my 7yr old is unsure because it has the top closure flap. but she loves that is zebra.

I was surprised at how little this was when it came. The product description made it sound like it was the size of a normal school backpack for children. However it is not quite that big. It is very cute though. It fits her notebooks and a book or two, but a folder is too tall to fit inside without bending the folder. It also doesn't hold as much as a typical school backpack from the superstore would. However, my daughter is only going into 1st grade so I think it will do for this year at least. We will soon see, but if not it is a darling sleepover pack!

The bag was smaller than I thought. My fault for not verifying the size. However the flap buckle tore after barely a month into school. My granddaughter really loved the style color but she's very dissapointed now that it's torn. She still uses it.The ones I bought last year made it through the whole year and just a little dirty from use but otherwise great shape. This should have lasted longer.
