This backpack is perfect. It looks great, it's easy to carry, there is plenty of space to carry whatever you need. I am sensitive to smells so I had to let it air out a little bit before I could use it. I could also use a little more shoulder padding.
Other than that, I think it's great.

I shopped all over the web for the best price on this bag and eBags through Amazon beat the next best price by $30. I like the bag. I bought it in distressed brown. It's a bit short for the 17" laptop I carry in it, but it works. It would be perfect for anything smaller than a 17" machine. For me, the shoulder straps are too long. I have a long torso, but like carrying my bag high. With only three buckle holes provided at the end of a long strap, the bag hits me much too low when being carried. I'll get it fixed by taking it to a shoe repair and having additional holes punched in the strap. Unfortunately, I'll have a lot of extra strap hanging down, but to cut it off would mess up the contrasting stitching that is visible at the edges of the strap. Other than that complaint, I like the bag. It has a large main compartment, good size pockets, and a couple hidden pockets that would be good for valuables. I recommend the bag and am happy with my purchase, but if you prefer not to have the bag hit you below the waist, plan on adding buckle holes to shorten the straps.Read Best Reviews of ClaireChase Uptown Bak-Pack Here
Very well-constructed suede/leather backpack. Loads of pockets. The new leather is rough and tends to shed, but I'm sure it will come into it's own after a little wear and tear. I do plan on taking it to a cobbler to have additional holes made for the shoulder adjustment. I am 5'4" and the straps don't adjust for someone my size. Overall, a high quality product.Want ClaireChase Uptown Bak-Pack Discount?
I purchased this item for my husband, who lost his Marlboro Leather backpack in a flood. To be honest, it was a joint present because when we go out and about and will be walking quite a bit, he has to carry my stuff!I purchased this pack in distressed brown and the leather is lovely and supple and really doesn't look "fake distressed." The bag is a nice size and holds more than one would think.
My only criticism is one that my husband just pointed out to me: When you sling it over one shoulder, the weight distribution is such that things are likely to tilt and start sliding out unless the drawstring is tight as tight can be before you set off on your adventure.
All in all, love this bak pack and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone (or their husband). You can buy cheaper, but I don't think they make them much better. :)
