I used this daypack on daily excursions, as well as overnight trips in Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand. I like the wide shoulder straps as well as the side straps that let you adjust the size, if needed. The side pockets hold 2 500 ml water bottles and the compartments were very useful to keep things organized.

I've been looking for a small daypack that didn't look like it was made for a 10-yr-old for a while. I have a tendency to over-pack, hence the desire for something on the smaller side. This daypack fits the bill. It has plenty of space for snacks/lunch, a hat, rain jacket, collapsible trekking poles, and other miscellaneous items, such as a small first aid kit, cell phone (just in case the bears need to contact someone...), camera, wallet, insect repellant, etc. I shoved a 24-oz water bottle in one of the water bottle pockets with no problem. I don't feel a need to use the sternum or waist straps and will probably remove them at some point. I bought the blue/smoke version, and am very pleased with the color. The material is tough. I haven't used it in the rain yet, but it seems like the material will be relatively water-repellant (although I wouldn't trust it to be completely water proof). Bought this backpack primarily because I wanted the outside stretchy bands for carrying stuff that I wanted easily accessible, like a vest. The backpack is good sized and carries all that is needed in a day's adventure. The outside side pockets are perfect for waterbottles, and there is ample room in the larger compartment for lite weight jackets, cameras, binocs, etc. A good day pack.Save 9% Off
