Skooba Design Cable Stable DLX
I've loaded up this case with all the pieces and parts for almost any disasterI've got a 32gb thumbdrive with my backed up presentations, a mouse, my Apple adcvga adapter, usb cable, firewire cable, firewire adapter, an optical mouse, mini to mini cable for sound, spare batteries for my wireless presenter clicker, etc. All these things that used to rattle around my bag.
It keeps them all in placeand accessible. Considering my new "bum bum bag" doesn't have as many internal dividers as my old bagthis has been a godsend. Yes, I balked at the priceit's probably only worth $20-$25 which is why it's getting 4 instead of 5 starsbut, it seems well built and for me it's been worth it.
Going through airport checkpoints should be much easier nownever mind being able to find my stuff when I need it.My wife says I have a problem but I like to be organized. It's important to me to have what I need easily within reach as I travel a lot and the convenience of a product like this easily pays for itself. I bought the large case because I wanted to house all of my cables and accessories. I'm using it to hold a travel surge protector, laptop charger, iPad A/V cable, 3.5mm audio cable, solar USB charger, USB drive, iPhone sync cable, Jambox charging cable, Apple Magic Mouse, iPad charger, camera, Macbook VGA adaptor and the charger for my myfi card. Easily fits into the front compartment of my backpack.

This organizer has changed my life. I bought the Skooba R750-300 Cable Stable DLX (Black) and soon had it filled with cords and chargers for my smart phone, my mp3 players, my computer and my Kindle. It's a little pricey, but well worth it because of the internal features like elastic holders and zippered pockets and it closes up into a nice little package with its own handle that will slide down in a briefcase or carry-on. If you're considering this one, take a look at Skooba Cable Stable Combo Pack (750-350) to get both sizes. I recently bought the Skooba Cable Stable Mini (750-250) and broke out into more than one organizer because I had stuffed this one to the gills. I use them all the time-the DLX for my phone, computer, and Kindle DX; the Skooba mini for my MP3 players; and I bought the AmazonBasics Universal Travel Case for Small Electronics and Accessories (Black) to use with my Kindle Fire. With all three, I now have dedicated "clutter fixers" for all my small electronics and when I travel, I can simply unzip and send them through the TSA screener with my laptop! Highly recommended for those who, like me, have too many cords and not enough time.I purchased this product since I have numerous cords and plugs related to computers, phones, and tablets. This cleaned up the clutter. I probably could use a second on. I do not use it for travel. I like that it cleaned up the mess at home and keeps everything organized.Great concept but poorly executed by Skooba. "Cheezy" zippers and the feel of "cheap" quality. I doubt this will hold up to rugged "road warrior" use. Size is about right, but as an example of poor design.. the zippered mesh pocket can't even accommodate one of the small wall power transformers and still be zipped up. They left no "stretch" or "elastic" stretch space and still have the zipper work. If this were superior quality material, zippers, stitching, elastic, design etc, I'd pay $30+ for it. But as it is, It's not worth more than $12-$15. Maybe they'll improve it with time and listening to feedback. Like I said, great concept with all the chargers, cables, and electronic devices (memory cards, SIM cards, camera's, phone, ipod's, etc. etc. etc.)in use today, but this falls short of being a real quality product at reasonable price.17 SHUTTLE - BLACK
This is not a big deal as the 17 Shuttle 2.0's interior is nicely finished with soft fabric. Actually, pulling the case's top slightly towards you as you lower it over the laptop allows the case to close without even touching the laptop.
This 'rubbing' is certainly not a deal breaker and if I hadn't already known about the specs (according to the specs, the XPS 17 is 1/10" wider than the interior of the 17 Shuttle 2.0) it never would have occurred to me to think the case might be too small for the Dell XPS 17. In fact, if anything this creates a safer and snugger fit for my laptop.
Speaking of this case, it is an excellent case! It is well-built, extremely functional and looks great. I've noticed that while waiting for class with laptop in hand I get a lot of looks from classmates. I think the "portrait" orientation of the case, which is a little unusual, might be partially responsible for this, but it's also a very nice looking case! I opted for the Basic Black, a bit traditional but it's a very nice looking case. I have to admit the pink DID appeal to me and I am secure enough in my manhood to carry pink, but my daughter 'Pinky' would no doubt have nicked the case within a week.
The 17 Shuttle 2.0 has an excellent design and makes using a laptop on the go an easy and enjoyable experience.
When you're ready to work, it's a simple process: you set the case down, grab the two zippers and run them around to the back of the case, open the lid, and you're ready to go! The laptop never has to leave the case!
On the inside of the case are four orange, rubber pedestals that raise the laptop up so air can flow and heat can dissipate. They are 1/4 inch thick, look nicely high-tech (not that you'll ever see them) and have velcro on the bottom so they can be repositioned across the case.
I'm ambivalent about these feet: when I sit with my laptop on my lap, I can feel warmth on my legs (which feels pretty darned good on a cold day). On the other hand, I've never tested the case with the feet removed, so perhaps it is cooling my laptop and I just don't know it. At any rate, they can't hurt and you can always remove them if you want.
As stated earlier, the inside of the case is nicely finished. There is a band inside the case lid, approximately 1" wide, that feels like it might be aluminum, that runs around the inside of the perimeter of the lid. This is what protects the edges of your laptop when the lid is closed and it feels very sturdy and secure.
There is a nylon strap on either side of the case that keeps the lid from opening farther than 90 degrees. This is a very nice feature as it keeps the lid from opening too far and actually gives your screen a little privacy. They only problem I have with them is they block my USB ports on the sides of my laptop (at the back corners.) When plugging in my drive I have to pull the strap out of the way, no big deal.
On the outside of the case are two pouches. One is zippered and is large enough to carry my charging brick, with power cords, and a cordless mouse (I chose the Logitech G700.) To save on space and make things easier, I bought a retractable power cord that is really nice (Zip-Linq, $12 or so at Frys).
The other pouch is for 8.5 x 11 inch documents and secures with a mere 1.5" of velcro, enough to keep your full-size papers secure, but I don't think I'd carry anything small or valuable (like your paycheck.) It's perfect for syllabi, handouts and other crap that you wouldn't really fret about losing, although I think it unlikely that would happen anyway.
Finally, there is a very sturdy handle that has a thick rubber grip that you will really appreciate when you are standing in line for 20 minutes waiting for class, the subway, etc. The handle is black with a the orange Higher Ground logo on the side. It would look really snazzy if the whole thing was orange (Hint, hint.)
All in all this is an AWESOME case and I would give it 10 stars if I could. It's a very well-made product and I couldn't be happier.
Well, I could be happier and this is where I will make suggestions for the future:
1. Someone else mentioned adding brightly colored pulls to the zipper tabs on the case. This is an EXCELLENT idea as it would allow you to quickly see that your case is indeed zipped shut so you don't accidentally pick it up and dump $2,000 of laptop on the floor (*GASP*)!
2. A second (colored) pull on the accessory compartment would be VERY nice.
3. It would most excellent to have a slit on each side of the accessory compartment that would allow you to permanently feed your charging cord into the "cargo bay" so you wouldn't have to pull the cord out of the accessory compartment, around the edge of the case and to the back of your laptop.
It's kind of a PITA to do this and, let's face it, looks sloppy and this case deserves better!
I've been contemplating doing it myself and now that I've had the case for a few months I may give it a try.
Anyway, if you want a truly boffo case that looks awesome and does an even more-awesome job of transporting and protecting your laptop, GET THIS ONE!I took several days looking and evaluating different computer bags for my new MacBook Pro 17". I had specific needs in mind, not too big, not too small and enough room to tuck in the elec. cord and a few flash drives. I am really glad I chose this bag. It's really well constructed, perfect size, great color and also has a clip on handle in case I want to sling it over my shoulder. I really like how I can use it while traveling like a small desk. Very cool product and I highly recommend it.After going between a heavier Hartmann laptop bag and a Victorinox backpack, I have really gotten to prefer this lightweight Shuttle. I purchased the mesh backpack straps and love carrying as a backpack. It is so light that I don't feel like a pack mule. This simple bag holds the basics, does not let me over-stuff it with extraneous items, and is great for taking through security at the airport. The slim and un-bulky form factor that allows me to use the laptop while still in the bag on my tray table also makes airport security checks much easier.I have a 17.3" HP laptop and this case works great for it. I called company before ordering just to make sure my particular laptop would fit and the girl assured me right a way that it would and was very very pleasant. This case is not only pretty but extremely well made and I would most assuredly recommend it.

This is a pretty good backpack for the price. The quality isn't the greatest, but it does the job and has two pockets in the front and a water bottle holder on the side. If you use a backpack a lot, then I'd recommend getting a higher quality one. But if you just need something simple and don't want to pay a ton for Jansport backpack, then definitely get this one.Read Best Reviews of Everest Luggage Classic Backpack Here
It's smaller then i thought it would be, but it still suits my needs. I can fit at least 5 large textbooks in the large compartment with no problem and still have a little room left. The medium and small compartments are also adequate.Adjusting the straps is easy and the straps themselves are comfortable on the shoulders. This is a backpack. It features a large pouch, a medium pouch, and a small pouch for accessories or snacks. Also has zippers. My backpack has been a good backpack, making sure my personal items are secure. However, I am also slightly upset at my backpack, as the zipper is separating at the seams after just a few months. I feel like I should be grateful toward this backpack, as it has performed its job for a very low price, but I don't feel that it can be fully trusted. I am ambivalent toward this backpack, hence the 3 star rating.

I've wanted a Petunia Pickle Bottom baby bag since I heard about them 8 years ago. I have a laptop bag that has the look of a Petunia Pickle bottom (i.e. a nice, jacquard damask fabric look) and someone commented 8 years ago asking if it was a Petunia Pickle Bottom--which it was not. I looked up what she was talking about, and saw awesome baby bags that looked like my laptop bag which I got complimented on all of the time. I decided that when I finally was having a baby, I needed this bag! I got it, I love it and its awesome. :)Read Best Reviews of Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack in Lake Como Roll Here

Love the hands-free messenger style of this bag. The colors and pattern are unique and stylish. I've received several compliments on it. Lots of room, a hook for your keys, pockets for all of your things. Option to wear it as a backpack is cool. The attached fold-out changing pad is great! It comes in handy when using the cold, hard changing tables in public restrooms. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the velcro; it's really loud when pulling it open, and it startles my baby awake if I'm not extra careful. Other than that, it's perfect! My daughter loves this bag! The movie is one of her favorites and I was excited to find the bookbag. It is a good size, however, it is too small for a high schooler to use. My kids don't have lockers at school & it's not big enough to carry all of her books all the time. That said, she is an anime artist & uses it to cache her artwork & supplies. She's had it for three months & it's holding up fine. No regrets.Want The Nightmare Before Christmas Large Backpack Discount?

I was disappointed when I received this back pack. It is a lot smaller than I thought it would be and would not be enough to hold all of my items. I take a bus to work in the morning and walk two blocks to get to my building. I need something that will hold my laptop, my lunch, and other items. This back pack does not have the sufficient space. It also does not have a separate pocket for a laptop, as I have seen in just about every other back pack throughout the years. Basically if you only carry a laptop in this specific back pack it will not be secured, which in turn will obviously not work out too well for your computer! Even my elementary school kids' back packs have this feature and I paid a lot less for theirs. I figured paying a little extra might get me a little quality, but my kids' back packs are far superior to this one... Being that this is listed as a "Laptop Backpack", I was a little surprised...
I don't think I've ever returned anything I have purchased from Amazon, but five minutes after I examined it I immediately submitted my return request.

Victorinox Luggage Architecture 3.0 Big Ben Mono Retrax Backpack
This bag is so near to a perfect idea...
BUT (yes, yes, there had to be one... 2 actually)
1) While the curve on the handle server a great purpose, it seems that accomodating that curve in the rear-most compartment (where the computer accomodations are) resulted in some not-so-great compromises: Very cramped when inserting, strapping down and removing the computer a process I have to go through 3-5 times a day. There is no termination on the strap (other than the velcro) to grab on to, and you have to squeeze between the computer and the handle-housing in order to affix the velcro. The computer also catches on the handle housing on the way down, and the top corners of the computer (15" Lenovo) are juuuuuust inside the fabric of the bag not as protected as I would like.
2) no water bottle holders on the side... you don't realize how much you use 'em until you don't have 'em!
Other than these 2 points, it is an awesome bag. It is still "good", but I will continue in my quest to find "great".
russThis bag is simply awesome! I researched far & wide over 6 months for a bag that suited my needs (I ride a motorbike, work with laptops, & travel with all my puter gear). So my criteria was a proper backpack that I can ride with, that can carry 2 x 17" laptops plus all my puter gear, carry my clothes etc, & not have to carry it through airports. After much research I found the Victorinox Architecture 3.0 Big Ben Mono Retrax is the ONLY bag on market that fully meets this criteria. But to my benefit it exceeds my expectations because it has many more pockets than I expected, it has a handle that locks in 2 height positions that when extended/retracted also extends/retracts the wheels, can be used as carry-on (as a laptop bag), is extremely well padded & consructed, secures away the straps, handle & wheels when not in use, & has its own lost bag tracking system. All I needed to do was find the best price for it & Amazon did that by being half the price of the retail outlets I looked at in several countries. Bonus! I am so happy I bought this bag, & so happy I got it from Amazon.
I also got the STM laptop glove sleeves to protect the laptops when I remove them through security, & they fit like a dream so it all works well.
For the previous post I saw here that had trouble with the handle, I wonder if they realised the handle automatically extends & retracts the wheels, & that the handle has 2 locking positions? I have no trouble with my handle.

I bought this 3 days ago after searching time and again for a rolling backpack that had plenty organization compartments. This is a winner in that aspect, and the way the wheels hide when the arm is not extended is brilliant.Although I can point that it is missing a bottle holder on the side, and the laptop compartment was not though for a heavy laptop. My Lenovo w510 with extra battery becomes so heavy that seams to put strain on the zipper, and makes the back compartment almost unusable to store any other things like even a 2,5'' external disk.
And last, and most important, after 3h of normal use, the handle came loose on its axis, and is not working properly while opening and closing. This is NOT what I was expecting in terms of the known durability that Victorinox name carries.
The site is not clear on how to activate warranty outside US or Canada.

First, it's a Victorinox, and that says A LOT!Second, there is an incredible amount of room to put things in.
I have a 17inch laptop and it fits. There's plenty of room for other necessities like power cables, USB cables, biz cards, in-flight reading materials, presentation folders and much much more room. It's easy to access the compartments also.
When the handle collapses the entire backpack fits very nicely, and easily, into the overhead storage on airplanes though I will admit that I have not taken it on a smaller turbo-prop flight yet to test it in those much smaller overhead storage bins.
I'm 6'5" and luggage handles have always been a problem I'm always hitting my heels on the luggage as it rolls along with me but not with this one. The handle is long enough and it's curved very easy to keep my feet away from the backpack. Very easy to maneuver about. Also, the collapsible wheels are great when you're rolling along in an airport and need to use the restroom. I collapse the handle and the wheels collapse up also. That keeps the back of my shirt or jacket from getting that nasty airport carpet "stuff" all over my back.
The only drawback is the shoulder straps. You have to pull them out and then "click" them together with snaps towards the bottom of the bag. Just kind a minor pain to do, but it's also nice in that the shoulder straps are not in your way if you choose to roll this backpack.
High quality stitching and overall very well made.
Plan on getting countless miles out of this!

Bought this because of the retractable wheels.Pro's:
1. Retractable system works good.
2. Straps can be hidden which is good as you will not be dragging them on the ground.
3. Good construction
Cons:
1. Retractable system is heavy.
2. When wheels are drawn, the backpack falls forward.
3. Does not fit in small regional gets, with two laptops (Had no problem with two laptops with Tumi)
The leather handel cracked and happened after the return policy ended. Would not recommend.
