I ordered this backpack for my daughter who was starting kindergarten. There are pros and cons about this item. It says it is 12 inches tall so i figured that it would be perfect for her because i didn't want a backpack that was too big for a 5 year old to carry. However it will not fit a standard size folder. We have to bend the corners down to get the backpack zipped. Also it does not have a large enough smaller pocket to fit pencils. It is very pretty with vibrant colors and seems very well made. I have decided to order her a different backpack for school and just use this one as an overnight bag for clothes and toys.
