I am somewhat of a tomboy, so this backpack is the perfect purse for me! It's even got a slick zipper on the side to gain access to the contents without un-doing the top, and also has another zipper on the other side, with yet more space, almost like a secret compartment! It is big enough to hold all my stuff; makeup, camera, medicine, wallet, checkbook, pens, keys, it is perfect! Very nicely made, durable, I am going to use this for a long time!! There are no side pockets but there are 2 in the front that fit things like your checkbook, badge for work, or things like that. 2 enthusiastic thumbs up!!
I have had this purse backpack for 2 weeks, and am loving it. Roomy, easy to access stuff, well made, easy to carry. The straps can slip when off, but once it's on your back it never slips, just put it on, pull the straps to the right length and you are good to go (this is totally easy to do, since the straps are right there in front of you. So its so easy to have them longer when you put it on and shorten them when you have it on. I use to have a Vera Bradley print backpack, but this is a bit more sophisticated, a bit more roomy and a LOT cheaper. Highly recommend! Although there is no padding, my ipad fits right in. I just have to put it between other stuff to protect it.

I take this everywhere with me; to college, to the store, to my sister's house, just everywhere. It's the perfect size, not to big and not too small. My books fit inside perfectly, and it has a very useful hidden compartment in the back. I've had it for years, and it's just as durable as when I first bought it. The straps are comfortable too, which is definitely worth noting. Nothing sucks more than a backpack with uncomfortable straps. My only complaint is that is should come in more designs. If it did, you'd better believe I'd be buying another one.
