This backpack is nice looking and seems durable, but is really heavy. I don't remember if the product listing had the weight listed but it came as a surprise. We bought it to use when traveling so we don't look like dopey tourists when walking around with guidebooks but with a few books in it really becomes quite something to schlep. Be warned.

Like other reviews, this backpack is very small but the perfect size for my petite 18 month old who weighs almost 20 lbs. I wouldn't want her to have anything bigger anyway. The pack has a clip that goes across the chest to keep little ones from taking it off. I can fit in her sippy cup, 3 pacifiers, and a couple of small snacks. The only reason I did not give it a full 5 stars is because I wish it had a way to 'store' the leash on the outside of the pack when not using it (or maybe make it retractable?). It's inconvenient to have to detach it anytime you don't want to use the leash and let your child still carry the backpack. It is a great little backpack and harness, with an emphasis on little! It is much smaller than I thought it might be, but it is still a decent size. Not much will fit in the backpack itself, but it words great as a harness. The chest strap will detach, so that is great for when my daughter wants to use it as a backpack later on. She is small for her age, so it fits her perfectly!
I bought the medium sized black version of this pack to use for school and for outdoor activities and so far it's been awesome. I am very small (just shy of 5'2" on a good day) so many packs are way too big and bulky looking on me but this one, while still a little long for my torso, is perfect. I am in graduate school so I schlep around a ton of stuff all the time, and this pack holds an impressive amount of my junk without looking "poofy" or overstuffed at all. I can shove a 13" laptop, its charger, my phone charger, several folders of notes, a clipboard, a pen bag, a makeup bag, my graphing calculator, an umbrella, my checkbook-sized wallet, and a few granola bars or whatever I'm munching on for study fuel into this pack with ease. It handles it all in stride and is stylish to boot, with side straps to hold everything in width-wise and keep my stuff from jostling around, and a back panel that is a wonderful shade of goldenrod-yellow.
Let me just start off by saying that this is my first time purchasing a bag, ever. I do not profess myself to have any sort of authority on messenger bags, briefcases, etc. However, that is all about the change with this bag:

After 24 days of using the bag, the stitching and glue at the back of the bag slowly started to come apart. Less than 5 days later, the entire seam at the top of the rear side of the bag completely came apart. Stitching in other areas was also starting to show wear, and it was a matter of days before those areas gave in as well. I used it daily to carry a MacBook Air, accessories, and paperwork. I'm not sure if it was just this bag that was defected or if the overall quality of the manufacturer is bad. I really do like the bags look, comfort, and feel. I am going to give them one more shot, I will be ordering a replacement today, and hope I am not let down again. The good news is, the return process with Ebags, was extremely easy. Well, maybe you are the type of person who buys a bag for every occasion and you don't need your bag to last very long, but I am not that wealthy. I wear a back pack purse everyday to work or play and I need it to last at least six months. This bag is wearing out. The fabric on the bottom corners is frayed and you can now see the white liner showing through. Also the zippers seldom stay closed at the bottom of the bag. The bottom of the zippers usually rip open on their own about an inch from the bottom. There is an inner lining that keeps things from falling out, but it is annoying. It is light weight which is great, but I am not happy that it is wearing out so quickly.

I bought this bag to use on a five week trip to FL. I wanted a bag that looked good enough for any occasion but converted to a backpack when I was more active. This bag was great except when I warmed up and began perspiring, the dye from the zipper rubbed off on my clothing. I do like the security of the zippers and the magnetic clasp at the top. Be careful though...I laid my bag down to put on my jacket on a restaurant table where we had just ate dinner. It's perfect! Lightweight, perfect size for everyday and will be great for travel. Two zippers on the outside and lots of slots on the inside for everything you carry in your purse. Also, the straps can be adjusted to wear as a shoulder bag or a backpack to SAVE your back!
I have been using a KangaTek for Geocaching for the past year and its holding up extremely well. It lives in my car taking quite a bit of heat and solar exposure waiting for me to pull over and toss it over my head. The best thing about this is that its a far more maneuverable version of a lumbar pack or waist pack. The entire thing is fairly durable with only one exception being the zipper pulls. The fabric chosen is not the sturdiest but there is a silver lining in that if one rips off its something that is easily replaced. I have a full review with photos here

Just purchased my second one of these for geocaching. Got the first one about a year ago, and still use it. It has just enough pockets to keep things like trackables, swag, pens, and an epi-pen all organized. Gave the old one to my husband, and ordered another. Can leave it on when riding in the car to the next cache. Has held up really well to being worn out in the woods and going through thorns and the like. This pack has all the bells and whistles you want in a pack. It has a pocket for everything located in the right place and you won't run out of room with it's capacity. My only gripe about this pack is the back panel. It's up against your back and doesn't allow any airflow between it, which means that your back will get sweaty quick. If the next iteration of this pack allowed some airflow or spaced padding to keep the back of the pack away from your back and allow airflow it would be a winner. My wife has a Lenovo netbook and this case is nice and snug around it. The padded material also helps with keeping the netbook protected from light bumps. This was a good buy.
I actually realized after I bought it that it was slightly larger than I'd needed (stupid me), but when it came time to return it, I just liked it too much! It's vintage, cute, and has just enough space for anything you want to carry from a waterbottle to books to a wallet to an iPod. It doesn't have a cell phone case, but I just put mine in the side pocket because I only have one water bottle on me at any time.

I purchased this for San Diego Comic Con. I needed a backpack but didn't want something too big that I would have to lug around with me all day. This backpack functioned just fine and is cool looking. My only complaint is that since it is made out of natural fabric, it soaks up sweat. This backpack really gets the job done. It looks small from the outside, but you can really fit a lot inside. My only complain is the zippers I wish they were a little heftier and went in both directions (ie two zippers coming together).
