This looks and feels like the sort of messenger bag a dry bag company would make. It does not have a sealing closure or even a zipper, but the flap closes off the bag compartment so effectively that although I've ridden at high speeds through extended heavy rain with it (I bought it mostly for motorcycle commuting in soggy western Washington), the contents stay completely dry, which is the main thing I was looking for. The flap closure is a somewhat bizarre metal-hook-in-slot thing that looks and acts like a prototype, and though you can get used to it, it never works as well as the buckle systems used on most messenger bags. The bag has a small front pocket (under the flap) useful for holding small or flat objects (like cellphones or maybe a magazine), an inside rear pocket good for a file or a laptop, a large interior bag, and several additional pockets around the margins of the large bag, suitable for things like cell phones, pens/pencils, etc. After 3 months of use I'm pretty happy with it and expect it to last for years.Read Best Reviews of SealLine Urban Shoulder Bag Here
