Lowepro LP36434-PWW Photo Hatchback 22L AW (Slate Grey)
So, what do I think of the Lowepro Hatchback 22L? I love it. I wasn't sure if it was going to big enough for my D90 with 24-70mm and the grip attached. No worries, the camera fits great and there is room for my 50mm and 10-20mm, plus a little extra room and that's just in the camera section.I've tried several different packs but this one fits the bill, perfect for a day/weekend adventure. The hatchback is flexible and offers many things I was looking for in a day pack. Also, I was pleasantly surprised with how much stuff you can pack in this thing. I was blown away as I inspected the pack for the first time, I kept finding pouches and I really liked all the Velcro options this pack offers.
It also has a capable suspension system with comfortable shoulder straps, a sliding chest strap and a 1″ waistbelt, (not crazy about).
Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase, I'm glad I didn't get the 16L because that would have been way too small.
My Crumpler is ideal for location shoots. It houses my 24-70, 14-24, 70-200, and flashes. Location shoots was the main reason why I decide to buy it. I can set the bag nearby and go.
This Lowepro 22l AW is exactly what I was looking for hikes. Hiking in a messenger bag is very uncomfortable, given the amount of weight for the Nikon Trinity.
In the lower removable section, I am able to house my D700 (NO grip, not needed for hiking) with a mounted 14-24 and unmounted 24-70. I will provide a picture shortly.
I could also place my sb900 and a sandwich in the upper bag area or even the front pocket. Also, by design, it can carry two water bottles. Perfect.
As for comfort, I was very surprised. I previously owned a Tamrac Evolution 8. The size of this bag was enormous. I never carried a laptop so that just added to the thickness.
This bag was very stiff, but well protected, and I really disliked the style of the Evo 8. Also, the loaded weight was just to much for my shoulders. The under section of the shoulder straps had a rubberized grip which literally felt like my traps were being pulled down to my lower back. Very, very, uncomfortable.
All in all, very satisfied for my needs. From style, protection, and comfort, I highly recommend this bag.

I am used to things like timbuk2 bags. The materials have a cheaper feel.Its a bit bigger than I thought it would be. Its great for hauling and protecting my expensive goodies and some minor stuff for kids. I love that I can pack it with my dslr with a medium zoom lens, two water bottles, Mac book air, kindle fire, and ipad. There's still room left in the top main compartment for kids gadgets. There's still room for a bunch of kindle fires in the top section and extra lenses or flashes in the camera section.
It doesn't have a lot of extra little pockets that I'm used to in other bags.
4stars based purely on the utility of the gadgetry it can carry. 3for quality and convenience.

I was attracted to the fact that it doesn't scream "Hi, there's an expensive camera in here", I can convert it to a regular (non-camera) backpack if I need and I can carry my stuff on back, which is key for wrangling a kid or outdoor adventures in the future. I bought this for our first trip to Disneyland with our child. It fit my Canon T3i DSLR camera and plenty of extras (like my Kindle in the outer pocket and all of my chargers and a jacket in the upper compartment). It worked great as a carry-on for the plane and I felt comfortable knowing my new camera was pretty safe in the overhead. I like the storm flap that you can pull around the camera and used that feature before a few of the damp rides like Pirates of the Caribbean. I had trouble finding the outer storm sack that you see in pictures and at first was worried that it was left out of my order -turns out it's at the very bottom of the backpack, tucked inside the area that would sit on the ground, if you set the backpack upright on the ground, just so you know. Since we had to be screened by security a good bit on the trip, people checking my backpack often complimented on it. I'm a camera novice, so I was not storing multiple lense attachments, but I'm getting if I pick up an extra flash or fancier lense attachment in the future, I should be able to fit that nicely, too. I love the little black band square in the camera compartment that store extra SD cards so you don't lose them. This bag is really nicely made and I wish it would work for me, but being only 5' tall, the pack hangs down too low. When I tighten the straps to pull it higher, the top hanging strap digs into my neck. The pack is really designed for taller people.Save 2% Off

***BEWARE!!!!**** mANY OF THE similar packs from REI, North Face, etc. are TOO SMALL to carry a fullsize laptop. This pack is ACTUALLY JUST LARGE ENOUGH for this purpose. Me? I use this pack mostly for biking to work. It is just broad enough to hold a larger laptop or 3ring binder, etc. ***MANY small summit packs are too skinny to hold either of these things****It came with a whistle on the sternum strap fastex! How cool is that.Great for summoning people and generally attracting attention. I never use the whistle, not even once, but it's nifty nonetheless
The front pocket is super handy. I can easily drop the pack onto one shoulder strap and grab something out of the front pocket.
I wish it were an even brighter color so it would be more visible on the road. I understand that Sierra Designs is aiming more at the backcountry (or backcountry wannabe) user with this item, so they have a much more muted/earthtone shade of jaundice as their yellow. Ok, I forgive them for this
I don't think it will be capacious enough for summit hikes in real mountains out west. I have a bigger daypack with more padding on the straps that I will keep using for that purpose.
The ripstop nylon works great. I abraded a hole in my pack and I have been too lazy to mend it. It's not getting any bigger even after 6 months of daily use.
SYNOPSIS: if you want to telegraph that you are "AWESOME" to absolute strangers, get a trendy bike messenger bag. But if you actually need to carry things while cycling, get this item. THanks for reading, good day, be safe out there

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter. It's even larger than I expected which is good for packing for an overnight or a trip, but it became very heavy for her to carry through the airports. Pack light. :) She's a Selena Gomez fan though, so she loves it. Fur around the small side pockets is a nice touch. Good purchase.

This backpack is very compact in size, although it has three major compartments, one of them is for laptop.The major CONS are the belt buckles and the upper ligaments of the belts.
The buckles are not working so well, they often got stuck once I totally release them. The upper ligaments seem a little too slim to handle much weight.

I purchased this bag because my old briefcase was not large enough to accommodate traveling with a large laptop which I do for my job. After searching the options, I decided on this bag.I recently traveled from the US to Italy and used it as my carry on. I had my 17" laptop, Ipad, chargers and a change of clothes, and still had plenty of room. Several people i was traveling with complimented me on how it looks, which made me feel that it was worth the price. It really looks great.
Before purchasing the Briefcase, I read one review here that stated the bag was not big enough for a 17" Mac book. This is NOT true. I use a 17" HP Envy, and there is plenty of room without removing any sort of insert that the review referenced. Maybe that review was for intended for a different bag.

Very well made. Has a multitude of storage areas that allow putting different things like a computer, Ipad, files, and just about anything else you can think of in the right place.One flaw is one zipper will hang-up if the leather is bowed out or the particular storage compartment if too full. Once you remember to zip it the proper way no big deal.
I plan on using this case for many years. Will be great for traveling and using as an extra carry-on when traveling. Like how you can unzip the back of the case and fit it over the handle of my wheeled suitcase.

From looking at the picture it does not appear to be as large as it actually is. I did find it to have plenty of compartments, very roomy interior, ample room for my 17" laptop, and I could even put stuff in it I normally carry in my purse, along with my phone and other items. When you have this bag you really do not need to carry anything else. It is a little heavy with the laptop in the bag but workable if you use the shoulder strap. I really like it, I just wasn't expecting it to be quite this BIG. I would not recommend carrying it every day but if you have to go out of town on business it more than serves the purpose.

It's only the 3rd week of school, and already both straps have completely unraveled, so the shoulder straps no longer work. The buckles holding the straps are of such poor quality that they didn't grip the straps anyway, and kept coming undone.I also agree about it not staying upright...a very frustrating and disappointing purchase for both my 1st grader and me. We will be buying something else.

My granddaughter is not only delighted with the theme of this backpack (she loves her "Hello Kitty"), but I'm impressed with its durability, ease of use and mainly, because it alleviates the back pressure she was suffering from as a result of carrying around those heavy knapsacks. My only problem comes with keeping it clean. However, that's a minor problem when you consider how much it's been bounced around, dropped, rolled around, etc.

It stands upright (I found sagging diaper bag annoying), has two very large bottle holders (big enough for adult drinks), a mommy's/daddy's pocket in the front with 2 mesh pockets, and spacious main compartment with one zippered pocket, 2 small open pockets, and one large open pocket. The grab handle on the top is very handy. The back straps are padded and has built-in stroller clips. I just wish it has an extra storage pocket on the outside and padding on the back. The back doesn't have additional padding. If the designer place a pouch on the back(either inside or outside of the bag) to place the change pad in, it would provide some cushion for the back. Or the designer should just add cushion like normal backpack would have on the back.

I bought this for holding all my work belongings and it does an okay job. I am able to fit a 17" Macbook Pro, several magazines, folders, mouse, power adapter, wallet, keys, five discs, medium-sized headphones, screen wipes, pens, and several other smallish items like gum etc. The build quality seems to be fairly heavy duty however the one thing I find myself somewhat bothered by is having to untwist (straiten out) the shoulder strap before placing it on my shoulder as the strap doesn't have swivels. Tumi Alpha Lightweight International Carry On
I spent hours in the luggage store measuring and rolling around small carry-ons. This was my favorite, but I was afraid I would have to return it if it would not hold several days-worth of necessities. (Note-Tumi is one of the few brands where the posted measurements include the wheels and handles, as the airlines do) I took it home and started loading it up...the zippered side held a full-size hairdryer, curling iron, flat iron, and still had plenty of spare room for many more items. This zippered-section keeps these items from smashing the clothes on the other side. This division also prevents me from rifling/wrinkling clothes to find other things. The clothes section holds several days worth, plus high heel shoes. The small zippered section,inside the bag on the zippered sleeve, holds a 15" laptop or a bag ful of liquid items. The pullout handle is smooth and does not need an unsightly flap when retracted. Two things I note that prevent a 5 star rating: (1)The small zippered pouch on the outside will not hold a quart-size bag filled with liquid items or much of anything, unless it is thin. Since I carry a shoulder tote that can also slip over the handles of this bag, this was not a deal-breaker. (2) There is no handle on the side of the bag, just the top. While this bag should be able to slide into the Overhead "feet first", this may not be a problem, but still it takes a little getting used to, even when just picking it up to place on a table. One more thing: the large "ebag packing cube" (not Tumi) from the set of 3 fits the clothing side perfectly !

I bought a CaseCrown netbook case and was so thrilled that I wanted to find a larger version for my 15.6" laptop. This design is excellent! (Hence, "great design"). It fit everything, including my extra bulky extended-life battery and the power cord. It looks slim, but the sides seem to be slightly gusseted to allow for expansion. Fabulous and exactly what I was looking for!But, here's the "terrible design" part. If you're not a fan of BRIGHT pink, this is not the case for you. The picture looks pretty bright and it's even worse (or better...depending on your taste) in person. The inside is REALLY hot pink and so is the strap. Coupled with the faux alligator print on the case and it makes the whole thing look cheap. I'm returning this version and will buy a plain black one. It's not nearly as fun sounding, but at least it won't scream "LAPTOP!!"

Looked on Amazon first because I knew I'd find something affordable.Although I'm no teenager, I loved this hot pink alligator look! My laptop is a 14" but it fit fine. OGIO Half Dome Duffel Bag
I own this as well as a previous generation of this bag, so I can point out and review the things they changed and things they kept. We're only talking 4 years ago, a long story how I managed to ruin that bag--my fault, not the product's.Actually, they changed a lot that would not be noticed at first sight. The outer fabric looks the same, but close up it's a waffled texture, and seems sturdier than the old, but of course only time will tell. The former fabric was of decent sturdiness. The outside design is nearly identical, with a newly added pouch for whatever--an ipod, keys or some such. The biggest differences are on the inside: on the old model there was a thin, rectangular piece (likely cardboard), covered in plastic, that lay across the bottom to retain something of a flat shape. This was a nice feature to me. Now it's gone; the whole bottom is now quite shapeless, so if you put something heavy inside first, it juts out. The bag may fit better now into a locker, etc.. Also, they've added a new, rubberized coating on the inside fabric. This is better for wet things, I guess, but WARNING!!! It stinks. Alot. You'll want to keep this at all times back in your car's trunk for sure. I was happy with this bag once before, and hope this one will do the trick again.

I was able to compare it with other products namely, all of the duffel bags from adidas, underarmour, nike, etc. Hands down, a higher quality bag than its competition at a similar price. Within the first day of use, the zipper came off the track. There is no liner inside this, so there are strings everywhere. Considering it is toddler size, not child, toddlers pull strings and then you have a horrible mess because the quilting all comes undone. The applique is felt, it will not hold up over time, it was balling up within days too. The clasp to hold the bag closed has gotten stuck and now it won't close properly. The makers of this backpack seem to have missed the point that this is a product for kids. And that kids will not be the most careful users of backpacks. Only a month after my 9-yeard-old son started taking this backpack to school, the zipper on the main compartment had fallen apart. The little pouches on both sides were torn, and holes on the sides -large enough for pencils and pens to fall out -had appeared. Needless to say, I was bitterly disappointed with the product. I have to admit that the backpack looked flimsy to me the minute I got it out of the box, but I dismissed my first impressions and swallowed the initial urge to return it. Well, I was wrong. Dear buyers, spare yourselves the misery and buy something better than this backpack.My son is a sonic fan, so when he saw this he had to have it! This backpack is super cool, my 6 years old loved it but.... He always went back home from school with the zipper opened the seam. I put it back with a little effort but when We try to open the bag, it mis-seaming again because it is a cheap zipper. No, I would not buy this item again.
