Dakine Girls Prom Back Pack

I bought this online at the beginning of the school year since I heard great reviews and t was pretty affordable.... Let me just say one thingThis backpack is BOSS! I received it in record time and I loved how it had a shipping thingy that let you track it :)

I bought the 'Houndstooth' since it was one of the cheaper patterns and I couldn't be happier! The only thing that made me a bit sad was that the zippers were green rather than pink, as displayed in the picture. However, I have grown to love the color! The inside is somewhat of a circular floral pattern with pixel-looking blocks and smaller flowers here and there. The background is neon green to match the zippers, but the flowers are hot pink and orange, adding a nice pop of color to the otherwise plain pack.

Now onto the pockets (which display the same bright pattern described above)there are a total of 6, along with a few inner pockets within pockets (pocketception!) and a laptop sleeve inside. The top pocket is positioned at the little handle where the straps meet at the top. It is lined with a velvety kind of material and is meant for sunglasses, but who caries sunglasses to school really? I found that it is perfect to carry your phone, iPod, or other small personal items in. ( Ladies... ;] ) The next pocket is the main one on the front. it has 2 velvet-lined pockets in the middle for your devices, 3 pen/pencil holders, and a zipper pocket for materials. Seeing as I use the top pocket for my devices, I use the little inner pockets for my ID and whatnot...But those little guys work good for your phone as well!

The last pockets are the front pocket (a open slot in the front without a zipper, best used for pencils and other items you take out often), The two side pockets (One has a mesh little pop-out with a draw string to hold a water bottlesuper handy! The other does not have one, so it is great for snacks!) and the AMAZING insulated pocket! Oh my gosh, this thing rocks! It is lined with the same material used in lunch bags, and keeps food cold! However, I do not like the placement. Seeing as it is on the front, your sandwich may be squished or your soda may made your bag appear bulky and awkward. Still a pretty cool feature for a backpack, though.

A few other cool thingsThe straps have a memory-foam type stuff in themNo more sore shoulders! :) And this pack seems like it is made for women in mindNo more squished boobs! The straps are shaped so they don't go right across your chest. And lastly, this brand comes in a variety of stylish shapes and colors so you will be sure to find one that fits you just right!

A few other NOT so cool thingsThe bottom is rounded, which gives it a nice look, but it makes it hard to stand up straight and not fall over. :( The shape also makes it look a little...large. even when I only have a few spirals and a binder in it, the rounded shape makes it balloon out and make me look like a little turtle. Which is cute and all, but I wish the material was little less stiff so it wouldn't pop out or dent inwards when zipped shut.

It has a ton of pockets, adorable pattern on the inside, a nice shape, and durable build! I would totally recommend this to anyone who needs a bag that supplies comfort and storage space! Happy Shopping!!

Very great backpack for college student. Can hold a lot of things without making your back feel strained. Lots of compartments and very cute, unique, not over-the-top design.

I received my backpack in a timely mannner. I think I even got it a day earlier than Amazon predicted. I was very impressed with the quality and size. At first it may look as if it won't fit much, but once you start piling things in there you'll realize that it holds a lot! I'm a college student, so it is very important to have a heavy duty backpack that can also keep my stuff nice and organized. It even has a compartmet for my sunglasses, which I have found most useful. And to top it all off, it is super cute! You may think its a bit pricey, but I've paid similar amounts for other bags that didn't offer nearly as much as this one. A great investment!

I bought this backpack for my daughters first year of high school. We both love the look and design. I would totally recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality backpack and will likely be purchasing this brand of backpack next time there's a need. It's plenty big without being too bulky, well constructed, lots of pockets, and fits her 15 inch laptop. Backpacks at our local stores are cheaply made and over priced, most years my daughters backpack was complete junk half way through the school year, won't happen with this pack.
