I searched for ages to find an appropriate sized backpack for my 5 year old son for 'big school'. Everything I found in stores (if I found anything at all), was either too small, or way too big. With the measurements provided for the backpack, I was able to determine if this bag would fit his school-related items (which it would perfectly). I personally enjoy the two pockets; as they come in handy for mittens, hats, snacks, notes, his books, and even his heavy coat! I showed my son all of the Wildkin Olive Kids pattern options... he chose this one on his own. He has been ecstatic about this backpack since it arrived and oftentimes wears it around the house after he gets home. Hopefully it will hold up nicely and we can use it for a few school years.

I looked everywhere for a little boys book bag that wasn't cars or toy story. It is good quality and a good size..not too big or too small.

Well, my 3 year old son loves his backpack and the matching lunch bag! And that's all a mom could ask for :) it works well for his pre-school, and is very roomy.
