Olympia Luggage Sports Plus 22 Inch 8 Pocket Rolling Duffel Bag
Other than that, I love all the pockets & it's very roomy inside. It rolls easily too.
Oh, FYI, it does have a California Prop 65 warning about containing chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, etc. Those are probably the chemicals I'm smelling! This bag exceeded my expectations. It is sturdy, roomy, easy to handle and fits perfectly in the plane overhead bin. Very happy with this purchase.

I am a student in a one year LPN program. There are a ton of books to bring to class every day, not to mention, binders, pens, flashcards, a laptop, and whatever else you need for class. This bag is the perfect size for my classes. While all my fellow students are bringing in two to three bags a day, I keep all my stuff in this one bag. I LOVE IT!!Read Best Reviews of Olympia Luggage Sports Plus 22 Inch 8 Pocket Rolling Duffel Bag Here
I am a full-time student. I take public transportation to school and the bag was in full use 5 days a week. Purchased in November, the wheels were cracked by February, and one of the wheels completely fell apart just 3 days ago (March 13), so I can't use it anymore (the bag's wheels died after only 4 months :( ).Also, it would be helpful if the bottom had a plastic or otherwise hard bottom because from wheeling it regularly, the fabric on the bottom gets ripped when you are pulling the bag up curbs or stairs. As soon as I can find my warranty paperwork, I will contact the mfr about replacement. Will update to advise if I experienced problems.

It works. It's a cheap duffel, so you get what you pay for. I use it for work as a carry-on for 4-5 day trips. It doesn't usually fit in the overhead (on regional flights) but I check it at the gate and it's fine. Shows a lot of wear and tear, got dirty easily. No rips or broken zippers yet after 8-10 trips so that's a plus. It does fit a pretty good amount of stuff, the little bags on the sides help a lot with the extras (chargers and etc).Nintendo Super Mario Bros. Large 15" Backpack

Bought ths for my son for Christmas and he was thrilled. When I ordered it I had no idea that the picture was sparkly but when I opened the box it was like getting a bonus. This was a well priced item that my son loves. I would recommend this product.Kelty Redstart 26 Daypack
The bag is exceptionally well-designed with very high construction quality, like most Kelty products. There is a surprisingly well-designed flat plastic frame inside the bag, behind the backpanel that serves as a light frame and keeps the bag in shape. It has a second, bonus usage: there is a wide, flat pocket inside the main compartment that lays flat against the plastic frame sheet in which you can put documents/folders. Because they are laying flat against the frame, your documents/folders will not bend, even if you stuff your main compartment with other items. The inside organizer pocket near the top of the inside flap is great, and there is a zip compartment behind it for a few other loose items, as well. The side mesh pockets are very, very useful: easy to reach around and put stuff in there and take stuff out, but have just enough retention at the opening so that stuff never falls out.
I really like the design of the main compartment opening, too, but with a caveat. With the small, quasi-top-loading zipper area and the straps that clip over the main zipper, you feel pretty secure. No one is going to try to open it while you're in public; it would be too difficult, and you'd definitely catch them. But there is a drawback to that, too. If it is that difficult for thieves to get into the main compartment... well, then logic dictates that it will also be difficult for you to get into the main compartment. It is a little bit of a pain to unclip the two straps, unzip the quasi-top-loading main compartment, and reach down there for stuff. If you are constantly taking your bag off, opening the main compartment, and taking major items out, this bag might be too much of a hassle.
All in all, great bag. If you wear the bag with both shoulder straps connected and don't need to access the main compartment every five minutes, you will appreciate this bag's excellent, secure, comfortable design. If you wear your backpack slung over one shoulder, aren't terribly concerned with someone trying to open it on a train or something, and are constantly getting stuff out of the main compartment, this is not the bag for you.
*UPDATE 10-OCT-2012*
Well, I spent more time looking at this bag and thinking about it, and I can really see how this was designed as a hiking daypack. That's really what it is. It's not a bookbag or a schoolbag, actually, and so I can't dock any stars for that since it isn't designed for that. In fact, Kelty even specifically calls it a daypack. Now then, I use mine as a bookbag, and I like it a lot for it's excellent ergonomics, high construction quality, and fantastic design. But my above caveats stand:
1. an excellent daypack
2. a so-so backpack
3. a meh school/bookbagI bought this for single day hikes and it is perfect for me. I think it would be a bit light to load it up for multiple day hikes but as the "Daypack" name suggests, it's great for a 4-8 hour hike.
Pros:
Lightweight
Durable
Very comfortable straps that are easy to adjust
Water bottle holders on each side
Cons:
The torso buckle looked a little flimsy but it has held up well so far
Both the Mrs. and I wore it and despite our vastly different frame sizes found it comfortable.

I bought this backpack because on the thumbnail, it seemed like the backpack consisted of charcoalbrownbrownish colors, but thats not the case. The backpack is entirely charcoal colored, which is a bummer. Other than that, the backpack seems solid and I anticipate that it will last a vast amount of time! Inside the bag, there's enough compartments to keep your tools/school supplies organize. The straps on the backpack are uncomfortable when wearing a tank top or something similar. Also, you can probably fit a 15 inch laptop for i can fit my 13-inch macbook pro and there is still a little room left. Overall, great backpack for any situation out there; traveling, school, camping, etc.I bought this Redstart to replace a kelty daypack i've owned for 18 years. Not because the old one is broken, but because I wanted a slightly larger daypack. If that doesn't say something about Kelty quality, I don't know what does.I go on occasional day hikes, but I primarily use the pack for bike commuting to college. It's much more spacious that it seems, I can always fit all my books, computer, and an extra set of clothes or a jacket. My only complaint is that it's difficult to see the bottom of the bag because the top opening is very small. If the zipper was longer, I think it would make the pack more functional without compromising its function.Thule EnRoute Escort Daypack for 17-Inch MacBook Pro and 10-Inch Tablets - Black (TEED-117)
This particular back pack is built for a 17 inch MacBook Pro/10 Inch tablets. I have an older HP Pavillion that fits just fine, along with an iPad and Kindle-all these (and more) fit fine in this bag. Not to mention there is plenty of room for all the "extras" people take with them. I use this bag for commuting to and from work and errands; I use it for a few extra books, chargers, water bottles, phone, sunglasses, sun block, and lunch. The pack holds all this and there is plenty of room for more.
The pack itself is heavy nylon; it feels thick, not a cheap thin material that might be more apt to wear holes in the bottom or sides. The metal zippers and straps are heavy metal, not plastic where there might be a higher chance of breakage. The back of the pack that is against your back is padded, so even if you are hauling a heavy load, you have less chance of something poking you in the back when you shift. The pack also has stabilizer straps to keep the pack in place. I personally do not use them, but I know my kids find these can be helpful when biking or carrying heavy loads. The best part of the pack is the "Safe Zone" located at the top front of the pack. It is perfect for a phone, sunglasses or camera because it is made with a hard outer shell that keeps items inside from getting smashed. I love that they thought of this AND it works perfect and is easy to get too.
Whether this is the exact "design" you are looking for, keep Thule in mind, I have yet to have a problem with their products. I know I sound like a salesman, but the products truly are quality. I have not had to call customer service or file any sort of complaint with the company. So I cannot report on how well their customer service is at this company. Hopefully, I never will need to call them! This is the perfect commuter daypack for busy people who need to have a 15" laptop/ notebook with them. The outer cover against the back is well-padded, providing a laptop protection from drops, hits or whatnot. A center compartment can carry the cords and other accessories, and a third outer compartment can carry smaller stuff like cellphone/charger, sunglasses and other business-related stuff. A "Safe Zone" on the outer side is for fragile or smaller items and is nicely padded against slams, drops or hard hits in that area.
When this pack is fully loaded it spreads out nicely but does not hamper movement, as the sides to this pack are narrow.
The pack is, as shown, all black with some blue zipper covers. Empty this pack weighs 2.4 pounds, so that alone should limit the use to urban commuting with electronics. This would not be a good gym bag as none of the compartments are large for bulky items, nor would this be an ideal backpack for day hikes for the same reason because most of the padding is centered against the back to protect a laptop. I also would not recommend this as a carry-on for the same reasons already stated unless you are a minimalist. The best use for this pack is for the office person or commuter.
Compression straps on the side help keep the load streamlined. There is one small mesh pouch on either side of the pack for 16-ounce water bottles.
The color is basic black, which is ideal for business environments.

As far as the construction goes, this backpack seems quite sturdy. It has adjustable chest and hip straps for stability. it also has front to back straps to compress the volume if the pack is not full. The sections that are padded are quite sturdy, and there are loads of pockets. A semi-hard pocket is on the outside for easy accessibility of sunglasses or a small electronic device.Unfortunately, the chest strap will not go high enough to avoid pinching a female chest, and the straps over the shoulders are way too broad for me. Also the shoulder straps are too long for my shorter torso and cannot be adjusted to fit, even at the tightest adjustment.
This would probably be a great pack for a gentleman carrying an ipad or laptop, but it just didn't work for my short torso and fuller figured frame. I would highly recommend this backpack to anyone who needs to transport laptops or electronic equipment. The construction is such that it is excellent quality and padded to protect. The storage is not the typical that would be found in a regular backpack, but is laid out for electronics. Enjoy!I was really expecting so much from this backpack. Having owned lots of Thule products for my vehicles, I assumed their backpack would be made to the same high level of quality. I was very wrong.
I have owned other cheaper backpacks by Swiss Gear, Targus, and Samsonite which all looked and felt much better. This feels about the same quality as a cheapo Jansport backpack with a little extra padding. Except for the inadequate padding in the bottom of the backpack. I cringed when setting it on the ground as I could feel my laptops smashing onto the surface.
The material which this backpack is made is thin and I question its durability. Think $10 backpack at the local walmart and that's about the quality of this backpack.
The straps are barely padded and the handle is just about the same.
Zippers, while metal, do not open and close smoothly. Upon first opening the backpack, some of the material was already caught in the zipper and took a few minutes to rectify.
Buckles, Buckles, and more buckles to go with the numerous straps.
Not very roomy but will accomodate a 15" rMBP and 15" monster HP laptop at the same time. But not much else!
Packed up and on its way back to Amazon.
Incase CL55347 Alloy Campus Pack fits a 15" Apple MacBook Pro (Steel)
The profile of this backpack is very thin and slick relative to other backpacks, it is great for storage on airplanes under the seat in front of you.
I wish it had more pockets though, especially on the side for a water bottle.Looks better in person than in the pic. Roomy enough to carry all my day-to-day stuff. I would recommend this pack pack.

Microsoft Edge Messenger Bag for 17.3" Laptops (Orange Trim)
In the short time I had this bag though I was impressed by the materials used to construct it. It feels very well made and despite my not being able to keep the bag I was confident that this messenger bag was up to the task of everyday use. The handle, strap and zippers felt sturdy and well attached. The inner cushioning is substantial and I felt that my laptop would survive bumps and drops inside this bag.
Looks wise what attracted me most to this bag was that it doesn't look too professional or too much like a grungy student laptop bag. The styling is nicely in-between and I would feel appropriate carting this bag into my workplace in a suit or in more casual environments.
One of my favorite features of this bag is the orange lining. The entire inner compartment of this bag is lined in orange making finding cords, jump drives, pens or anything else a cinch. For anyone who's owned a black-on-black laptop bag and struggled to find dark colored peripherals inside their bag this will be a nice feature.
I'm a bit disappointed that I won't be able to use this bag but otherwise would recommend it to anyone with a compatible laptop.

I ordered this bag because of a co-worker's positive remarks. This is one of the few options available for a 17" laptop. Travel out of the country made this bag extremely useful. Easy to carry, lots of compartments to store cables, external hard drives, and cd's. Places for business cards, personal cards and supplies, as well as travel documents. It's a really nice bag, but online it said it was for a 17.3 inch screen. I just bought a new Toshiba 17.3 inch screen laptop and it doesn't fit!! The tag on the bag says it fits "most 17 inch screens", so I think online it was kind of deceiving. Then there's another tag on the same bag that says the device should be 15.5 inches. I don't understand why this has become so confusing for the customer!Want Microsoft Edge Messenger Bag for 17.3" Laptops (Orange Trim) Discount?

13.3 inch Crimson Red Progressive Circlet Netbook Notebook Laptop Sleeve Bag Carrying Case for Appl
The only issue I have, and its a small one, is that when open and I amusing my laptop, the case is a bit big, but fits perfectly when closed.
I would recommend this laprop sleeve to anyone.Just received it today and I'm not terribly excited. It fits my Sony VAIO very snugly which makes it tough to get it on the laptop. Thankfully it stretches or it would not fit at all. There is minimal padding so there's very little actual impact protection and it has a very strong chemical smell. In short, I got what I paid for. Wish I had gone with something more expensive lesson learned. The sleeve looks exactly like it is in the picture, and I'm very pleased with the design. Protection-wise, the sleeve is rather thin and won't provide the same amount of protection as thicker sleeves. This was not a problem for me as I already have a speck case over my macbook (yes this sleeve will fit over a 13" macbook with a speck case on, though it will take a slight amount of effort to zip it in). Overall, I would recommend this sleeve to those who either have a case over their laptop, plan to put their laptop in a padded backpack/laptop bag, or don't tend to drop their laptop onto hard surfaces.Pretty laptop sleeve that fits my macbook air very well. This is one of the best laptop cases I've ever had!
Kelty Minnow Backpack
The pack is well made, more so than a "toy" backpack, and the bright orange color (nearly "safety" orange) is easy to spot and appealing to a youngster.
Well made, well sized, good quality and a fair price. Not much more to ask for. It's small enough for my son to wear but large enough for his blanket, lunch, sunscreen, etc. The side pouches are great to stick things in when in a rush. This was exactly what I was looking for.THIS IS A VERY NICE OPTION IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BACKPACK THAT FITS A TODDLER. HIS ARMS FIT VERY WELL AND HE CAN WALK WITHOUT PROBLEMS WHILE CARRYING IT.We bought this backpack for a trip cross country on a plane. It was the perfect size for a carry on to hold a couple diapers, wipes, snacks, and some toys for my son. Small enough for a child to carry but large enough to do what we needed it to. In the picture it looks red but its actually basketball orange.

Military Inspired Canvas Crossbody Messenger Bag Shoulder Bag Laptop Case Backpack Brown
After several weeks of use, I dig it! The canvas stitching is pretty rugged and the strap is anchored well. This bag looks like it was stitched together to hold a hefty load. The strap is wide enough and the bag is a good size that is rests well along the hip or lower without the annoying off center feeling you can experience with some messenger bags.
Under the flap are two basic pockets. They are pretty deep and can accommodate quite a few pens/pencils/dice/cards/whatever you wish to toss in there. There are two side pockets, one open and one zip. Good use of space, but the pockets are pretty tight, so don't expect to jam much more than, say, an tablet/cell charger in the side. The zipper pocket seems good to just carry some loose change or paper bills. Inside the flap, the main pocket has a zipper which is a nice touch. You have your main pouch which seems much bigger than the bag does. The laptop pouch of the pocket can hold a pretty hefty sized laptop. If you carry a tablet in the laptop pocket, you will have quite a bit of extra space for it to rock around since the Velcro strap is a good 3-4 inches long. However, it is padded if only a bit.
The only major gripe with the bag is the clips that hold the flap down to the main bag. They a pretty stiff and it can make it hard to get hooked onto the grommets. I hope after using the bag the clips will ease up a bit.
Definitely a good looking and well functioning messenger bag over all.

Thanks to financial aid from my college, I was able to get a new laptop. Spending $500 on a nice system for a Computer Science student, I decided spending a bit on a nice padded messenger bag to replace my old, dated bag would be a wise investment. So I looked around for padded laptop bags, and came across this one. The reviews on it were quite mixed, but in my experiences, it's quite a nice bag. It's large enough to hold my 15 inch laptop, a binder, and a textbook. I'm sure it'll fit a 16 inch laptop too, but 17 inches MAY be pushing it. The main compartment has a somewhat cheapy zipper that works alright. There's also two little pockets that you can use to store a graphing calculator, power brick, wireless mouse, microfiber cloth, whatever you really need that isn't too big.
The water bottle holder holds a standard 16.9 fl oz bottle just fine, but I'm always afraid that the bottle might fall out. It's not in there well enough it seems. Oh well though, I hardly bring water with me anyway. If you have a pretty big water bottle, take heed that it may not fit in the little compartment.
The biggest problem I have with the bag is the clasps. They're stiff, and they take a bit of effort to close. The bag doesn't really NEED to close them, but I feel it's required to complete the look. They go in fine, but it just takes a bit of needless effort.
EDIT 1 October 22nd, 2012 -After one day (read that again -ONE DAY) of normal usage the zipper came off. The zipper head puller thing came loose when I was zipping my items away. I wasn't too happy. I managed to get the zipper working again, and I'm going to have to apply a little DIY magic to add another zipper stopper. I ended up paying $40 for the bag, so I'm not too happy that I have to, but oh well. Please do note the poor quality of the zipper if you decide to purchase the bag, and be careful on it. But if the zipper puller comes off it can be reattached. It took maybe ten minutes.
EDIT 2 January 18th, 2013 -I'm surprised the bag is still together. The stitching done on the bag is abysmal. The stitching on the bottom of the bag started to come loose. One of the pockets began to lose the stitching inside of it. I used a glue gun to fix the bottom issue, but the pocket remains a problem.
Do not buy this bag if you are someone who wants their stuff to last. This bag looks exactly like what is pictured. Perfect messenger bag size, very durable canvas, roomy interior with a padded smaller section for iPad/netbook, etc... The clasps in the front are a bit stiff, tough to open/close, but maybe with use they will become easier. Would've liked a back pocket to be able to stash something quickly without opening the cumbersome front. Seems like it will hold up well, especially since it is supposed to have that distressed look and feel. Overall nice bag.Was excited to get my bag. Got shipped to my house surprisingly quick and started using it the following day. The following day the zipper had already broken and was tearing out of the bag.

As a self-described pack junkie, I've bought and worn too many packs to count. Most I end up giving away after a few rides because they remind me constantly that I am wearing them. I've purchased four of these Flink equipped packs so far, and keep scouring the web for those still left on the shelves. These Flink packs are the most comfortable and best carrying packs I've ever ridden with. It will be a sad day when they disappear completely. I'm stocking up for that eventuality.
If there is a drawback to these packs is is that the hip belt/semi-rigid frame configuration is bulky when trying to pack a car for a trip. It doesn't fit nicely into those nooks and crannies into which other packs disappear. I put a premium on how the pack feels when I'm wearing it, so its bulk when packing the car doesn't even figure into the equation.
