My third grader loves this backpack!!! It's perfect for an eight year old. It is a medium size, it's not too big for him. There is plenty of room for his binder, a book, and his lunch box. The mesh on the side is great for keeping the water bottle in it. I gave it 4 stars only because of the size, I thought it looked bigger in the pic. It turned out perfect for us :)
Beyond the beautiful colors of this backpack, it is the right size for any student of any age or academic level.I bought this for my 7 yr. old grandson who is into camo. What the picture doesn't show is that the front of this bag is a giant flap that is weighted & secures quite easily. Once lifted, there are all sorts of pockets (3) & conveniences for a student right on thru jr. h.s. This backpack made such a hit, it had to be taken on vacation BEFORE school started.
