I bought this bag because of the stories of pickpockets in Italy. Once there and being somewhat off season, I did not feel too at risk. Never got on the Rome #64 pickpocket bus (to Vatican). The metro at rush hour was a prime place for pickpockets but had no trouble. Looking at how the Italians carried their things, a zippered bag held close to body seems to be the norm. However, I did feel that this bag provided good security that would deter pickpockets from trying to even attempt anything. The bag does not have a lot of space but fit a couple small umbrellas and a light raincoat inside plus small tour books. Also kept my wallet inside the zippered section inside the outside pouch. Figured this would be really difficult to both get into bag and then unzipper another compartment. The size is good for visiting museums where large backpacks needed to be checked but I did not have a problem. There were a couple museums that required that the sling bag be carried on my front side (to keep the pack from knocking over some art work or something I guess). It was comfortable and could easily be swung around to front from back for access.

The antitheft features did make it a bit cumbersome to get into, i.e., the securing of the pouch zippers to the hook and getting them undone. It is the price for security and likely a strong deterrent for pickpockets. The RFID section was too small for passport and not convenient for credit cards because of its depth. I would suggest Pacsafe reconsider this design. Perhaps make it larger with pull out plastic pouch for easy retrieval of passport/credit cards.

I'll preface this review by saying that I live only a few miles from work and often walk a mile to the bus or about 4 miles all the way to work. Therefore I needed a bag that was small and would be comfortable for my entire journey.

I first started looking for a new sling pack when I noticed that my current one didn't support the size of my new Microsoft Surface tablet. This more then did the trick keeping it nice and snug with or without the keyboard covers. I'll admit I mostly use this as I walk to work and don't find much value in the zipper clip or the slash proof wire lining, but the bag does feel sturdy and very well designed. I thought that I might be paying a tad much for it, but after getting it in the mail my mind was changed instantly. Just feeling this bag, I knew I'd be able to get a lot of use out of it. I'll also note that with most of the sling bags I've tried, it's painfully difficult to run with them, however this one is quite easy and comfortable due to it's close fitting design. I'm not doing a pro or con list with this pack as I just don't have any cons. I'm not going to say the bag is perfect, but I will say that I got more then I paid for and couldn't be happier.

Actually, I got this for my husband. Since he acquired glasses and hearing aids, he has to carry mre than he's used to. Also, it holds his Nook nicely. When we ordered it we thought he would use it when we travel: airports, day trips, etc. He ikes it so much he uses it every time we go out. We've had more than one man turn around and walk back tous to ask where we bought it. Most of them were bicyckle and motorcycle riders.

I like it because it looks much nicer than the fanny pack he was using. It has a nice "techie" look to it. It's gping to be much easier when we go through the airports later this year.

I got this to use with my iPad mini, moleskin notebooks, and diabetic supplies. It works great and has less bulk then the previous bag that I had. It also doesn't resemble a purse (musre) like the previous one did. And, whereas the other one was packed full, this one has some extra space left for things like a small water bottle or anything else I might need to insert on my travels. I use this for real travels and for everyday travels to and from work. ;)
