I love this backpack. It is a nice size, about 10" wide and 15" high. The main pocket expands inside to about 4"-5" inches deep. I ordered the Sangria color, it's a beautiful muted red/wine color. The backpack is feminine looking, light weight, and lightly padded if you want to carry an e-reader or tablet inside (I would still use a separate case for those electronics if the bag were dropped, I don't think it would provide enough cushioning to protect electronics). The padded straps are comfortable on the shoulders. There is no leather, it's all fabric and I think it will be water repellent though their website does not specifically say so. I do not know why there aren't more photos of this product here. The interior has one large pocket on inside front and another on the inside back one of these pockets has a zipper. There are also four credit-card slots inside, two pen-holders, and one narrow pocket that looks like it was designed for an older style cell phone. The outside pocket you see with the zipper facing is rather small, would hold a small paperback book, but I don't put anything expensive in there, it's too easy for someone in a crowded area to grab and take something out. I am not crazy about the silly zipper pull, it just hangs there serving no real function, and I might remove it because the zipper is easy enough to operate without it. And finally, there's a small pocket on the very top of the backpack, perfect for smart phone or a few cosmetics. I would have ordered the very pretty purple colored pack if it were an option. It is shown in some of the company advertisements, but not a purchase option. Overall, a really adorable bag and a reasonable price.

When first seeing the backpack I could not believe how small it really is. It is flat and can hardly fit anything inside. It did have room for my tablet, but that's about all. I would not recommend this product to anyone who is looking to use it for more than just a tablet. If that is all you are looking for than I do recommend it because it is cute and attractive.

I got this so I could be hands free on outings with my 2 year old. I received a Sherpani wallet as a gift and LOVED it. I like the backpack a lot. It's smaller than I thought, but that being said, it can fit everything I need including an extra diaper, and my kiddos snack and juice cups. I've only had it a few days, but the quality is excellent. It's really more of a purse than a backpack. I love the color (I got the grey one) and the design. If I had to do it all over again I would definitely buy it again.

Dakine Laptop Sleeve

I ordered this Sleeve for my MacBook Pro 17 (Early 2011). The sleeve fits perfectly in width,but there is about an inch of play in the shorter length dimension.

This sleeve has plenty of padding across the top and bottom, yet like many sleeves lacks real padding on the edges. I need a sleeve to slip inside my Osprey Momentum 34-Litre Commuter Pack backpack that will protect the edges of my MBP.

Therefore this sleeve is not going to work for me. I am going to try the Brenthaven ProStyle Hardcase III (13 ich version -> Brenthaven Prostyle Hardshell I for Macbook 13-Inch (2123101)). Sadly. when I upsized the one inch in width from the 15" MBP my selection of stylish cases and sleeves drastically reduced. (I would rather not have a boxy bag that screams steal me, I'm a laptop bag)

I ordered the large in citron, it is the exact color showing, and fits my 15" laptop perfect. Enough room to store some extra papers or anything flat in there, but not enough for the computer to move around or store cables.

I really like this case. I ordered it with standard shipping and recieved it in two days which was fantastic. The case is great for me. The only thing negative I would say about this is that the sizing when ordering is a little bit confusing. Also, I ordered the 'Devin Checks' and in the picture it showed the case to be gray, blue, and white. The case I recieved is teal, pale yellow, and different shades of gray. This doesn't really bother me because I like the colors I got even better than what was on the picture. However, be careful if you really have your heart set on what it looks like online. Overall great value, and great service.

Kensington Notebook Roller, Water Resistant Packet, 14-1/2 X 9-1/2 X 19-1/2 Inches, Black (KMW6290

This is the notebook case I've been waiting for! I make frequent international trips and, until now, I've tried stuffing a few critical carry-on items into my regular laptop case. That amounted to little more than a toothbrush. The Kensington Contour case is "real" overnight bag, built around my notebook. Large enough for my 17 inch screen, it has room to spare for all of my essentials and a change of clothing. After filling it to capacity, it remains amazingly compact. It wheels easily through narrow airplane isles and fits neatly into the overhead compartment. The only negative comment I would make is that the handle is uncomfortable between the fingers after wheeling it through the airport. If the padding was a little better it would have earned a 5 star rating.

I travel some in the US and recently have had the "opportunity" to travel over most of Africa and the Middle East. This bag is an ideal carry-on size (I don't get in trouble with even the most restrictive airlines), will keep a 17" laptop safe and sound and has plenty of room to pack a couple nights worth of clothing and all the gear to go with the laptop.

-Handle makes it comfortable to carry if required, stands up well to abuse.

-Tough ballistic fabric, all the major pouches have double zipper pulls to make them easy to lock and are easily locked with the standard TSA-accepted locks.

-The removable laptop sleeve comes out easily and provides extra protection for the laptop when it's under the seat in front of you. -Convenient pouches for pens, cards and the like.

The only issue I have had is that the "tow handle" occasionally will not deploy all the way. This is remedied by simply putting it all the way back down and then re-extending it. Happens about 1/15 times.

Recommended, especially if you travel with a 17" monster.

I bought the bag about a couple of months ago. I thought the bag was perfect at first, being able to fit my laptop and some personals. I then started to notice that my zippers were disappearing. The first happened within a week and then another disappeared after a month. If you like breaking a nail trying to unzip your bag then this is the case for you. They do offer a warranty to fix the bag but you should not be use the warranty within the first two months. Just something to think about before you buy.

Aside from that the bag is great. The bag is pretty stable and holds a lot of items. The bag unlike the zipper so far is pretty durable. There is a bag on the underside that is a lifesaver. I've been able to put a small case of CD-R's(25), playing cards, a couple of external HD's and some cables. The pockets on the front works well with folders, pens, a laptop (obviously), mp3 player and a lot of other things you may need on the road.

I understand that if someone doesn't like one thing about an item they will destroy it on the ratings. I really, really don't like the zipper situation, and if I lose anymore then I will probably destroy the bag but until then I will enjoy this zipper-less bag.

The padded compartment for a laptop, plus intelligently laid out compartments for files, overnight of clothing, etc and quality construction make this the best wheel-on I've ever had. Stashing the laptop within allows you an additional carry-on on flights limiting you to two pieces, one of luggage, one of "personal item". And even fully stuffed it fits into the overhead compartment.

Timbuk2 Spin Messenger Bag

One. Tough. Bag. This bag is built stronger than some items I was issued for combat. The material appears to be cordura, and the seams are all double-stitched. The things I really like about the bag are the capacity (will hold 15.6 inch HP laptop no problem, plus still have 2/3 of the bag left for other gear), the little front pocket with a key holder-clip and cord, and the sturdy velcro closure (wide and tough). This is my first Timbuk2 bag. I have the black medium bag, and it's great for the gym or as a school or study bag. I think you could use this as a carry-on for flights as well. The strap has a good sliding shoulder pad and has a quick-clip to enable someone to shorten the strap with a single alligator clip or extend it in just a second. I like the bag it's tough, and obviously someone took a lot of time and care in getting the little useful details built into the design. Way to go Timbuk2, you have a new customer.

I am a very big fan of Timbuk2 and have several of their bags. The Spin Messenger is meant to be a simplified version of their classic messenger bag. And it is. There's only one zippered pocket on the outer section of the bag and a few inner pockets for small items. Really, though, the Spin is all about the main compartment. The divider allows you to throw in a small laptop or tablet as long as you use a padded sleeve with it and the main compartment is fairly spacious. It's definitely meant to hold less volume than Timbuk2's classic messenger. The shoulder strap is also simpler in design than the classic messenger and the flap uses velcro to stay closed. The overall feel of the Spin is that of a no frills, bare bones messenger with the usual Timbuk2 quality. If that's what you're looking for, the Spin will be a great fit. Keep in mind, however, that it's not much cheaper than the classic messenger bag, depending on the size. And the classic Timbuk2 messenger is an amazing messenger bag in its own right.

Just received this product and really like it. I travel with my 15" laptop and this bag affords me room behind the main part of the bag for a safe place to store the laptop. Truthfully, I could take my 17" laptop in this bag too because laptop space is large enough to accommodate it. Meanwhile the larger section of the bag is good for my Kindle, paper notebooks, presentation folders etc.

Or that larger space can be used to hold a sweater or a lightweight jacket in addition to any other stuff that I need when on the road. I like the zipper compartment with the strap and snap hook for keys. Plus there are pockets for pens, phones of any type etc. I always carry extra contacts and glasses and there is enough space to hold them too.

Nice padded shoulder strap. I've already tossed the bag that I previously used for this purpose as this Timbuktu bag is lightweight and has more functionality.

This is a niftly little laptop bag. The great thing about it is that it weighs almost nothing which is perfect because you don't want to add any more weight when carrying your laptop around town. Baggallini Luggage Geneva Quilted Cross-Body Bag

I love this bag. The strap is very long which I like so the purse actually hangs at my hip rather than my waist. Very well constructed, the quality of the bag itself is fantastic. This is not only a very good small purse to travel with, it is a great everyday purse.

I like this design, but the price is far too high. I wouldn't mind that so much, if it reliably did the job I got it for, which is to hold a 50-50 solution of isopropyl alcohol and vinegar. But I quickly discovered that if I don't screw the cap on REALLY tight, using a firm double grip, it leaks. For my particular purpose (lavaging my ears with a Q-tip after I shower to ward off otherwise inevitable ear infections) I can't use the (otherwise excellently-designed) no-drip flip cap because it squeezes the Q-tip too dry.

Isopropyl/vinegar has a slightly lower viscosity than water, so it's a test of anything's leakproof-ness, but it's a test a bottle this expensive should pass.

Brought this bag on a trip to Costa Rica and it was great for white water rafting, waterfall climbing, cave exploring, and just going to the beach. Contents stayed dry through pretty much anything. You have to buy an additional shoulder strap to attach on your own since the bag has attachments for a shoulder strap, it would be nice if the bag included the shoulder strap. That's my only complaint though otherwise, would highly recommend this bag for anyone going on water activities.

Skooba Design Cable Stable Mini

I have to say, this little organizer has changed my life. I first bought the Skooba R750-300 Cable Stable DLX (Black) and soon had it filled with cords and chargers for my smart phone, my mp3 players, my computer and my Kindle, so I ordered this as a back up. They're a little pricey, but well worth it because of the internal features like elastic holders and zippered pockets. If you're considering this one, take a look at Skooba Cable Stable Combo Pack (750-350) to get both sizes. I use these things all the time and now have the DLX for phone and computer stuff and the Mini for MP3 things. I bought the AmazonBasics Universal Travel Case for Small Electronics and Accessories (Black) to use with my Kindle because the Kindle Fire does NOT work well with the Skooba Mini. With all three, I now have dedicated "clutter fixers" for all my small electronics and when I travel, I can simply unzip and send them through the TSA screener with my laptop! Highly recommended for those who, like me, have too many cords and not enough time.

I have been looking for something to help me clean up the wires in my laptop bag for some time. My AC adapter came in a nylon zipper bag, but it doesn't offer much organization. This seems to fit my needs for all of the random cables that I need to carry. USB, iPod, headphones, a Kensington lock, etc. There is not enough room for my AC adapter, but I find that I like two smaller cable bags than one large one. Two smaller bags make better use of the nooks and crannies in my laptop bag, where a large one would just take up space in the main compartment.

I bought this bag over a year ago, and at first, I loved it. The cable stable and the mini are great for organizing your cordage, but they both take up a large amount of space in my carry on, which is just not practical for me. I ended up loading the cords in this that I don't use all the time and throwing the whole bag in my checked luggage. If you have cordage to carry that you wont be needing at the airport, then this is a great carry case, however, if you need access to your charge cables and whatnot, then this is not the best product for you.

I still use this in my checked luggage to this day to carry the cables and associated hardware that I need to charge my second laptop while on the road. I think it is very well built out of sturdy materials and will last a long time. The Skooba case also gets brownie points for organization and a quick reference to assure that you've got all your E-gear in the bag.

All told, I find the case attractive and it does the job of organizing, but the bottom line is: If you travel three or more times a month, then you might consider a different storage alternative for your carry on cordage.

My preferred method is Vaultz Nylon mesh zipper bags. they take up a quarter of the space and I can see what's inside without having to get them out of my bag and open them up.

Ok, I bought this case and the Amazonbasics Universal travel case for small electronics. Having received and compared both, I can say that while both are nice, I like this one better. First, the softer shell of this case makes it easier to squeeze into bags. Second, this case has better holders. Finally, this case just feels better in your hands and I was able to put more in it, despite the fact that the Amazonbasics case is a little thicker.

I have had 5 of these bags and I absolutely love them. The first one I got was years ago and I finally had to retire it completely because I snagged it and ripped it beyond repair. I bought this bag to use on a vacation where I would be on foot for a few days in downtown Vancouver BC. The materials make it lightweight, basically waterproof and very well made. I could see this bag lasting a very long time.

The bag is compact enough to easily set next to you when eating lunch and since it is essentially made of rubber it is very easy to clean.

I was able to comfortably store a camera, my Nexus 7 tablet, cell phone, a bottle of water and still had space for small purchases made throughout the day. It has a large front flap on the front and I've had bags where that annoyed me in the past but it didn't bother me here. I barely noticed it it was very easy to get in the bag, grab my camera, snap a few photos, and toss it back in.

The strap is very comfortable on your shoulder as well that fact that is was made from a recycled seat belt strap probably has something to do with that!

I liked the bag so much that I now use it everyday at work and would gladly purchase other products from Alchemy Goods again.

Alchemy Good's Haversack Is A very very cool option for those who would like a messenger-esque bag or something a little smaller.

As always the bag features Alchemy Goods superb innertube shell, and a large overflap that is waterproof, yes I really mean waterproof,

I have walked in a torrential downpour in NYC for 15 blocks with work documents/Nook Tablet/Galaxy Note in my bag and not a single drop of water got on ANYTHING.

I really love how the bag has great depth so it can store a ton of stuff, like a tablet, camera, and bottle of water.

The additional inner zip pocket under the flap is well protected from the elements and can hold a whole 7 inch tablet,umbrella, etc

The elongated shape is unique and makes for a totally different fashion piece, and the piping accent tone is a nice touch.

The haversack is super light and the design of the bag rests comfortably against your lower back even when laden.

This is another bag my girlfriend has stolen and basically kept as her purse, she loves how good it looks and how much it can store.

You'll get a lot of wear out of this bag, as the innertubes hold up to quite the beating, plus if anything happens Alchemy goods awesome staff will help you repair it or cover it under the lifetime warranty.

Truly a stellar small bag that's great for the city or even when you're hiking

Deuter ACT Trail 24 Daypack

Let me start off by saying I'm not one to spend money lightly, but after buying this pack I can safely say it was totally worth it.

It sits comfortably on my hips the way a good pack should, the straps are wide enough to distribute the load well and you can fit quite a lot in it for its size. Enough for a two day trip, three if you travel lightly like I do. It breathes well and has some nice features. The side and bottom zippers that let you get to things at the bottom of the pack are very nice for example. I have yet to try the rain cover stored in the bottom, but it looks like it will do its job well and covers the pack totally.

All in all, this is a good pack for shorter trips that don't merit the use of a 5000+ cubic inch pack.

This is a good pack that I've used for day hikes and once for an overnight trip. The built-in rain cover works well. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that the mesh side pocket can be difficult to get things into, especially if your water bottle (or whatever) is wide.

Edit: It appears the design of the pack has changed slightly from the one I bought, and perhaps the side mesh pocket is different now. Also, this a general problem with all bags, but a large water bladder fully filled really takes up a lot of the space in the bag. So, please keep that in mind during your purchase.

Regardless, I'm still very happy with the bag.

I order this pack as a gift for my Husband...I haven't given it to him yet so I am not sure what he thinks of it, but I love it! I looked at a lot of packs before deciding on this one. I love that this has a wire frame that helps the bag hold its shape. The hip belt and shoulder straps are nice and soft. The pack has tons of pockets and supports a hydration system. The colors of this pack are even better in person...much deep and richer!
