17L x 14 W. Pretty sturdy. I stuff EVERYTHING in it from books to groceries. I really like that it has ribbon/bands straps vs nylon ropes-the bands don't cut into my shoulder when I put heavy stuff in it! Plus the price was ridiculously low. But I've only had it for a few months. I'll update if I have any issues.
