I love the way this bag looks and feels, it's size and it's pocket options, but I've had this bag since September last year (about 7 months) and the zippers recently started coming apart. To be fair it started to happen when I tried to get a lot of stuff in there, but once the zippers went wonky, I would fix them, and then they'd come apart until this weekend, they both just broke where I had been bending them into place. They were the zippers on the main pocket. It's also starting to fall apart in other places, the cloth behind one of the arm straps is fraying, and there's a hole in one of the side pockets. Again, to be fair, I use it every day, but overall, it's a cool bag, but not built to last.
I noticed how much more comfortable this bag feels with my books and laptop compared to my previous bag. Functionally, the bag has three space areas in the large pocket (one each for laptop, iPad/other, and textbooks/everything else). Note that you will not be able to fit two textbooks plus your laptop in there since the bag is compact.
In the smaller pocket, there is a compartment for coins/cards, whatever small you want to pack. I wish, however, that there was a compartment for holding an iPod. If the bag had more pockets to secure more items like cards, batteries, what-not, I would give this bag 5-stars. However, I give this bag two thumbs up and four stars!Hard to find in Hurley or other surfing wear stores. Half way through the high school year and my son's backpack still looks brand new. Trendy style with alot of space. Happy!
