The bag itself is wider than taller, so it is more suited for a shoulder bag but instead they made it into a backpack. If it had shoulder straps as well, that would have been great. But as a backpack, there are a few problems I should point out-straps are not ergonomic. The sewn edges of the straps are straight along the top of the backpack. It would have been better if they were sewn at an angle to match the contour of the user's back, as well as distribute the load evenly across the sewn edge. Instead the much of the load is carried along only one side of the strap, which will likely tear with substantial loads.
Also as a shoulder bag this next problem would not exist, but it does as a backpack -the looseness of the bag does not allow the laptop to stay put against your back. Instead it the backpack tens to flop back a little. My previous backpack kept the laptop closer to the back and thus felt much lighter. My 15" IBM thinkpad felt almost twice heavier in this backpack. You could tighten the straps to correct this but the way the backpack is designed, it looks very silly to wear the backpack so high up on your back, nor is it comfortable.
my summary:
pros:
Styling: neutral color, utilitarian/urban flare, soft canvas styling
Interior: roomy interior (very large open pocket, well padded laptop pocket
Front zippered pocket for accessories
cons:
very poor weight distribution, poor comfort.
questionable durability (single stitched seams)
side pockets faux buttons, uses velcro
wide laptop storage. Should be vertical design. The backpack is really comfortable, i barely feel the weight of the laptop in my back. It has A LOT of space, so you can carry almost everything you want on it. The only thing i didn't like was the size.. I though it was a bit smaller. As a woman, i find it a little big for me and my back. That's why i give 4 out to 5. The rest is perfect. It's a multifinctional backpack, and it really worths the generous price. PLUS and EXCELLENT brand, lifetime warranty and water&steel resistant.
A very powerfull backpack!

Great product but color was described differently. Other than that it is comfortable to wear and doesnt hurt my shoulders one bit with a 5 pound laptop inside.
