Lots of space, significantly cheaper (at the time of purchase) than the smaller Speedo Performance bag. I don't have any complaints. I really like the two side compartments there is mesh on the sides of the bag so you can put wet stuff in them. One compartment is really long, so I put my fins/boots in it. I use the smaller compartment for my suit, though there is plenty more space for other wet stuff. Everything in the middle stays dry. The rubber bottom is a nice touch the benches in the locker room at the natatorium are always wet, so being able to put the bag down on the bench without having to wipe it down with my towel is great. Definitely worth the $27!My daughter has had this duffle for a over a year now and it's still in wonderful condition -and we've worked it hard! As a year-round swimmer, she carries it to practice 5 days a week and shoves it in a locker. She loves how it has a generous side pocket to throw her wet suit and other wet accessories in after workout. She uses a seperate bag (Speedo Mesh) for her fins, kickboard, pull bouy and paddles, so I can't comment on this duffle storing equipment, but to give you an idea of what we've stuffed it with for meets: 3 XL towels, extra suit, two suit pants, a few tshirts, cap, goggles, ipod, and shower accessories. And it zips up! I thought for sure we'd have loose stiching by now on the seams or a broken zipper but the bag looks great. The quality is what you expect from Speedo.Decent quality for the price, but watch out for the colors of the bags. What looked like a burned orange in the pictures ended up being flourecent orange in reality. Bag is just big enough to put paddle board and fins with the rest of the necessaties.Speedo Performance Medium Duffle
Dakin Girls Lark Pack
There two main compartments. Front pocket and main pocket. So space is open, but I do wish there were some smaller pockets in the main compartment.
But over all I love it!!The best computer backpack I've had, it's held up perfectly for over a year with almost everyday use across town.

This is a little bigger than I was expecting, and also basically rolls up into a ball. I wouldn't buy this again, but it's cheap and gets the job done. The many compartments are nice, but would like something smaller than laid flatter in my suitcase.Read Best Reviews of Lewis N. Clark 1592 Hanging Toiletry Kit Here
After scouring the Amazon listings for hanging toiletry cases, this looked like my best bet for my under-the-seat carry on. Let me preface by saying that I do not check baggage all of my shoes and clothing go in the 'suitcase' rolling bag that goes in the overhead bin, and everything else goes in the bag under the seat.I was looking for a bag that would hold a lot of items and would roll or fold up to be as compact as possible so as not to waste any precious space in the under-the-seat bag.
I was successfully able to fit all of my non-liquid toiletries and even my mineral cosmetics into this bag with room to spare. This was great because now I don't have to have the seperate make-up bag, just a small brush roll for makeup brushes. The only thing that made it feel more bulky when rolled up was my glasses case, which was no big deal, since it doesn't really NEED to be in there.
I especially like the clear, zippered pouch in the middle. It's perfect for cosmetics. I just wish it was detachable in some way, but that doesn't make it unmanageable.
I also love that once unfolded, every single item in the bag is clearly visible, and that the zippers are located at the top of the pouches so there is no chance for items to spill out once the bag is hanging open.
While there is no hook for hanging, there is a loop at the top that snaps together, so you can hang it from virtually anything, and if needed a coat hanger would do the trick.
This bag really freed up a lot of space for me. It's been on a couple of road trips so far, and I can't wait to take it on its first plane trip in a couple of weeks.I love how compact it becomes in a suitcase, it even fits everything I usuall take with me on a trip I am very pleased with my purchase.

Tumi Luggage Dror Messenger Bag
The laptop area holds my iPad, though loosely. I don't have a laptop, so I can't speak to how well or what size works.
The back has a smaller pocket that closes with a single magnet. I've found its useful for light paperwork. It also has a zipper along the bottom so the bag can be slid onto the expanding handlebar of rolling luggage.Exceeded expectations. Great style and craftsmanship that provides a very functional yet unique accessory. Might not be for everyone but for design minded individuals a real treat.
Incase CL55347 Alloy Campus Pack fits a 15" Apple MacBook Pro (Steel)
The profile of this backpack is very thin and slick relative to other backpacks, it is great for storage on airplanes under the seat in front of you.
I wish it had more pockets though, especially on the side for a water bottle.Looks better in person than in the pic. Roomy enough to carry all my day-to-day stuff. I would recommend this pack pack.

8 - 10 inch Flying Dragon Netbook Laptop Sleeve Slip Case Pouch Bag for Apple iPad 1 iPad 2 / most
You can barely close it but only by scraping the metal zipper along the edge of the tablet.
As other reviewers noted, the colors are off. Mine is all pink where the photo shows grey and there is barely any white.I was concerned when ordering that it might be too big for my ipad 2 but it fits it extremely well, with a slight half an inch gap at the top which fits my stylus. The material feels very silky to the touch and has a slight stretch to it which helps because I have a back cover on my ipad and it makes the fit snug. The dragon is simply gorgeous in imagery and colouring the wings are perfect! If you like dragons, you need this case!Bought this sleeve for a college student who has an ASUS tablet. Wasn't sure if it would fit, but he loves anything dragon-motif so I had to try. It was a bit tight, but worked fine and made him quite happy to secure his precious tablet inside a really gorgeous dragon. :)I love this little bag....although doesn't fit my network, oh well...using for my kindle fire instead. A little big for the fire but room for charger.

I don't usually spend this kind of money for a book bag, but I'm happy I did because I absolutely love this bag.
It is very big though. I was expecting a smaller bag, but it sags past my butt. I like it that way though (it doesn't help that I'm short).
Baggallini Luggage Brussels Bag
I read the reviews before I ordered this Baggallini bag, but decided to take a chance anyway. This was Plan A. It's nice...but the hardware overwhelms it. The turnlock is (IMHO) too large and clunky. I like the fabric, I like the color, I like the size...but I'm just not feelin' the love with these big old clasps and buckles. Even walked around the house with the bag on my shoulder, switched it to the backpack...still just couldn't embrace that hardware!
In case anyone is interested, I am trying two other convertible bags. Plan B is one made by Magellan's, the travel site, and it looks very similar in design to my beloved Eddie Bauer bag, but a tad bigger. And if that one doesn't work out...Plan C is a Mosey bag, a bit more expensive, but it gets *great* reviews.
I will post updates here as my search continues...I know there's a perfect bag out there for me somewhere!
Update 3/12: The "Plan B" bag arrived, the one by Magellan's. I guess I'm just really picky! This bag is deep and narrow, and I can just imagine peering down into the tunnel, rummaging around trying to find items. So this bag gets returned too. Just waiting on Plan C (the Mosey bag) now...
Update 3/19: My third choice (Plan C), the Mosey Convertible bag, just arrived and I love it! So if anyone else out there is looking for a cute purse that works well as a backpack, consider the Mosey Convertible. It was a bit pricier than my first two choices, but I'm very happy with it.

Great bag perfect for work as it replaces a purse and gadget bag. Lots of pockets make for great organization. Multiple handles (backpack, shoulder, crossbody) are so useful I particularly appreciate the backpack option when hands are full or while grocery shopping. This will be a great bag for vacation/traveling. May pick up a second in another color. This bag is so nice! My daughter will take it with her on an extended stay in foreign lands. We saw some of the baggalinis in retail stores, but they weren't exactly what my daughter had in mind. We could see how durable and well made they were, so we continued to look online for them and for larger ones with more pockets. Amazon has them for less money than other sites and less than in the stores. And so many to choose from!Excellent quality, roomy/organized interior and durable yet attractive fabric...I'd use this bag on a daily basis! Particularly fond of the graphite with magenta interior (makes finding things much easier than a black interior color).District Threads Canvas Field Bag
Unfortunately it's a bit small bordering on purse-ish. I'm a grad-student in the sciences and I like to work with a clipboard, if it was slightly larger so I could fit my clipboard in it would be about perfect. This was my fault for not checking the size, though. District Threads offers a field-bag that would have fit my clipboard. If you work on smaller items like moleskines then this bag will be an okay size for you. I didn't take off any stars for the size issue, just be aware.
I should note this is not a real canvas bag, it's pretty flimsy cotton and I expect it will wear through pretty fast if you subject it to much. Which kind of defeats the purpose of a canvas bag.My daughter is thrilled with her messenger bag. The dealer was excellent to work with and gave us excellent customer service.

I bought this bag 2 or 3 years ago to use as a purse. It's big enough to store tons of notebooks for school and has loads of hidden pockets for other random stuff. The compartment I use the most is actually the small zippered one on the back of it for my keys, wallet, and phone. It fades with use, of course, and it's just now getting holes in the back since I wear it everyday and it rubs against my leg. However, the back compartment has its own fabric so nothing is going to fall out through the frayed holes. The strap is quite long which I like and on me (5'6'') the top of the bag is between my waist and hip.Almost all of the compartments are zippered except the one behind the front flap which is a little piece of velcro and of course the main compartment.
The canvas fabric holds paint and sharpie doodles very well!
Now that I'm done with college I'm looking for a smaller bag to use as a purse and will definitely look into this company again.

It was a gift for a niece, she loves it. Very attractive, and comfortable to use, the only thing she complain for it's size it should hold more books that it does.Want Kipling Sausalito Discount?
Pros: incredibly attractive, durable, great (even cool-looking) wheels, and of course, I love the solid zippers on the Kiplings.Tiny Con: I wish it could hold more books! I am a commuter so I have to bring extra books to study in-between classes. It is much more taller than it is wider (check the depth 7"D). This is by no way a minus point, but I just want you to be aware of that.
Pacsafe Luggage Venturesafe 20L Adventure Day Pack
The main thing I did not like about this bag is that there are no additional inside compartments. It would be nice to have at least one or two separate pockets inside the main body of this bag. Most "normal" or "regular" backpacks have this. Without one, everything is jumbled together inside the bag (wallet, camera, hair brush, umbrella, maps, travel books, flyers, passports, chapstick, sunscreen, first-aide kit, etc.) This makes it unnecessarily difficult to find things. Another negative is that if you want to "clip" the main compartment zipper for safety, it can only be done at the bottom of one side of the pack. It would be a nice added feature to be able to clip the zipper pulls at the top center of the bag and at the other side, as well.
This back pack was smaller than I had thought (It is smaller than the average school backpack) but it is a good travel size for travel.
Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I would have liked some additional internal pockets, but it was OK as it is. This back pack was lightweight. The black color is nondescript. I recommend this bag, although there might be a better model available.I ordered and wasn't quite pleased with the 20L. It was just not right. A bit too small, no gadget pockets, flimsy webbing for bottles on the sides.
I returned the 20L and got the 25L. The 25L is physically not much bigger but has just the right amount of room for a day adventure. You will not leave much behind with the 25L compared to the 20L.
The 20L is Ok if your going on a day picnic for two. Barely. Get the 25L. Trust me.

I have owned 2 previous day packs and I think this one is a good size and solid construction for a day trip. It has padding in the back for comfort and laptop/iPod cushioning, but no interior pockets or slots in which to slip one of these devices, nor for small electronics like an MP3 or cell phone. Instead, I used a couple of ziplock bags as interior "pockets" for small items. Side slots were sturdy and held a large water bottle, large glasses case, umbrella, etc. Exterior front zipper pocket was large enough for a couple of zipper bags, cell phone, small notepad, document case, etc. The straps unhook at the bottom to allow you to attach the pack to a luggage rack on a train. When we were forced to check the pack at museums or train stations, we put the valuables we couldn't carry in this day pack, and attached a luggage lock, in hopes no one would have the energy to bother with it. I did feel like the several security features added a bit more peace of mind than an average backpack, but no pack will discourage a determined pickpocket for long, so remain on your guard. Also, due to the cushioning on the back, you will NOT be able to fold this pack under your arm like a purse, (in order to avoid checking it at museums that require you do so). However, my friend was carrying one you COULD fold, and the guards didn't seem to fall for that trick anyhow...Read Best Reviews of Pacsafe Luggage Venturesafe 20L Adventure Day Pack Here
I'm going to the olympics and I'm concerned about pick pockets and thieves. This back pack was exactly what I was looking for! This bag is the smaller version and doesn't have the main storage separated into smaller sections, so if you want something to separate thing, go with the larger bag.Update:
I came back from the olympics and a tour of Paris. There were 3 occasions in which my pack was notably tampered with when walking through crowded areas. The zipper lock prevented the bag from being opened and items from being stolen. With this bag I felt pretty comfortable walking around an not having items stolen. My friend that was traveling with was not as lucky, the bag that he had was opened when we passed through a crowded area in Paris.

I bought this pack for a trip to Quito, Ecuador, which has a high theft & pickpocketing rate. Had no problems. Now I use it regularly as a carry-all bag at home in the US. It has held up well. It's quite comfortable but would be more so if there were a waist strap--even just a small one (especially when riding my bicycle, this pack slides around a lot). It's not very big but it is sufficient for most uses.GreenSmart 16 Inch Mandrill Laptop Backpack
Belkin Slim 15" Notebook Polyester Backpack, Black/Light Gray
I just got this in the mail, and I am very excited about this backpack.
While this backpack looks simple (which is great), it really is a feature-packed backpack.
There are pockets galore of every size you could imagine.
The padding for the laptop is out of this world. Thick on both sides, while having a soft, felt liner. Great!
A removable bag that fits my power cable, mouse, flash drive and all my computer accessories, but that slides into a the bottom of the bag form-fittingly. That's really handy. (see video)
Cell phone/iPod pocket on the shoulder strap
Music pocket on the back with headphone hole.
It looks like the picture, meaning it looks REALLY cool!
This small bag can fit a lot of stuff and remain thin. It's incredible.
The only thing I wish I could do with this bag is have a sleeve for a water bottle, but that's a small thing that most don't even use.
Also, this bag IS made for 15.4" notebooks. I have a 10" netbook. The length of my computer (side-side) happens to be the same width as the sleeve, so my computer fits perfectly when I turn it. However, if you have anything in between, it won't be very form-fitting. (see video)
Comment if you have any questions about the product! I'm happy to answer :)Everyone complaining about this bag being too small should have read the reviews before buying it. Yes, it is very "slim." I'm a college student and I had a large Targus backpack before this one, and that was just too large for my everyday needs. When I got this bag I was very surprised at how light it really was. The construction is great. The straps are well padded, and the back of the bag that rests against your back is also well padded. One of the straps has an elastic pouch on it to hold small items like a pack of gum or keys or whatever. It isn't easy to see though, and it lies flush with the surface of the strap when it's not being used. As far as storage goes. I can fit my laptop (a 15.4 inch MacBook Pro), a large textbook, a spiral notebook, a regular 2-pocket folder with stuff in it, 2 portable external hard drives with their USB cables, a pack of gum, 2 pens and pencils (there are only 2 actual pencil/pen holders, but you can use other slots for more), earbuds for my mp3 player, the apple remote for my laptop, and a couple other small things in the main compartment itself. Then in the secondary compartment I have my laptop power supply, the power supply extension cord, a 6-foot firewire cable, my iPod nano, and the iPod connector cable. In the side compartment (where the thin gray section is on the front of the bag in the picture shown) I can fit an audio cable (1/8" to 1/8"), another audio cable (1/8" to RCA stereo), and probably a few more thin things like that. and all of this stuff can go in this bag without over-stuffing or bulging. So, for being such a tiny bag, it can really hold a lot. I've been using it for 1 month now and it has been great. (no zipper problems, tears, or anything. which is what i expected anyway.) so if you're like me, and you only have to carry around maybe one large textbook at a time and your laptop, this is a great bag. It looks good and it is quite comfortable. It's super light and has enough space for what I need.

pros: nice design, just right size, comfortable back and shoulder, looks very neat.cons: too many useless small inside pockets and no partition, not a good backpack for books,
overall: if you need to carry notebook and small number of other stuffs, buy it. If you need to carry notebook as well as other books and notebooks, forget it.

It fits my macbook pro 17" just perfectly, along with the power cord, the external HDD, my headphones, ethernet cable, and wireless mouse. There's also a mobile phone pocket on the front of the straps. It's extremely compact and stylish. Unlike typical backpacks, it doesn't stick out very far from your back. It's almost like it integrates with you.Unfortunately, the colour options suck, and the straps sit really stiffly on your shoulders.
UPDATE: I bought this July 20, 2008. It is now April 18, 2011, and both of the bags that I bought have completely crapped out. One of the zippers of the main compartment has snapped off, making it possible to close with only one zipper. The place where the straps attach have started to come undone. We don't mistreat the bags. Both are filled with a laptop, and cell phone, wallet, keys, etc. Possibly the charger, depending on the day, and maybe an extra battery. Mine held a 17" macbook pro, and the husband's held a 15 inch dell xps something or other. Both were used daily (or almost daily) for about an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening (which is roughly the amount of time we'd commute to and from work).
