The product description calls this an everyday backpack...only if you are Liliputian or use it as a purse. I got this for my first grade boy. A 3-ring binder will not fit in it. It is too small. It would barely hold his lunch. This should be marketed as a todder bag not boys 8-20. Very disappointed...

I can confirm what a previous reviewer said. This bag won't fit even a duo-tang. My 6 year-old loves the pattern but it's way too small. I understand that the size is stated there, but I imagined a standard sized binder/notebook and for some reason I felt like the stated size would work for that but it doesn't. It's good for a couple of SMALL library books and a snack. Or it could be a shoe bag, but definitely not a school bag for anyone who has notebooks or binders. It might work as a preschool backpack.
