I'm not easy on stuff, but for the price it should at least last through the kind of overstuffing that any college student would put it through. Booq sent me another bag for free, but it's the exact same product. It'll disintegrate soon. We'll see if they send me a third bag. Bought it from Amazon back in December 2011, received it in Jan. First major failure (zipper) was in Feb., followed by the neoprene bottle holders, handle (March) then the main seam. Maybe you'll be luckier than I was, but if you're on the fence, I'd stay away.

I love my booq bag. This thing has a spot for anything. It is comfortable to wear and holds all my gadgets that i use on a regular basis. It needs a more descriptive info sheet as there are so many pockets. I found a few pockets weeks after i started using it. I carry a sizeable laptop and charger, a tablet a phone or 2 a notebook (paper type)a few flash drives, a portable hard drive, various cables, an ipod, and a camera, or 2, along with pens pencils and sharpies there is a place for everything and many ways to organize and reorganize to fit you perfectly.
