This was a great little backpack to have for a transition from a diaper bag. Now that my son is older, we don't need to carry around a diaper bag anymore. This bag is small enough for him to tote around with just a pull up and some wipes. Keep in mind it is small and only good for short outings...not an overnight bag. I do wish it had a couple more compartments, but overall it works great for what we need and has an awesome guitar on it which my son loves!Disney Cars Kids Mini Backpack - Heavy Metal Mater 10 Inch

Item came and was exactly as pictured. My nephew loved it and all was well in the kingdom! lol Great Experience!I used to hate back to school shopping, because backpack choices were either trendy but poorly made or extremely expensive. My son found this backpack at Amazon and liked it for it's "cool" factor. It was only $38 which was still considerably less than I have paid for quality backpacks (Jansport, LL Bean, Swiss Gear). My son has been using it for 6 months and it has not ripped or shown wear at the seams or zippers. He is in 8th grade, so he is carrying a lot of books in this pack. He is also 14, so he throws it around and is not particular about how he treats it. I am happy that this pack will last the entire year and I didn't have to fork out $50 or more for it. With the " cool" factor, he may even be ok with using it next year!my son loves Neff. i was going to get him the typical Jansport , but for the price / design i went with this and would not hesitate to buy anotherDisney Brave Rolling Luggage

- 15'' H x 16'' W x 7'' D
- Merida and Triplet Cubs screen art with sequin scrolls and embroidered detailing
- Glittering sides and top carry strap
- Zip closure with two pulls
- Retractable handle
Your Merida fan will love this case. The sides are a glittery teal colored vinyl. The Merida pattern on the front of the case is a tad dark for my taste. But, the movie color scale was a bit dark too, so this is a fit.
The online disneystore is sold out of this style. However, they do have many other complimentary Merida items that could be paired with this luggage.
This luggage works well as a carry on, but would probably be destroyed as checked baggage. This luggage is great for a weekend trip or simply as a toy hauler.
There are no pockets inside this luggage. We have discovered that three medium size ebags packing cubes fit perfectly in this case. Ebags packing cubes are available on Amazon and direct at ebags online. The Aquamarine colored ebags would be a nice match for the Merida case. The small or slim ebags packing cubes would also work well with this case.
My granddaughters all love their Disney rolling luggage. Even the 2 year old can push her own. Insists on it in fact. "I do it!"
Gregory Savant 48 Backpack
You may be asking, "If you love this pack, why didn't you give it 5 stars?" Well...I'm not infatuated with it. In a way love can be defined as accepting someone despite of their shortcomings or flaws. That being said, I do think that there are some things about this pack that are not perfect but there are so many things about it that work so well. Here are some things about the pack I would change if I could:
1. The 'secret' pocket along the right side of the pack behind the waist belt seems like a gimmick to me...there aren't many things I would put in there as a backpacker...it could fit a wallet or something, but I don't see much use for it. Now if you're worried that a stranger will root through your pack, then that could be helpful.
2. The hip pockets are mesh which cuts down on weight but don't put anything in there that you aren't willing to put through the elements. Stick your cell phone/camera in a baggie!
3. The side mesh pockets are not elastic so putting a water bottle in them is really hard once the main compartment is packed. I put water bottles in those pockets before I pack the main compartment and it makes things a little more snug in there. I'd like to have more space in my main compartment. So why don't I just get a hydration bladder? Next point...
4. It's hard to get a hydration bladder in and out of the hydration pouch. And the hydration pouch actually sits in the main compartment, so once again, pack it before you pack the main compartment. And a packed hydration pouch means a little less space in the main compartment.
5. This last one is really ticky-tack but the top compartment has a zipper designed to keep out water. Once again, I think that's more of a gimmick because you can actually roll it and tuck it in which could keep it away from water anyway.
Now that I have gotten that out of the way, I can talk about why I love this pack! First and foremost, it fits me and my needs really well. The suspension fits well and feels good on my back. I love the way it aligns with the small of my back and at my shoulders. And at 48 liters, I can have just about everything I need for an overnight/weekend trip with the fam or a more intense, less comfortable 3 day trip with my buddies. Here are some fragmented thoughts on what I like:
-I recently took the Savant out on an overnight trip where temps dipped into the low teens at night, and I had it packed as full as I could get it with anything that could keep me warm (I don't have any winter gear). Loaded with about 30 lbs of gear (carried some extra stuff for people) the pack held up quite nicely. The suspension is basically two thick wires that make a wishbone shape. They did not bend or shift, and the suspension did not bulge...I was worried it would happen but was pleased it did not. Surprisingly, the 30 lbs felt relatively comfortable on the hike if that's even possible. My muscles were tired from fatigue but not because of discomfort. 30 lbs is at the high end of this pack's weight capability and it performed beautifully.
-All of the straps seem to work really well. I haven't experienced much shifting of gear, and the straps stay pretty snug. When I had 30 lbs in it I had to readjust my waist strap but I am a 30 inch waist and pretty slender so I blame that more on my hips...and the fact that I had a bunch of layers on to protect me from the elements.
-You can get into the main compartment in two ways: the top, and there's a zipper that opens up like a horseshoe to get access to the main without opening the top and unpacking everything. I find that very helpful.
-Unlike the side mesh pockets, the outer front pocket has some elastic on it so you can fit a good amount of things in there even with a full main compartment.
-I haven't used the rain cover yet, but I'm sure glad it's there!
Overall, I think this is a great pack. The things I'd change about this pack did not deter me from getting it because there are many things I love about it. This pack fits me really well, it's durable and for the most part the design is really well thought out. I wouldn't have reservations about recommending this pack to anyone interested in a weekend pack.
**UPDATE** I recently went on an overnight backpacking trip and on the way back the clouds opened up and poured. The rain cover worked great as the water beaded up and simply rolled off of the cover. Worked quite nicely.Used shortly after buying on two winter backcountry xc ski trips. Very comfortable (no sore shoulders, back, etc or strained feeling) often after 6-10 hours with 35-40lbs in the backpack.

Fits great, very comfortable. Used it on a trip to Havasupai, a 10 mile hike into the campground in the Grand Canyon. It was our first trip of this type. Pack worked great and had plenty of room for my stuff. Any bigger and I would fall over since I am only 5 feet tall. Lots of pockets and easy access to pack and unpack.I've used my new pack on six snowshoe daytrips. Its exactly what I needed to haul extra cold weather gear and a hydration bladder without having to hang gloves and jackets from straps and carabiners on the outside of the pack. I like the main entry port of the Savant which top-loads or has access from a midway zipper. Great purchase at a good price!!Swiss Gear 16" Zinc Canvas Computer Notebook Briefcase
I was looking for a simple messenger bag that could both hold my things, and securely hold my 15.6 inch laptopthis bag does both. There's so much space, and yet it's not too bulky. I would recommend this bag to anyone.I needed a computer case that would also have pockets for reports, materials, and room for a small purse or the items usually in one, brush, makeup, wallet, etc. It is sturdy and lives up to its description -I love it and without reservation recommend itBuy Swiss Gear 16" Zinc Canvas Computer Notebook Briefcase Now
I bought this online because I found the same basic bag in the store for a smaller computer. I liked how it felt and looked but it was too small for my computer (the one in the store, that is). This bag is big enough for my computer...too big, actually. I found a lot of extra space in the laptop area after I put my computer in. It's a little maddening that I ended up having to choose between too small or too big, but ultimately I am satisfied with this bag. Plus the extra room allows me to have a laptop sleeve over the laptop while it's in the bag, so that allows me to add protection.
If you want a bag that has a snug fit, make sure your computer is 16".
The extra compartments save this bag from getting 3 stars, in my opinion. This will carry quite a bit more than a plain laptop bag, but it is not as burdening compared with a backpack capacity.

This bag rocks! It will carry a large laptop easily with room to spare. I like the organizer being outside the bag right under the main flap. The pocket on the main flap holds a lot to. The cellphone/mediastick pocket is a nice touch. I like the 2 pockets on the side and the magazine/newspaper pocket on the back. The strap is very comfortable and makes the bag easy to carry long distances even if it is fully loaded. I was in school back when I bought this bag because of my new laptop which was 2 inches larger than my old laptop and would not fit in my old laptop bag. The main compartment holds quite a bit and the pocket that's in front of the main compartment but behind the business organizer is very handy as well. My hats off to the maker of this excellent bag. The cost was great and very affordable. All in all, this bag was a steal at $40. It would've been a bargain at even 2 or 3 times that price. First off, this is not as long as it is measured to be and some of the pictures with people, on the web, make this bag look too long. It is not. I have to assume that the Amazon measurements take into account the 2 side pockets, stretched to their fullest. Actually, the length is just a hair over 16 inches and measured across the bottom, it is just over 15 inches. There are 2 long partitions inside, one with a Velcro flap over the top middle. There is a zipper closure in the flap on the outside and a Velcro held pocket along the entire backside, 15X10.5 with a matching pocket on the reverse side under the flap and behind the smaller, front pockets. Inside, there are two nylon pockets, 5.5 wide by 5 deep, one has a Velcro flap the other has a smaller mesh pocket on the outside. In the center is a Velcro nylon cell phone pocket, 2.5X4 with 2 pencil holders on the side. On both ends are zippered pockets, 4x6. The entire inside is lined with soft nylon and the partition and back side are padded. The bottom outside is also covered with more sturdy nylon and is also padded. The materials are top notch. The fittings are very good. The stitching and workmanship are as good as it gets. The color is grey/green with the green barely showing up.
Also, which explains the quality, this is made by Wenger, one of two companies authorized to make the Swiss Army Knives. No wonder this looks like it is made to military specs. It also explains the pocket attached to the cell phone pocket; it is for your Swiss Army Knife. Oh, and add a Lifetime Warranty with a flat $10 for shipping.
I would buy another in a minute and if I wasn't sure that this thing will outlast me, I would buy 2.
18" Green Army ACU Digital Camouflage Water-resistant School Backpack
Initially I wasn't really sure how this backpack (it's sitting next to me right now) would hold up, especially given how cheap it is. Thankfully, it holds EVERYTHING (and i'm talking a ridiculous amount of textbooks, my 15 inch macbook, my pencil case, my two folders . . . you get the picture) and more importantly, is COMFORTABLE. I made the mistake of bringing aesthetically pleasing bags over to college and they are usually not particularly functional so this was a godsend. I would DEFINITELY recommend this to anyone. It's low key, functional, and CHEAP.This merchant is very close to where I live, and I saw this backpack in person and just had to have it. I am so happy I did. Nice strong and durable construction, tons of space, padded curved shoulder straps that are extra comfortable, the little extras like rain flaps that make it more safe to use in weather.... More than worth the money I spent on it. Looking forward to it being offered in more colors to give as Christmas presents!Buy 18" Green Army ACU Digital Camouflage Water-resistant School Backpack Now

I bought this backpack for my 6 yr old son. I was worried that it would be way too big for his tiny body, but it is perfect! This backpack works great from kindergarten to a senior. Very flat with nothing in it but really holds Allot inside. It is very heavy duty material & looks like it will last for many years to come. No pockets other than the one outter pocket, is the only minor downside. Love it! I have a lot of experience with ACU gear given my military occupation. This is in no way close to military spec, but I wasn't expecting it to be. I got this for my 7 year old and he can wear it just fine. It's big enough for his school supplies, but not too big. I would anticipate that he could use this well into the later years of elementary school. Will it last that long? It just might actually. The construction is good especially considering the price. Zippers are stronger than most "kid back packs" that I've seen. I don't believe they will fail as easily. Best part is that it's very water resistant. In addition to the exterior material, it also has an inner layer which is really what makes it resistant to wet weather. The layout of the pockets is simple and functional. The outside pocket has a few standard sleeves and pockets for school related items. The shoulder straps are nicely padded and counter well to the smaller from of a child.Rustic Leather Distressed, Full Grain Leather Messenger Bag Briefcase Medium 14"
Today my Rustic Leater Distressed Messenger Briefcase arrived what a beautiful bag. It is everything I hoped for. I am a high school teacher in the Bronx and the only indulgence I go through this time of year is selecting a briefcase. I searched the net for two weeks. This is the one! It will be perfect for me and my daily materials. I love the size and it arrived two days after I purchased it from Amazon. My students are into backpacks and they love Northface. Wait until they see this leather and look at the craftsmanship I try to get them to think about teaching someday. I will tell them that they too will be able to carry around a beautiful briefcase. I expect that the tests, essays and projects they have ahead of them this year should be worthy of great grades since their work will travel home in my magnificent bag!I received my briefcase two days ago. I cannot believe how beautiful this thing is. It's absolutely stunning. I'm a physician and needed something to carry some paperwork, my 10 inch tablet and its accessories. This briefcase is the perfect size. Plus, I'm pretty sure it could stop a bullet! Thanks, I'm very happy with the purchase. Worth every dime.

First off, let me give you a little reasoning why I got the bag. I just graduated college and was looking to buy a nice looking bag that also looks rugged, because I would not want to be carrying around a bag that looks really shiny, just not my style. So, I did a little research on different rugged looking bags, and wanted to buy a bag made from U.S. leather by Americans to try to support American jobs. I emailed a few of the bag companies and asked them where there bags were made at and found this is one of the few ones that is made in the U.S. And I thought it was great that the customer service person who was emailing me back was the person who makes the bags wife.
I ordered the bag late on a Friday and it arrived on Monday morning, which was a lot faster than Amazon's prediction of me getting the bag next Monday, the shipping did cost about $20, but I think to get it here in a few days it was worth it.
I have to say it is a really nice looking bag, and it feels like it is going to hold up for years to come, I was actually trying to tug on some of the weak points and I felt no pull on them. It also holds the stuff that I will need for work, and that is my portfolio which measures 13 1/2 inches by 11 inches, and my laptop which is a 13" Macbook Pro, and still has the front pocket on the inside to hold smaller things like my laptop charger or lunch. Another thing I liked about the bag was all of the different D-rings on it, these are there to turn it into a backpack if needed, or to hook other things to it. I will do another review on this bag in a few months and tell you how it is holding up.
For the video review, turn up the volume, it recorded really low.Hands down, this is the best bag I have ever had in my life ! And, the way this bag is made, sturdy and solid, it will last multiple lifetimes !

Kemby Sidekick Diaper Bag
I tried this bag, but returned it. The idea is a great one, but there are some problems with the execution. From the pictures, it appeared that you could be wearing the bag as a messenger bag, and then to use it as a baby carrier, you would just clip a strap around your waist, secure the baby on top of the bag, and go. However, in order to convert from bag to carrier, you have to take the bag off, adjust the shoulder strap to be a waist strap, secure the bag around your waist, then unzip the new shoulder strap/carrier attachment from a separate compartment, and adjust that -very time consuming.
I tried to use the carrier for a 15 pound baby, and the weight distribution felt very uncomfortable. In addition, the bag was not very roomy, and the opening is in the front of the bag (because the baby is supposed to sit on top), making it hard to get things in and out with one hand.
I had hoped to use this bag in lieu of a bulky stroller/diaper bag when traveling through airports. However, it wasn't comfortable to walk long distances with and did not have enough capacity for the baby supplies needed for an average flight. It might work better for short trips with minimal gear, although the time spent converting from bag to carrier is still a major downside. We LOVE this product! The bag is the perfect size for a change of clothes and some diapers and wipes, and the attachable insulated pouch is perfect for a bib, spoon & jar of food (or bottle)! (I even use cloth diapers, which take up more room, and I also carry a wet-bag to carry used diapers in!) I use this bag for anything and everything trips to the grocery store or running errands. I can leave the bag strapped onto my waist while driving, which makes it even faster once I stop the car! Just grab the baby and go! I also used this carrier when my daughter was 6 months old, and we flew without Daddy, and it worked out wonderfully. Of course I needed a second bag for myself, and for a larger stash of diapers, but I made that second bag a backpack, and was still completely hands-free through the airport, to juggle IDs and plane tickets and food when we grabbed something on the go. This bag is a MUST HAVE and I am always recommending it to friends!! It's a great thing to buy for yourself, but also makes an awesome baby shower gift!! (Just make sure the mom-to-be knows it can't be used until a child is able to sit up unassisted typically around 6 months! Before that, I'd recommend a Moby Wrap or a Mei Tai!) Overall, a WONDERFUL bag/baby carrier, and worth more than they sell it for! We LOVE It!!

What did I do before the Sidekick! This bag/carrier is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! My son will not ride in a shopping cart, stroller, or backpack..he just wantsto walk, but when I need to get things done this carrier is the one thing that works. I get him out of the car and into the store in seconds!
Something about being in a position that is just like being carried he is OK with. And I like having him so close to me too!
It converts so easily from bag to carrier, it only takes about 20 seconds! I usually am using it as a carrier though cause it is so great!
I can't tell you how often people ask me about it either, it is kind of fun to have something so unique..feels kind of European in it's functionality.
Would defintely recommend getting one when your baby is a few months and get years of use out of it!
Gretchen AdamsThis was such an awesome product. When I first received this product, I thought I had to return it because it looked so small and I'm the type of person who carries everything. I started transporting everything from old bag to this one and I have room to spare! I was amazed! I have gotten so many comments!Ordered this as I thought it seemed like a genius idea. Received it before I had baby and realized that while I was trying it on, you could not get into the bag if using as a carrier. Plus the opening to the bag is really small and is a 2-handed operation to get into it. Glad I returned it as it sounded like a genius idea, but just too awkward to be able to use it for even just a diaper bag alone because the opening is so small. Seemed like great quality though!
17 inch Clock Butterfly Design Laptop Sleeve Bag Carrying Case with Hidden Handle & Adjustable Shou
I didn't realize how hard it was to find a decently priced laptop case for a 17.3" until I bought my Dell XPS. This is honestly the most beautiful case, and price, that I have found. The only reason I left it at 4 stars and not 5 is that the picture is a little misleading. The colors are actually a bit darker and more dull than what they show here, which makes it less defined and, admittedly, less "artistic". It still looks good, don't get me wrong. It fits snug around my Dell and is great for carrying my laptop to my college classes.Great case for my daughter's new laptop. I bought this as a Christmas gift and she absolutely loved it. Perfect size for the laptop. Good quality material overall. The only drawback is the smell. I'm hoping this will fade as time goes by. However, after two weeks, the new, rubbery smell is still as strong as ever.Got it for my daughter for christmas she loves it. It has plenty of room to put a notebook also. Looks exactly like the picture. It works great, my laptop fits (16.5 inch) but its a really odd material and its not very thick so it dosent protect much against bumps.I love this bag. I bought a bigger size than needed but it still works great. A little thin on the padding so I opted to add a cheap insert and it is perfect. Love the colors and lightweight feel of this bag.Gregory Mountain Products Palisade 80 Backpack
This pack is absolutely wonderful. It has space, tons of access points and is the most comfortable pack I have ever worn. There are a ton of adjustments to make the fit perfect. 80L capacity is big enough for a weeks worth of gear without becoming too bulky of a pack. If you are looking into becoming a serious packer (or if you already are) then this is the pack for you! WELL worth the money (and i know it is a lot)...Sometimes you simply pay for a name, but with this pack, you are paying for the highest quality and comfort. Read other reviews and check out other online sources...they all agree. Anyway...that is my two cents worth.I bought this pack as my last pack to hike with my last child. At 54 with 3 herniated discs I needed a pack made to fit the body correctly to eliminate undue strain or torque to the muscles and vertebrae of the back. I went to REI where the guy there told me this was the pack for me, he too has back issues. I wore it around the store for 30 minutes with 40 pounds in it and had no pain or strain. There is a Utube video on how to fit it properly and a video on the company website on how to fit this pack. So I tried to get a medium pack with large straps from REI and that failed miserably (REI is just not set up to do special orders in less time than weeks)so I ended up ordering it from Amazon at $140 less no tax and free two day shipping. I then called the company, Gregory Mountain Products who sent me the retrofit straps (my torso fit a medium pack but my gutso needed large straps) for free on the promise I return the old ones. I got the straps, retrofitted the pack and then went hiking with the Boy Scouts in the Grand Canyon on a 10 mile hike to Havasupai that includes a 2400 foot elevation gain in two miles and had absolutely no back problems. I wish I had a car that was this good. This pack fits so well and moves with you you do not feel the weight at all. It so perfectly aligns the weight on your hips, has a waist strap that allows for adjustment to fit your shape so it stays over your hips and articulates to allow for natural hip movement. It has comfortable strapping, all the room you need for your gear for two days to ten days (its 80L capacity) and extra room for common gear to support a group. It is more money than other similar sized packs without the belting/harness system but once you go Gregory you will never go cheap for the backpack again. In a word the pack and the company Rocks. this pack gave me the freedom to go into the backcountry like I did when I was a kid and enjoy it. I purchased the Palisade 80L pack in March of 2012 and I have since used it backpacking in Arizona, on a cycling trip through Ireland, hiking in Scotland, and the Camino de Santiago in Spain. This pack has proven itself time and time again for it's reliability, comfort, and durability. I originally purchased this pack for its ability to carry heavy weight without too much strain on the body. I am 5' 10", 160 lbs with a damaged shoulder and I can carry an easy 50+ lbs without any issues. Most of my trips have been loaded with 25-30 lbs plus a grocery bag of food. One thing to consider is that it is not waterproof and a rain cover should be used. Through a series of unfortunate events, my pack ended up in the Atlantic on the Irish Coast. I was able to remove the aluminum supports and drop it off at a cleaner, good as new.
I was worried about the pack being too large or too heavy but the good news is, if you need the space, you have it! If you don't, empty space never hurt anyone. I would highly recommend this pack and I look forward to many more years of use.

This is a comfortable backpack that rides well. It's roomy and easy to adjust. The only downside for me is that it lacks small outside packets. Otherwise great pack!Saddleback Leather Classic Briefcase, Chestnut
I purchased one of these cases directly from the company about 2 years ago, and have used it daily ever since. I am hard on briefcases, often over-filling them, but this one has withstood everything. I travel internationally as well as in the USA this bag has been around the world with me, and often generates appreciative comments. When I originally bought it, I had been looking for a solid bag that had the older, academic look of the flapover briefcase. Every other case that that I found had snaps, clips, or other hardware that would have broken within a year under my usage. This case has real hardware that will last and has lasted. Picking a color was hard, but I finally settled on the Chestnut, and haven't regretted it.
This case has full-grain leather, with rivets, and belt-type buckles. When I had problems with one of the buckles on my case I contacted Saddleback Leather and they replaced the buckle and strap for free. I wasn't absolutely sure that it wasn't my fault, rather than a material failure. But they stood behind their product without questioning.
The handle is large, and comfortable. I use the D-rings to clip things to (USB drives, keys, etc)and then let them drape inside the bag, beneath the flap. I also have a black nylon strap (actually, a nylon collar for a dog!) that goes through the circular ring on top, which I use to attach the briefcase to my roller bag when I fly.
I've found this briefcase to be flexible, durable, good looking, and reliable. This briefcase it one of only a handful of items that I have ever purchased which is actually better than advertised. I would definitely recommend it and would buy again. In fact, I may actually buy a second one at some point...I have two children but only one briefcase right now, and I wouldn't want to cause a fight in 40 years or so. ;)I needed a new wallet and saw Saddleback on here, checked out the other goods they sold and found this briefcase. I have been looking for a leather briefcase like this for a long while, and finally found it!! I got it last week and used it yesterday to carry all the items I needed for a trial. The large is pretty big (which is exactly what I needed). It holds my 17 inch Apple MB Pro with a ton of space for whatever else you may need to put in a briefcase.
It is a sight to see! Soo beautifully made, leather is unreal and smells like you are sitting in a new car! Cant say enough about this bag! Check out their website when you get a chance, it is amusing and shows you why these products are more expensive than the other crappy leather goods out there. I can really see this bag lasting for 100 years!!

Honestly, I have to say that from the time of placing my order to receiving my bag (only 4 days later) has been one of the most satisfactory experiences I have had when ordering a product online. I purchased this bag as a college graduation gift for myself, and I am so happy I did. I was looking for a bag that was not only stylish, but that would also be durable enough to take an everyday beating. The price may seem a bit hefty, but I think this bag, combined with the company's awesome service, has been worth every penny. I fully expect this bag to keep up with the demands of my very active lifestyle as a graduate student and young professional. For some specifics, the bag does indeed have a TON of room inside, plenty of room for notebooks,a textbook, laptop, charger, lunch, and a newspaper or two. The bag has been a bit stiff (as is expected of any thick-grade leather) but I fully expect it to become more supple with use. It's nice to have an accessory that is both completely user friendly, and gets better looking with use. Also, all the straps come with plenty of punched holes for full personalization, depending on how you want to wear the bag. I'd like to also add that the backpack function is really neat as well. Also, no worrying about cheap stitching as with other brands of all-leather bags. This bag uses metal rivet-like anchors and is VERY sturdy.
All in all, this bag is totally worth the investment. If you're looking for a cheap waste of money, look elsewhere. This bag is top quality, and is rightly priced as such. If you're on the fence, just do some research as I did. No matter where I looked I kept coming back to Saddleback. I'm sure you will too.

This is the best bag I have ever owned and I have had more than a few. I have owned bags from Louis Vitton, Armani, Brioni, Zegna and several other "High Quality" Italian leather makers. This bag is cheap compared to all of those and is worth every penny. Its not only beautiful but it is as tough as they come, they are very serious about the 100 year warranty and I doubt that I would ever have to use it. I wonder if anyone really has had to use the warranty. I travel extensively and have been in some pretty harsh environments and have put this bag through pure hell and it has never faltered. If it gets scratched up, it doesnt matter because they disappear with some leather conditioner and a buffing cloth in minutes. I like the scratches on mine, I think it gives it more of a personality. I constantly have people from all over the world coming up to me asking where I got my bag and giving me nonstop compliments on it. The story of Saddleback is quite interesting and a lot of fun to read about, you should check it out. If you want the absolute best leather briefcase, messenger bag, luggage or accessories, you have found it!!!!PS...Do not order one of these from Ebay, its almost guaranteed to be fake! I have seen one a friend bought from there. Hope this review has helped.

This review is for the medium classic briefcase in chestnut, which I received as a gift recently. I had been eyeballing the Saddleback briefcase for 2 or 3 years so I have done a lot of thinking, comparison shopping, reading of reviews, and examining them first hand when I saw one out and about. Also, as I mention in another comment here, I am a leather craftsman (belts and holsters mostly) so I know a thing or two about leather indeed, I'm a bit obsessed with it.The Saddleback is replacing a soft-side leather briefcase made by Samsonite that I bought in 1993. It has served me well, but is a bit on the small side for my needs and is suffering from the very problems that the Saddleback company is trying to avoid: cheap components and construction that make the bag wear out before it should. The Samsonite I have used cost me $100 and was made with some nice soft leather. The leather has held up wonderfully over the years especially since I treated it every year or so with some Lexol conditioner. The shoulder strap was the first part to go. It was made with two pieces of leather strap that met in the middle and was sewn onto the shoulder pad. Seams are the Achilles heel for a leather product and this was the fatal flaw for the strap. Because the shoulder strap wasn't a single piece all the way from end-to-end, it began the seams began to pull apart after a few years. Then the backing on the shoulder pad began to crack and come apart. It was then I confirmed what I had suspected and lamented; the bag was made of nice leather, but the trim was made with inferior vinyl. Your leather product is only as good as the weakest materials in it, so why would a company make a very nice leather bag with cheap and far less durable vinyl? I made a replacement strap and it has held up just fine. Next, the trim along the seams began to crack and fail. It was also vinyl. The lining started to go next, as it was a cotton fabric. The hardware has held up reasonably well, but was obviously on the way to failure.
I give this description to point out the benefit of the Saddleback briefcase. It has heavy-duty hardware, is made with nothing but leather, and all the stress points are reinforced. If my $100 Samsonite has lasted me almost 20 years, certainly the Saddleback will last me a lifetime. The seams are stitched with heavy thread, double and triple stitched at major stress points, rivets are added, and many areas subject to stretching have a synthetic nylon strip sewn in to help keep the leather from stretching too much. The fasteners are simple buckles with no springs to break or wear out. It's a rugged bag made for heavy use. If you are just looking for a bag to lug around heavy items (I'm a college professor and I regularly carry around my laptop and many books), this will do it. If you plan to use it for carrying a folder or two back and forth to the office, this may not be the best bag for you. Rather, you may want to consider the thin briefcase made by Saddleback or one of their satchels. This bag can be converted into a backpack, and although it's unlikely I will use this feature, it's a nice option to have just in case.
Lets talk about the biggest complaint I've read here and elsewhere: it's heavy. Yes, it's a bit on the heavy side. It's a big briefcase made of thick full-grain cowhide leather with a smooth pigskin lining and heavy-duty hardware. That's heavy stuff. I don't particularly mind it because I am used to carrying a heavy briefcase. However, if you are accustomed to carrying a nylon bag or thin leather bag, this will be quite an adjustment for you.
Next complaint I commonly see is that it's stiff. Yes, it's a bit stiff when new. High-quality full-grain leather is stiff when it's new. This is not garment leather like on a leather jacket or a sofa. For those familiar with the process of breaking in a new baseball glove or shoes, this bag is no different. It's much more rigid when new, but with time and use, it will soften and loosen up. It takes time, which for me is part of the allure of a nice leather bag. I love the experience of watching it break-in over time.
As far as size goes, I think the large bag is probably the best choice for most people. I received the medium bag and it's almost too small for me. I carry a 13" MacBook Pro in a neoprene sleeve and it's a tight fit into the bag from side to side. This may be related to the bag being new and will ease up as the bag breaks in a bit. It's not so tight that it's going to damage the computer, but it's a little more snug than I am used to (kind of like trying on new shoes after wearing your trustee broken in pair). If you have an average size laptop, it is very unlikely you will be able to fit it into a medium bag. Front-to-back there is plenty of room in the bag for my laptop, cords, accessories, books, papers, etc. If you need a little extra space for small items, you may want to consider the pouch Saddleback makes and the owner clips onto the front of his briefcase. Being a leather worker, I made myself a shameless copy of their pouch (pouches are much easier to make than fancy briefcases) and I use it to carry my keys, my phone, a pocket knife, pens, etc. I also regularly slip my iPad into the pocket on the back (in a leather sleeve I made for it) and it works fine. I considered trading my medium in for a large, but when it came time to box it up and send it back, I just couldn't do it since it was a gift from my wife and I am sentimental like that.
And that brings me to my next point, which is Saddleback's customer service. I found them to be extremely friendly and efficient. The company is based in Texas, but as of the time of this writing, they have employees all over the US who work remotely. I tell this to demonstrate how well they can deal with customer issues. Over the course of a few days, I communicate with 4 different people in 4 different states, but my emails were answered quickly and each person appeared to be up-to-speed on the previous communications. I had contacted Saddleback a few times in the past to ask questions about their products and I was always answered quickly with no pressure to buy their products. The company claims to have a 100 year warranty, and from experiences I have read on the Internet (surely they are all true because you can't put anything on the web that isn't true), they do stand behind their products when there is a problem. As far as a return policy, it appears that for warranty issues, they cover the shipping costs. If you want to do an exchange as in my case, all shipping costs are yours. They will issue a return authorization, and all returns must be in as-new condition. They will then credit you for the cost of the return and you place an order for a new item.
Another question I have seen on these bags is about where they are made. My investigation has led me to think that the bags are made in Mexico and are not hand-crafted one at a time by the company's owner. Take that info for whatever it's worth. It's a big deal for some, not so much for others. Although I'd have preferred it to be 100% made in the USA, it's still an American-owned small business with American employees. Also, Mexican leather is known to be some of the better quality stuff on the market. The quality of the leather and craftsmanship appears to be good. The bag looks to be machine stitched with a lock-stitch machine which is typical and relatively durable. Saddle-stitching is better, but can only be accomplished by hand and is very time consuming (and would increase the cost of the bag substantially).
Now, cost. As a guy who knows leather and works in leather, do I think the cost is justified? In this case, yes. I contemplated just making a bag for myself, but upon inspecting one of these first-hand, I knew how much work it would require. I knew that I didn't have the patience or the experience with this type of work to pull off a finished product like this. For a small guy like me, I suspect the materials would run me somewhere in the range of $100 $150 and the time to make it would be several hours. Quality stuff isn't cheap and such is the case with the Saddleback bag.
Finally, I'll speak to the style of the bag. This is not a metropolitan or high-fashion sort of bag. It's a rugged looking, earthy, business casual bag. If you wear khaki pants or jeans to work, this is likely to be your style. If you wear finely tailored suits and wingtip shoes, the classic briefcase may not be your style (but the thin briefcase may be). In the short time I've owned it, I have gotten several compliments on the look and the smell; the smell of the leather is wonderful. I picture myself as Pigpen on Peanuts, but instead of a cloud of dust following me around, I'm cloaked in the smell of leather. :-)
Overall, I'm very pleased with my Saddleback briefcase. Also, if you haven't taken a look at the company's website, it's a great resource for Saddleback products that includes high-def video descriptions of most items.
Mobile Edge SecurePack - 17.3"
I was desperate to replace my existing notebook bag, a solidly-made but very heavy briefcase with a strap that cut painfully into my shoulder. Although I knew that a backpack was a better solution than a briefcase, I wasn't terribly impressed with what my local Staples and Best Buy had to offer; their backpacks seemed overpriced and poorly designed. Then I saw the Mobile Edge SecurePack in a PC WORLD print ad. What a lucky break! Although my local stores didn't carry it, I was able to get it through Amazon.com marketplace.
It's rare to find a product that fills a need as elegantly and beautifully as the Secure Pack does.
The elegance is in the way the Secure Pack prevents access to the laptop it contains WITHOUT locks or cables. The backpack can't be opened until it's taken off take it off, then simply reverse the straps over the rear of the pack and unzip it. The "lid" (actually the back) of the pack fans open to about 60 degrees, held open that limited amount by a nylon gusset web on either side. This prevents the laptop sleeve, which is directly attached to the inside of the back/lid, from slamming hard against the ground.
Inside the pack, in addition to the main compartment, there are the laptop sleeve and a second compartment piggybacked together and fanning out to 60 degrees with the same kind of side-gusset webs as the lid/back. The second compartment has a generously-sized, zippered mesh pocket inside, and loops, sleeves, and a small Velcro-flapped pocket outside the better to contain pens, pencils, pads, and other stationery, documents, and extras. The main compartment contains for cable storage two nylon-and-mesh zippered bags (each about the size of a small shaving kit!) with Velcro hook strips on their bottoms; they stick securely to the Velcro loop surface of the main compartment, but are easily detached when needed. In fact, the cable bags are so roomy that I store my webcam and its accessories in one bag, and my laptop power cables, still-camera-battery charger and camera-PC USB connector in the other. With my laptop, a laptop cooling pad, & all those cables stored in the backpack, I STILL have room to shove in a couple of heavy textbooks & zip the pack shut easily!
The SecurePack has two nice extra touches: the CD player pocket (with zipper closure hidden by a forked flap that is in turn held closed by two quick-release buckles along the straps) and the carrying handle that is perfectly set within the yoke of the pack straps (nicely balanced for off-the-shoulders carrying).
All these features, however, mean nothing if the backpack is too uncomfortable to wear for an extended time. After having worn the SecurePack fully loaded for several hours on several occasions, I can confidently say it is the best-balanced backpack I've ever worn: not the best-balanced computer backpack, but simply the BEST-BALANCED backpack of ANY type I've ever used. I don't know how its designers did it, but the fully-loaded SecurePack feels feather-light on my back; all the weight of the load balances beautifully on my hips and doesn't drag me down.
The SecurePack is not a quick-access or compact computer bag, but its name and features make that clear. It is a theft-proof, damage-proof laptop bag at a good price.
To sum up, the SecurePack is a beautifully designed product that fills a long-felt need: how to carry a laptop computer and accessories safely, securely, and without back or shoulder injury. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!I really liked the look of this bag. I had been searching for a nice big bag for my 17" laptop. I saw this bag and liked the look. Thought the feature of not being able to open whill on the back was smart. However, I'm a college student and you don't have room for books when the laptop is in the bag. You barely have room without the laptop. It has a rounded bottom which is not condusive to carrying books. It is akward to get into from the back of the bag. Going from class to class, I have to get in and out of my bag all the time. It was too cumbersome with this bag. Really nice looking big bag though. If all you want is to carry your laptop and a few files this might work. Anything more is just doesn't work. Didn't want to return it. Good looking bag nice and big but not very functional

Okay, this was larger than I thought it would be, so I'm having some qualms about bringing this on the plane, since I usually put my bag under the seat in front of me. I'm a short girl, so this bag pretty much conceals my entire back. But I LOVE it nonetheless. It's sturdy, and actually has a lot of space to carry more than the laptop, my wireless mouse, and the adapter. I'm particularly in love with the fact that you can walk around with this bag and not be afraid that someone's already digging into your things.Read Best Reviews of Mobile Edge SecurePack - 17.3" Here
Great backpack if you're worried about protection. It even fits my monstrous 10 pounder laptop too.
the problem i have with it is that it is actually a little bigger than i thought it was going to be.
Part of the reason for this i believe is because it has a stiff ridge around it
which protects the laptop from minor bumps, but it makes the bag kindof wide.
Also despite it's medium/large-ish appearance, it really cannot hold much extra if my laptop, charger, and mouse are in there already
(given my charger is about the size of a brick).
It really won't hold much more than a 1 inch binder with all my other stuff.
Still, it's a nice bag if you don't need to carry 50 lbs of books, or whathaveyou.I bought this backpack to carry my laptop and a few other items (folders, pens, portable disk, etc.) on my commute to work. I often ride in on my motorcycle, and I wanted a backpack that would be comfortable, secure and protect my laptop. The SecurePack is perfect and meets my needs completely. It's not the largest backpack, and once the laptop, miscellaneous items and my dress pants are in it, it's pretty full. But I can fit everything I need and know it's safe and secure. Construction is also very high quality, and the waist belt keeps the pack nice and secure at highway speeds. I definately recommend the SecurePack for anyone looking for a safe, secure, comfortable laptop backpack.
Hello Kitty Mini Backpack Sanrio
At first I was disappointed because it is small. However, it is in fact the perfect size for my 2 year old granddaughter. She was thrilled to get it for her birthday. It appears to be very sturdy and it holds enough for her to carry comfortably. This was a gift for my 2-1/2 year old granddaughter. She was totally delighted, and so was I. The pack was small enough for her to wear, but large enough for her to carry a few toys or other items. I was pleased with the construction, including the zippers. Looks like she'll enjoy this for a while.Maxpedition . Sitka . Khaki
This is one great bag! Maxpedition products are built to last. Whether you are trekking through forest or walking across town this is a great bag. A 15" laptop will fit into the main compartment. It is tight but it will fit. Pockets are well placed and easy to access. The hydration pocket it great for those long hikes or can be used for more storage. I really like the single shoulder strap and the way you can swing the bag around to access the pockets without having to remove the bag. If your use is more on the tactical side then this bag is the one to get. The hydration pocket also doubles for ccw pocket. Molle attachments on the front and again quick access to the pockets without having to remove the bag.I purchased this pack as a daily "man purse" let's be real here. I was carrying a day pack backpack, but that was too big and all my gear was thrown in one or two pouches. I've owned A Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack and the Monsoon. The Versipack WAS a purse in a tacti-cool color and the Monsoon was too big for what I needed. The Sitka is just right for carrying my netbook and all accessories. I often work in remote places and need my gear at hand at a moments notice. I can carry my computer, small camera, iPod, gloves, Leatherman, flashlight, spare ammo, water, etc. etc. I've also added a couple of small pouches to the pack for the camera and other small gear. There's not a lot of PALS webbing on the Sitka, but it gets the job done. I added a medium Tactile to the front and the Anemone to the side for the camera and phones.Great bag, sling action works great, very well constructed. This bag it not at all a let down, only draw bag are it's high price and the place mention of loops are not very compatible with adding MOLLE to it.Swissgear Laptop Backpack with More Function See Below.(black and Red).
I bought one of these a year ago at Sam's Club for my youngest son because he liked the color. I thought it was a bit of overkill since he's in elementary school, but the price wasn't bad. This backpack performed so well that I happily shelled out to buy another one for my older son. I have them hanging next to each other right now and from where I sit, if I didn't know which was which, I wouldn't be able to tell you which was the new one and which was a year old.As you would expect from a "Swiss Army" backpack, there are lots of extras. Interior zippered pockets, padded laptop storage area, ipod pocket with headphone hatch, detachable keychain, mesh pockets on the sides for water bottles. Definitely a thumbs up on this one!
Tumi Alpha Bravo Lejeune Backpack Tote
Picked one of these bad boys up for a October trip to Munich. I couldn't be happier. The quality is second to none and I love the attention to detail. This is my first Tumi bag and coming from a family of people who swear by them, I was very excited. I have not been disappointed. Everything here is made to last. Metal clips and straps everywhere! Quietly a big bag, you can fit way more in here them you might think! Tons of storage containers and zippered compartments. All in all the the extra money is a lot but it's worth it.Better than expected quality. Lots of space and pockets. Great design & colors. Everyone should have a Tumi. Clik Elite Probody Sport Camera Backpack
Backpack is unreal. I have had it for just over two months now and have used it primarily as a hiking day pack.Camera bay has room for a full size SLR (lens attached with a hood), batteries, filters and other small items and two spaces for lenses (large super-telephoto lenses may have some trouble fitting) or a flash. It holds everything very securely and nothing bounces around. Padded areas can be moved around as well and the entire compartment can be zipped out and the backpack can be made in to a regular hiking bag. Tripod carry is a little small... but I can see the same compartment doubling as an external shovel storage really well (spade removed) for the winter.
Top (main) compartment has room for a light jacket or sweater (rolled), water bottle, food and a few other small items. Not huge but as big as it needs to be to carry any essential items on a short hike.
Side pocket is pretty small and can't hold much... keys, batteries, SD cards. I don't really use it too much but I also haven't ever thought, "This backpack is great but I really wish this side pocket was bigger".
Top pocket holds licence, credit cards, etc. I would describe it as small sunglasses sized. Holds what I need it to.
Outer pocket holds a water bottle securely.
Backpack is extremely comfortable. Straps are amazing. Sits perfectly once it is on and requires little readjustment as you hike. Space for a bladder, though I don't use one, is a nice option. Had to use the rain cover once and it worked well... seems quality (though I was by no means walking in a monsoon).
Overall... best backpack I have owned. Low profile, compact and well designed; holds everything you need it to with no extra space. Buy it if you are looking for a good technical day pack that also holds your SLR. Looking forward to taking it out in the winter. Strikes me as an easy bag to ski/ride with.
Hope that helps.
Cheers.I spent about a week comparing bags online trying to find the perfect one. I was looking for something to hold at least my 3 lenses ( 50mm, 10-22mm & 28-135mm ), my body ( 60d ), have a separate section for other things and have a place for a water reservoir. The problem with almost all the bags I looked at was that it was painfully apparent that they were designed to hold cameras and everything else seemed to be an afterthought. (Including comfort)
Fortunately the pro ( and compact ) sport break this mold. I originally bought both the compact and the pro models, but ended up returning the compact because everything fit a bit too tightly for my taste. The Pro Sport is really comfy, and has tons of room for gear. ( I could easily fit another telephoto + prime + flash on top of my current gear ) The lenses and camera are well protected and the amount of non camera space available is more than enough to fit snacks, a couple kindles and even some cold weather gear. If you're looking for a bag that is perfect for a long day excursion, you'd be hard pressed to do better than the Clik Elite Probody sport.
Update:
On a recent ski trip the buckle for the waist strap got shut in a car door and broke. I contacted customer support and they sent me a new buckle for free!

Pros:1) Very well built. Material, zippers, padding are of the best quality.
2) Rain cover is useful
3) Holds Canon SLR w/ 24-70 mm lens attached, flash and extra 17-55 mm lens
4) The best shoulder straps I ever had. Backpack was very comfortable even after a few hours of walk.
5) Padding in the camera compartment was sufficient to protect the equipment.
6) Second compartment is not big but can easily hold a light rain jacket.
Cons:
1) Except for one small compartment on the top, there is nothing to keep small items, such as wallet, iPod, pen, etc. That's quite disappointing as I was planning to have a combination of a daily pack and a photo backpack.
2) Open side mesh pocket is not suitable for water bottle, as it is way to small to hold anything but a map. This is a big minus for me, as I'm not using water bladder.
3) Mesh pocket on the front is pretty much useless, as it's too small to hold something big and too loose to hold something small.
Other thoughts:
I would prefer mesh pockets on the waist belt.
Although I did appreciate quality and ergonomics, I had to return the backpack as I was looking for more "daily pack features" than CE708 has. I would highly recommend this backpack to anyone looking for something to carry camera gear.

in the little time that i've had this pack i've put it through quite a bit of torture. it's held my D7000, lens, sd card case, bladder, hunting supplies, radio/gps, and i still had room. it's been pulled through thick brush and up through trees while hunting. great comfort from the back and straps.I spent a while researching various sport oriented camera backpacks and i kept coming back to this one. It has all the features i need for my uses (mainly mountain biking) such as, a separate bladder compartment, enough space for various tools, pump, and a well padded camera compartment. However once i received the backpack, i soon realized the camera compartment in my opinion does not have enough padding. Specifically the flap that gains access to your camera. With my 60D mounted to a 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM Lens, and a Flash and 50mm F/1.8 in the other pockets it is a very tight fit and i believe my body is vulnerable to damage from any bumps, because LCD and eyepiece is bulging the flap out. For a bag that is advertised to fit pro-bodies i think they could have made the camera area bigger and added more padding. Besides that it is a okay backpack, it is comfortable and does what i need it to.
