I have been purchasing Orvis Gear since 1981. This sling pack caught me off guard in how amazingly usable it is. It holds what a small vest might hold but easily moves front or back as needed. I love the idea of having a small pack on your back not hanging heavy as a vest does after hours. I supplemented this Sling Pack (although I also store this in my Sling Pack) with a Loon Lanyard to hold tippet, and a few tools and find that all but the most complicated fishing trips that I can pack all I need in this Sling Pack. This is not a pack for someone who wants to pack 20 pounds of gear, but for someone willing to carry two fly boxes, some tools, and other essentials, this Sling is for you. The material is very high quality and the zippers and straps are excellent. I would give this a 10+ and it even suprised my critical nature. Worth the money!
Bought as a gift for an avid fly fisher and he uses it for fishing as well as multiple other small bag needs. The bag holds a ton of stuff and it quite convenient. Works great as a camera bag.
