Tumi Luggage Tegra-Lite Extended Trip Packing Case

I love this travel case, so light, tons of room, I absolutely love this case.

The hard shell allowed me to pack my extra nice high heel shoes without fearing they might get squooshed.

Not only is it functional for packing for longer trips, I love that you don't have to worry about scratching it.

Love the look too.

My carry on is also Tumi, but not tegra-lite, I'm trying to find an excuse to buy the carry on in this series :)

Tumi suitcases are expensive but when they are of such high quality like this one, very much worth the price. I used this on an international trip that was quite long and involved. It wore the stress of the trip quite well with minor scuffs that have not detracted from the original beauty of the suitcase. Another feature I like very much is the light weight of this luggage. It is the lightest weight piece of luggage for the size that I own. I highly recommend this product for it's durability and beauty of design.

Our closet is full of Tumi luggage; have always loved the quality and longevity. Eventually it does wear out if you travel a lot!

We wanted lightweight and substantial luggage with four wheels. This bag is beautiful-as long as you don't fly with it! One flight and and it was badly scratched! It looked five years old.

The hanging side isn't designed well. And the cross strap doesn't keep clothes in the position I packed them. It's not Tumi quality I have known and relied on for the past decade.

I returned this bag.

I'm actually calling Tumi customer service today. I bought a set of 3 Tegra-Lite bags from the Extended size on down. We bought our luggage less than a week before our trip to Hawaii. As the luggage was coming off the conveyor belt, we could see that the extended trip already has a dent in it!! We purchased the black set and the scratches makes it look like we've had it for over 5 years! They said, just wipe it down and it should look new again. Umm... nope! I'm completely disappointed. We spent $2800 for the set and we would've been better off had we purchased a cheaper brand.

There's a Tumi store in Ala Moana Shopping Center in Honolulu. They said to call customer service when we get back from our trip and they apologized profusely. So here's to seeing what customer service says. Needless to say by the time our luggage made it back to Denver... well let's just say that it looks so bad I'm embarrassed to even use it. And I sure don't want to admit that I got duped into buying a $2800 luggage set. I've had the cases less than a month, took one trip, and they look horrible. The Tumi logo is even scratched off on the back of the case.

I definitely would NOT recommend this to anyone. All 3 of our black cases look horrible. Maybe the graphite doesn't show the scratches as bad, but our extended case still has a dent in it.
