but then it is only my 2nd. My first pack was a cheapo $30 bag and I thought it was pretty good. It lasted 5 years and did its job but the raptor is on a whole other level. The quality of this bag and all the little features are so much nicer. First ride out I got to test out the removable tool pouch and it worked very well. I'm not going to bother going over everything since there are very good videos on certain sites that can do a much better job but if you are wanting a good pack and don't mind spending the money this is a good one. One really nice feature that I will bring up is this thing has a life time guarantee. You break a clip, rip it, a zipper dies, whatever they will fix it for life. I went with the green which comes off as really bright in some of the online pics but in person is a really nice olive green.

I have a couple rides on this pack now. Very comfortable and unlike my old one it is very easy to adjust the straps on the fly even while riding as you drink water to keep it fitting snug. I really like the hard backed water bladder. Extremely easy to fill and it stays flat even when full, no feeling like you have a big sausage on your back back. The hip pockets are handy for storing gels and my phone so I can get to them without taking the pack off.

This is a great medium sized pack. I had a smaller pack, but it was stuffed to the max with layers, water, and food. The raptor is stable, well designed, and durable. The only thing I would change is the outer stretch pocket. It doesn't have that much stretch to it, so it will only hold small items.

This bag is awesome! Fits perfectly and does everything that it says it does. Definitely recommended if just looking for a single days journey. The extra pockets hold any smaller sized items needed and would even fit a smaller sized beach towel as well as some water if using it for that purpose.

The flat back to the water bladders are an awesome feature that I would say osprey simply tops camelbaks in a heartbeat. Also the magnet on the end of the mouthpiece that connects it to the sternum strap also is another great feature that camelbaks do not offer.

I recommend this product to anyone that is interested in buying one of these. Overall, great quality and very effective.
