I recently saw this product advertised on a different website, one of those 24-hour-deal-get-it-while-it-lasts sites. After waiting too long to decide to purchase it, I searched here, through Amazon, and was so pleased to find it for half the price of that other "deals" website.I ordered it quickly, and was pleased to find it arrive at my doorstep only a few days later. The packaging was minimal and efficient, and it was shipped to me folded in on itself. It was an interesting way to discover that this bag can be stored in itself as a pouch. :)
The material was not what I expected, but I like it. It's almost comparable to a parachute type of material. The material is resistant to dirt, liquid, and therefore, staining. The colors of the grey stripes are true to the picture, and the material is extremely light-weight and sturdy.
The opening of the bag has a drawstring to cinch it shut by a plastic clasp, a magnetic snap to close the flap over the drawstring, and a D-ring to ensure that the bag does not come open by accident. I sometimes just drawstring it closed, if I'm using it to shuffle things around town. However, when I'm traveling, it's nice to have the added security of all of the bells and whistles. There is also a zip pouch on the front, that is closed by a plastic zipper. The zipper is well constructed and has not yet snagged. I like to keep my little things in there, for ease of access, and so I don't have to dig through the larger part of the bag for something small.
Overall, I love it! I purchased it to bring with me when I travel to Japan next month. All of its characteristics are very well-suited for my purpose. The material also gives me ideas about bringing it to the beach, since it seems very easy to clean, and will probably be very easy to get sand out of. Better than a canvas bag, I'm sure.
