I purchased this bag for a backpacking trip through Thailand in the fall of 2011. I was looking around for the best value for a pack, and was surprised to see a Kelty pack at such a competitive price. At first glance the color was off putting to me, but I decided to go through with it anyways. I am very satisfied with this purchase. The pack was very comfortable, a mesh lining across your back that allows airflow was awesome in the hot and humid Thai climate. The color was also much more handsome in person than appeared on the web.On the way to Thailand I tried to pack relatively light for an 11 day trip, but the pack seemed to be relatively full. While in Thailand, me and two friends had custom suits made at a tailor. I was departing the country before all of my companions, and was forced to take all three suits and 6 shirts back with me on the plane. I was able to fit all of these extra clothing articles into this pack and still carry it on two international flights!! I thought this was alone worth the cost of the pack and am very satisfied with this purchase. My friends borrow this thing all the time and they love it. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cost effective pack.
