I got this bag for my daughter, who wanted it as a backpack for preschool. It's nice and roomy, yet lightweight. Because it's designed for an adult, we've had to tie some knots in the drawstrings so it doesn't hang down past her bottom when she wears it. So far it's easily held a plush blanket, a change of clothes, and a notebook. I don't know how well it will hold up for the school year, but these sorts of bags are usually surprisingly durable. Get it on Amazon rather than NBC and save a buck on shipping! :D
